281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: June 30, 2017, 05:19:07 PM
This interview series is about the people who work hard to develop decentralized applications on top of Ethereum.
Especially for gambling dapps of vdice.io enjoy reading it will get more knowledge about application on ethereum's blockchain
Interview with ethstatus blog, check out the link :
https://blog.status.im/ethereum-dapp-creators-issue-08-vdice-69601e15a915

Great Sharing bro. Really nice information in terms of development of Vdice and blockchain. Also I liked there on  how vDice can be  benefit from a mobile user interface and much more. Worth reading.  Smiley

Mobile user may more effective for introducing to new people since more people prefer to watch advertising on mobil rather than TV or newspaper especially in this digital era

Vdice to be compatible with mobile and an app of such sort can be great move and it will capture the major shares of the market as all the teenagers prefer to be online on Mobile 24 hrs and this trend has been most popular in Asia. Just like games so popular on mobile, gambling can be even more successful on this platform.
282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be Careful With Pumping Groups on: June 30, 2017, 05:04:52 PM
If the group is legit, then you would rather be on the inside of that curve than the outside, but that is something that can be controlled by a single membership.  We have controlled the groups using that method.  Our own trading groups have a single member inside the most powerful pumping groups to bring that information out into our group, so we know what they are doing.
283  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do u get a place that has the electricity requirements to start mining? on: June 30, 2017, 04:41:44 PM
So far, the rental places i found all have something like 40 amp maximum load in the room. With 40 amp at 230volts, that means around 9200 watts only, about 6-7 antminer S9s can be used. Not very attractive considering the rental amount.

U guys ask the landlord permission to modify it somehow?

Where are you?  That must be some other country because there is no place here that can control the amps going into your unit and room or whatever.  The worst that I have seen here is a sublet situation where they might kick you out or raise your rent if the end of the month showed a high electric bill, but that is it.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamoto or Anonymous(Hacking group) on: June 30, 2017, 03:56:21 PM
What are you talking about?  Satoshi was and still is a person and always will be.  The fact that he wrote a program or collection of code does not mean that the is some magical enitity, he is a person and that is all there is to it.  Others may pose as him, but that does not change the existence of him in the first place.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening? on: June 30, 2017, 03:34:59 PM
Almost every coin is up double digits. Why?

I think people are looking for bitcoin alternatives and investing in other Alts to gain benefits

After the block size is increased, the price of bitcoin will rise a lot.

You actually think there are people sitting there and waiting to buy for the block size change?  Or is it the magic that will make those that are completely uncaring or unaware about Bitcoin and will once the magic powder of the block szie is changed they will suddenly know about Bitcoin and buy many more?
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: June 30, 2017, 03:26:03 PM
Offline wallets are obviously much better that online wallets in nearly every single aspect. The main advantage of offline wallets is that they are extremely secure compared to online wallets. If you have a lot of Bitcoin and wish to store them in a single wallet, I would recommend a Hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano. If you can't afford hardware wallets, then you could use Electrum. The website to download Electrum is here: https://electrum.org/#download

Personally, I would recommend you to split your Bitcoin among separate wallet. Thus your coins are much more secure as all your money is not accessible in one spot.

The problem with separating your coins that way is that even if your coins are safer from thieves by following that safety measure, now you are more at risk of forgetting the seed or the password of your wallet, or losing your paper wallet or the device in which you have stored your coins, so like you see everything has advantages and disadvantages.

Well, maybe there is an advantage to not using the offline wallet if you are too stupid to live.  I have not met too many people that are going to lose the key to their funds.  You would have to be pretty dumb to do that, especailly knowing the funds would be lost forever if you did so.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: let's invent cryptocurrencies killer. on: June 28, 2017, 05:40:18 PM
If you are following a step by step from the internet or here, learn to read the errors that the system gives you and modify to fix them.  Older tutorials have lines that refer to the software at the time.  If you are going to code a coin, then realizing that when the command line spits back that X 8.0 is not installed and you just installed X 10.0, then you change the line that referred to the old version.
288  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful.com Moderators stealing people Bitcoins Codedly, Scam and Fraud Site on: June 28, 2017, 02:57:08 PM
You broke the rules and they got you, end of story.  I like the fact that you posted everything you did so that you cannot turn around later and claim that you were in the right.  You were wrong, you broke their rule and it costs you money, that is the way of the world and that is a perfect thing.

Edit: By analysis again, i suspect Paxful.com is a scam site.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: June 28, 2017, 12:43:45 PM
I think ETH devs said an update would be launched so up to 8 big ICO's could run without ruining the network for some days at least, has it been implemented already?

How to know if the ETH network is congested or not Huh

Is it already safe to use the network to bet on vDice?

As far as the news is concerned, ETH issue has been resolved and everyone can safely bet on Vdice using the ETH.
Many projects were stuck as ETH blockchain was not working for the past few days but thnanks god everything is back to normal now.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] VOISE - BOUNTY CAMPAIGN FINISHED on: June 28, 2017, 12:33:25 PM
Sir please change my ETH addresse. unfortunately submited coinbase ETH wallet. my new wallet is 0x8807aF0Bca19ee4D79dF40B23ac2f442d42569d2

my position
twitter: 580
telegram: 177

The bounty distribution is already over and if you did not receive it means you were disqualified from the campaign.

Mistakenly I gave my coinbase exchanger wallet. that's why I did not receive my VSM. it's my mistake.  Cry

In that case, you should learn from your first mistake and never to provide exchange address during when investing or participating in some kind of bounty program. We have a lot of ETH based projects coming up this year and many have lost their value tokens due to this issue.

In the end, the dev or business manager has at least shown that they can follow through for a period of time and hang in there.  There are always some issues and speed bumps, but this shows that they have gotten past some things and into the future.  I do not see exchanges being in there, but that can go either way.
291  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware of new scam giga watt miner hosting on: June 28, 2017, 11:58:37 AM
The other watchful group are the miners.  They are literally waiting and watching for different new coins and mining them the moment they are out there.  Some of these simply belong to multiple pools and watch those, others watch the forums and still others watch sites like github.

Just like what Edgeless will soon offer, they have included sports betting in their white paper.
I'm sure if you add that game it will be more fun, sport betting industry is a very big market, we should be looking at this kind of improvement.
THIS! I don't know whether Edgeless will be meet its obligations about sport betting, but this would be awesome.
I read gambling section of Bitcointalk everyday - DirectBet is now closed, and people are desperately seeking alternatives where they could bet without account.
vDice might get the jackpot here if they would release a their own sportsbook.

I also think that entering the sports betting market and that too with ETH also is a good project and it will surely be a success one as their is no eth sports betting site apart from directbet which is shut down now.

If someone comes with a similar concept like directsite and if they manage to gain a community trust then they can surely make a lot of money from this business. As of now, no one has filled up that gap and many players are eagerly waiting for directbet replacement site including me.

A sportbook would be more difficult to create. You need some odd provider, and some results may be wrong and you'll need more support staff too. Bets may take too long to settle and people may be annoyed, etc...

But the rewards would be worth, considering how popular Directbet was and

Yes, initially it will be a difficult task for all newbies but with the good technical team and good marketing knowledge still, can make it. It also needs a good amount of investment but if someone takes that risk and come up with the good site then surely they will make a good profit from this business.

Vdice is having a big technically good knowledge team and even they are in this gambling market with good users base so i think if they itself build a sports betting site then they can get success immediately as their are so many users who are waiting for the directbet type of site to come in the market and they can bet on it.

I dont think directbet can come back again. They have been permanently closed. Vdice can provide users with sports betting feature making the people who are willing to play sports betting, should use VDice if they start sports betting feature.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is about to take over Bitcoin on: June 28, 2017, 06:39:38 AM
Both of these groups should be ignored and possibly attacked with the tar and feathers.  There are normal things that occur when a change is coming in a coin and the only information that bears being said is that the signals are that the coin is going to survive the first phase of the changes and that is what it is.  Good for those that care about ETH and neutral for the rest.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central Banks Intend To Fight CryptoCurrencies on: June 27, 2017, 06:59:17 AM
Banks, as a consumer business have a limited life span.  Most of their services are covered by another business outside of them at this point.  The best thing for them to do would to be get into the crypto world and embrace that and provide background services.  We would deny them because this is a decentralized world and they would provide too much of a central connection, but they could try.

It may be that they are going to become a more business oriented service structure, who knows, but their time as they have been is coming to an end.  Direct deposit bought them several years, as many people felt that they needed a bank account to get paid, the prepaid debit cards killed that and the services that banks are needed for are becoming very limited.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Where to mine with quick pay out? on: June 25, 2017, 08:07:19 PM
You are paid on your contribution to the pool as shares, but they are a couple different ways it can be done.  Proportional pay should put a payment amount into your mining pool account each time a block is found or solved.  That is usually around 15-20 minutes, but they have been very long in the past and there are always quick blocks too.
296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Cloud Mining? on: June 25, 2017, 07:56:18 PM
Mining can make money and most give up without diving in far enough or altering their business model, but these groups shift the loss to the consumer rather than rethink the mining.  A strong farm can make just under the cost or just over the cost if configured right for Bitcoin and that is not getting anyone anywhere.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: mynxt.info? on: June 24, 2017, 10:32:06 PM
does it normally take a long time to 'add nxt account' after hitting the submit button?
i've been waiting over 45 minutes now for it to decrypt my nxt client wallet so I can view my nxt assets in mynxt.info, going to bed, guess I'll find out in the morning when I get up  Smiley

are there instructions on how to do this?  is the master password the mynxt.info master or my nxt client login password or?

Hi, mrsray

check this instructions: Accessing your MyNxt Wallet accounts in the Nxt Client.

If your problem persist or you need more support, go to nxtchat #helpdesk , and ping the nxters  Smiley

-Luis.

There were some major glitches the whole past 48 hours and no one has even gotten close to trying to explain anything with something besides the normal rhetoric.  It is most likely just a surge and clog issues, but you would think that mynxt would at least mention that things are fine.  It is one of the few quick ways into NXT for the first time, otherwise we would go nowhere near that site.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AdsCash value is growing - How far can it go? on: June 24, 2017, 08:51:00 AM
I can understand that crypto ad sites needed to be made and there are plenty of those, but why a specific token for just that?  The one thing that I respect about tokens is the creator at least had to come up with some funds before creating it.  A coin can be thrown together for free, the ETH tokens have to paid for, like most tokens and that shows a little vestment in their idea.
299  Economy / Reputation / Re: xibeijan's reputation thread on: June 24, 2017, 05:47:30 AM
Why are you posting this?  Do you think that the world and the forum is waiting for your words on the reputation of a person?  You guys are so arrogant and you don't see it at all.  True research would show you that this guy is very active at other locations and anyone that is going to deal with him/her should check those out.
300  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] - Redeemed 0.001 BTC Prypto Card on: June 24, 2017, 05:23:46 AM
You might have to give it a little time though.  These things and other collectables have a limited interest group, but they will buy it.  Lucky you are in the right place and it should happen pretty quick.  Count on a 24 hour period for most of the active members to come and go and see what happens.
