281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: May 03, 2023, 03:02:54 PM
If it is just about losing, as a trader, you shall not stretch it more out. It is a normal part of the game. A loss is necessary for the probability of your winning system to pan out.
It is also not just about the market. The market does its own thing. Your main focus should be on how you are going to act as opposed to how the market is moving.

You can have the direction right but still not profitable. See? That's a big problem. Success in trading is about 3 things. How you perceive the market. What is your strategy in line with how you perceive the market, and How are you behaving with your strategy to profit from the market?

Everything is seasonal. Whether it is price delivery or your personal account PnL and drawdowns. Whatever it is, just know that it is momentary. Focus on the process.
Even the strategies and individual behaviors are seasonal along with the market as they need to be changed when the market moves from one place to another. One cannot use the same strategy when the market isn't moving the same way all the time, and there needs to be tweaks in a strategy or a process that one uses towards the market.

Your success depends on how you change your process and adapt new strategies and methods that best suite the changing market conditions from every now and then, if you can keep up, you will be good, if not, you will probably lose momentum.

If you can still earn while work I think the best option right now is do both. Looking for a job is very hard nowadays so please ask yourself are you suitable with this?

and second trading is risky business maybe for now you made a decent profit but sometimes market is against you and losses is inevitable and you must know this, and if you are good at it than full time trading is best option for you. but before you get out from your current job it always better to have multiple source of income rather than sorry later like I did Sad
It's normal to earn while working except if the company intentionally didn't pay you but we can always report them. Maybe on some undeveloped or developing countries, jobs there are hard to find. If that is the case then we should value it.

We must not forget that this is where we start so we must not replace it easily only because we think trading can offer nice money because that might not last. The OP is planning on quitting his job so I think he will also do the same on his other earning activities if ever he has it, so that it gives him more focus and time for trading. He will never have an interest in trading if he is already earning decent from multiple sources.
283  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: May 02, 2023, 06:43:05 PM
I have a problem with bonuses on some gambling platforms, they aren't worth my time and I only knew this after trying them, I have heard a series of good stories about how people make some money from bonuses but not me, and now I just take my eye off any bonus offers from any online gambling platform.

It's better to focus on how to make money from online casinos instead of the bonuses they offer, it's only a marketing strategy and most times there is always more to the offer then plan to give up to new users.

Enjoy your games and pray for some luck 🎲
It's very rare to find people who win money from bonuses offered by the casinos since the wagering requirements are so high that one will end up losing everything only in the process of trying to meet those requirements. One might even lose their deposited bankroll in that process before completing the wagering requirement of a certain bonus.

Though it's not good to focus on how to make money from casinos or gambling, one should not chase bonuses since it's basically not worth it due to the very high wagering requirements imposed by the casinos on the bonuses provided.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 02, 2023, 02:03:51 PM
I noticed that the number of rehab facilities seem to grow over the last few tears, or at least the advertising from them. These days there seem to be special rehab programs for all types of addictions. It's a good thing as people also seem to be more willing to seek help and try to change their situation. The difference between a drug, alcohol or gambling addiction is, that in the latter case you are likely to use much more of your money. In severe cases you might even gamble away all your savings before realising that you need help. So it might be much harder for a gambling addict to afford rehab. Hopefully there is special assistance programs in place for the most serious cases. Personally I have managed to stay clear of a gambling addiction, even though I already gamble for many years. This might be due to the strict rules I put on myself, with the most important one being to have a fixed gambling budget for every week or month. Having a hard cap on my bankroll helped to not chase losses, which usually leads to even larger losses.
Though I'm not sure, I believe there are rehab centers or at least programs that help gambling addicts get a grasp on their addiction and slowly recover from it since some of the cases as you mentioned get so severe that they even gamble away their possessions, not just money. In very rare cases, people gamble on their houses and properties as well.

But when it comes to help, a rehab center or a helping hand can only be helpful if a person who is addicted admits that they have got this problem and that they want to get rid of it. If a person doesn't accept it or doesn't want any help, no one can really do anything.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: May 02, 2023, 11:08:31 AM
Reading another post, it crossed my mind that AIs and particularly ChatGPT could potentially be trained with a large samples of games played by poker champions and then put it to auto-play with amateur on-line players. If this is successful, it could mean the end of human on-line poker playing except perhaps for the world masters and the like. Has anyone tried? Would it be possible??
Totally, when they are online getting real time data, not only chatgpt but other AI:s as well. In fact, one could just run dozens of bots playing with each other against the humans, amd if you get 2 of your own ai:s in on same table, changes to play humans out are pretty high. But even when you are playing live, it's not far ahead for people to use augmented reality layer in their glasses that others can't see, and it will be operated by AI that suggest what you should do. Same goes with chess. They need to do nude search for those matches sooner or later.
I believe there is a very big difference between chess and poker or any other gambling game. In chess, all the moves are basically anticipated since there are only a finite number of moves that can be used in chess which can be easy to be memorized by AI, and we've been seeing that for a long time where a bot can beat a human in a chess game on a mobile or a pc.

But when it comes to poker or any other gambling game, the games are always different, the cards are different and so are the cards of every other player. So it doesn't really sound possible for AI to memorize all that and apply it practically.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi coin on: May 02, 2023, 06:24:00 AM
this is an old project which was very popular at that time (many said that Pi will replace ETH), but until now Pi cannot be traded and has no price yet, so if you want to earn money from Pi, then you have to do p2p (looking for people who want to buy your Pi), but if I'm not mistaken you also have to do KYC first, so you can transfer your Pi.
Lol, that must be a joke, a newly launched project that has no visible team, and no usability, all it has is a mobile application that allows mining of the token that comes out of nowhere, and people used to think it will replace ETH which is the second largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and the most popular altcoin in the crypto universe.

Pi has reached nowhere nor it will since it is a project with no meaning at all. What does Pi do? What does it offer to the community? Why are they simply not letting their users who have been mining tokens for years simply withdraw them?
287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know it that market is speculative on: May 01, 2023, 04:25:33 PM
Every market is like this. Except maybe if you are investing in bonds or investing in stock index and holding for decades everything has risks. Look at real estate.

People last year and 2007 assumed that real estate will always go up and look what happened right after. And real estate is suppose to be considered a very safe investment. Nothing is safe from risk. Don’t invest more than you can lose.
Bonds are affected by the interest rate hike while stock index on the other hand fluctuates less. That is what it says after I research this two in the web. This only proves that every investment has their own set of risk. Some are only low while some are high like the crypto market.

It's a misconception if someone thinks or says that real estate investments are safe. This is why many people are going crazy over them but these people will only get shocked once their investment drops although like any other investment instruments, there is still a chance that their value can recover. All we got to do is to stay calm and be patient but this is more attainable if we are not risking money outside our capacity.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: May 01, 2023, 03:34:26 PM
We all look for those patterns, even though such "patterns" don't really exists. It's just a human nature and a way of giving them a "hope" when they start losing. And yeah, people do think that if they bet more, they will eventually win, or if they are in a huge red streak, the next bet will more likely be a winning bet, the autospin feature is rigged (might be.. who knows...) or if you bet high, you start losing. But most of these aren't true and its all in peoples head. Everything depends on the RTP and the randomness of the result.
Yeah, I do used to hit the bet button and try to stop the wheel at the perfect combination, even though I did know that all the results are determined as soon as you hit the spin button and the spinning slots are just animations.
Only those who are wise enough look for patterns because they are also desperate to improve while the rest is just going with the flow. What I know is that patterns are a repeated action. It is done step by step and it is real but it's hard for it to work in gambling because of its unpredictable state/nature. To have a hope is not wrong. It helps us to push further and sometimes we can still recover and end up with a profit but we can't experience this if we stop early.

Those on your second sentence are not true. It's just a false belief but I know, many gamblers still carry that mindset up until now. As for your last sentence, I think you are just bored or sometimes desperate. I did that sometimes in different games but I know they are just animations which does not affect the game at any way.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shitcoinpocalypse: Let's give a bunch of anonymous cartoon cat developers a $33 on: April 30, 2023, 08:14:44 PM
It's true that many projects in the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain are driven by profit and the desire to make money, especially in the world of cryptocurrency, where new ventures are constantly emerging. Sure, there have been many cases of scams in the crypto world, but keep in mind that there are legitimate projects and teams that are working hard to build valuable and innovative products. The important thing is whether you can control your greed or not. The problem is still with you.
We can obviously not blame the people who create those cryptocurrencies with no utility since they want to earn some money using the most hyped topics of the cryptocurrency universe and it is we who give them what they want which is hype only because we want to satisfy our greed and the dreams of becoming millionaires by doing nothing.

We always forget that those who become rich by doing nothing are mostly a few out of a million and that is a very low ratio, to be honest, but who cares? It's only a few dollars for us which becomes a fortune for the creator of that token since a few dollars from a million pockets become a few million dollars.
290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos is a good source of crypto knowledge on: April 30, 2023, 07:24:52 PM
His book Mastering Bitcoin is great source of knowledge for those who are really interested in learning about actual working of bitcoin as he has covered and explained each topic in detail. There are many of us who have taken his guidance to get acquainted with bitcoin knowledge. Those who read the book will no longer be newbie but can guide and inform others also about what are transactions,UTXO,seed phrase, private keys and how it's all derived even though if you are not programmer you can understand it to some extent.

He also has YouTube channel where he post videos about bitcoin and other crypto related topics so you can check it out here : https://youtube.com/@aantonop

He is posting videos after some time so can't say he is not active but the thing is how many people are interested in listening to him? So he has done quite good for bitcoin growth and helped users to be aware when it was early like the lecture he was delivering when it was at $100 only but the hall was empty so you need to follow these persons.
No you've to be serious, if you are not programmer or if you have not a decent background in computer science at least, you will hardly understand what he is talking about into this book, especially if you are a beginner as this section is intended for. Personally I don't recommend, and I don't think it's a good idea to do it, this book to any beginner, because it will lose them with useless theoretical concepts for the common use of Bitcoin. You don't need to know how a car is constructed in order to drive it.
Well, I pretty much agree with this, people who try to explain Bitcoin from a technical perspective to a person who doesn't even know what it is nor do they have much knowledge about technology and how it all works, if you start explaining cryptography to a newbie he will definitely get confused and lost in the middle even if he starts to grasp the idea initially.

It's better to keep things where they should be, so limiting the information for newbies to what Bitcoin is, how one can buy and store it, how to send and receive Bitcoins and that's it. The knowledge that one might require later on they can find out about themselves.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 30, 2023, 06:52:21 PM
There are so many new projects launching everyday and some of them can be good and some of them can be a scam as well. How can we identify it well? Perhaps we should have more discussion about it so we all can learn from everyone's experience.
And talking about identifying well, that is hard to do knowing that scammers are smart too. They keep improving their strategies which makes it hard to detect if it was a scam until someone claims that they got scam. It is too unfortunate that yeah, someone had to lose their money before the community become aware of the situation. And I believe that everyone is aware of this thing but guess what, because of greed and the instinct of many people to -instant rich, many still fall into scam projects.
You said identifying scam is hard? That is true, so don't blame that someone can get scammed because not all of them are investing on a shit project but they also make sure that what they investing is a quality one. It's just that shit can happen sometimes. Luna, FTT, and so many projects who started great are an example to this.

Not all who invest have one thing in mind, and that is to become instantly rich because they know that it was hard even for a legit project but they only invest to earn something in the future. Getting scammed is part of the risk in investing so one should not over think about it but they can just move on and try their luck again on the other project.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What went wrong with bitcoin! Reply on: April 30, 2023, 06:28:03 PM
My reply, sir generally the market is down not only to you but everybody, just exercise patients because even myself can not explains to you why the price is not going up, I guess this is as a result of low demands and supply's chain of distribution of bitcoin that has affect the market but don't panic am sure you will recover your money when the market rise soon, but how soon he ask? I said the market is rising slowly already.
Before we allow people to invest in Bitcoin, they must understand that we do not control the market and that there is a risk. Even if the price of Bitcoin falls dramatically, it will gradually rise above your purchase price. But we have no idea when it will happen. Some will take a few months, while others will take a year, so patience is essential here.

Aside from that, I just don't believe that it was due to a shortage of supply in Bitcoin since when there is a lack of supply and demand in Bitcoin, the market tends to consolidate, so the price doesn't fall but also doesn't rise. The price of Bitcoin will only fall if the supply exceeds the demand.
We can't control them because it was their money and as a newbie it's normal that their urge is high. They can hastily invest disregarding the important points that they must know. As a result, they are now wondering on why Bitcoin falls down and seem to not recover anymore. They are now worried and worse is they will start selling at a loss.

There is nothing we can do about it. A shortage in supply and an increase in demand will actually lead for the price to rise. This is what will happen soon with Bitcoin after several halvings. There are also people who lost access to their Bitcoins which can make Bitcoin scarcer. For now, the price falls for some reason and not because the demand have totally dropped.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 30, 2023, 05:00:31 PM
Op raises good points. I can confirm to the fact that your advise is applicable to gamblers of all levels. If I'm not mistaken, even people who gamble go there and use it to manage their finances and health at the same time because losing money too much—to the point where you have to sell your property—can force you to do other bad things that will harm your health, such as the previously mentioned anxiety, depression, and other things. this things happened to me when I first started gambling, and I put a huge amount of money in without knowing whether I would lose or win, and it affected me, therefore I think everyone seeing this can benefit from the op's advise, thank you man.
You are right that using a lot of money in gambling can affect your mental health at a very severe level if you lose it all time or even half of it. Most of the times, when someone loses half of their bankroll they start panicking and lose the other half only because of that since they start making bigger bets to recover the lost money.

It's better to be a responsible gambler and gamble only within your limits, even if you lose some of your money, you should not panic and you might get them back, but once you start panicking, you start losing more.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 29, 2023, 05:21:33 PM
The best thing to do is to simply watch the Sport, because the commentators are very knowledgeable about the Sport that they are commenting on, so they will give valuable information on the competitors and also on math ups in the future.  Wink

I also use Yahoo sports and also "Google" for the stats on every fighter. You really took a very volatile and risky Sport, because one lucky punch or kick can turn the whole fight, so it is more risky than other Sports that you might be used to.  Tongue
The fact about the unpredictability of boxing matches is surely a thing one should consider before making bets, especially someone who isn't really knowledgeable about the sport and is only in the learning process yet. I think they should first focus on gaining knowledge about all the fighters and evaluate their past fights with each other.

That is the only way one can get a grasp on a specific sport, by watching matches and looking at the past stats of each player. The last few matches can give one an idea of how each player has been doing recently.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 29, 2023, 05:00:34 PM
In politically corrupt countries, there is nothing that can't be done especially if one has money, and politicians have a lot of that since there is corruption in almost everything that they have their hands in and they get their part from everything. That is the reason why there are basically no rules and regulations for politicians in such countries.

I'm not sure about how things work in developed countries but that is what happens in third-world or developing countries, and the reason why these countries don't become developed is basically the extreme level of corruption.
What you say is true and they can also take advantage of the gambling industry to carry out money laundering so that the acts of corruption that they commit cannot be traced to the financial sources obtained.
Political players in government are criminals who are actually even more dangerous in a country and the average person in this kind of government will be protected and rarely be caught by the law.
So far, no country has been able to really control acts of corruption, except for countries that have very strict laws and even dare to take harsh penalties against any government criminals.
There is one country that has severe penalties for corruptors and with these penalties no one dares to commit corruption even if only in small amounts, namely North Korea.
North Korea should not be counted in this in my opinion since that isn't a democratic country based on what has been the rules for so many years and how the government actually is, but other countries, mostly third-world countries suffer more from corruption since there is basically not much law imposing authorities since there is corruption in every sector.

The corrupt politicians use every source they can to carry out their evil and illegal activities not to hide them from the authorities but to hide them from the general public, the authorities work under them so they don't fear them at all.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 29, 2023, 04:02:21 PM
I think you shouldn’t invest in Doge by following it’s previous history (last ATH), Is there a guarantee that Doge will hit the previous ATH? there are no surety i think. Even it will not be good decision to hold long term if it’s a meme coin and manipulated by elon musk.
indeed there is no guarantee for ATH in the near future, but at least DOGE is a meme coin that has survived to this day even though the price has not yet reached 1$,
there is nothing wrong if the OP has free funds for the long term to keep the doge in his wallet

and don't care about elon if getting profit means doge is worth investing in
I agree, there are way too many people who invest into such things, which makes absolutely no sense to me at all, why would you want to invest into doge and risk your money. It is YOUR money, and you are giving it to basically Elon, not directly giving it to him, but you let him decide what it should be doing, if he says doge, you invest into doge, so basically Elon controls your money for you, that makes no sense to me at all.

I would highly suggest to avoid these because then you could start to invest into something that makes some sense, that way you could at least reach to a point where you can make your own decisions based on nobody else but you. That should return with a good profit eventually and could give you better benefits.
297  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: April 29, 2023, 03:59:41 PM
Not really that hard to see out that differences and if you do have those impressions that Terms and conditions of sites are really just almost the same most of the time then you should really be that
so sure that you do able to point out about those differences because once you do missed out then you would really be able to hit up some problems later on, which is something that we dont
really like to happen. As a player then it would really be our responsibility to read up those things and its not really that something that would be needing for the team to remind you out on doing so.
Its been always written somewhere in the corner, it is really just a matter of effort you would be putting on.

Back on the topic about starting your own gambling site, then it would really be needing lots of factors which you would be needing to consider because building one isnt really that cheap
plus you would really be needing to offer something that havent been offered on the market before. This is why getting users is never been that simple or a huge challenge
for any business out there.
Yes, what you say is true, but unfortunately not everyone can really understand it and understand it all.
Even I myself sometimes still experience errors that I might be able to fix because they are not too fatal.

There are many factors needed in building a gambling business, but the main thing is the budget problem and several teams that can work well and are experienced because when there is a large budget and a qualified team, all the success factors in building a gambling business can be handled properly. promotions and others.
A good enough budget with a well-thought plan is the way to go when you are about to start a new business whether it's a casino or anything. A big enough budget without a proper business plan can take you nowhere as the budget will simply be used without any proper understanding of how much should be spent on any specific thing.

So the very first thing is a proper plan, the second most important thing is a high budget, and the first requirement is a professional and experienced team. These are all the things that can create a successful business.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 29, 2023, 03:06:43 PM
Whoever that is, he crossed the line from being a gambling addict to becoming pure evil for doing that to his own daughter. It's too much and I don't think it's just because of the addiction to gambling. There must be other reasons why these things do happen. Loan sharks for example. He must have a great deal of loaned money and the loan sharks are trying to get it back by force so he made a plan to create money out of thin air by using his own daughter.
Maybe he thought this is one good reason to force the bank into letting him borrow more money because the daughter's life is in jeopardy.

It is truly madness and this kind of activity should not be roaming in the public anymore as he may hurt more people in the process.
Gamble responsibly.
A person who takes such a step has either lost their mind or has become too compelled to do it because of either their addiction or lust for money but either way, they probably found no other way around that they could use to get a handsome amount of money to complete what they wanted to so they decided to take this route.

They might have thought that they will easily get away with this but due to them being old-aged, they probably couldn't execute or think of a plan that might have made them able to escape successfully, and they will probably serve their remaining life in prison.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: April 28, 2023, 06:04:34 AM
Did I read something wrong or are these two different stories? In the first case, the path from success to failure took only 3 days, and in the extended version of the story, it took 2 months. Let's say I'm ready to believe that there are such stupid gamblers who quit their jobs after three days during which they win 2.5 thousand dollars, but it's hard for me to believe that someone is lucky for 2 months.
In a third-world country, that much money can be a good enough amount for you to live a luxurious life for about 2 to 3 months, and as OP mentioned, the money that he had won was big when converted to their local currency and that is probably the reason why he was able to do all that and still have some money left that he lost later.

He definitely didn't deserve that money and that is the reason why he couldn't sustain the success he was getting through gambling, we all know that gambling is not a way to earn money constantly, and if one is earning some, one should use it well and shouldn't start thinking that they will keep earning like that.
300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will you sell because of situations? on: April 28, 2023, 04:40:46 AM
If I find myself in a situation where I have such issues, I'll state that I must find a solution, perhaps by selling some of the coins I've long held onto.
But the most crucial thing is that you get that I can't contribute all of my resources. Although doing so will be more profitable, it'll probably be the stupidest course of action. We are always told to keep some cash on hand for situations like these, which are things we should be on the lookout for. In order to succeed and go far, you must secondly have a reliable source of income.
Just think about it for a moment, what will be the state of your mind if you get a call, you pick it up, and the person on the other side tells you that he is a kidnapper who has got your kid and wants 5 Bitcoin or the equivalent of that first thing tomorrow or your kid is dead? Now, you know that you have 5 Bitcoins stored somewhere safe.

Will you be able to think about everything else in that state or will just prioritize the life of your child? Unless you are a very careless and non-loving parent, you wouldn't even once think of anything else but will get ready to pay whatever is asked at any cost.
