282  Economy / Gambling / Hyipbit.com any good? on: April 03, 2012, 07:15:48 AM
http://hyipbit.com/?ref=16wdZpQ53BzgncDs3xb8BMecoGVQQh73mK

found them on some hyip site, havent seen them anywhere in the btc communities.

minimum is 2btc, and i don't trust this one enough to take the risk.

the send addy doesn't change on refresh, or in private browse mode.  i also sent .01 btc and it went somewhere in 4.5hrs
283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Toss No Payment Received on: April 03, 2012, 01:43:47 AM
I used to get referrals too, I'd try referring my self to see if I get a pay out, but I think we all know the answer, and I don't want to drop any coins into it.

Need to look around and see where I posted my referral links so I can remove them, if possible.
284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [NSFW] Girls of Reddit's r/GoneWild on: April 03, 2012, 01:36:45 AM
And I was trying to unsubscribe from all the NSFW reddits,
(wile keeping them on a different name I use.)

can't wait for witcoin to return.
285  Other / Off-topic / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto: The Next 24 Hours on: April 03, 2012, 01:22:09 AM
I believe I may have bumped into Satoshi Nakamoto in real life one day in the late 90's or early '00s.

we had a conversation while waiting in line.  It was about computers, fixing the money system and a few other things that I forget now.  Wish I knew where i put that business card.
286  Other / Off-topic / Re: BribeCoin on: April 03, 2012, 01:12:45 AM

288  Bitcoin / Project Development / handy tools for site building?? on: April 02, 2012, 10:00:15 AM
I'm working on building a site and have someone who is doing a lot of the work.  I feel like some of it might be redundant, and would like to know some of the common resources used.  I also appreciate many of the sites that seam to have this no nonsense sign up and use process.

the site I'm working on will be a classified ad site, and bitcoin will be the primary payment option.  Also need to know bitcoin api integration and security practices for running the site's wallet.

is there a list some where of the basic opensource things to add when setting up a site?

things like openid, a captcha, social media share buttons?

also things like the auto geo location, and I'm sure I'm missing a lot of the nice little features.

I know some stuff has to be done by hand, but why go re-invend the wheel when its already done.

only places I currently check out on occasion are github, sourceforge and softpeida's scrips area.

290  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anonymous Ads. Advertisers can reward affiliates that advertise on listed sites on: April 02, 2012, 08:47:52 AM
Just found this, Looks nice.

use my refcode.

no grandfathering me the sigs for img :/

Please advertise with Anonymous Ads

Thanks!

I think it is better to use your "http://anonymousads.com?partner=16ArAjNzaiHxKZqdu735y9vce96VxDCf6V" link instead of "http://anonymousads.com/userbar/195/click" in your signature.

both addresses are me.  I made the first one and thought I could change the filter levels later.  then saw it seemed to be locked so I made the second one.

It is ok to make as many addresses as you need. What I am talking about is that the link in your signature is not a referral link. You can click it and see what happens. You referral link should be anonymousads.com?partner=<your affiliate's withdrawal address> -- in that case you receive 10% of bootstrap deposits of advertisers you attract with it.

oh that, I was trying to get regular ads to show up, but I guess the no images rule broke that, was trying to find a way around it, but gave up, I'm not as familiar with html as I'd like to be.

293  Bitcoin / Mining support / what is the name of that site with the API Mining Monitor on: April 02, 2012, 08:16:01 AM
i used to used to check it regularly before I sold my mining rig.  I was mining on multiple pools, and had plugged the api token into the site, now I can't remember what it is, and I have looked in all the places I can think of, is it still around?

295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Occupy Wall Street Live Feed on: April 02, 2012, 07:59:28 AM
I've Been at Occupy Phoenix for a while, mentioning bitcoin to everyone.  very few are interested.

however the few that had a little interest, are starting to show more interest.

i've been showing people the various sites.

the ones I think are very useful

bitcoin.org, bitcointalk, en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade, weusecoins, mtgox(live), bitcoinwatch, bitcoinmonitor, blockexplorer, forbitcoin, bitcoinclassifieds, bitmit, giftcard, some of the gambling sites, and ofcourse the sites with referral programs, and the various faucets.

many of the people who have an interest in btc would like to know how to get some, but not through the exchanges.  many of them like the mining method, but don't have a decent GPU, nor the money for one.

I met someone who can code better than i can, and is working on an Idea I had for a Classified ad type site, that will use BTC but does not foce people to spend large amounts in btc, hopefully it will bring a large crowd to the site, and get them into btc if they aren't already.  Its on GitHub, and hope to have an alpha in the next month or so.
