Advice time
Say that I want to cashout a (minor) amount of my Dash coming from my nodes into €
Right now, this process is extremely long and costs a lot. The best option looks like:
- I move my Dash from my wallet to an exchange, i.e. Polo - I buy BTCs - I move these BTCs to an exchange that operates in €, i.e. 247exchange (best option IMHO right now for €) - I buy € - I Cashout €
All the above passages cost some money, in some cases actually a huge % that makes absolutely suboptimal to change less than 1K€ (and even there it's bad).
Am I missing something? Is there a better way?
Also, what about FIAT gateways project?
Thanks in advance

Apparently The DAO / ETH hacked??? - shoulda stayed in DASH ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) All of these new technologies like DAO, Lisk, Waves are such rushed code to get the hype and $$$ up they arent secure or have not withstood the test of time like BTC DASH.... Common sense peoples! Wow Can someone explain a little more what happened and what is going on?

unnecessarily big text
Dude... chillax. It's simple math: Bitcoin block time of 10min@1MB blocksize results in 7tps, thus Dash block time of 2.5min@1MB blocksize results in 28tps. Being increased to 2 MB right? with 2 MB blocksize Dash has about 56tps as Bitcoin's block size limit (1 MB), as Dash's code is forked from Bitcoin. We have blocks 4 times as often though (2.5 mins vs 10 mins), so we effectively can handle 4 times the transactions of Bitcoin, despite block size limit being the same. To be fungible in the real world we need much more btw ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Let's see what Evan is thinking about... EDIT :: with 4MB, Dash can reach parity with Paypall YAYYYYY ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

what do you guys use for cold wallet for your dash?
Download Electrum-Dash from www.dash.org. I use that for my cold wallet. It's up to you, though. Tao may you explain how it works? I have a partition on my PC now, but I really don't like it ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Given that this a not-official topic and that I am a total retarded in coin world, may I ask to XMR fanboys why do you think that Monero is good? Forget about Dash for a minute, I really want to learn. I have some Dash but this isn't important in my view. I am a totally avg guy that knows just the basics, and I think that Dash has (and actually is developing) some unique features. Monero isn't, apart for not delivering; just nothing that I see good from a mktg/finance perspective. But I may be wrong. Just tell me why, I want to learn ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Not so IT, but in case someone wants to buy some DASH given the prices, and in order to do that you need BTC, I think that https://www.247exchange.com deserves a big UP Not only the service is good and the price reasonable (especially if you buy a decent amount), the other day I made an order and they didn't realize that they received the payment some hours earlier. In the meantime the BTC/€ went up so I received 0.5 BTC less. I just sent them an email, they acknowledged the mistake and sent me the difference. Very professional I have not thoroughly checked their site, but are you saying that this is not an automated exchange? I am curious as how could a deposit be missed, that sounds like a manual procedure rather than the platform crediting your account? Anyway glad it got sorted out! I made a SEPA transfer. Indeed, there was a check that they needed to do for a not-trivial amount ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hey everyone, I tried to address all of the questions you guys had on the The DashRoundtable above. If anything remained unanswered or has some ambiguity feel free to rephrase your questions and we can continue the conversation.
I just listened to the broadcast (great show) and tried to visualize some of the things that you guys discussed over there, can you tell me if this is somewhat correct ? Good idea -- I made a few charts. I was talking to someone the other day who would only learn visually, I guess it's important sometimes. https://github.com/evan82/sentinel/blob/master/docs/tour.mdLol didn't even read all but loved FF6 reference ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Is there an historical tracker for USD price of Dash? Also, a deflationated one considering mining?

While I agree that MN voting is a great tool, we don't have to be carried away with it Competence is hard to develop. We can't be competent in the 100% of the fields - I don't understand a word regarding all the tech stuff but I know about mktg and mgmt. It's extremely important for a long-term project that we are NOT all expert on anything Delegate to win ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

It wasn't very discussed lately, but I have to give a terrible feedback regarding EXMO
I didn't have the chance to trade. I am still stuck with their KYC. I work in the online industry way before KYC was even "something"; i never ever seen so many stupid rules.
I lost a month and about 20 mails, and I keep getting a sort of auto reply poorly translated with google from Russian; result, they ask for a document that is never ok or doesn't make any sense (like sending back and front in the same file without merging, without reducing resolution, without cutting borders)
If someone has a proper contact and not the one of these absolutely abysmal guys working in support is welcome (sorry support, you deserved it)

Interesting fact:
With the massive dump on ALL alt coins, the number of MN active went 20 up (and Dash is actually one of the few not losing 15-20%)
So it's just someone dumping, the Dash user base is totally stable

Not a great fan of this The centralization was/is a total issue on BTC, something that might kill the future of the first crypto. Dash is way more distributed. I don't like the idea of someone generating an insane hash rate. Will this impact on total number of Dash minted?

Moo, regarding cold storage - do you have any advice regarding the topic? Where, how, launching etc

@toknormal it was a sell of 22k dash not a small one ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I see a 4K dump only... If you go yo 1min time frame you'll see it's not 22K. Nothing important it happen oftenly inDash world. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Oh not bad to me, got 2 new nodes with a nice discount ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) (still looking for a good timing to buy another)

What was that massive sell?
Instamine being dumped. Evolution, Exmo, and 2MB blocks aren't impressing the market. Lightning is being tested on Segnet4, but we don't hear a thing about Bitcoin's amazing new features (CLTV/CSV/SEGWIT/RBF) being added to Dash. Payment channels like Lightning are what will enable crypto at Visa scale; trusted Masternodes using InstantX is a nonstarter for anything less trivial than vending machines. Question: why don't they ban him? Just to understand rules here @toknormal it was a sell of 22k dash not a small one ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
