I was all set to buy 2, had been chatting with him over PM. Then I asked for escrow and/or copies of a drivers license, etc. and he went quiet. I've seen him online at least 3 times today since my last PM was sent, nothing. I'm still game for the 2 we talked about, but gotta have some form of buyer protection in this game. Obvious scammer. Same deal. He was like "hurry I will mail it now"... Fat chance. Dropped the price to 17BTC. Suuuuuure..... |

It sucks, it served well for me. I hope an adventurous investor will show up and take this on.
Also, I haven't done any calculations, but my feeling is, when charging 1.9% per trade, they should be able to make this profitable or at least have prospects to so. Maybe they had regulatory issues?
With as much at bitmit has been down despite having cloudflare and all the rest the question becomes how much of a PITA does the current owner want to deal with? Look he has been in BTC a long time. He's probably made enough (hopefully) to move on to other things without dealing with all the problems runnning a BTC site like bitmit poses. I'm very sad as I both bought and sold ASICs on bitmit. Seemed like a slick no-brainer escrow system. Thanks hackers & DDOS script kiddies. "This is why we can't have nice things!" |

Would you take 3.5 BTC + shipping Well thanks all for the fun guys! I started out with 11 mini's and I am finally down to the last two I intend to keep. All were sold via bitmit, locals, or direct BTC payment for the prices listed +/- 10%. I do have to say I wish I didn't have to create a "self moderated" thread to keep out the low lifes here but some people just have no class and can't resist being part of the trash-talking-sell-it-to-me-now-for-50%-off-it-will-never-roi crew... Could do 7.8 BTC plus split shipping 50/50 as its going to be over $100 per box to ship. I just estimated Germany @ $332 for DHL or $112 for US Postal Service 3-5 day (or $84 if you want to wait 2 weeks  ) PER BOX so it probably would be similar. But I digress I really do not want to deal with international. |

any idea when you will of fixed the new Avalon firmware as I noticed Bad next to it
I'm a bit worried because I didn't change anything from how I usually built firmware and it was fine for me, yet it was bad for the 2 users who tried it, so until I can figure out what the actual issue was, I won't release a newer one. ck - Always been a huge fan of your releases, thanks for all the great work! I had a buddy just upgrade his to the latest release no issue, I was about to until I saw the -bad also... Is it just not coming back up on restart for people or  He says he gets better performance with the new firmware so I really wanted to try it probably will do so tomorrow on one of the minis since it sounds like we can still recover. Anyone else tried it with either success or fail? |

Long time Avalon owner. Always had an issue on my Batch 2/3 4 module where if I oc'd too much I would get a decrease in GH eventually (sometimes 20-40%). Run those @ 335 (auto 325-335) 24/7 around 107GH and they maybe restart cgminer once or twice a week but never slow down. Really loved the 20130821 firmware. So I now have 7 minis running (stock 20130723), and let me tell you now 2-3 of them have so far had this issue where they slow down to under 30GH as low as 4GH or so? GAH! Changed the worst two to 20130821 and will see. However I am disappointed, it appears the --avalon-auto option doesn't work? (currently set 350 clock on page with these options: --quiet --avalon-auto --avalon-temp 50 --avalon-cutoff 70 --avalon-freq 350-375 ) < Those settings never show above 350 on the status page. Setting 375 manually works. |
