We need an XC decentralised kickstarter app, (kinda like lighthouse)  I'd say first a decentralized exchange, then file storage, then the kickstarter app. Yeah I didn't mean straight away, just another idea to add to the huge list of potential ideas. Then again, perhaps if we did the decentralized kickstarter first, we could then crowdfund for more coders etc to get working on the other apps!  |

As a result of this, Moopay LTD will be filing for bankruptcy and dissolution following the administration process; and ceasing operations. All client funds held in consumer accounts are safe, and can be withdrawn as per normal at this moment in time. If you fail to withdraw your funds before the platform is shut down on October 31st, I think the Oct 21st deadline relates to Moolah not Mintpal As a result of this, MintPal will no longer be managed by Moolah (we do not own it, we are responsible for management). We have sourced a new management team for it, and the following will be occurring.
MintPal will be coming down immediately – in light of critical errors being disclosed. The new management team will be making a number of stability changes, UI improvements and bug fixes. They will also be handling the resolution of issues surrounding missing balances. An update will be following on mintpal.com shortly, with details of further timeframes. Mintpal is down but if it's not owned by Moolah then once the issues are resolved coins should be able to be withdrawn? so besides the wallet, whats the better place now for xc guys. Bittrex and cryptsy took over for now. hope to see btc38 recognise xc sooner than later. i use cryptsy for my alt trading is it woth switching to trex. they both have their history be it long withdrawals or hosting questionable ICOs.
I use bittrex, never had the slightest problem. I used to use cryptsy but decided to change to bittrex after some scaremongering went around on /r/bitcoin a few months ago. |

ahh minpal so sucks... well moolah sucks... had 102 xc in there befor change. then no ballance when they came back. put in ticket then nothing, no responce. oh well such is the crypto life. Ill just keep gathering xc as I can.
Unlucky mate.  Shit happens I guess. I only had 1 XC on there just to test it out luckily. I had about about 500 on there before the changeover though. glad I managed to get them off in time. |

well, wasn't I a bright spark buying at 26! I've bought even higher... no worries, XC will get to such heights again. Can't say such thing about other alts, but XC is just rock solid. To compensate I bought even more XC now with the low prices I posted this in the wrong thread haha! (I've deleted the post now) I don't regret buying XC! I've bought XC between 12 & 16 so its not too bad. (though I can't see my mintpal history and think i bought my first lot there so could have paid higher) Either way... No Regrets, patiently waiting on news!! |

Dan reviewing other coin's code is the best marketing strategy XC could have.
All of the other coin's investor's see their coin's code was reviewed by a guy named Dan, and so they look him up...
This leads them to XC... and because they are already invested in a coin that Dan is reviewing they are more likely to invest in XC.
This is a VERY high yield marketing strategy, and money cannot buy better leads than this.
yeah no. I see a dev reviewing shitcoins and I see a developer who isn't excited enough about his own project to funnel all of his energy there. Throw in the fact that the coins are competing - I see a developer who doesn't understand the term conflict of interest. So no. That's not what everyone sees. The reason other teams continue to ignore Dan's requests to hold off on collaboration announcements is they are trying to pump their coins. Anyone who has been part of our community for some time is already used to it, hope it benefits xcurrency.
Exactly, and I can't really be arsed with trying to catch the pump and dump any more. The sooner everyone does the same, the sooner the truly innovative coins will rise to the top. Imo. |

Hi guys, been away a few days, just having a catch up. That WSJ article is good. Agree we should mention XC in the comments at least. I really hope XC is going to be on the road to being the first to "decentralise everything" and while doing all these collabs, is collecting up all the good bits of code and implementing it somehow. I'm sure it's all much more complex than this but if Dan is helping out others I would presume they are helping us out back in some beneficial way. Suprise suprise the other team released the news first again, but for some reason this time I dont mind. Gotta trust the team basically at this point. It's a gamble, but I've already taken it. (could be bullshit, not looked into it properly, but...) http://www.businessinsider.com/snapchat-hacked-the-snappening-2014-10this is bad news (obviously!) but i couldn't help but think, this is great news for XC! dunno if its this article, or another I read, but apparently, 4chan are gonna make a way you can search for snapchat pics by username.. ive never used it, but i always thought snapchats selling point was u can send a pic and its gone after a few seconds. apparently these lot have collected all pics for the last year or so. Anyway, point is, if this is actually happening, we need to make it known we have the perfect solution (or we need to hurry and get it out there) only heard about this on twitter and the above article, so could be bullshit, but if real.... marketing opportunity??? |

I cannot wait for decentralized internet. i watched this earlier. infuriating! but decentralized internet is happening. no doubt about it! would be lovely if xc got there first though ay!?  |

A lot of the images are messed up.

Are you sure they are not centered , i try to measure them by eye roughly, look centered but just like they have accidentally invented one of those optical illusion pictures that fucks with your eyes haha! i know what your saying, i had to measure using my mouse cursor lol. anyway, i think this is the least of their problems, just seems to be the only thing to look at on there right now with no charts!
