On paper, Napoli seems difficult to catch even though they lost yesterday against Lazio and lost points. Napoli have been confirmed to win the Italian league this season and while the 4 clubs under Intermilan, Lazio, As Roma and Acmilan are fighting for the top 4 positions to qualify for the ticket to the Champions league, Roma's victory last night made him up to 4th place with the same points as Acmilan. The following weekend will be an interesting match for the top 4 positions.

Union Berlin have started another bad form in the Bundesliga. I must admit that I'm not surprised at all because we have seen it before in this season also.
I don't see it awkward of course because they weren't a team from which people had big expectations before the beginning of the season. They are already performing much better than the expected level. But as of now I assume the expectation level would be at top 4. The supporters must be wishing to see their team in the Champions League next time. They are still a part of the Europa League on one hand and eliminated a challenging competitor like Ajax. I don't know how much they can do more there but one thing is certain that Union Berlin are having a wonderful season anyway.
Union Berlin have really try their best for this season, this is a team in previous season their performance was not up to what they have this season. It seems like injuries have significantly affected Neymar's career. Despite this, I truly love Neymar's presence on the field. I don't think United's defeat against Liverpool will affect Manchester United's upcoming matches. It was a totally unexpected defeat. No one imagined that Manchester United could be beaten so badly. It was like a nightmare. However, Ten Hag will surely learn from the mistakes made by United's players in this match and try to rectify the mistakes. And if he can correct the mistakes, Manchester United will become even stronger.

Funny how most of the fans yesterday thought that they can defeat Liverpool and even more , score around 4 goals  which made ma laugh as whenever you count your chickens before the fight , you end up counting nothing but sorrow. Chelsea have been excellent in their transfer businesses this year and to sum it up, finalising a deal with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez before the end of the transfer window was good business. It’s a shame to see things are still the same despite investing so much in a short time. Todd Boehly has been patient with Graham Potter but I don’t think Potter will still be Chelsea’s manager before the end of the season.
The problem is it's not all of the transfers that were already done by chelsea are needed by potter. Potter has been blaming chelsea's owner for such a transfer decision. There was a rumor about mudryk's transfer had been made by todd boehly as owner for chelsea and it's not coming from potter as a manager of chelsea. Chelsea is now in a very difficult situation where there are many conflicts happening in the club. I personally think that if potter will be also kicking some players out of the club if he will able to continue his career at chelsea. The decision to sack him has not been made due to the management is still believing in him to make a change in the club someday. It's very sad to see that even brighton's boss was also mocking chelsea by also targeting its clearning service staff. The reputation that owned by chelsea already destroyed due to the todd's decision to being some unuseful player to the stamford bridge. I also see possibility of kicking out some players who Potter will not like to continue with if he eventually remains at the club. I don't support the idea of signing players who are not the choices of the coach. Todd Boehly made lots of choices which were not in agreement with the coach and as a result will bring conflicting ideas in the team and undermines Potters authority in the team. . I don't see reasons why Chelsea will still keep players that are not profitable to the club, the best thing is just to kick the players that the club is not using. It has been great match so far in the German bundesliga today in the encounter between Brusia Dortmund and Rb Leipzig, I will say that this match is crucial because of how important it is to both teams but when I consider the two team form I will give it to the host team which is Brusia Dormund because they have performed very well this season and also consistent in all round both in ball control in other words ball possession, the away team is also good but we can't compare their recent form with that of the host team.
Dortmund have played well and won the match 2-1. The goals came at the 21 st and 39 th minute. Leipzig had the best in terms of pass accuracy, ball possession and shots on target. However they weren't able to turn those to be goals until the 74 th minute. With the win Dortmund makes a seven points lead on the points table. With this Dortmund makes its ten wins in a row. From the beginning of the match Leipzig scared the Dortmund with their shots. Possibly it is their bad luck this time. Leipzig performance was impressive, with good passes and shots but they couldn't convert opportunities to goals. Liverpool able to score 7 goals against Manchester United, does Liverpool can able to score at least 4 goals to Real Madrid? it's a hard task for Liverpool because the match will happen on Real Madrid's home. Manchester city whom I thought was going to have an easy qualification to the next phase is giving me cold feet on their ability. The more difficult circumstance is chelsea who will have nothing to talk if successfully sent away by Borussia Dortmund. With Dortmund current form, it will be so difficult for Chelsea to turn things round.
There is no doubt that Manchester City is the only team from England who will qualify for the next round even though they are now on the same aggregate as Leipzig. But for Chelsea I have no more hope for this club considering they are still slumped in the domestic league, but last night's match Chelsea was able to win with a narrow score but that was not enough to compensate for Dortmund's performance this season which was so extraordinary. So I think Chelsea will be eliminated in the second leg later against Dortmund, even though Chelsea are the hosts but that is not a strong guarantee that can make them safe. Chelsea won't be among team in the premier league that will be participating for next season, Chelsea performance is not up to champions league standard. Next season will be used to revive and strengthen the team. Chelsea has lots of work to do to improve the team in the way it used to be in the past. |

I admit that yesterday's Napoli vs Lazio match disappointed me a bit. I expected more from both teams. Napoli had the advantage, but little came of that advantage. There were no scoring chances. Lazio focused on interfering with the rival and waiting for counterattacks.
I also thought that Napoli would win the match because of their domination and how they played at that match. Napoli did high pressure to attack Lazio, but Lazio was really string in defending, and they prepared very well their defense. And once Lazio has the chance to counter attack, they did it and make a goal. This must be shocking Napoli players, but this is the real fact that always happen. However, luckily, Napoli will still stay at the first standing because of their amazing gaps of the point difference. Lazio played in a different way that favoured them to win the match, the victory from Lazio was so unexpected because Napoli have not lose any game for awhile and winning is not a problem for Napoli but this time it wasn't easy for Napoli. Lazio performance was very great and interesting. |
