281  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: March 03, 2024, 10:18:25 AM
Your friend is really something if you ask me OP, ain't no way that I can think of that can justify that gambling is better for anybody if they do it everyday, that's literally an addiction already and it's also admirable how they're able to go that length of spending in gambling and how they're able to sustain a daily dose of that gambling habit is far beyond me, there's no way that's a healthy thing plus it's fallacious to say that when you continue gambling everyday that you become one step closer to winning, that's not how gambling works, it's not a series of blanks (represents the losses) that's got a bullet at the end of the is a real bullet (which represents the win).
Joblessness and idleness could be a catalyst that drives that interest and comfort of spending that length of time daily gambling without bothering on other things. When you are engaged with other meaningful tasks makes you busy as a responsible to tackle and solve the task you won't have that much time to spend in a gambling hall or online casino but I'm the absence of responsibilities as such gambling could be taken as a means for you to stay busy. But I don't encourage anyone to gamble in that way.
282  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Do not overwork yourself on: March 03, 2024, 10:03:52 AM
Overworking oneself is not good health wise but in this current economic hardship with the high cost of living it creates a necessity to over working oneself but however it should be done in a strategic manner. Strategic in the sense that, after a long period of overworking we should create a space for rest, taking a leave to go for a bed rest. Today, me I no fit blame anybody wey the over work their body, some persons no get helper na them be their own helper and if them no work like that with all the responsibility surroundings them, them fit no meet up.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 03, 2024, 09:57:13 AM
It is not in my character to discourage people from doing what has been put in their mind to do especially in trying out new things for them, so I will say if you feel that interest to try your investment in that trajectory then go ahead, have never tried any casino's token so I can't say how they could be like in the long run but then try to do your deep research before going in with your asset.
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If there was no government to govern us (humans) on: March 03, 2024, 09:16:21 AM
At some points, I wonder how the world would be without a governance, I don't care to know about histories of how politics and government has been in existence before these days.
My interest is ... Could we (humans) had lived a peaceful soul here on earth without a governing body and no laws?
No I don't think it's not possible to human lives life peacefully on this earth with out no government or no laws. If there is no government or ruler to control a population then the people will take the law into their own hands which will result in one group killing another group or one person killing another person freely.  I think if this happens, the world will be more chaotic.  Moreover, in the current situation in which the world has come, it is impossible to think about the future without the government.
I think Op needs to read about Thomos Hobbes works about the State of Nature how life was solitary, brutish, and short as a result of lawlessness of the then society before the emergence of states serving as the sovereign for the protection of human lives and property.

With how I have seen life become in this present day despite a government in place with all legitimacy of coercion against all acts of lawlessness yet society is still proven to be dangerous then how much more when a State cease to exist. I don't wanna imagine living in  such society now.
285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Intelligence on: March 02, 2024, 09:40:07 PM
First, I sympathize with you regarding your condition, but I do believe neurologists specialized in that field would have been in better position to deliver to you workable advise on how or what to do to be able to hold on to a greater mass of memory as you said. If I am to advise you, I would say you don't worked up yourself about that much let it not affect your psychology rather concentrate on getting informations one at a time as they build in your mind it sticks forever instead of wanting to have them all at a go when your condition doesn't approve.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2024, 06:03:03 PM
As these monthly polls are mostly just a form of sentiment checkers in the forum, I'll limit the choices to just yes or no again.  And it would help if you post your thoughts itt.
]
As we can see bitcoin is breaking grounds this month of March. As we see from the chart just this two days in match from 61k it took a move to $64k and then a reversal interplayed that the price dropped to between  $59k and $60 where it seems like a support point  to me with a current consolidation price at $61 am not sure any reversal is reoccurring anymore then next is going to ba above the previous ATH thereby creating a new ATH upwards.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 02, 2024, 05:10:56 PM
Only a few goals in the first halves in England today... Waiting for the return goals from Wolves and Brighton... I would also like Liverpool to beat Nottingham Forest, but Liverpool have their next game against Sparta in the Europa League... Although they can't lose their lead in the EPL standings now, Nottingham Forest are not playing badly at home...

The first half has ended and while currently the big teams only Chelsea and Newcastle who are ahead, while Liverpool and Tottenham still seem to be having a very difficult time scoring goals against their opponents, Liverpool match so far is the most interesting and tense in my opinion, not because the two teams are still evenly matched but the crucial aspect of today match is like it or not, liverpool have to win and keep the top of the standings still theirs, the match was quite tough and Liverpool, who continued to hunt for the first goal, managed to dominate, but unfortunately not a single attack they carried out was able to produce a goal, although they were relatively defensive, but Nottingham Forest often makes Liverpool fans stop breathing because the counter attacks they do very well.
At the end the scores changed hands as Chelsea had to as usual fail not to disappoint it fans after taking the lead In the first half almost lost the game in the second half but they were luck to bring the game to a 2:2 draw, whereas Liverpool won their game by a 1 nil score while Tottenham won 3:1. Liverpool are keen to staying on the top of the table with that decisive goal from Nunez at added time, a game we thought was to end in a goaless draw.  In the game of football it's not yet over until the final whistle is blown
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 01, 2024, 11:47:34 PM
Greedy:
The gambler should avoid of the greediness in the gambling after the continuous gambling winning. The gambler should try to withdraw the funds from the gambling site after the good winning in the gambling site. Many loss the capital by doing high betting and random betting with the positive wipe with more winning. The most of the successful gamblers may skip greedy in their betting.

Greed in gambling doesn't end well most of the time. It doesn't mean we can aspire for bigger wins but we must learn to know when to walk away with our wins.
Greed is one behavior we gamblers constantly exhibit either in the amount of money we chose to stake with or in the odds we chose to make predictions on.  In the amount of money, a gambler who have been staking with $50 could just abruptly decide to use $200 to stake a particular game because he wants to double the potential winning amount, while on the other hand we also exhibit greed through the choice of picking big odds even when the chances are slim but because of the potential winning amount such odds can  give if won. Greed is just an attitude gamblers exhibit most times without even knowing they do not until a loss is experienced.

290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 01, 2024, 09:53:34 PM
Taking profit from your Bitcoin investment is not something bad and worth debating since all purpose of investment is basically to get profit at the very end of investing. During this profit taking one should understand a simple terminology like this one, firstly who holds longer makes the best profits, then why collect profits too early if your goal as an investor is to make steady profits with your investment, taking some profits after separate cycles is not bad as per if the need for it occurs.
I can't agree with your statement because long-term investment in Bitcoin is not the only way to get profit. A lot of profit can be earned even by short term investment. Many times it is seen that many people invest in Bitcoin for a short period of time and earn a lot of profit. If you have a large amount of bitcoins you will be able to earn a lot of profit from bitcoins even with short term investments. Let me show you an example how to earn profit by investing large amount of Bitcoin in short term.

We looked at the crypto currency market in September 2023 when the price of Bitcoin was around $25,000 and if you bought 1 Bitcoin it would be twice (2x) what it is today. This clearly shows that this is not a long-term investment but an example of a short-term investment. If you were to invest in the DCA method at the same price at the same time let's say you would have invested $100 per week or month. Then the amount of your invested bitcoins would be 6 x 100 dollars in 6 months i.e. 600 dollars.

So if you have more amount of money then invest more amount of bitcoins and you will be able to earn more profit even if it is a short term investment.

It is short term if you decide to sell.  Bitcoin can be whatever you like, and if you sell too much too soon, you might have wished that you had treated your investment into bitcoin as long term instead of short term.
In making the best profits in bitcoin it is in a long term period of investment and not in short term. There's no comparison that can equate the profits of a long term hodler and that of a short term even though the short term hodler decides to do a lump sum within the ahort term. For instance Mr. X  and Mr.Y owns 1btc each 4 years ago, and after two years Mr.X decides to sell due to the profit that has been made while Mr Y keeps holding till date even to the future, the both investor's profits can't be compared as he who's still holding for a long term will be in the best profit position.

Therefore, profit making in bitcoin investment isn't just about how much you invest in but how long you hodl would determine the maturity of your investment which will in turn determine your profiting amount.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: March 01, 2024, 09:10:18 PM
Going to school and being a graduate doesn't guarantees you success it only equips you with the knowledge and skills to be able to strive to achieve success but yet doesn't guarantee you might end up achieving the success you strive for eventually. We all have seen many graduates that steived hard but still ended up average or poor. The only thing that school guarantees us is knowledge, knowledge to know your right and where it starts and end, which is why a highly literate society is usually a peaceful society to live in unlike a highly illiterate populated societies.
also certain degree does indeed contribute to its students to be adept at certain and specific knowledge, for example is being a doctor, definitely you need to be within the standard of being a doctor and this kind of knowledge only found in university that have that faculty.
the point of university in the first place should be just for learning skills and being certified for learning one, thats it, people thinking college can somehow magically make them rich are just dreaming.
because we all know that whether to be success or not entirely depends on ourselves, the world doesn't owe us anything.
but in the other hand we need to carve our ways and path to be successful and its not going to be easy, so many competitions out there, are we sure that we can stand out or instead just gonna falls behind we don't know for sure.
With the high rate of competitiveness now in this generation with everyone wanting to go to school to be called a literate or a graduate it's just so scary that sometimes one will wonder if they can survive the competition in the labour market in search of the few available jobs. And secondly, the field a person chooses to pursue as a career also plays an important role in shaping the person's life and chances of getting a good paying job that can put you in the rich people bracket.

Imagine someone studying a course that is no more invoke at this time you gonna find it hard to get hired in a company not to talk of a good paying company. So it's important when going to the university we do research about the course to study if it's still much relevant at this age.

293  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: February 29, 2024, 06:25:38 PM
I went London 2 days Ago i was in central London and Kensington area.
I went out Also shopping and harrods.
I have questions....like how it's possible wealth are everywhere you can literally smell the smell of money and Wealth i been traveling many places....and i haven't seen this kind of happy life people was in coffe shops Everthing happy and wealthy.
To be honest i fallling love with central London the vibe there was so good and people so happy and wealthy.
Its no magic you see the people seem happy there, that's because they have a system in place that works, the laws works, same can happen in those other societies you said you have been but not seen such kind of happy people if their system is a system that is capable of holding administrators, those elected in the position of political authorities accountable for misappropriation and inefficiency in discharge of responsibilities then there's no way the people won't be happy in like manner as North London you visited.

When a system is obviously corrupt it's affects the living conditions of the society leading to unhappy and strain conditions. Wherever you see citizens are happy, always take a look into their political economy
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: February 29, 2024, 12:09:00 AM
Seeing bitcoin such price today is just wonderful and epic, still pains haven't accumulated more quantities, but still doesn't only matter your entry is just how Persistence you are In your holding and accumulating .

Maybe they will but I'm not sure if some of these investors still manage to hold until now or if they sell it before it hits $50k.
Those who have strong mindsets will still hold and accumulate more but those who are easily affected by the FUDs and rumors, exactly they got in panic and sell their BTC at low prices. We never expect everyone to hold and wait for the new ATH because many investors are weak.
And as we speaking, there's high chances that  most of those weak minded investor has already started selling their investment after seeing bitcoin price, from the price range of $50k-$60k . After checking their portfolio and found out that there's a great different from when they started accumulating (their coins value has  increased (bitcoin)). Initiating a tempting urge to sell there investment and alot did. Without knowing that this is just the beginning, those of us that still holding and accumulating we should continue till we hit our accumulation goal.

Bitcoin to the 🚀.

I for ones love how you ended your statement holding and accumulating we should continue till we hit our accumulation goal, which entails that those persons that peradventure are with the urge of selling their bitcoin as a result of this price rise had no goal plan from the beginning, they were perhaps accumulating for accumulation sake, it is like joining the train because others are doing it. Let it be known to whoever out there is in a haste to sell, that there's no other time to keep hodling more still accumulating than now that the bullish market has taken the run.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 27, 2024, 10:07:32 PM
what we win is the money we lose, I don't think so, I think when I win gambling it is someone else's money who loses and vice versa, and this cycle will continue to turn, and that is the reason why casinos very rarely go bankrupt because they pay out their winnings. which is greater than their income
Its a simple logic and you've just unraveled it mate, what money we win is someone else's money that was lost in a bet somewhere else, just as my loss would be for a payment to someone somewhere with a win. If we say it's money we had lost in the past that we got repaid by winning what about gamblers that have rarely made losses as a result of them not regularly gambling but in all the times they have gambled they have had more wins than losses. I therefore agree that it's just a payment circle that goes on and on.

What every gambler should strive for is to making sure they don't be in the category of the highest losers and that can be done by gambling responsibly, not using money you can't afford to lose.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Preventive measures not to lose your btc on: February 27, 2024, 07:10:49 PM
1. Do not engage in deep conversation with stranger who is only interested asking you about your total bitcoin holding or even regularly asking you about the platform you invested.

Dont even engage having a short one with them, the more you give a listening hear the more they begin to detect your area of weakness to know where they can strike.
Since we can't be certain that all strangers are scammers although that's the first category you will have to place a stranger online until proven otherwise,  but for the part of not giving a hearing at all is kind of mean in my own disposition I will position myself in the asking of questions and must be critical questions instead of leaving the stranger to be doing the asking. And only when you are not comfortable with the replies you're receiving which by common sense you're supposed to know when to exit from a shitty talk.

2. Do not be fooled with their sweet words where they keeps asking you to invest and make money your interest within 24hrs to gain about 100 percent of your investment. Note; this is purely scam otherwise no other investment platform or anyone to be trading and giving you back 100 percent of your capitals.

If you're not greedy, you wont be enticed by anything you see from online, most of these flashy things are harm in disguise, its important to first deal with your ability of not been contempted.
when you listen to the stories of those persons that have fallen to online scam, many persons the stories aligns with greed. They became shortsighted from seeing where all was heading to because all their focus was on how they can make the profit from what was offered to them. If was can deal with our greed we have for sure solve 75% of our problems online that could lead to us losing money.

298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: February 27, 2024, 05:37:46 PM
We want to invest in bitcoin we should only focus on the bullish market so therefore I believe that those people who invest during the time the price of bitcoin is low that the people that make profit when the price go up so I will advise every beginner to invest during the time the price of bitcoin is low so that they will not experience any loss, to accumulate bitcoin, you have to wait experience having before you purchase bitcoin, so that you will not be victim when the price go down.

some people who invest in bitcoin always be rewarded of it when they experience bullrun, so I believe that it’s a good investors that know the actual time they can invest and make huge profits, in normal circumstances the best time to invest is during bearish seasons.
We are just entering a bullish market which makes still a great timing for anyone who wishes to invest at this point, in as much as the previous ATH has not been met I don't see any reason why new investors can't make profit investing right  now. Like I said in one of my comment create a good DCA plan for your investment as the bullish market is not a period for losses but a time for profit making to both old and newly investors. Bitcoin investment is all about holding for long as that's where the secret to profit making lies.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The power of consistency, patience and perseverance . on: February 26, 2024, 11:32:41 PM
Recently i have observed that some new from users are unable to develop consistency in their contributions maybe because they feel that their opinions are not relevant ,lacks quality and many more .

The forum is actually a very tough place ,but the only way to survive it's toughness is when you are consistent  in your contributions ,patient and also try as much as possible to  eliminate phobia .
The forum is not a tough place, let not make it sound as though we're in a military ground in the forum. It's actually a liberal space where we all express ourselves and concerns with cryptocurrency knowledge at the center of all discussions. If a newbie feels he/she is unable to contribute to discussions resourceful then what he/she is expected of is to swing into personal research and learning as there's no other magic to be relevant here in the forum than the amount of knowledge you possess.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: February 26, 2024, 10:40:34 PM
yeah that's true. Base on my research about the previous halvings though haven't experienced anyone yet. But have done some research I found out that most time during Bitcoin halving bitcoin do undergo a certain dip(fir short-term), and after the halving alway experience a great surge in price. And most people may actually be thinking of purchasing bitcoin at that moment it experience the dip during the halving. And most of them may eventually endup missing out. And some may endup not accumulating more quantities of Bitcoin for the upcoming bullish run.

They don't actually know that those that have already embark the use of DCA strategies, and at the same the buying the dip would have more chances of a accumulating more bitcoin in their portfolio, Mostly with efficient and frequent DCAing.
But it seems different this time. Before we even touch halving, we've been seeing the pump that much and that's actually a good sign that this bull run might be better than the last one.

Last year when Bitcoin was under $30k, that was the great time for everyone to accumulate but it's still possible since we haven't peaked yet.
Buying under $30k was actually a great time but doesn't make those that bought from 30k above any different, it's not about when you bought but how persistent you are with your hodling till date. Anyone can buy above 30k or even at this current price which I still consider to be a dip, and set for yourself a healthy DCA plan and still make significant profit at the next ATH. If we get an ATH before the half this time around then let be expecting something spectacular in this bull run we're about to experience.
