looks like they have had a pretty unlucky 3 months or more minus the last week.

that's like us in reverse

The coindesk post might sound a little misleading but that happens in communication.
I hope they will at least correct the link to myTREZOR Smiley
The CoinDesk article was compiled without interaction with me, interpreting quite freely a press release and our web sites.

The back end serving the transaction history for myTREZOR was developed by Bits of Proof. It was delivered in source code to SatoshiLabs and is operated by SatoshiLabs.

The Bits of Proof software stack is a generic purpose foundation for enterprise use of Bitcoin as demonstrated also by this project.

It is the shared goal of CoinTerra and Bits of Proof to establish BOP as an industry standard. Details of this plan will be out in few days and will be surely positive for TREZOR.

Thank you for this clarification. Good luck with your new affiliations.

Why don't they ever post here anymore?
last 24h = 5 pages of whine about bad luck

True that.

The last couple days of bad luck brought our 30 day luck back to 100%. The last 3 months have been well above average
287  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: July 29, 2014, 06:56:30 AM
good god lets hope not.  no that is not what I said at all. read it again

back-end for myTREZOR, this bits of proof apparently is now owned by one of the worlds worst hardware manufacturers cointerra?

I was hoping this would make a bunch of ppl jump ship then I could get bigger payout in the coming round of short blocks.
And this is buddies fault for saying he would trade a 24hr round for a smaller LOD

Oh well.. I'm not a scammer
If anyone can find me a Antminer s3 and have it shipped to Canada please let me know.

found you one! bitmain site has batch 5 still available 0.64BTC includes shipping ---> https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140630025130637RV8OhOwt06BC
291  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Want to buy a SHA256 Miner, Antminer or Cointerra shipped to Canada on: July 28, 2014, 07:28:48 AM
why wouldn't you buy right from bitmain then? 0.64 BTC includes delivery. my order of two units to Victoria BC had no import duties or tax. but my order of 3 cost me 188.83CAD import duties.

I don't understand how bitminter can win block 312400 and our find becomes orphaned.

Slush reported 312400 at

2014-07-25 09:02:11

Bitminter reported 312400 at

2014-07-25 09:02:58

That's 47 seconds later than us. I can understand if the time between two pools finding the same block is very short, but 47 seconds?

https://blockchain.info/block-height/312400

Block timestamps should not be considered the actual times they were made.  The timestamp for the block is part of your header data before you start hashing it, and is based off the pool server's clock.  It also doesn't have to be updated as you continue to hash.  Blockchain.info used to have 'Received time' vs 'Timestamp', but for the last few months that has been broken and they just use the timestamp for both.

I don't know about them but reading a previous post on the matter I would research any pool you are thinking about switching to as this could be effecting more than us. All I know is it sucks.

Come to BTCGuild. Orphan rate is less then 0.01%

slush pool is the same, less than 0.01% from pool lifetime
293  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: July 28, 2014, 03:31:08 AM
It is nice that much hashing power left the pool near the end of that last 12 hour block, got much larger payout. Thanks for bailing guys.
294  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: July 27, 2014, 05:29:47 AM
I just got an IOS update for bitWallet, seems it now supports BIP32 hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallets and BIP39 mnemonic sentences.
Does this mean it can be used with trezor?

edit: found the answer few pages back, quote from slush p.74 "To be exact, Trezor needs just BIP32 and BIP39 to be supported by client. BIP44 is needed only if client want to see all accounts, transaction history and balances produced by myTREZOR"
295  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer S3 support and OverClocking thread on: July 26, 2014, 07:53:46 AM
Probably a really dumb question here but................

Say a person just ordered 30 S3's and wanted to find a more economical (not in terms of price but in terms of setup )solution to powering them all instead of buy a ton of standard PSU's.

Does anyone know of a solution involving a larger power supply unit that could say, power 5 units off it instead of having to have a dozen standard ATX psu's?

If you're looking for something easy, most of the >1300W power supplies will power a minimum of (3) S3's.. That would mean 10 PSU's for 30 machines.. easier to manage.

If you're looking for something cheaper, you can buy 100-200A 12V supplies in varies forms (server PSU, LED power supply, etc) and cable your own solution.

I power 4 S3's no prob with this --> http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159158

296  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer S3 support and OverClocking thread on: July 26, 2014, 07:51:53 AM
So it's been 12 hours give or take since I flashed the new firmware and changed the cgminer settings to queue 0 expiry 1 scan-time 1.  No real noticeable difference.

I thought the new firmware only reduced the beeps further
297  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: July 26, 2014, 07:24:09 AM
Nice photo u put the s3 inside a mini soft box? I believe Grin. Btw I am going to buy some double side tape to cover that beeping hole. LoL

The wife went from pissed off to okay after I did this pad mod. So it was worth it.

Sold!
298  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: a few photos of how to make the s-3 beep less annoying. on: July 26, 2014, 07:20:50 AM
You are a saint. Thanks for this thread. Will mod a bunch of 'em tonight.

Cheers !

big thanks for mods:

299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: July 26, 2014, 06:28:18 AM
ordered 3 b1 and 2 b2, got 1 unit 2 days ago and the other 4 today. easy setup, way way way quieter than my cointerra and spondoolies s10, hashing averaged between all machines for the entire day at 444 Gh/s each.
300  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 26, 2014, 05:57:11 AM
I am happy with my S3's. As an owner of bfl little singe(now not profitable), cointerra, and spondoolies s10(both perform great but are super noisy), I must say that Bitmain S3 is by far The Best Power Efficiency of the lot. Also the quietest (5 S3's same loudness as my pc).

I get sustained 444Gh/s at pool averaged per machine stock settings.
