281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 22, 2024, 11:15:20 PM
Regarding Real Madrid and Barcelona, Real Madrid was the team that always had better players and a better financial situation compared to Barcelona. Now it seems Barcelona has some problems with keeping the players they already have like Joao Felix but Real Madrid is thinking about hiring even more players.
Alphonso Davies is the next target for Real Madrid, he is currently the player of Bayern Munich but he received an offer from Bayern Munich so far and he wanted to think about the other offers he can get. The contract of Alphonso Davies ends in 2025 and Real Madrid sent an offer of 50 million euros for him while Bayern Munich wants 60-70 million euros for this Canadian player.

I may not be entirely correct, but I believe Real Madrid has built a stronger club compared to Barcelona. By stronger, I mean Real Madrid has been more successful in branding and marketing to generate revenue for the club. This is an aspect where I think Barcelona has fallen short in comparison to Real Madrid.

As a club, it's crucial to explore alternative revenue streams to bolster finances, which can then be utilized for player acquisitions. Barcelona certainly has financial resources, but Real Madrid appears to excel in branding and marketing strategies which allows them to purchase players more effectively both for the present and the future.

Since the departure of Lionel Messi from Barcelona, there has been a noticeable gap in the club, although they haven't performed poorly. Real Madrid has also capitalized on their star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, to generate substantial revenue. These strategies provide clubs with the means to acquire not only star players but also promising talents who can contribute both immediately and in the long term. As for effective scouting processes, it is essential for both clubs to identify suitable players which means a meticulous approach to scout for aplayer , and I feel like Real Madrid is likely to maintain an edge over Barcelona, not only in the current season but also in the seasons to come.
282  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Economical instability : Roles Of Citizens on: March 22, 2024, 11:03:13 PM
Nigeria is facing Economic instability and inflation. The government has failed in many ways in terms of policy making to bring the Nation out from these hardships, corruption has eaten deep in all sectors of the Government. Citizens are complaining all over the Nation because of hardship being felt. However my point of this topic, is that despite the government having the major role to play Citizens of this nation also have their part to contribute by

1.Buy local and Encourage others to buy and support local products.
2.citizens should not use the high price of foreign products to affect locally manufactured products
3.products manufactured locally should be sold at affordable prices e.g palm oil, Garri, local rice, fish, onions, tomatoes, corn cassava wheat etc.
4. Support others in learning what will be beneficial to and their family

What are your input on roles of citizens in this Economical situation

Okay, let me use the scenario of a driver and passengers to explain the true situation we're facing in the country, so we can understand who needs to solve our problems as Nigerians. This will also show that the bulk of the responsibility lies with our leaders and not just the citizens. Imagine a scenario where you have a driver and passengers. The driver controls the steering, direction, and speed of the vehicle, while the passengers rely on the driver to transport them to their destinations.

Now, if the driver lacks adequate knowledge or chooses not to use the right knowledge to navigate the vehicle in the correct direction, how can the passengers reach their destination? This is the role of leadership in every society. Our leaders are like our drivers, they have the power, knowledge, and tools to drive our economy. If our leaders fail to take the necessary steps to address issues and stabilize the country, we cannot expect stability from the citizens alone. Most of the time, citizens are like passengers and they rely on the decisions and actions of their leaders.

Our leaders must take the right steps and decisions to solve our problems. For example, some public analysts have suggested price controls on commodities sold in the country. However, how can there be price control when the government fails to alleviate the effects of hardships and price hikes on imports and transportation? These issues are interconnected. When transportation costs increase, marketers or product owners have no choice but to raise their prices to make a profit, however small.

It's only the government that can address inflation and price hikes especially in fuels used for transportation and agricultural inputs needed by farmers for increased production. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a country where leaders operate on a trial-and-error model, which hasn't yielded the desired results for our nation.
283  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Nigerian System of Education on: March 22, 2024, 10:50:30 PM
Our system of Education is something else, starting from the primary system to the tertiary system. That of the the tertiary system their varieties of challenges it undergoes, for instance

* Over Population
* Outdated Curricula
* Lack of qualified faculty and equipment for studies
* Lectures Accepting Bribe (Sorting)

Wow, this is an interesting topic to talk about, especially for those of us who attended the Nigerian education system. All three points you mentioned — overpopulation, outdated curricula, and the lack of infrastructure — are valid. It's like a nostalgic moment for me to remember how one lived through the school system as a typical Nigerian.

Firstly, let's talk about overpopulation. Every student who attended a conventional university in Nigeria can easily relate to the issue of overpopulation in schools. Classrooms that should accommodate 30 students end up being filled with 200 students, and halls meant for 200 or 300 students end up accommodating over a thousand. Some students have no seats and end up standing by windows and doors just to attend lectures. The lack of electricity further complicates the situation, creating a stuffy and uncomfortable learning environment. This not only affects students' health but also their ability to focus and learn effectively.

For science students like myself, lectures are sometimes held in laboratories instead of using them for practicals. Labs have been converted into lecture rooms, forcing students to inhale chemicals stored there. Combined classes in labs exacerbate the situation leading to overcrowded and polluted environments. It's disheartening to witness such conditions.

Outdated curriculum is another issue that students can easily relate to. In science classes, I often found myself searching online to update my knowledge because the information in lecture books was outdated. Recent discoveries from the early 2000s were missing from the curriculum leaving us the students with obsolete information.

Also, the lack of new constructions or classroom expansions means there's no reequipping of facilities either. Science students are forced to use outdated equipment like conical flasks, microscopes, and skeletal systems that have been in use for over a decade. The absence of these modern equipment  have affected us in solving real world problems because we lack access to updated tools like electrical microscopes which makes us struggle to keep up with developments in our fields. These kinds of challenges have hindered the quality of education in our universities and calls for the need to be addressed urgently.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 21, 2024, 09:52:05 PM
With these points you mentioned, I think Inter Milan have secured the first position, and they may win the title if they continue to dominate and continue winning matches. However, I don't think they have any team that will be a challenge for Inter Milan because they have been unbeaten throughout the season; they have been constantly winning matches, which means they will do everything they can to get the title this season, so let's see how they will end their season because AC Milan and Juventus are also looking for ways to top the table.

Like you mentioned earlier, stating that Inter Milan has been unbeaten throughout the season is true because Inter Milan has only lost one out of all the matches they've played so far and drew in four of those matches. With that kind of performance, you wouldn't expect them to lose more games. Also, consider the gap between Inter Milan and AC Milan, who are the runners-up in the table standings now. Then, they all have roughly less than 10 matches to go to end this season. So, what magic are AC Milan and Juventus going to pull off at this point to win and take the Serie A championship? The same energy that Inter Milan has been using to reach this point, I believe will be what they will continue to use. So, all I'm thinking is that AC Milan would love to maintain the second position they are currently holding, while Juventus also wants to maintain the third position or even move ahead of AC Milan. I see the context more as a battle for the runner-up position between AC Milan and Juventus rather than competing for the first position.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 21, 2024, 09:43:16 PM
I'm sure they have and they will.
Currently Barcelona's position is runner up, 2 points higher than its competitor, Girona. For the next 2 meetings, I am sure that Barcelona will still be in the runner up position. But next, they will face their main competitor, namely Real Madrid. This definitely won't be easy and the chance of winning is not that big. So, Barcelona must optimize all opportunities to compete with other clubs to get full points.

Barcelona is just two points ahead of Girona, meaning they have 64 points while Girona has 62. But I've been trying to measure up the challenges that both teams have in their next fixtures before the end of the league. For Barcelona, I think it won't be that difficult for them to win over Las Palmas and Cadiz in their next matches. But against Real Madrid, it will be their toughest match and their chances of winning that match are very low.

As for Girona, their chances are slimmer of overtaking Barcelona at this point because their next match with Beltis is uncertain. Looking at their previous fixtures, one could deduce that the chances of Girona winning their next match are almost 50-50, if not 40-60. So that's the analysis. Afterward, they will also have matches against Atletico, Cadiz Las Palmas and Barcelona. And with the way they are playing, unlike in their early days, I don't think they will be able to overtake Barcelona at this point. But it is also important for them to maintain their position so that they can become stronger and have the opportunity to play in the next Champions League tournament.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL bitcoins, you can do it! Look at HODL camp map to build up strong hands on: March 21, 2024, 09:02:30 PM
Another fascinating way for someone's Bitcoin investment intentions to change is if they grow more interested in using Bitcoin to support causes that are important to them. For example, many charities and non-profit organizations accept Bitcoin donations. So, a person who started investing in Bitcoin just for profit may discover that they wish to utilize their Bitcoin to support a cause that is important to them. Alternatively, users might use their Bitcoin to invest in initiatives that are built on the Bitcoin blockchain, such as decentralized finance (DeFi) or non-fungible tokens (NFTs), so many others.

It is always exciting and awe-inspiring to join conversations on this wonderful thread, and listening to or reading from what you've just mentioned above is one aspect that I would like to encourage many of us on this platform to pay attention to. There are a lot of things that we may wish to delve into, and sometimes it just occupies our minds. In anything we do in our lives, we are expected to always have humanity at heart, because at the end of the day, we all have roots and may experience different life circumstances.

Like they say in the popular saying, "what goes around, comes around," even though none of us is responsible for whatever predicament or issues any other person is facing, it is always good to help the needy through investing in charity donations for non-profit organizations that are helping the cause of humanity. I don't know if this aspect is mostly discussed here, but if it is done, I feel like it needs to be done even more.

That's why I appreciate my colleague here who is mentioning this particular aspect on this great thread that we are on. Since we're already talking about investment, how do we really invest in humanity? How do we invest in the lives of those who might want to be bitcoin users in the future but face constraints because of some natural disabilities or lack of access to basic amenities? So, it is good for us to champion causes like this.

Lastly, it won't also be a bad idea if, as we are channeling our investments to non-profit organizations for charity works, we can also at the same time suggest to those organizations the introduction of bitcoin to those people. We can get these people to learn how they can use bitcoin technology, and that will be another aspect that would be unpopular but will greatly assist in their financial lives. Many of them cannot access the banks, they also do not trust the banking system and are looking for alternatives. But since they don't have the necessary capabilities that we have, they have been faced with constraints.

So, coming up with initiatives like teaching the less privileged and people with disabilities bitcoin technologies and how they operate, and how they can maximize the opportunity in the bitcoin investments, risk management, and whatnot would go a long way, I believe.
287  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Fuel stations altering pump to face sanction — FG on: March 21, 2024, 06:41:12 PM
The government of Nigeria thru the midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority don tok say them go penalize pipol wey get fuel station wey them adjust the fuel pumps.

Source:https://punchng.com/fuel-stations-altering-pump-to-face-sanction-fg/
As e be, no be news say all the fuel stations pump for the country including NNPCL own say the owners them adjust all finish, 1litre of fuel no be 1lotre again. Even as government con increase fuel pump price wey the sell now from around #650-#700 per litre  depending the station you attend still them no tink am to readjust back to normal 1litre.

The area I wan now make we rub mind na the area if the government and wetin them tok. Cos we know say this our government many times them the talk but no the do anytin and especially wen na action wey go affect big big men them. Cos plenty of dese fuel stations na governor's, senators, economic tycoons and oda politicians na them get am.

So me I dey doubt say this matter go get head, e go just be like case of a barking dog wey no get teeth to bite.  Or abi na me just dey underrate the government on wetin dem go fit do?

How una tink am too nah!

You don already talk am finish boss, I no need to add anything, this country wey we Dey now E don reach the level wey be say everybody go don understand who our government be na, our government no Dey talk and do am again, since I grow up I never see where government don promise the country something and them do am and that thing don Dey government blood to the extent wey be even if good person enter government sit he will start to Dey do promise and fail. And about this fuel Matta wey you just talk , no even think am twice because the matter fit pain if them no later do am and you Dey remember.

The way you talk am , na so e be, all this fuel station wey government wan take action on na them wey get power for the country get the fuel station, government matta no suppose Dey be waiting we go Dey carry for head because the way we Dey carry am na e the thing go Dey pain us and it will be affecting us every single day, if them like make them take action and if them like make them no take any action by god grace we go survive for this country.

You see, this discussion wey we dey get for here na one thing wey don dey worry my mind for so long. We don dey hear about all these things since we be small pikin until now wey we don dey grow up. And we don come sabi say government don dey used to they make promises and dem go dey fail for their promises. If we go mention the promises wey government don make wey dem no fulfill, e go be like say we dey pour water inside basket. E mean say we no go ever finish to talk about dem until today.

I fit give example with the last government of Muhammadu Buhari administration wey promise say fuel pump price go reduce to below 100 Naira. We no see am. In fact, dem even increase am to over 200 Naira during him regime. Dem still promise other things like say we go get constant electricity. We never see am for once. Dem still promise during their regime say Port Harcourt refinery go start production for December 2016. Na 2024 we dey now, and that promise never happen for the past president administration.

Now, we dey under new government again. Dem don promise say fuel prices go be very small, wey every average Nigerian fit go to fuel station buy fuel without stress. Dat one no happen. In fact, e dey stress-free but fuel price don skyrocket to over 695 Naira for some places, even reach 700 or 800 Naira depending on the location wey you dey. All these na promises wey dem make and dem never fulfill.

The fear wey dey for my mind anytime we dey talk about these pressing issues na say, if government continue like this, e go just dey give people impression say government no fit dey trusted. And many people don already lose hope for anything wey concern government. So now, dem just dey live for themselves, no dey bother about other people promises, and just dey do their own thing. The reason why you go see good people wen enter government turn to bad people na because of corruption and people wen dey use government power to oppress the masses.

The problem wey Nigeria dey face today na systemic issue. E dey for the system of government, no be the people per say, but of course, na the people form the system. And na why the system don already dey designed like dat, say na either you join dem or you leave, because you no get power to make choice for yourself. Else, them go just remove you from that position.

So now, na this time wey we need leaders wey dey at the top to begin make holistic change for our attitudes, make dem make strict laws and principles wey everybody go gree follow. Whether you be government official or you dey hold high position for government, you suppose obey the rule of law. If you commit any crime or anything, government go use their power against you. But if everybody wey dey up there dey feel say dem dey above the law, e go always be issue with people or top government officials wey go dey undermine the rule of law.

The change suppose really start with our leaders, and not with us per say, even though we also get our own bad contribution wey we dey do to the current failing institution of government. Our leaders suppose lead by example.
288  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Local beliefs about remote jobs in Nigeria are seen to be associated with scam on: March 21, 2024, 06:21:02 PM
Yeah I think it's  a good idea to enlighten others on how this jobs really works and I don't  blame them to calling  you a scammer because  in this Nigeria, once you start using a laptop in the late midnights, my dear you're becoming a scammer Grin, it's  just the mentality  of thousands  since we know majority  of the fraudsters do their works in the late midnight,  It will be very hard to justify yourself. I was also  frustrated sometimes but you should  show it from your behaviour, dressing and character that you're  different  Smiley, I think that's the only way to convince  them

I gree with you and na the trajectory be that. When you look back at those days when scamming start for Nigeria, you and I go gree say plenty people wey dey do late-night with their laptops dey actually scam people. But as time dey go, people don come sabi say dey get other options to make money and e no be say them go dey scam. So many people don do other works like the OP mention above, like affiliate marketing and even other jobs wey you fit do for companies wey dey outside the country. And you go dey earn your legitimate money from them.

And because of the time zone differences for our work hours with them, you no go get choice pass to stay up late for night. When you do am, e go they easier for you to meet up with your work schedules. And na why plenty people dey do late-night jobs now. Apart from that, for person like me wey dey used to writing, the fact be say I dey write for my laptops and mobile phones, and the time wey I dey enjoy to write na for late at night because na that time I get sanity and disturbance no they too dey for those periods of time. So e no even necessarily mean say I get job to deliver for late-night, but I don sabi say plenty creative jobs dey happen for those hours of time.

So if I wan enjoy writing, I dey usually wait until late at night before I do am. And e no necessarily mean say I be scammer. So we just need to change our psyche at the end of the day. And we need to make plenty young people, especially those wey dey grow, understand the basics of why people dey work even late at night, and make e no be say dem go dey attach am to scamming. So that we fit all change our perception for viewing things, and we fit be better nation as a whole.

Very important point to mention be say the way we dey think get key role to play for our lives. So the moment people start to think negatively, e go affect dem negatively. But the moment we start to think positively, e go better for us as society, and people go get knowledge of how things dey operate for the outside world, and no be only for Nigeria.
289  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is this a result of a poor investment plan or what? on: March 20, 2024, 10:54:09 PM
We should not be too quick to judge, who knows if they invested some of their money but unfortunately things took a turn. Back then, their where no proper knowledge on investment like Bitcoin but I'm sure they do not just leave from hand to mouth, they must have invested into something or due to not being able to pay medical bills have to sell off many of their investment, we just need pray not to fall into same condition to know the reasons why they came out to ask for help.

I think the industry are now getting paid even more unlike before where things and currency value were minor.

In a nutshell,I believe the Nollywood industry is facing two major problems. Firstly, there's a lack of sufficient funding from the government and other related investment platforms that would enable the industry to become more marketable, with actors, actresses, managers, and producers able to produce high-grossing movies. This gap in investment opportunities exists both from the government and the private sector.

The government must also take the lead in ensuring that the industry produces quality content aligned with global standards. But if you check historically, there has been a gap in investment opportunities, although recently, we've seen Nollywood movies featured on platforms like Prime, Netflix, and Showmax. This gap still exists, and the government needs to address it, which I believe the current administration, with Hannatu Musawa as the minister, is working towards. Her exposure suggests that she will put more effort into ensuring the industry is well-funded and addressing these gaps through her initiatives.

Another thing is, the government should involve the private sector and seek international funding to produce films that reflect the country's history and cultural identity. This would open more doors for actors in the international market.

Secondly, due to the limited funds available, our actors and actresses rely on brand ambassadorships and online platforms like YouTube to earn money. Many of our celebrity actors are diversifying into skit making to supplement their income. But, their financial constraints have lead to challenges in maintaining a celebrity lifestyle, which is necessary for their branding and industry standards. Despite this, they strive to uphold this standard, even though they may not have the financial capacity to do so.And this is why you seen several cases where our celebrity actors battle with their medical expenses and wont still have necessary support from their colleagues.

The lack of funding and financial instability are significant roadblocks for our actors and actresses in the Nollywood industry which has greatly contributed to their inability to thrive and invest in their careers.
290  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic growth and it effect on the standard of living on: March 20, 2024, 10:16:24 PM
I believe the most common effect of economic growth to standard of living is the people have a good source of income that makes them spend frequently. A noticeable sign that an economy is growing was there’s a lot of job opportunities available due to increased of country investment, production and other source of income for the country.

People will have more money to spend while they are being paid properly for their work done or simply the salary rate is much higher compared to other country(except China because they are heavily populated).

In the end, governments are the deciding factors for any falling or thriving economy of any country across the world. The way governments can solve the problems of poverty and poor standards of living boils down to two or three major aspects.

Firstly, the government can decide to expand the scope of its labor market to accommodate more people. In every country across the globe, there are only a limited number of government jobs available in the formal sector, leaving millions of undergraduates skilled and hoping to secure those few opportunities. Therefore, the government can expand the scope of government jobs, ensuring it is commensurate with the revenue generated. This can be achieved by identifying government institutions that can be expanded, creating branches across states, regions, or even local governments to engage more people and increase revenue generation.

Secondly, the government needs to strongly empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by making ease of doing business their top priority. By achieving this, small businesses will thrive and significantly contribute to the country's economy. Governments can also facilitate ease of doing business for small enterprises by improving power generation, providing funding through intervention funds, and investing in manufacturing and production. By focusing more on production than consumption and tapping into natural resources, governments can bolster the economy and improve living standards for the larger society.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 20, 2024, 09:57:14 PM
Juventus is very lucky to have been in the position they are right now otherwise they wouldn't have made it to the top 4 again with the bad performance they have recorded lately, the matches are remaining few they can end up dropping more points for Bologna to be ahead of them but they will definitely be in the top4 like wise bologna but since the matches are still remaining for them to play, Roma till have good chances of being among the top4 but their chances depend on the results of Juventus and bologna.

I am particularly unhappy with the way Juventus and Napoli are playing in Serie A. These are two clubs that I had high hopes for. Regarding Napoli, I am even more disappointed because they haven't even managed to secure the fourth, fifth, or even sixth position,  they are below my expectations.

As for Juventus, they currently hold the third position. While one wouldn't criticize them too harshly since they have tried to compensate for some of their shortcomings with some wins, scoring six goals in a match still demonstrates some level of control in their victories.

So, for that reason alone, I would credit them for their performance. However, Napoli has failed miserably. With their current position, they won't even qualify for the Champions League next season, which is quite poor in terms of competition.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 20, 2024, 08:49:52 PM
Man City has a better chance of winning because the match will be held at the Etihad Stadium so the players' motivation to win will be much higher. If we think Man City is not extraordinary then I can confirm how Pep Guardiola's men are so strong when playing at home and they have shown big changes when playing at home. However, when it comes to trophies the three clubs still have the same chance, but the match between Man City vs Arsenal will be the start to ensure champions this season for anyone who is able to win.

Well, I don't think that matters much. Whether they are playing at the Etihad Stadium doesn't really matter, especially considering the last match Arsenal had with Manchester City at City's home, which resulted in a two against five defeat that Arsenal inflicted upon Manchester City. So even though they were playing at City's home, Arsenal was able to beat them in their last fixture togetherr, as a competition.

Thus, this match shouldn't be any different, especially when Arsenal, at this point, is eager to utilize all the powers, knowledge, and strategies they have to maintain their number one position in the league standings. So their major target at this point would be whatever it takes to be strong and ensure they score a goal. Additionally, Arsenal would do better if they strive to score a goal in the first half. Let Arsenal make the first goal, regardless of how it happens, so that Arsenal will have more strength and energy to strike even more. I've realized that whenever Arsenal scores two goals consecutively, they gain the energy to keep scoring more goals, unlike if they are allowed to be defeated in the first place. Therefore, that should be Arsenal's target at this moment.

Quote
Arsenal is looking this season to win the English league title and if this opportunity is not utilized properly then next season everything will change where another club could become a title challenger. I'm not so sure about Arsenal but I have no doubts about their ability to compete this season and Arteta's job must be to ensure that this season.

I see this as one of the reasons why Arsenal must not joke with any fixtures they have in the remaining couple of games as a club. They currently have all the opportunities at their disposal to secure the league title, especially since they are at the top of the table. Therefore, they need to focus on defending their position by striving to score more goals and avoiding defeats. The responsibility lies on the manager, the players, and the fans at large to maintain high morale for Arsenal by showing up and supporting them in the remaining games.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 19, 2024, 11:09:25 PM
How am I seeing PSG vs Barcelona? The match will be very tough, and I can't predict who will get the opportunity to win the match until they play the first leg, but I still give Barcelona hope because they have more experience than them and have won the Champions League before; only PSG has not won it before, and I am confident that if Mbappe leaves the club, they will be able to get better strikers who can play well on the pitch and help them win many trophys.

I share the same sentiment as you regarding the upcoming match between Barcelona and PSG. Just as you believe Barcelona has a higher chance of winning, a PSG fan would also have high expectations from PSG to triumph over Barcelona. It's undoubtedly going to be a tough competition where one team must emerge victorious. When I judge by the current performance of both clubs in their respective leagues, PSG may seem to have the upper hand. However, considering their history together, Barcelona might hold a very tiny advantage. Ultimately, the outcome will be determined by who performs better on that day. Regardless of our current predictions, the result remains uncertain. As you mentioned earlier, the first leg will provide more insights into which team is likely to prevail, and that's what we'll be eagerly awaiting.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 19, 2024, 11:00:45 PM
AC Milan may have experienced a slight decline at that time. But now, they have done enough to improve their performance and achievements. This is certainly not easy. However, they are runners up in Serie A and are still in the UEFA Europe League. That's good enough, just the next part remains. And unfortunately, their chance of lifting the trophy this season is quite small. Even in Serie A, it seems impossible.

With all the available information, Inter Milan seems to be the champions already, as they are well ahead at the top of the table. AC Milan, who are second, are over 10 points behind, and Juventus, in third place, are three points below AC Milan. For many reasons, AC Milan would like to maintain their second position and avoid losing any subsequent matches. Although there is a slim possibility that AC Milan could overtake Inter Milan if they miss all their next matches and AC Milan wins, it's unlikely at this point in the season.

Secondly, AC Milan has a higher chance of winning their next match against their opponent. I've taken the time to review their previous matches together, and it's clear that AC Milan has more strength and is stronger than their opponent. So, AC Milan just needs to replicate what they've done in their successful matches and continue to secure more points before the end of the season.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 19, 2024, 10:47:00 PM
It is feared that Girona increasingly unstable performance towards the end of the season could have a negative impact on their position in the standings, because mathematically Atletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid could potentially overtake their position in the remaining matches. Girona must be able to maintain the points gap that has been formed, so that they can finish comfortably in the top four of the standings. A ticket to the Champions League could turn into a Europa League ticket if Girona has not gotten out of a bad period, consistency is the main requirement if they want to finish in the Champions League zone and write new history for the club.

It seems that Girona needs to learn a lot to manage pressure towards the end of the season, because all La Liga contestants will have the ambition to get full points in every match. If Girona has difficulty finding their best form again, it is possible that they will lose points again. There are a number of tough matches waiting ahead, Michel is required to be able to turn things around and bring Girona back into a positive trend. Their position has now been taken over by Barcelona, Girona must fight again to get it.

And right now, I'm even worried for Girona ahead of their next match with BELTIS. Considering their previous fixtures with BELTIS, winning against them during this uncertain period is going to be a tough task. That's why I agree with the advice for them to step up their game now. Girona cannot afford to miss out on the next Champions League tournament, and the fans wouldn't take it lightly either. They need to work hard and show the dexterity and consistency they've been capable of since the beginning.

Currently, Girona sits at the third position in the LaLiga table standings, but they could move up to second if they win their next match. So they really need to give it their all, even if it means having more training sessions. They should deploy every necessary tactic and expertise to win their next match and secure that second position. Given all that Girona has achieved this season, they deserve the best, if not the LaLiga championship, at least qualification for the next Champions League. This would be a way for them to improve further. Ultimately, they have exceeded our expectations, and they can achieve even more with consistent effort.

For peace to reign both parties need to put up an argument or what they want and not just that they should also be ready to accept each others opinions and be willing to be live by some point made by the other country even if it is against what they believe in.

Peace is not the absence of grievance or faults but the ability to see through them and accept one another.

I think peace is still very possible but the support game should be dropped and rather in the interest of the world we all try to put peace between both countries.

I almost agree with your opinion, although it's challenging to achieve, given the intricacies involved. Based on my study of the scenario, I believe Vladimir Putin would never agree to NATO's establishment in Ukraine. He perceives NATO as spies infiltrating the country, which is why he's seemingly against it.

In my view, Ukraine should refrain from arming itself and realize that international support, even from NATO members, may wane, leaving each country to fend for itself. The countries involved in the conflict have their own national interests at heart, rather than a genuine concern for Ukraine's peace.

Therefore, Ukraine must make diplomatic decisions and avoid escalating tensions, as resorting to arms will only worsen the situation. Ukraine being able to win over Russia would be akin to the David and Goliath story.

I actually understand what you are trying to say, but you weren't able to explain it in a better understanding to even a dumb person, what I just want to add to what you have already said is that, in this life that we found ourselves, our decision making define us and the quality of life we live, because it affect every aspect of our lives, from the school we choose to go, the business we choose to do, the coin you choose to invest in, if you are a crypto enthusiastic,  but in all we do, it's all boils down to our level of knowledge, that's why it's very important in life that, in what ever you plan on doing, it's best you acquire knowledge first, so that your decision making will be top notch, and it will surely gives you a better life.

The moment you mentioned knowledge, it struck a chord with me. It surpasses everything when it comes to learning or making life decisions. For me, decision-making is critical at every juncture of our lives because events do unfold that requires us to choose between right and wrong, thereby influencing outcomes positively or negatively. Our decision-making is heavily influenced by our environment.

People who live in negative environments tend to make poor decisions, while those in conducive environments with enriched mindsets make better ones. This goes to underscore the importance of knowledge, which transcends external factors. Internally, we need to enrich ourselves with knowledge to be able to stay updated and in tune with the current practices.

When you are faced with something unfamiliar, seeking knowledge through questions or research is key. Never make decisions blindly; as the adage goes, "nobody is an island of knowledge." Being able to ask pertinent questions, understanding situations, and seeking guidance from those with experience are vital for mastery in any endeavor or skill acquisition.

Saving for the future is actually not a bad thing, but their is one enemy to any money being saved up, which is inflation, though during the days of our fathers, inflations was not at it peak then, inflation can hardly eat 5% of their money saved, but in today's society, a money saved from the beginning of the year to December might lose up to 15% to inflation if not more.

So it's best that in our today's society, it's best we save in anything that appreciate in value overtime, something like Bitcoin, gold, diamond and land, in that way, you don't just preserve your money, you also secure your future by acquiring assets.

This is why I still find investments in Cryptocurrencies and Stablecoins as some of the best alternatives to the traditional savings at this seemingly unstable economic crisis around the world especially for someone coming from a country with poor financial and economic growth over this few years.

Africa is still battling with trying to have a control over there domestic and foreign markets especially it's currencies value so whenever there's tilt in the global market trend, it easily affects African countries more than any other because majority of its markets are premature and are consumption markets instead of production markets. Hence, the reason for the unstable market and inflation
299  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The root of insecurity in Nigeria on: March 17, 2024, 10:22:26 PM
Sometimes I wonder why Nigeria is facing high rates of insecurity and crime. The root of the high level of insecurity in a blessed country like Nigeria can be argued that indices such as corruption, hatred, lack of faith among the citizen, incompetent leadership, bribering, illiteracy, tribalism, religion interest, regional interest, porose nature of our boarder, divers local languages, government poor policies, high rates of unemployment and poverty are factors that promote incidences of insecurity and crime in Nigeria.

Insecurity, corruption, and all the things wey you mention no be only Nigeria own. E no be Nigerian matter alone. For fact, many countries, including African ones and Asia, dey suffer pass Nigeria. When you talk about insecurity, no place dey wey dey face insecurity wey dey destroy people life like Palestine, Gaza, and other places. Nobody dey take any drastic action or measures to solve those problems.

War no dey too far from some places like Ukraine, and so far, no solution don come. For Africa, countries like Sudan, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger dey face crisis too and you fit only talk say Nigeria dey do better pass dem as far as insecurity dey concern us. Not many people fit talk am but even United States dey face serious domestic insecurity.

Because of this, gun violence dey happen and e don dey almost too much as hundreds of thousands don die within one year and e no look like say their government fit bring long-term solution to those crises. You fit dey for safe place but still dey fear say pesin go come out with gun and start to shoot anyhow because e dey depressed.

So e no be something wey dey peculiar to Nigeria alone. We fit solve our problem for our own country. Government sabi wetin dem need to do to solve all this internal security issues and dem just need to do am and stop to dey play politics around am.

E no too hard to solve these problems but na hard decision wey government need to make to stop the corruption for the system wey selfishness cause so that peace, unity, happiness, victory, and every other good thing fit return to the land.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: March 16, 2024, 10:36:06 PM
When a person makes a lot of single bets, the winnings are usually small, and those winnings are actually eaten up by the losses. Yes, one day you may get lucky and the winnings will cover the losses, but in the long run you will probably lose all your money (a little, but all). And sometimes you may not have enough patience and still feel the urge to put it all on the line.
I always have this mentality that playing gambling for a long time and eventually turn out to be very boring and when you are bored you can start making crazy selections just to be done with it so I always believe that if you are to win, you will win so just take that leap of faith and gambling what you want instead of wasting your time and playing different selection till you get frustrated and confused.

Well, gambling can never become boring for someone who is already psychologically attached to it, indicating that the person is already addicted to the behavioral addiction of gambling.

That's why it's often advised for people to avoid becoming addicted to it as much as possible. In my opinion, the best approach to gambling, which I'll continue to advocate for unless my opinion changes, is moderation. This helps prevent individuals from falling into the trap of using gambling to harm themselves and their financial well-being.

It's important to prioritize health, financial stability, and living within one's means. That's why it's crucial for people who are financially vulnerable to avoid gambling altogether.
