283  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: November 22, 2012, 01:20:10 PM
Haven't been following the GLBSE news much lately, but I was wondering if someone could quickly get me up to date on a question I have:
Are there still people who haven't received their bitcoins back, despite not being an issuer themselves?
GLBSE still owes me bitcoins, and I still haven't received anything back, despite making my claim the day the page was launched...
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: silkroad is down on: November 11, 2012, 02:11:43 PM
Wow... only users that seems to like silkroad. No thought about that site being a potential threat to bitcoins. You all are user from silkroads service? This thread shouldnt be read by journalists, otherwise they could get strange ideas when such a community is acting this way.

Or is silkroad now another thing it was before? At least im a bit astonished.

We just like free markets Wink

Fibonacci retractments. So the movie  "PHI" was real?

What movie? Sounds interesting, but I can't find a movie named Phi on IMDB.

291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: October 28, 2012, 09:13:41 PM
That spike either is a whole new mining operation coming online or a couple ASICs being used, either way someones going to have a bunch of btc to dump or hopefully horde.

That spike is just normal variance...
292  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I need to reformat computer... on: October 28, 2012, 02:10:30 PM
Make sure you encrypt your wallet before you back it up. If you don't encrypt it, and someone finds your backup, he can spend your coins!
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: October 28, 2012, 11:31:43 AM
I am so bored. There is almost no activity on any of the exchanges lol

It's strangely quiet, I don't think I've ever seen Bitcoin Monitor so empty of red dots. Calm before the storm?

I think it's because the price wants to go down, because we seem to have entered a downtrend, but that bidwall is keeping is above $10. For now at least. I think it's just going to take some time to consolidate before we head lower.

I lost the Bitcoin black friday...  Cry

Hey Mr Manipulator, I wanna buy btc<10$ too

This is just a weak bounce on low volume. We will drop <10 again Wink
We haven't broken the 10$ line, too (we broke it, it generated tons of orders, most of it could have not be finished).

What do you mean? We clearly went below 10 multiple times, and it lasted way longer than just a simple spike.
Don't know, I just looked at the monthly graph with the spindles covering many hours. There was only one spindle under 10$ so I toght that.

Interesting than, it will go lower and lower. I will wait to buy.

Here's a nice site that shows current market depth and the price action in the last 24 hours: http://mtgoxlive.com/orders?volumeon
As you can see we've been below 10 for multiple hours. It isn't that long of course, but it's hardly a sudden spike.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: October 27, 2012, 12:57:44 PM
Typical pendulum type movement, it goes down, then it overshoots the bottom and at one point the price is just too good to pass on, a rally quickly forms and the price shoots back up, it overshoots the top, some bulls start selling for profit others get spooked and so we go down again and repeat.

I wonder if there's a good way to accurately predict those temporary bottom/tops? You'd be able to profit quite nicely from those pendulum swings Smiley

299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Litecoin Wall Observer on: October 27, 2012, 12:29:27 PM
Where can I get longer term LTC/BTC and LTC/USD price charts? The charts on BTC-e only show ~12 hours of price action. Am I missing something?

Here you go!
http://www.ltc-charts.com
http://cryptotron.com

Thank you very much Smiley
