281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 28, 2024, 05:42:24 AM
Sri Lankan test cricket team is better cricket team than Bangladeshi International test cricket team . Sri Lankan test cricket team played very confidently. De Silva played very well and that's why he was awarded as player of the match. He played  excellent in both innings and made centuries for his country. He made 102 runs in first inning of match and he made 108 runs in second inning of the match . Mendis also played very well in both innings. He made 102 runs in 1st inning of the match and he made 164 runs in 2nd inning of match.

I am not sure what they will gain from this win. Sri Lanka has performed pathetically against the pig-4 nations recently. After the retirement of Malinga, they are without a world class player. They do have some good spinners like Theekshana and Hasaranga. But apart from that they don't have a well balanced team to take on the best sides. Bangladesh is in even poor situation. The only time they perform well is when they play against SENA nations in dust bowls prepared at home. Even that didn't worked against Sri Lanka.

They probably will end up giving captaincy responsibilities to Rohit again if they keep losing some more games on the trot just like what CSK did with Dhoni when they kept losing under Jadeja sometime back.

That will happen sooner or later. Hardik's strategy yesterday was laughable. I have no idea why he didn't allowed Bumrah to bowl until it was too late. By that time the damage was done and Kwena Maphaka and Gerald Coetzee in particular were leaking tons. Hardik himself wasn't of much use, as he also went for more than 11 runs per over. Bumrah stood out, with his figures of 4-0-36-0 (amazing, given the fact that most of the the time he bowled against Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram at the depth overs).

Sri Lanka-W vs South Africa-W

Today 1 st game of this series South Africa-W vs Sri Lanka-W team and T20i game was ended South Africa-W team proved in this game that they are stronger than Sri Lanka -W team. Sri Lanka-W team won toss and they gave a first batting lineup chance to South Africa-W team. This game was ended in Willowmoore Park, Benoni stadium ane lucky for South Africa-W team. South Africa-W team set 198 big runs target in T20I game by Losing 5 wickets. One opener batsman L.Wolvaardt scored full century 102 runs in 63balls with twelve 4s and three 6s and due to her brilliant effort she got a player of game medal. M.Kapp also batted well and scored 60 runs in 40 balls. Sri Lanka-W team was failed to perform good and did not chase down this big target and lost game by big margin of 79 runs. This was the 1 st game condition and I believe that this condition become more worst in next games.

Asian teams are a level below SENA nations when it comes to women's cricket. Therefore the victory margin was not surprising. Yesterday, the Protea women setup a massive total of close to 200, with Laura Wolvaardt hitting century. Marizanne Kapp supported her with 60 from her side. There was not a single Lankan bowler who had economy of 8 per over or lower. And in return, the famed Lankan batters got bundled out for just 119. Chamari Athapaththu got out for just 1. There was some resistance from Harshitha Samarawickrama and Hasini Perera, but in the end it was not enough.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 28, 2024, 03:21:20 AM
Here in India, as such gambling is illegal (unless it is in the form of government approved lotteries). And a lot of times the illegal gambling dens get raided by local police (that is unless they pay the bribes on time). But the government is completely helpless when it comes to online gambling. They can't take any action, because the web servers are situated abroad, in countries where gambling is legal. Law enforcement is always a step behind in terms of technological innovations. In the end, government ends up losing valuable tax revenue, and the citizens still participate in gambling through the online loophole.

Yes, I am also hearing a lot of people talk about it right now. Also watching the news outlets going crazy about this news. I don't think it is already official. There is a discussion going on about it. But most likely it is going to happen. Very well the channels and the media outlets are trying to milk every possible view out of it. But anyway I think it is going to be really good for Pakistan cricket team going forward. That decisions that were being taken previously, I am going to be honest that I did not like those. But recently it seems like the Pakistan Cricket Board has started to make good decisions

Although the Pakistani team need a change at the top, I am not sure Babar Azam is the right option. He was given the chance once, and he failed to perform. In case he is made captain again, then it need to be ensured that his performance is not impacted. PCB is desperate, because their experiments with Shaheen Shah Afridi was a disaster, and Shan Masood also underperformed at this level. I would have rather gone for Mohammad Rizwan, but he seems to have few backers in the PCB.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2024, 02:48:22 AM
Non Asian teams are better than Asian teams in cricket for reasons other than when women cricket started in different places. Things like having good facilities money good coaches and programs to develop talent help teams like Australia and England succeed. Asian teams are trying to get better but they need to invest more in sport to catch up and do well internationally. In match we are talking about Sri Lanka had hard time with both bowling and batting even though their captain did really well by scoring hundred runs. Sri Lanka needs to work on fixing their weaknesses especially in beginning of their innings to do better in future matches.

There is a reason why SENA teams are better than sub-continental teams when it comes to women's cricket. The Asian cricket boards (BCCI, PCB, SLCB and BCB) have ignored women's cricket for so long. WPL was established only in 2023, one and a half decades after IPL came in to picture. On the other hand, boards such as CNZ, ECB and CA have well established women's T20 franchise leagues. And even among Asian boards, apart from the BCCI no one has any interest in setting up such a league. And ACB is even worse. They don't even have a women's team.

What a fantastic performance from Sunrisers Hyderabad. They lost the last match against Kolkata by just a few runs. Today, revenge for losing that match came against Mumbai Indians. the only except Mayank Agarwal batted brilliantly. Expected a good performance from Klaasen, especially in the last match but it ended up falling short. But he didn't make that kind of mistake in today's match. He brilliantly perform and change the state of the match to such a stage that it is not a very easy task for any team. As far as I know there is no team in the history of IPL has more runs than today. Last saw the highest score of 263 runs in 2013. But it is not the fact that Mumbai Indians have also done badly. They also scored a good score of 246 runs. Everyone contributed well to the team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is a team with world class batsmen and quite ordinary bowlers. They have Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma as the local players, and then Travis Head, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen as the overseas contingent. They broke several records today, but the fact that MI came so close should be a concern. Apart from Pat Cummins they don't have any good bowlers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaydev Unadkat are close to retirement and they are out of form. And ever since Rashid Khan left, they are devoid of a quality spinner.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2024, 05:37:41 PM
LOL.. these guys never get tired or what? First it was Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Once these two got out, it was the turn of Naman Dhir and Tilak Varma. And now it is Hardik Pandya and Tim David. But even after such spectacular performances from all these players, Mumbai Indians are nowhere close to winning. The difference here is that Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen were just unbelievable. The best of MI batsmen are still not enough to overcome the blitzkrieg from Head and Klaasen. Just two overs remain now.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2024, 05:16:23 PM
LOL.. these two guys (Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya) are really going for it. Mumbai Indians are refusing to bow down to the Hyderabadis. They are 180/3 after just 13.4 overs. This is perhaps the most amazing chase I have ever seen in any T20 match. All the SRH bowlers got a lot of stick. Mayank Markande went for 37 from his 3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar went for 33 from 3. Jaydev Unadkat went at 14 runs per over, and Shahbaz Ahmed was a bit more economical with 13 runs per over. Mumbai having the upper hand at this point? WTF man!

Win Probability says MI has only 2.76% chance of winning this match. Seriously?
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: March 27, 2024, 05:10:46 PM
Today's match will be the most competitive of the few matches played in the Indian Premier League. Because so far Sunrise Hyderabad is ahead, because collecting 277 runs is a matter of patience in this T20 match. With experienced batsmen, Sunrise Hyderabad has been able to score massive runs, if Mumbai Indians can keep the team under bowling pressure from the start then surely the chances of victory are high today.

LOL.. competitive? I don't think that Mumbai can come anywhere near the target. They need 278 to win. I would be really surprised if they can even get to 200. Two of the best batsmen are gone - Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. They have some big hitters down the order such as Tim David, but then the Hyderabad bowling attack is also quite decent. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't included Natarajan for the match today. Instead of Umran Malik, they could have played Thangarasu Natarajan.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2024, 04:39:12 PM
Mumbai went all guns blazing, but then Hyderabad bowlers cut them down to size. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan added 56 runs in just 3.1 overs, before Pat Cummins and Shahbaz Ahmed nabbed them respectively. First three overs from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaydev Unadkat went for 56 runs. Umran Malik is now bowling, as he has come as the substitute for Travis Head. However looks like he hasn't learnt anything till now. His first over has been expensive and went for 15 runs. Naman Dhir and Tilak Varma at the crease now.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2024, 03:28:08 PM
Sunrisers Hyderabad do have a very good chance to get to the record for highest team total in the IPL. Previous record was made long back in 23rd April 2013, when Royal Challengers Bangalore made 263/5 against Pune Warriors at Bangalore. Back then Chris Gayle made a massive individual score of 175, from just 66 balls (and then picked up 2 wickets while bowling as well). At this point, SRH are at 214/3 with 4 more overs to go. Scoring rate dropped down a bit, but even now there is a chance that this record will be broken.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: March 27, 2024, 03:10:23 PM
I think Sunrisers Hyderabad are going to set a new record. They are 173/3 after just 12 overs. If they can maintain the current run rate, then they may get to a total of close to 300. And at this point, two of the most powerful hitters in T20 cricket are at the crease: Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen. And I am very surprised with the fact that the best Mumbai bowler - Jasprit Bumrah has just bowled one over till now. This is just crazy. I am not sure what is going on in the mind of Harddick Pandya. This guy is just a huge failure as the captain.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 27, 2024, 01:46:01 PM
In the first test match between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Bangladesh lost the first test match against Sri Lanka by a big margin. In the first test match, the Bangladeshi bowlers could not bowl well and the Bangladeshi batsmen could not bat with responsibility at all, due to which Bangladesh accepted a big defeat even in the condition of their home ground. Defeated in the first Test, the Bangladeshi Tigers will surely fight to bounce back in the second Test. If Bangladesh can draw the second test match, this series will be the most interesting series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka won the series in T20 and Bangladesh won the series in ODI. In that case, if there is a draw in the Test match, we must accept that all the series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have been very tough contests.

Against teams like New Zealand, Bangladeshis were able to win matches as a result of preparing dust-bowls. But this tactic doesn't work against Sri Lanka, as they have some of the best test spinners in the world. So the curators prepared sporting wickets, which failed to swing the match in Bangladesh's favor. They lost the first match by a very heavy margin and prospects are very bleak for the second match as well. I would advice them to prepare a sporting pitch for the second match and face the enemies courageously.

Australia women whitewashed the Bangladesh women team in all three matches of the series even though they didn't cross 100 score in all the matches. Bangladesh women team disappointing performance only scored 88 only in the ODI match while they were playing at their home condition. I think the Bangladesh women team should make some changes and also change the skipper of the team. Ashleigh Gardner the All round player also earned the player of series. Australia women team brilliant effort in this series and finally, they finished the series on a high note winning all matches.

A few factors to be considered here:

1. Bangladesh was playing at home
2. The track was tailor-made for the Bangladeshi spinners
3. Australia had a pace-heavy attack
4. Some of the Australian players were unavailable for the tour
5. Australians didn't got much time to get adjusted to the Bangladeshi conditions

Despite all this, Bangladeshi women didn't managed to even offer a decent fight against the Australians. They were bowled out for two digit totals in all the three matches. What is the point in organizing such tours?
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2024, 01:12:15 PM
Mumbai Indians are strong on paper. But they are not performing well ever since Hard dick Pandya was named as the captain of the squad. Fans are booing him, and even some of the players are not happy playing under his captaincy. So far they have played one match, and lost it. Today they are up against a relatively weak team and it is a good opportunity for them to get the first points for this season. BTW Surya Kumar Yadav will miss today's match as well, as he is still recovering from ankle surgery.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 27, 2024, 01:01:43 PM
First ODI match, Bangladesh scored 95/10(All Out)
In the first match, only 8 batsmen of Bangladesh were out in single digits.

Second ODI match, Bangladesh scored 97/10(All Out)
In the second ODI match, like the first match in Bangladesh, 8 batsmen were dismissed in single digit runs.

Third ODI match, Bangladesh scored 89/10(All Out)
In the third ODI, seven Bangladeshi batsmen were dismissed in single digit runs. With such a batting performance, how well can Bangladesh expect to perform against a strong team in Australia.

They are simply not in the same league. Australian women are a hundred times better and more experienced. BCB has hardly any interest in growing cricket in their country, especially in regions outside Dhaka and also among age groups and women. This year they are supposed to receive $26.74 million from the ICC as their share in media rights revenue. I don't know where this money is going to. It's not going to the national team, because most of the players are only earning a fraction of what their counterparts in Australia or England are earning.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 27, 2024, 08:55:13 AM
For three consecutive matches in a row, Bangladesh women failed to get to a total of at least 100. Today also they got bowled out for a two digit score, as they could get to only 89. And once again, it was the pacers who did the trick. Kim Garth and Ellyse Perry shared 5 wickets between them, and lower order and tail was mopped up by Sophie Molineux and Ashleigh Gardner. Extras top-scored for Bangladesh, with 20. Apart from that Nigar Sultana made 16 runs. And in return, Australia chased down the total in less than 20 overs.

Bangladesh Women vs Australia Women

Today A match between Bangladesh Women and Australia Women, is going to start shortly at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. It seems, no change their Squads. Australia Women is already hot choice as today's winning team cause they already proved their ability in last matches where they defeated Bangladesh Women badly, in batting and bowling both sector. In 1st match, Australia Women won by 118 runs where Bangladesh Women scared 95 runs and in 2nd match, Australia Women won by 6 wickets where Bangladesh Women all out within 97 runs. So I'm expecting Australia Women to win again by analysis their performance.

Bangladesh women have started in usual fashion and they have already lost one wicket. Sumaiya Akter was nabbed by Ellyse Perry without scoring and now Fargana Hoque and Murshida Khatun are at the crease. Kim Garth and Ellyse Perry are making life hell for the Bangladesh batters. This is the third and final ODI in the series. In the first two matches, Bangladesh women failed to make three digit total and the same may happen today as well. Anyway, Bangladesh should take this as a learning opportunity.
