281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Reflection on Security in Online Casinos on: August 10, 2024, 04:07:09 AM
My experience is somewhat the same as you OP. I still receive a few spam emails here and there, and mostly they're falsely marked as spam when it's an official email coming from a casino that I regularly use.

Also, the others are right, I wouldn't blame their security only because it was used through spam email. It's easy for the spammers to use any other name to lure people into their trap and in this case, they likely used it because lotteries usually have a decent reputation.

Now it is last chance for us. There is like nearly half an hour left for the game against The MongolZ. The current odds are literally the same on TrustDice, 1.85. Let's see who wins. The MongolZ can be unpredictable. While Eternal Fire have just lost an important game, they will look for a way to benefit from our condition. They beat us in the Skyesports tournament by 2-0 recently. This makes me concerned but we will see how things turn out.
This series was more competitive than expected, but the MongolZ still pulled through in the deciding map. I thought Eternal Fire should've won the series after they were up 8-4 in the first half of Nuke, then they started struggling in the T-side and almost lost in regulation. Eternal Fire's players put up some good numbers throughout the series, but it's not enough to win them the series as the MongolZ execution was just better when it got to those crucial rounds.

After every series yesterday went to all three maps, I think it's a good time to ride with the trend and i've picked Faze's series because they're not in their usual form after losing to G2 and NiP at the recent Blast tournament.

The bronze medal match at women's football ended with victory of Germany and Spain couldn't win any medal in that event.
Now, we don't need to wait for men's fooball final match to know the correct answer to the question number 6. The correct answer is NO and only 12 people predicted that correctly.
I finally got my first point after their loss, and we "no" backers were lucky for Germany's goalkeeper to clutch up during that moment.

The bookies have placed handicap margins at around 15-16, in BSFL it is 12,5. I think those with 52 or more take this one easily.
I hope you're right, on paper they could easily win by at least 20 points, but I also don't want to underestimate France as much.

PGL Wallachia Season 2: Southeast Asia Open Qualifier #1 is about to start today. There are no matches that I can see so far but this is just the first round until the closed qualifier starts. And after this #1 open qualifier, there will be two winners that shall proceed to the closed qualifier and then the #2 or round 2 starts for this open qualifiers.
More tier two teams competing this time since I see that Gaimin Gladiators and Aurora aren't included in the invited teams while Nouns and PSG.Quest got in.

Turned out Falcons won 2-0 against Alternate. Next one against BIG, I think Im going to bet on BIG to win and over 2.5maps on this one. Kinda wanna take a shot on -1.5 again but we'll see if I can get decent odds tomorrow
I'll ride with you on the over 2.5 maps, seems like it's the safest option when less than half of the play-in series ends on a clean sweep.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 09, 2024, 06:56:14 AM
The winner faces Complexity to make it to IEM Cologne. Complexity which has a ranking of #12 could be a tough opponent. I guess Complexity would be favoured by odds. I'm thinking of betting on EF if we make it there and if I see the odds at least 2.00.  Tongue
Yesterday, they lost against Complexity and the next match-up got more difficult as they'll now face the MongolZ who could send them packing once again.

The odds slightly favor Eternal Fire, but i'm backing the MongolZ to qualify since we could have another 2-0 series if Eternal Fire falls flat for the second time.

I also heard some rumors going around about Team Secret trying out new carry players as Crystallis won't be with the squad anymore.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: potential wining amount on tickets causes most addiction. on: August 09, 2024, 04:22:24 AM
1 does the potential wining amount on tickets causes addiction?
2 have you ever been disappointed after putting your hope on a running game to change your life  and the last game cut your ticket?
I can imagine someone treating their bet like it already won so i'd say yes, it's one of the many things that push gamblers into getting addicted and it's easy for gamblers to become greedy. I've seen parlays with very high odds and others would force themselves to add more matches until they end up with the exact payout they prefer.

It's common to feel bad after losing a parlay and treat it like your life is on the line, but I don't get too hung up on them because I only deposit what I can afford.
287  Other / Off-topic / Re: Risk or regret? (2) on: August 09, 2024, 01:01:17 AM
Going through a losing bet will always be more painful for me, even though it's usually easy to brush off one's losses and move on there are a few bad losses that I can always recall.

If I missed out on a life-changing bet, i'd only regret it for maybe a day at most and forget like it didn't happen because it's always easy to assume that you could be in that situation.

Or maybe it's because i've experienced a similar situation back then, but i'd still treat it the same regardless of the winnings.

289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we deposit crypto why our bet is in USD? on: August 07, 2024, 02:48:30 AM
I assume it's their way of bringing in convenience because they know we'll cash out our coins to USD once we're done for good and it eliminates the need for an internal exchange.

Despite the downside you've mentioned it still has a bunch of upsides that other users prefer, I also wasn't a fan of it at first, until I started converting my units to USD.

Having an option to pick between the two would be the best of both worlds, but I doubt it'll be a thing since casinos won't profit much from that feature.

Congratulations also to the top 4, I mean these 2nd-4th places we don't typically see them end this great or it's just because there's a split of good teams that the others were in China to compete for the Clavision? Still, great achievements!
I'd say the latter together with a hint of luck, still, it's always good to see tier two teams secure a good portion of a big prize pool because most Dota tournaments always have a bunch of tier-one teams invited except for this season's Elite League as a few teams got their visas denied.

it's just too bad that my bets have been always opposite with you guys but you did great!
I also didn't have the greatest time betting on the Elite League since Team Liquid can't have a clean win in most of their series and kind of gave up halfway through the playoffs.  Tongue

The wait was worth it for the water polo playoffs matchups, I almost gave a free advantage to my opponent if I submitted a few hours early.  Grin

Seeing our team name at the bottom of the standings is a nice motivation for a bounce back and hopefully, my luck against former Div 1 teams is still there.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tension that comes on the last game/s. on: August 06, 2024, 03:32:27 AM
It's always the last few legs from the parlay that cause the situation to be tense since the payout adds up when most of the legs are already marked as wins. It reminds me of the parlay ticket that I placed back then, and I used a free bet on it which meant I had nothing to lose, but still, the emotions got intense when it came down to the final leg.

Congrats on riding your parlay until the end, and you've made the right choice as it's not worth taking the juice from the cashout.

Personally, if I have a lot of bet selections combined, I don't bother watching them because I know the feeling and might not handle it well. I just check my bets after all the games have concluded to see if I've won.
It's the same for me, I mostly don't watch them because several legs start at the same time and it's too much if I watch every single stream.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2024, 01:22:26 AM
I was even sure that OG would win the tournament. They were top 1 on both Swiss Stage and Round Robin Stage. Nouns had lucky win against OG otherwise it would be a clean sweep before the playoff. Imagine that you play so good on those two rounds only to lose twice against Team Liquid and Execration then got knocked out of the tournament. It was so frustating to watch
I also can relate to your frustration, they're so clean throughout the first two stages only to crumble within the next two playoff series and I felt dumb betting on their side thinking they're too good to lose against Execration. Tongue

Yeah I wanna know how much will we get for the prizepool this year though
They'll probably put out another lite compendium the same as last time, and with the starting prize pool at $1.6m, it should reach $2m-$3m but it might not be big enough to beat the Riyadh Master's $5m prize pool.

So will Nigma with their progression be in time for The Internationals coming up in a months time?
It would be very sad if a team puts in so much effort into improving their game-play and not making it into a major tournament just because they hadn't made enough points during the season to make it in.
Sadly, no TI for Nigma Galaxy, they already failed in the WEU regional qualifiers last June and only reached the second round of the lower bracket before getting eliminated.

Even if they're not in one of the biggest tournaments, we could still see them compete again in a minor tournament like the upcomingFissure Universe 3(Play-In), if they get invited.

Heard some rumblings about League of Legends so is anyone placing bets on this esport lately?
Or it is all about DOTA2 now during this time of the summer?
I've placed a few bets recently, but my record is a disaster thanks to a few dominant teams that suddenly underperformed this Summer Split like T1 and JDG.

These two still the ones that have faced the finals. And guess what? 3-1 for Xtreme Gaming, they're able to beat Team Spirit in the grand finals. Way to go for Xtreme Gaming. A chinese tournament, of course they won't let a non-chinese team slide on this one.
Congratulations to Xtreme Gaming!!
After Nigma Galaxy took Team Spirit to a third map, I knew Xtreme Gaming would secure the win against Team Spirit since they've been shaky and the flex picks are next level from Xtreme Gaming, they always make it look easy.

There's also Team Liquid who barely edged 1win after a five-map series in the finals, we already saw it coming as they're the heavy favorites to win this tournament, but they still made it sweaty and i'm impressed with 1win's performance as I first thought it'd be an OG vs Team Liquid final.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does User Complaints of a casino in the Reputation board influence you on: August 05, 2024, 02:09:11 AM
Whenever I see new complaints posted on the reputation section, it doesn't affect my decision to stay or leave most of the time, if i'm having a good experience i'll continue to use them. There are always unfortunate users who can't have the same best experience as other users and casinos don't easily bend their rules to please everyone.

It's inevitable for casinos to receive complaints because most of them continue to grow and build their community. Still, I agree with the previous posts, they have to do damage control as these complaints could add up and damage their reputation.
297  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Casinos with Live Streams? on: August 04, 2024, 11:57:31 PM
500.casino also offers live streams on most sports. It's on auto-play once you open the match page, and the display resolution is initially small so you have to use the theater mode.

Same as the others, you need to be logged in before can view their live stream.

This is quite a huge achievement for the last two years
It only took one unfortunate turn of events and a few stand-ins to unleash their potential. Cheesy

The momentum is on their side heading to their series against Team Spirit, and I agree it's already impressive when the other teams they fought to make it here are no slouches either.

Some would argue that this is the beauty of dota2 esport because teams have to adapt as soon as the patches are dropped but for me I guess the reason is because Valve is not really affiliated on those tournaments. In some sense, those are 3rd party tournaments though so Valve probably wouldnt even bother to drop it according to their schedule. I bet they most likely wouldnt do so in their own affiliated tournament like TI, DreamLeague and ESL
Exactly, when DPC was still around, they used to drop it after the major tournaments, but now that the tournament's out of their hands there's no need to wait.

300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you already happy if you can double your money, or do you want more? on: August 04, 2024, 01:23:12 AM
Depending on the state of my session and the level of my happiness, if i'm on a hot winning streak i'm usually happy to the point that i'd withdraw what I deposited and spend the rest of what's left. There are also days when I struggle to profit, and still somehow pull it off with the help of luck, at that point i'm happy to withdraw everything and cool down for a few days or more than a week. I mostly gamble for fun, so for me, I always prioritize getting the most entertainment from my gambling money over earning a lot of profit.
