282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate List of Exit Scams & How to Spot One on: October 23, 2019, 09:58:49 AM

Did you experience being scammed in one of these?

No, that a victim of anyone of those scammers because I don't just invest on some projects with a big hype. The problem with those victims are they are thinking of big returns, huge ROI in short amount of time that's why they fall for this kind of traps.

Just like Centra, wherein Floyd Mayweather and other celebrities did endorsed it, so many irrational buyers jump on the bandwagon and it's too late that they found out that it was a scam.
FOMO's really attract investors who are not carefully doing their research, hoping that they will get something big in returned they just quickly follow those hypers and become a victim of those scam developer.
Good thing to read and examine all those information about how to quickly spot scam projects, by seeing one of those in criteria you can easily stay away.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Selection of coins, your thoughts? on: October 23, 2019, 09:21:53 AM
The 8-11 coins, I don't know more about them so if you will ask me if you should remove them, well I say yes. And in what coin you should invest the money that you'll get from those?

Add more with bitcoin.

Why you don't have Ethereum?
Same question with ETH, not sure why OP didn't bothered to buy this coin since from the list on the top projects around the market ETH is following BTC.

For whatever reason, maybe if OP still have spare money he can add ETH as part of his portfolio, since the value of this coin is down more than from it's last time high, when bounce happened to this market ETH will bring great benefits to its holders.
Maybe OP has his own reason, something like he disregard ETH because he sees disadvantages of ethereum, like for having too many platforms or such as that.
But maybe OP may consider if he realizes that ethereum is a good altcoin to invest, he has a great portfolio maybe he might think of it.
Yes, maybe he's got the reason why but seeing his previous comment he's now willing to add ETH.

OP's are looking for good reasons why he should continue, or if he needs to backdown with his current holdings.
It's important that investors have actual knowledge with the projects that they've intended to invest their money.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 23, 2019, 08:12:29 AM
The volatility will not make people are a worry. It will not stop people from investing in bitcoin because they know that the volatility is part of the price itself. The company will think that, and they will have another solution to prevent volatility. They can accept the other coins. For example, they can accept stable coins like usdt, usdc, and else. I am sure when bitcoin already accepted in all countries, there will be a solution to solve the volatility matter. But to see bitcoin acceptance in all countries, it will need time, and it needs approval too from every government.
Approval from government will be the turning point making bitcoin being accepted all over the world. We just seen small numbers in terms of full adoptions but the fact that it's already being exist, implementations can happen if government will begin to consider this system.

Looking forward, Bitcoin will exist and be an alternative to existing fiat.
285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: October 23, 2019, 06:11:07 AM
Saving is the relatively safer option. With the way the FDIC insures funds, you can't really lose your money if the bank goes under or something happens. You're covered by the government. Investing makes more money in the long run if done correctly. But, it can be relatively dangerous if you invest in the wrong asset. It's a matter of risk versus reward. The more the risk, the more money you end up making. Basically, the same goes for crypto trading as well.
Exactly. The matter of knowing what to do with your money and what is your goals, if you have a good money management skills and you are keen in learning the process of growing your initial assets instead of keeping it from the banks or from your safe box. Investing is the best options which can lead you to received more, proper research of business that you'll going to invest your money is very necessary in order to find beneficial venue of investing your money.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: October 23, 2019, 04:32:01 AM
When the bait is obvious, never take it. The whole reason behind scammers giving good offers is to attract investors and make them give away their money. Whenever the reward is extraordinary sweet, just skip it. In my opinion, it is not scammers but the person who is scammed to be blame as he must be smart enough to not get caught into such tricks. Choose the best options like bitcoin or ethereum.
Like the too good to be true explanations and returns, don't bite it and don't fall for the trap. Those coins that you've said are the best coins to invest, these scammers will eventually realize that when most of the investors are aware of their existence and they can no longer fool the majority, they will try harder or just leave us alone but as long as there are soft investors that are biting those baits and always think about too big rewards, they will stay.
It's all about lying falling to this sweet promises will turned to sucking all your investment. Never to fall or believe in any kind of those promises.

You need to work with good knowledge and understand the reason why you will going to invest your money. Many people fall because of lack of information
with project and just dive in without understanding.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your token's on: October 22, 2019, 04:48:19 PM
Without saying much, the safest way to protect your tokens is by using a hardware wallet. In situations where you can't afford the hardware wallet, keep the private keys of your app or web wallet safe, do not share it, because it is a sensitive information. Avoid clicking on phishing sites.

So far, thats the only way viable today. Buy a hardware wallet if you can,its portable and convenient. Back up your private keys onpaper, laminate it and keep it in a safe place, a vault if you have. Much better if your private key is not on your personal computer, just only use it if need arise. Just leave some funds on your exchanges for daily trading, and keep all tokens on your hardware wallet, that way you are not always/frequently retrieving your funds on your hardware wallet.
Keep it safe in the eyes of anyone, hardware wallet will help you to be more protected as long as you will not share any information and you will avoid using your system online.

Protecting your assets needs you to make more extra effort in finding ways to add security not just to relied with what is available but to extend to find more ideas.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to NEO and ICX? on: October 22, 2019, 11:34:42 AM
NEO which is said to be the leading cryptocurrency in China and ICX for Korea hasn't really been trending recently even with development updates. I've come to realise that most altcoins see price spikes because of hype especially from influencers or upcoming news or market manipulation and not  how great the project is. I've been following NEO and ICX and I'm really impressed with those projects, but their development updates  doesn't affect price positively. What could be the reason behind this? I will like to hear your opinions if you still believe in those projects.

The massive pump in price for NEO and ICX was during the last altcoin season, when influencers like suppoman and ilan balina will chill coins and boom the price spikes up. Those two projects are great, I'm holding some NEO anyway and I have some ICX on VELIC exchange where I benefit from staking.  I really hope the prices of these coins tally with their development progress in future, holders should just be patient.
Those days where massive pumped can happen after some hypes being done by known personalities inside this industry, but since investors nowadays are already learning how to pick project to invest, there's no magical words that will pumped any alts from this current season. Same with all those known coins
this two projects are also waiting for the bull market to bounce back and regained momentum.

290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why i prefer mining and investing in ICO/IEO on: October 22, 2019, 10:35:24 AM
I will also prefer to build a mining setup than to invest in ico if I have high capital. There are investors that became tich because of mining, there is a opportunity in mining because we can have passive income from it.
That would happened if you are not paying any electrical bills or you have the low cost for electricity in your country. Mining is not friendly to those who resides where electric bills is high, as mining rewards is not that profitable anymore. Though if you are in the long term investment plan and you can keep paying for the cost of your mining while waiting for the value of your coins to pumped high then go and build your rigs.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Shitcoin should we hold now? on: October 22, 2019, 09:58:30 AM
Maybe I am considering more about shitcoin that you support, maybe you should first see developments for the future because many of us are not sure about shitcoin they prefer altcoin that already has potential and this includes me, you better watch out before everything will be regrets deep, indeed all altcoin and shitcoin have risks but it would be nice if we choose a coin that has been convincing.
That's right, I agree that for now we have to hold altcoin that has good potential in the future, because not all altcoins have potential in the future, and altcoins that don't have potential in the future are shitcoin, so the name shitcoin is not good for saved and not good to have.
The result is obvious which is loss if we will hold a shitcoins. The roi of most shitcoins are -90% and up. Potential altcoins are the coins that we have in portfolios for us to have good investment.
Pumpers might help those risky investors who will buy shitcoins, there's existing groups who loves sharing early tips using shit coins and make some 'buy orders to make some movements. Failure to research and review information about those projects will lead you into a trapped.
You already knows the consequence since it's mentioned that it is a shitty project, there's no one to blame if you fail and got stuck to this trap.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With this possibly upcoming crisis in mind... on: October 22, 2019, 08:59:31 AM
Today i was reading somewhere that G20 has been considering comprehensive policy about stable coins, if they do legalize and regularize them soon i think sooner or later crypto is coming to the mainstream as well because stablecoins are also crypto form of fiat/money so next step will definitely be crypto adoption.
It's this the Calibra thing? not sure but I've heard from the news that there's a lots of government institutions who are considering this stable coin to co-exist with fiat system. If this will finalize and make the impressions it will bring more exposures with crypto market.

Things might be different once this stable coin will be accepted worldwide.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine President a pro-cryto president on: October 22, 2019, 04:58:18 AM
I think everyone should understand that the President has "plans", so it's not yet implement or something. So I don't know what members are saying that it is legalised already or something to that effect, Lol. Of course this is a good news, but we have seen this kind of media attention before, like Russia, who says that they are pro crypto, but in the end, it's the complete opposite. So let's wait and see how it goes.
Which is much better to look for the brighter side of this news though there's no actual statement yet that its been implemented but the fact that the person is not against the system already give good hopes for this nation to be added with crypto lover society.
If being legalize the citizens will enjoy the benefits of using crypto as an additional payment processing system.
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: October 22, 2019, 04:22:10 AM

On Dec 17th, it reached its high of $20k, and it has taken almost a month and we're still below those numbers.  What is your estimate for when we can be above $20k again and onward to what people predict for this year ($50k-$100k)?  Another month?  March?

I expect that to happen next year. Another surge that will push to a new ATH high is possible to happen but not in this year. The halving and more adoption will happen soon because in 2017, not good numbers of people knew bitcoin but now is all over the media and social gatherings.
The bull that will bring the price to that level needs to have more supports and not just the hypes of halving but real adoptions and daily usage for the demands to create more pressures.

You need to have a lots of patience waiting and more spare money to keep buying to enjoy maximum benefits.
295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i failed in day trading on: October 21, 2019, 03:17:29 PM
I'm not afraid to fail because for me failing is a way for me to learn new information. Failing for me means that I need to improve something. You can minimize your losses in day trading if you will improve your skills.
Keep enhancing your skills will help you to improve your chance of getting good outcomes, failing from the start if you are keen to learned will helps you to keep on trying, there's no accurate calls or exact position from each day that you'll going to participate with this business, all you can do is to anticipate and keep trying much harder. Don't be afraid if once you lose your investment, keep yourself up and be positive that in anyhow you'll be able to catch it up and get into the game with positive outcomes.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 02:48:41 PM
No, when you say people, you are referring to the majority of people who enter in crypto and loss interest afterwards.
I am not seeing that scenario, people or majority of them are still loving crypto, why I said that? what's my basis?

its simple, look at the bitcoin trading volume, its still high with $15 billion .
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets
Comparatively right majorities speak by themselves and that's how the graph stated, there's no point of claiming things which is not accurately deal with the actual situations. If there's people who quit and leave this sphere most of them are those who are not really engaged to this industry, most of them are weak holders who are just here thinking that they can easily grab quick benefits.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly City on: October 21, 2019, 02:13:55 PM
Going through the entire list of bitcoin friendly cities each and every city is much advanced and a well planned cities. Following this we can expect more other small cities to follow and make the city get advanced. It is true that more the number of merchants accepting bitcoin, more will be the chance of getting into the top list of bitcoin friendly cities. ATM's in large number also gives awareness about the use of bitcoin, but the usage of these ATM's were very low.
I agree since those big cities who are now engaged with bitcoin transactions there's  a big chance that even small towns will also begin to acknowledge adopting this system. It's good to see that there's already a well established cities who are bitcoin friendly, this steps can open doors to many opportunities in terms of adoptions.
Business sectors are the one that will generate more potential to users of bitcoin having more open minded businesses will make this chain very useful.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO not forced you to hold their token on: October 21, 2019, 01:05:04 PM
One big reason why I still support binance launchpad is the potentials that the process will allow me to earned If I do win slot from the lottery, even I need to hold their coin, there's  a big chance that the value of those coin will rise while waiting for the launchpad to finished, I do have the impressions that I'm investing both from the IEO and the coin itself that binance is working around this market.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: October 21, 2019, 12:07:32 PM
You are very lucky to have been in the game for so long, i have been in it for 2,5 to 3 years. I got in it just before the bull market started but i did not rush in it unfortunately so I did not make a lot of money out of it. I wish i would have started my research 6 months earlier.
Oh well that's everybody's wish to be here much earlier, Though it's not the bull season now but you are still in the game so chances still there for you to maximize every opportunities that will open for you.

Make yourself more active and surely it will you more engaged and hopefully you'll gained  whatever your heart desire from this industry.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: October 21, 2019, 10:33:43 AM
A thing is either a store of value or it isn't, there's not really any halfway state. I think he means that he's partially convinced that bitcoin is a store of value, i.e. he has reservations about it, i.e. he is backtracking partially on previous statements.

Bitcoin is a store of value, it's just that there are several issues at the moment that prevent being as good a store of value as gold or even USD. Not least of which is the price volatility.

Bitcoin treated as store value of assets same with how investors treated gold or those precious gems. Investors find this place as a good venue to invest money.

There's still discussions about the real value since it's still not being embrace by most government around the world, but once being labelled for sure it will bring more price movements, rise will happen along the way.
