281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best telegram channels for bounties ? on: November 05, 2019, 05:15:58 PM
I would personally not recommend joining bounty channels just because they are managed by a well known bounty manager.

Instead, you should probably just head to the Altcoin (bounties) section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

Then arrange by newest, see which ones are managed by respectable bounty managers and investigate whether it is worth your time or not.

282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology "bottled" up on: November 05, 2019, 04:55:50 PM
Lol, Forrest vision is a company that offers media services, but can't even write a grammatically correct sentence.

"Business Insider broke the top story today suggesting that one of Coca Cola’s bottling partners"

Broke the top story ay?

How are you a writer exactly?
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin real or a meme? on: November 04, 2019, 09:56:12 PM
Well, Dogecoin actually originated as a meme based on the Shiba Inu meme. However, since its launch a few years ago it has become increasingly serious and less of a joke.

Dozens of websites now accept this so-called meme coin as payment, so it's definitely no joke anymore.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x July Update on: November 04, 2019, 09:44:28 PM
Has anybody actually checked how many viewers Publish0x actually generates per article?

I'd love to see whether the average (non-journalist) writer articles get more views on here versus something like Medium or Steemit.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is a Race For an Internet-Native Currency, and Bitcoin is Leading It. on: November 04, 2019, 03:36:02 PM
I would actually say that while Bitcoin is definitely doing well, it's not necessarily going to be the winner of this race.

There's a few projects that are really doing whatever they can to get their cryptocurrency into the hands of as many people as possible.

Tron has Bittorrrent and Opera integration, Basic Attention Token has Brave etc. We'll see if BTC can maintain its lead.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: November 04, 2019, 03:16:30 PM
The vast majority of projects certainly don't succeed.

The crazy thing is, there are well over 1,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap, with around 200 of these with a market cap in excess of $500k (I would argue this is the threshold for success).

The truth is, the vast majority of these projects were simply bought up in the 2017 bull run, they didn't have any intrinsic value, people ust speculated they would increase in value by virtue of the bull run (and most did).

However, these projects that lacked internal value are now being dumped by practically everyone, sending them into the abyss that is failure.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi 2 - Tabula Rasa Videos on: November 04, 2019, 03:08:42 PM
There's also another fake Satoshi that recently appeard called Jorg Molt, he was found at the SIMS convention at the Symbiosis International university recently claiming to be one of the original Bitcoin co-founders and in possession of over 250,000 BTC.

We should really stop paying these guys ANY attention unless they sign a message from the original satoshi private keys.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Fundamentals Are Going From Strength to Strength on: November 04, 2019, 02:21:36 PM
Its fundamentals were also going from strength to strength in 2018, when it dropped by over 70% to reach $3,000.

If you look at its hash rate, it has on the drastic uptrend for well over a year, which can mean that at least some of its fundamentals are completely unrelated to the price action.
289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do expert traders hide their loses? on: November 04, 2019, 01:25:23 PM
So-called expert traders do not share their secrets. If they have been wildly successful with cryptocurrency trading, why on earth would they share their trades?

A hugely successful trader can turn $10,000 into $1 million within a year. But these guys want the tiny subscription amounts? Hogwash.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know any online bitcoin wallet that gives you a debit card? on: November 04, 2019, 12:59:54 PM
Plenty of wallet companies offer a Bitcoin debit card, however most of these will not actually allow you to directly spend your Bitcoin at a store.

Instead, you'll need to access your wallet via your phone, exchange your BTC to USD or in your case South African Rand, and then you can use your card to pay.

Some of the major ones are found here: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-debit-card/

Be sure the check the list of eligible countries.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt has traded only 7 BTC so far on: November 04, 2019, 12:30:35 PM
Looks like Bakkt has come a huge way since only trading 7 BTC worth of futures in the first day.

Nowadays the estimation bot predicts that Bakkt will sell at least 200 BTC worth of contracts in a day, while some estimates are over 1,000 BTC in a day.

Looks like physically delivered bitcoin isn't such a failure after all.
292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons why I am buying Bitcoin!! on: November 04, 2019, 12:19:02 PM
Probably a smart bet to buy Bitcoin in the early months of next year, Bitcoin doesn't usually start increasing in value until just a few months before the block reward halving.

Buying it now means you might not get it at the very best price. Though, I doubt it matters since it should go up between now and then anyway.
293  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I trust freebitco.in? on: October 31, 2019, 08:13:32 PM

294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Localethereum - wallet export problem on: October 17, 2019, 10:38:37 PM
I did not see this page before. Thank you I will give it good read.
What I am trying to achieve is a simple offline wallet to serve as my cold wallet as well as my localethereum linked wallet that I can connect and sell any time I want. I don't like the idea of having to link metamask which is browser based and since I travel to a lot of places. I want a simple laptop to serve as my wallet.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Localethereum - wallet export problem on: October 17, 2019, 08:08:39 PM
Localethereum offers separate wallet for each user? How is it possible because they even collecting less fee compared to local bitcoin as far as I know. You can ask their customer support to resolve this issue on both sides but I suggest you to simply move the funds rather than importing because we cannot sure that our private keys are only know to us.

Don't ask stupid questions just to fulfill your signature campaign quota.

why you don't just use metamask?
because right now i use metamask to register in the localethereum and it went smoothly

None of your business. Why I use or not use is my preference. Does that mean I can't ask question about thing that is n not working the way it is supposed to?

As per my knowledge, Localethereum doesn't have a local representative.
You could try to ask them through their contact form: https://localethereum.com/contact
It's a strange problem and I'm also curious about the reason.

Can you guys please quit being so stupid? with stupid replies. If you don't know answer be quiet please. Dont pollute my thread.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Localethereum - wallet export problem on: October 17, 2019, 11:44:23 AM
okay thank you for trying to help me. If someone knows the official representatives of localethereum maybe ask them? They have a telegram group.
I will log in and ask there as well, maybe I will get some answers.
it is more like wallet import problem than export problem...
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Localethereum - wallet export problem on: October 17, 2019, 08:44:43 AM
I heard about this Localethereum from this signature campaign that was conducted here. So I try their platform. Pretty good. I love the fact that i can export my own wallet addresses and even the main wallet but I discovered a little bug maybe some of you experts can help decipher this.

Well through account settings they give you option to export your wallet json file. But when I try to use MyCrypto wallet to import that Json file it asks for password but I have no password.
Again when I try to import that wallet to myetherwallet it does not work and asks for a password on the new version of myetherwallet on the old version it says invalid file. Can anyone tell me what I do wrong here? I prefer local wallet opening solution that is on my laptop not on browser.
298  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠ Fair.Poker | Provably Fair Bitcoin Texas Hold’em | HTML5 | Play Now! on: October 16, 2019, 04:49:17 AM
Saw this site when you posted about the affiliate program last week.
Hopped on this morning and there was nobody playing. As the poster above said, you need to find a way to get more players.
Either through sig campaign or something. Because if the table is empty people are just going to come in wait for a few minutes and leave to go somewhere where there are players.

-Dave

Def not a sig campaign.  Not yet...  Sig campaigns are good complementary promotional campaigns, not as your main campaign to get new players in.

I'd suggest a BBJ at small - medium stakes (25NL to 200NL USD equivalent) with the the site's 70% RB.  And no rake at nano stakes (2NL USD equivalent).  Attract the small fry to attract other small fries by the numbers and make that the foundation of the site.  The better players could move up from there and build up the economy for higher stakes which could attract action and bring outside players in at the same time if the traffic is decent.

Sig campaigns are ineffective when done for short bursts or with lack of funds. But if you have the intent and the budget to push for a proper marketing campaign then you need to push for a guerilla campaign. You suggestion of small fries bringing in small fries is like trickle down economy. Good in writing not in practicality.
299  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BLOCKCHAIN WALLET SERVICE ERROR on: October 16, 2019, 04:29:11 AM
I remember getting a similar error once when I was behind a vpn at a hotel. I scratched my head all day and I had to send payment. But I could not find a way to solve it. Maybe try to switch your network or close vpn and try again?
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [~1 BTC Bounty] on: October 16, 2019, 04:10:44 AM
I am curious to know guys. How can pool operator dictate which blocks get mined? As far as I know they are not in control of the individual and independent miners. Would the miners get any block reward if they include this non standard segwit transaction?

you can split bitcoin network into two parts: miners and nodes.
a miner is just a hardware (ASIC) that has computing power. the only thing they do is "calculate" (perform hashes) nothing else. but they connect to a node to receive the data they should hash. the node decides which transaction it should give the miner.
now a mining pool is a server that is running a node and the miners connect to in order to share the work. that pool/node decides which transaction to mine. for example they decide to only include transactions that are paying 2 satoshi/byte at least, another one could decide to include 0 satoshi/byte,... they could also decide which non-standard transaction to include in the blocks.
in all cases when a miner shares the work and they find a block they receive their share of the reward no matter what they mined (as long as the block was valid of course).

Thank you for explaining that. I am not a very technical person when mining concerned so I was very confused. I would have given you some merit but since you are already high rank I think you can do without it.
