281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: you think we're all fucking stupid or what ? on: October 19, 2014, 01:16:50 AM
It's not to late for coins with a real user community.

how much are you paid to say that ? come on tell us !

Other way around. OP paid Winklevoss and Pierce to favorite/retweet those sentences on Twitter as a way of marketing AppleByte.

Interesting topic - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=827629.0

Apparently Cryptsy stakes POS coins.

It appears to have been in their TOS from the start.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTSY STAKES ALL POS COINS!!!!!! EXSPOSED! on: October 18, 2014, 06:08:01 PM
It's not Cryptsy's fault, they're just making money.

It's the Dumbass PoS supporters/developers fault. PoS=Piece of Shit and rightly so.

Then you know nothing about Cryptsy at all. if you say its not their fault. Noobs like you will fall again into the next GOX trap, but well i don't care if fuckups like you end up broke.

How fast do you fucking quote. I edited that out. Fuckups like me, I've likely made more than you'll ever see in your life.

Well, if XC can pull off what Blocknet. Then I see any easy win for XC when it comes for anonymity based features.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long term investments? on: October 17, 2014, 02:18:45 AM
From what I can see, there's only a few viable long term investments (alt) coins.

Monero/XMR, seems to be very popular. If the development team can deliver, then I see an interesting/long future with this one.

XC, although a bit "scatter-brained", seems to be diverging itself into many different sectors(All revolving around anonymity), which is a good thing, and if the cards are played right, it should have an interesting/long future.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 17, 2014, 02:11:45 AM
I believe religion is healthy and vice versa. In the context that it doesn't negatively interfere with a person's thoughts, actions, or overall well-being(life). If religion helps someone stay grounded, all the more power to them. It it does the opposite for someone else, it makes them feel suppressed, then all the power to them also.

288  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: October 16, 2014, 11:36:17 PM
So I guess we can all agree that BCX has lost all his credibility and turned himself into a laughing stock at this point.

I just can't help but wonder, for what?

I'm not really expecting an answer to this, but BCX, it's not like you have a lot to lose by coming clean now. Why did you waste it all?

I look at it differently. He could have changed his mind, as I recall the entire situation being spurred on by puppets like Moneroman88, and more.(All of whom coincidentally stopped their activities. Makes me speculate that they were involved with the BBR price rise and dump). I also believe they were Bobsurplus' multi accounts.

But in the end it doesn't matter what the outcome is. This is cryptoland, which only truly sprung up in 2013, we're just all in the beginning. Pointless arguing over cryptocurrencies is useless, better to unite against a bigger common enemy: FIAT, BANKS.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 16, 2014, 11:01:19 AM
This tech already exists in another currency which have this as their primary focus. I like the idea. But now you will fundraise this tech "again"? Great plans are good, but its taking away the focus on XC which is a excellent currency. And now i am starting to get worried, and the reason for this is that i have seen these great plans before in other context where talented people have lost their focus because they want to much. In 90% the plans are spinning out of control. In this case i am concerned that XC will loose ground.

More and more people are noticing this, and the answer that they get "trust us, its best for XC" like some sort of elitistic elite. BUT, if you do not have the peoples support in this you will loose. This is not some experiment, people invest real money into this.. im supporting wtih 1900XC, not much. But when 100 people with the same amount starting to get as confused as i am regarding Dan`s involvement in other currencys and this great plans, poeple will cash out.

I just responded to you. No need to repost.

Here is my response again:

That's like saying that the internet takes away focus from Google.

It doesn't. It enables Google to thrive.

Focus has *not* been lost. A huge userbase for XC has been gained.

You should all setup Xmixers right now. :-)

I think there is many more investors concerned the same way - that is why price is slowly sinking.

I don't want to talk about theory, let's learn on history.

Short example. Nicolas Tesla was a briliant guy. He invented a lot of devices which we use today. But he died in poverty, because he didn't care about people and investors (putting simple: PR). But Edison did care about people and investors. He was not brilliant, but he's company - General Eletric exists till today. Eidosn didn't die in poverty. Tesla did, because he woas focused only on "the thing" not "the people".

Besides I have seen many times good invention may loos with worse one, when there is great sales force and PR working on the other solution. You may have genious device, but it will die if not carrying about support.

I'm a tech guy also and I know people like me have more focus to things then people, but after all the oposite counts - people.

Conclusion is:
1) not paying attention to users (user friendly easy to install wallet)
+
2) not carrying about PR, centralised exchanges and investors
result = this great tech will loose with competitors.

I like this coin and still am an investor, but I feel not only technical things are that needs to be done. I simple observed this by my own that sometimes PR and connection is more important then genious device/code/concept and the poor concept win many times, because someone carrying about connections with people stays behind the poor concept he wins.

This is a curse of inteligent people, they don't even understant it's important Tongue
And then less inteligent, but having good selling skills (people oriented) survive with their sh*t solutions. That's why the world looks like it looks generally.

You are correct about PR. Just getting the word out there.

I'm glad to see more development going on in promising coins in the altcoin space. It has been stagnant recently.

I wonder why Moolah got into the management of Mintpal if they were nearly bankrupt?  Odd.

I'm definitely not sure of the specifics.

But I think that Mintpal's management was bought by moolah.io/alex green for around 700 bitcoins. I assume they went "Bankrupt" from lack of trading on the website after the hacking of vericoin in July, along with the recent crisis during Minptal's migration to "V2".

Or, they could be pulling a GOX on us, where they pretend to be bankrupt, while running away with the bitcoins scott free.

Interesting. I've recently been considering Monero more and more as a viable option for privacy, especially after learning of some "tragic" news for bitcoin's own privacy. I wish Monero the best of luck, hopefully we'll see it on the news within the next few years, as Bitcoin itself was.

296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More paedophile talk! on: October 15, 2014, 10:59:10 PM
Yeah yeah, you're just spamming now and aren't even being coherent.

Classic thing people say when they're wrong.

This whole arugment spurred of my text about Pedophilia, and how acts of Pedophilia are wrong because  most children are not mature enough to make thoughtful, educated, decisions on their own(If they were, then they'd all be financially wealthy and not dependant on anyone and more). Face it, a 13 year old's brain is still early in devleopmental phase, and your argument that we should treat them as adults is wrong on every level.

It seems you're trying to justify your own beliefs that children and adults can go together(Are you a pedophile? If so please seek therapy especially dealing with empathy and restraint when it comes to minors). But, you're wrong.

Look at cases of child molestation and the affect it has on the children and their loved ones. A child and an adult are on two different levels emotionally, physically, and mentally. Stop trying to compare them, and please seek treatement for yourself.

There are many children much more intelligent than adults.

http://youtu.be/k73q9KiKyIc?t=1m27s

There are even children that lecture adults: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq-FOOQ1TpE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehDAP1OQ9Zw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tbo5Y-8sTQ

The only thing limiting some children from dominating adults in the workplace is the fact that it's illegal for them to work or gain work experience.

basing maturity on maturity is rational. Basing maturity on age, race, gender, religion etc, is biased. So you don't realize it, but your statements are incorrect and ageist.

If you wanted to take away people's rights based on maturity it would have to apply to everyone based on maturity not age, but your maturity regulation ideas are against the constitution anyway. In fact the constitution is what's promoting the fight against ageism bigotry in the US today.

The idea that sex is somehow negative, or that somehow sex is unhealthy for individuals younger or older than their sexual prime is an irrational cultural taboo. 13 isn't too young for sex. Even the legal system allows minors to have sex, get pregnant and avoid STDs. It's only illegal for minors to have sex with people over 18.

These ageist policies are created because females 18+ dominate the vote. As a result social policy favors females 18+ and does not favor females -18 and males in general. To be more exact, the exacerbated age of consent laws in modern society are a direct result of liberal feminist.
src: http://egomoral.com/feminism-and-age-of-consent-laws-in-modern-culture/

I've realized that some of you are indeed Pedophiles. While it's not "wrong" to be one since we're led to believe it's similar to homosexuality in ways(being innate), but to act out on your impulses and thoughts are very wrong.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1868392/

Children are gullible, easy to be taken advantage of, fragile, not physically and mentally mature, and 100+ more. Adults, usually child molestors take advantage of those children. Did you know that the human brain doesn't stop developing until around the age of 25? Yea, 25.

Someone at the age of 13, nevertheless someone younger than 13, isn't nearly as developed as even a 20 year old is, both physically and mentally. The law stands that adults can not engage in sexual acts with minors because of the reasons I listed above(children being gullible and easy to take advantage of, physically weaker/undeveloped etc).

By the way, pedophilia is classified as a main attraction, sexually, romantically, and emotionally, to children age 13 and below. I am not talking about children aged 13 and above, that's hebephilia and the two are quite different.

Wrong and right are religious terms not scientific ones. Equal rights doesn't stems from homosexuality, but rather the constitution.

So you want to take people's rights away, because they aren't as intelligent?... Age isn't the only factor of 'intelligence'.

Race is a factor also: http://www.nationsreportcard.gov/hsts_2009/race_gpa.aspx

Gender is a factor also: http://www.columbiamissourian.com/m/32146/graph-mean-sat-math-scores/

Left to your principals, male Asians should have rights and white males, hispanic males, black males and all females should lose their rights.

Generalizing based on age, race, religion, gender isn't accurate because there are always exceptions. Anything else it called bigotry. Individuality must be respected in any society that promotes equal rights.

Besides the fact that your statements are irrationally bigitous. It's healthy for children to be sexual regardless of their intellect. Your idea that children shouldn't use their sex organs until their sexual prime doesn't make sense. Do you also think that children shouldn't use their brains, legs or eyes, until their physical prime too? What about after ones prime? Do you think that woman should stop being sexual after menopause?

If adults inherently take advantage of children, then it should be illegal for adults to engage in any activity with children, not just sex. Double stand exposed.

If children are required to consent, it should apply to any activity not just sex. Double standard exposed.

If children have the right to consent, but are denied it by law based on age, this is a violation of equal rights according the constitution's fourteenth amendment.

The information age is liberating minors and destroying agiesm in modern society. Playing the pedophile card won't help you promote ageism. Pedophilia is already legal.

Again, you're wrong. Wrong and Right are instinctual, based upon our need to procreate. That's why hurting someone else is wrong. Learn evolution/science please.

Race and Gender, cannot be compared to age. Someone at the age of 5 is still extremely early in development, and is of no choice of their own that they can't comprehend certain things. Race and Gender "intelligence" is affected because of society, not the individual's lack of knowledge or ability to understand. AKA: Race/Gender is cultural, age is not, and thus they cannot be compared.PS: In case you didn't already know, Gender is a social construct, the correct term used to differentiate natural born males from natural born females is sex.

There is no double standard. I'm not talking about adults taking advantage of children in day to day activities. I'm talking about sexual encounters and relationships between adults and children. In most societies today, sex is still regarded as a personal, intimate, thing that should be shared between two(consenting) people. You should read up on cases involving Adult and Children relationships, it's many times the case that men go after children to secure their need for dominance along with their own sexual pleasure, both of which can, and has been, devastating, for the child involved.

Again, there is no double standard, sex is plethora of emotions. It can be beautiful, as well as a horrible experience(in cases of unwanted sex; rape, molestation). Sex cannot be compared to say, swimming, since it's regarded culturally(in most cultures) as an intimate experience between two(or more) people. Ever wondered why sex was always held in such high regard throughout the ages in different religions, regions, and societies, or why we evolved to be in monogamous relationships?(further exemplifying the intimacy between individuals in sex). Please research that.

Are you unable to comprehend the concept that children are not as physically, mentally, and emotionally mature as adults? What don't you understand? You've just been comparing apples and oranges.

Everything you've said trying to justify intimate encounters between adults and children(age of 13 and below), has been wrong. You've literally made no sense throughout this entire exchange of text. Stop trying to justify something that can't be justified.

Lol, I literally rofl'ed at that one.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 15, 2014, 09:43:19 PM
We're not really comparing XMR notes with a BBR bagholder, are we?

I hope you're not talking to me. I wouldn't touch BBR for one of the main reasons I don't like Monero -- its got a silly name. Boolberry? No thanks.

You remind me of some bum I saw out on the street the other day. He started off by insulting me, then he said I was a "slave of the New World Order".

Shortly after he asked if I could "lend him some money" so he could get a sandwich.

Really? That's weird. I don't think you guys are the new world order at all.

But anyways... speculation... speculation...

If XMR falls to 2 and holds, _then_ I would say it might be a good time to buy. However there are other catalysts, known unknowns if you will (in addition to some known knowns), which may collapse XMR over the long run.

Without fresh blood, real-world integration or the saving grace of a whale, XMR is doomed to die a slow death. Don't worry, so are most coins. Its just that people spent an ungodly amount of time fretting over this one.

Dear nutildah,

I second this.

Even is XMR look awesome: the real-world integration fail, we aren't in the early stage anymore, the competition is rude and stuff happening now. I know only 3 coins who are going to be integrated in "the real world": BTC, XPC and Storj.
I had some hopes in XMR, but I lose all them when Risto started to work on this "game" for Monero. Risto is someone I follow from the begin: nice BTC prediction, nice speeches, etc... the guy is very interesting and was right most of the time. He was my metric. But now he turned into a XMR bug, posting texts walls, trying to protect the coin whatever the cost. Sign of despair.
For me this game is the symbolize the fact that nothing happened and nothing gonna happen. Hopes, is the only thing the XMR community have.

Take it easy, I'm not bashing anyone.
I think the price will continue to climb down, majority of peoples will sell and not buying back.

Real world integration my ass...Besides BTC, there aren't any cryptocurrencies accepted at any major stores/companies. Not 1. There is no real world integration yet, and even the Bitcoin saga is just beginning, with only a reported 1million bitcoin users. Bitcoin is still "early", as it hasn't even begun to hit into the mainstream yet, so please stop comparing other cryptocurrencies until we actually see some large Bitcoin acceptance by the mainstream communities around the world.
