281  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: June 11, 2016, 08:35:12 PM
This is what I got from the game messenger system.

administrator
Announcement,

As you might know, recently there was an intrude we think caused by an security breach in the game. We thought that this intrude was caused by a kind of cross script method and we started to investigate all the system (and it took weeks). The result is; since those people were managed to bypass the 2 factor authorisation, we think that that was an inside job and done by someone who has direct access to data centre.

We can not process the withdrawal orders at the moment, because we suspect that those intruders can control other member's accounts as well. Under normal conditions, profit was barely enough to pay for servers so there were very low amount of BTC on the hot and cold wallets, however we still had an important loss of BTC.

We are aware of how this situation frustrates all players, however we cannot process withdraw orders at the moment for the sake of protecting all accounts, including our's.

At this point, we strongly encourage all players to activate 2 factor authorisation and change their passwords as well.

We will update everyone once there is a progress and announce it on the global forum as well.

Thank you for your understanding,

Regards,
aliser

Looks like it has ether finally turn scam or hopefully they will resume withdraw soon. Every ride must come to a end.

How do you tell the difference?  When I log on the the miner it Say Sp20E I also took the advise from above and under volted it runs pretty quite now. Here is a picture of it running

https://gyazo.com/23ed4fbb87f418fe45ccb6085f2dea62

How much quieter is it? I might get these in the future but noise is important to me.

Is it the same as an S3 ?

I just downclocked mine with the fan a 10%, i humms "gently" but you still wouldn't sleep with it in the same room.

If you're interested I can make a video this evening to show you?

Also, at 10% the exhaust gets pretty warm, I'm quite shure it's not good for he asics but that's the price of quiet

Sure a video would help. But did you also undervolt with your underclock ?

Temp Front / Back T,B
27 °C / 65,60 °C
Fan Speed

Start Voltage
0.65 / 0.65 / 0.65 / 0.65
Max Voltage
0.67
Max Watts
190 / 190 / 190 / 190

and jere's the video : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1pT04MB3X0aS3BYUTZvNHlDckk (hope the link is public, tell me if it's not)

it gets me 1.3thash for 750 watts so an effisciency arround the s5 level (but more noisy) I run mine on a 700w server psu and it works like a charm.

btw, the high pitch noise is the psu, the miner makes the deep noise you can hear behind

Very nice but video is not public. Thanks for the information

Umm Not as quite as a S3 but close to it. I hear my server PSU over the miner now. Which it used to be I heard nothing but the SP20E.

Never ran Asic tubes I heard they where hard to maintain. As for the s1's naa 800 for 1.7 not worth it to me but thanks for the offer though. I am running 3 s3's and 1 C1 they are all pretty quite. I think my server psu's are louder than all the miners combined. Besides the Sp20 it over powers everything.

298  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Antminer S5 on: February 25, 2016, 02:19:46 AM
They seems like a really good deal, but your right might be out of my price range. It would be shipping to the US. I have never hosted a miner before so I wouldn't even know where to start there. Since my current mining operation has free power I would pass on the hosting and just continue to use my hardware where I can keep it clean and cool.

If you think it s worth it shipping to the US hit me up in PM and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks
