281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you define Blockchain Technology in a single phrase? on: January 14, 2020, 04:39:38 PM
The simplest way to describe blockchain technology that
" blockchain technology is a decentralized form of database"
The decentralized nature  makes it easier for people to easily access transactions make on the network or system.
282  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG, BitCoin is spiking !!! What is causing this ??? on: January 14, 2020, 04:29:43 PM
First and foremost, you should understand that this is not the first time the market value of bitcoin is spiking and will not be the last. For the actual reasons causing the spike of bitcoin, no one can specifically pinpoint what is causing it. You just have to take advantage of this spike and make some profits out of it. If you want to focus on finding the actual cause of this spike, you might just be wasting your time.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WeChat and Crypto on: January 14, 2020, 04:08:49 PM
when many large industries accept crypto, such as Facebook, Twitter, Samaung, Whatsapp.  but other applications like WeChat choose to ban users from crypto trading.  I see WeChat's decision will have a negative impact on the value of their quantity.  because the world today is very enthusiastic about the crypto world.you can see this source https://www.coindesk.com/messaging-giant-wechat-bans-merchant-users-from-crypto-trading

What people need to understand is that  the mass adoption of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to be precise, do not really need the approval of these big companies and platforms. The nature of cryptocurrency will make it difficult for any centralized company or platform to accept the use and ideology of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to be precise.  People shouldn't be surprise when centralised companies and platforms make such remarks about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 03:57:00 PM
A US District Judge has just ruled that Craig Wright will receive additional time to prove he could still be Satoshi Nakamoto, the self-proclaimed founder of Bitcoin. Specifically, the judge’s ruling comes in the ongoing legal battle between Craig Wright and the estate of late Dave Kleiman, Wright’s former partner.

Wright has until February 3rd to prove he has control over the Bitcoin. So the end of Craig Wright's false claims is finally coming to an end in less than a month!

Reference: https://toshitimes.com/us-judge-rules-craig-wright-has-23-days-to-prove-he-is-satoshi-nakamoto/

Thoughts??

Personally, I don't think Craig Wright has anything to prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. He will just find an excuse to make up stories just to keep trending. I don't still understand why people still believe that he is Satoshi Nakamoto and still give him unnecessary attention..
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: January 12, 2020, 04:28:39 PM
I remember when both Uber or Airbnb each came out. You could save money using them. Now you can't.

Isn't there any good Uber or Airbnb type products that run on bitcoin?

I was thinking about long distance phone calls. A long time ago you had to pay for that. Then it gradually became free.

I'm surprised that we haven't seen that happen with Ride Sharing or even BnB's. Because think about it, both of those are pretty much commodities in society. By now they should be extremely cheap. They should be just a fraction of what is charged by Uber or Airbnb.

Especially with a ride share product. The driver could just pull over. Pick someone up, and then earn some bitcoin for driving them, to or at least close to their drop off point. But mainly compete heavily on price to disrupt the whole Uber or Airbnb sectors.

Like one day in the same way we say "remember when you had to pay for long distance".... instead people will be saying "remember when you had to pay for a Cab, wasn't that crazy?" I want this to happen somehow soon.  Shocked

What do you think?

What you need to understand is that, it takes time for people to understand the true value of bitcoin and its purpose.  The adoption of bitcoin is gonna be a gradual process we just have to patience and wait till majority understand why bitcoin is needed...
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you currently holding cryptocurrencies and now speculating what will happen? on: January 12, 2020, 04:23:46 PM
True believers of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to be precise do not speculate what is gonna happen in the near future.  Once you understand the true value of what you have invested in, you do not have doubts or speculations about what is gonna happen next because you know the future of whatever you have invested in. True believers don't speculate.
287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help with mycelium. on: January 12, 2020, 04:19:06 PM
Mate, the amount of bitcoin you have in the mycelium wallet is not worth what you are seeing. I advise that you check the market value of bitcoin at coinmarketcap.com. You should also set the price value of 1 bitcoin on the wallet to that of coinmarketcap and stop believing in this nonsense 😊😊
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future ?? on: January 12, 2020, 04:14:17 PM
First and foremost, what do you mean by saying bitcoin is the future?  I have realized that a lot of people in the crypto space do not really understand and know what cryptocurrencies are and the technologies behind some of these crypto coins. In as much that there are a lot of altcoins in the market does not mean all of them a shit. Some of these altcoins have mind blowing technologies which can transform the world if we focus on their technologies rather than the crypto coins.  Bitcoin introduced blockchain technology and altcoins came into existence through blockchain technology. Blockchain technology is rather the future not Bitcoin...
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: free advertising for btc? on: January 12, 2020, 03:58:45 PM
Have you ever heard a show discussing bitcoin in their segment good or bad, i think this shows that we are already going in the real world for good and there will be no stopping us, even if trump, colbert, and buffet try to contradict what crypto really is , this is really a good sign, since this show in national TV will make people curious about bitcoin, i hope there will be more of this here is the link and see for yourself
https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/01/12/late-night-host-exposed-millions-bitcoin/

What a lot of people in the crypto space need to understand is that, bitcoin do not really need the approval of the big names in the world before it can successful or attain mass adoption. It takes time for good things to be fully understood by shallow minded people and people who refuse to have open mind to new ways of doing things and technology. Its good that people are putting things in place for bitcoin to be made public and easy for people to understand.  We just pray and hope it lasts long.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming from altcoin to bitcoin on: January 11, 2020, 05:50:37 PM
I don't know if its the right call or not but i just feel like its better to sell my bags of altcoins for bitcoin, most of the altcoins i owned are not top altcoins, mostly new coins from bounties and I've seen coins worth of 2k turn 20$ while holding them, finally i decide to take out the losses and invest in bitcoin, if you are holding any altcoins that aren't good enough do not hesitate to sell for bitcoin to at least make some profits

Considering the entire crypto ecosystem and new coins entering the Altcoin market, it is not worth it to hold some new altcoins for long. I always advice people to sell them for top cryptocurrencies because most of these new coins do not really have anything to add to the crypto ecosystem. If you decide to keep a new altcoin, you should know and understand what that coin is introducing into the crypto market and how different and unique its ideologies are. If it has a particular purpose, it is okay to hold unto it..
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: January 11, 2020, 05:42:31 PM
With small amount of capital like $279, in order to maximize your investment profit margins, you should rather invest in Altcoins with market value less than $1. Also depending on your investment plans (either long term or short term or daily trading), your choose of crypto coin really matters in terms of profit margins...
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about NEO? on: January 11, 2020, 05:30:37 PM

What do you think about NEO? Will it survive? Or will fade from existence over time? Huh

Any crypto coin with a working product or a working technology which is very useful in the technological world will definitely be in existence so far as the technology is useful. NEO presents a good and working technology. So far as NEO makes a difference in the crypto space, its never gonna fade from existence.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Top Performing Altcoin In 2020 on: January 11, 2020, 05:12:37 PM
The year is too young to predict and know which particular altcoins will be top performing in 2020. But personally, I don't really see any altcoin which  has a good potential to perform extremely well.  I don't really see Ethereum going beyond $200 in this month.  The Altcoin market is kinda slow in terms of its change in market value.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla boy does it again! on: January 10, 2020, 04:13:41 PM
Why is it so important that Elon Musk need to accept bitcoin? This is opinion, let's leave him to say anything he likes after all he is in charge of his own opinion and thought. The entire Bitcoin ecosystem do not really needs Elon Musk to be successful. It's already successful.  It is just the matter of time for it to gain mass adoption...
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Elon Musk developing a quantum computer? on: January 10, 2020, 03:43:04 PM
Go ask him on Twitter.

Hahahahaha... Exactly!  People usually ask unnecessary questions on this forum all the time. How can we know what Elon Musk is planning regarding the manufacturing of a quantum  computer?  As mk4 said, you can personally find out from Elon Musk yourself on  Twitter...
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 10, 2020, 03:11:56 PM
Seemingly in the news we hear how China is anti Bitcoin and anti cryptocurrency and well that may be all well and true but for an anti Bitcoin Country they sure do have lots of hash. In the Top 10 mining Pools in the world China has around 4 maybe even more. Which comes to the question what is really going on in China & The Bitcoin. As usual thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks.

Can you please provide us with the source of the information with regards to China being an anti-bitcoin country. The speculations regarding  China being an anti-bitcoin is one of the FUDs been spread on the entire bitcoin ecosystem. There is no specific evidence to back this speculation.  For the time I have been in the crypto space, I haven't seen any truth in this.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: January 09, 2020, 04:33:22 PM
The safety of every cryptocurrency depends on how you the user keeps your wallet.  So far as your wallet has good secure security protocols, your  crypto coin is safe. USDT is safe in terms of avoiding reduction in the value of the capital you used to purchased the coin. USDT has no volatility compared to bitcoin. In terms of value, USDT is very safe.
298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitrcoin is going up on: January 09, 2020, 03:45:32 PM
I have 3 things in my mind about this rising price again

1. The current situation between Iran and US, with the price of oil rising, everything goes up, so as crypto as it can be use for funding by the government and other people may also be preparing for the worse,

2. We may be witnessing the second bull run, it is what we are waiting for right, just dont be get too excited ofcourse.

3. Whales might be doing something , or maybe they are trying to rally the price and then dump it, like always.

But no matter what is the cause you should be very careful on what we are going to do next , always keep in mind what happen before but, if you feel this is the time don't hesitate we might be witnessing something more better this time.

So what is causing the price of bitcoin to drop now?  People easily draw conclusions to any little changes that depends in the market value of bitcoin.  Personally, I'm fed up with all these assumptions made by bitcoin and its market value.  Please we need enough evidence for these assumptions...
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Centralization on: January 09, 2020, 03:02:59 PM
While most people tend to market bitcoin as being anti centralization, anti govt. so on and so forth, it occurred to me that it might just be centralized too. Seemingly we still have whales out there hoarding not just 1 5 or 10 bitcoins and its many many forks mind you (free Extra money) but with thousands upon thousands of bitcoins. So in all of this it's kind of a scary dilemma. What are you thoughts and comments on this seemingly true fact? Thoughts and comments are more than welcome.

I think you don't  really understand what centralisation and decentralization actually means. Decentralization is the crypto space means no one controls the amount of transactions made by an individual within a day and the amount of funds the person is sending. Decentralization means financial freedom. You should also know that decentralization is cause the frequent change in the market value of most cryptocurrencies since the decentralized nature causes people to determine the market price of a particular coin.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 08, 2020, 05:48:07 PM
Trading volume is the essential element needed to determine the true value of any crypto coin. Without good trading volume, that particular crypto coin is worthless even if its value if a million dollar. Trading volume is what is needed to give a crypto coin it's relevance in the crypto market.
