281  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are You a Cell Phone Addict? on: May 05, 2019, 10:24:17 AM
You can live without a mobile phone today, 25 years ago only a few people needed a mobile phone, now everyone has at least one. I use my phone to read the news and watch the latest bitcoin price.
Most of us are feeling dyimg once they don't have phones or internet because they routine now is using cellphone. I believe to the people who live before because they can become happy their selves even they don't have cellphone they spend their time to work and talking to their family or bonding everyday not like today.

Let's just say that cellphones have become a necessity nowadays and it's hard to determine if working on your phone most of the day is an addiction or not. We have apps that has become part of our work, used as communication with families and friends, used for health snd entertainment etc. Some can be pointed out as addiction but not for everyone.
282  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who's your favorite pornstar? on: May 05, 2019, 08:00:06 AM
I do not have any portnstar favorite Im contented to my girlfriend. But most of the my classmates their favorite pornstar is Mia khalifa I think it is one of the famous or popular porn start in the last few years because they have a lot of videos Im not fan of her but most of the boys she know it.

Are you stating though that having a favorite pornstar means you're not contented with your girlfriend or wife? I don't think so. It's the same as having a favorite actor or actress in hollywood, only they portray different roles lol. My girlfriend doesn't mind me watching porn and having preferred actresses. Mine would have to be sora aoi though she's moved on from the porn industry and just delivered her first child. Thanks for the memories maam 😆😆😆
283  Other / Off-topic / Re: where you are spending your most of time on: May 05, 2019, 07:45:41 AM
Most of the time I spend at home on freelancing. Probably 3/4 of all free time.

I've been doing the same thing, but for less periods of time, since I'm starting, I think it's very productive,
because you own your own work and set the times to deliver, the only pressure is that of oneself.
Yeah me too. Also makes your schedule more flexible to do other things  in a day. It also allows be to have more time both in the forums and browsing through social media. Between the two though, it varies depending on my mood for the moment. There are times when i feel more  like browsing through the forums and participating in discussions while there also are times when i like ti peep in to what new happenings are taking place in facebook 😁😁😁
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crypto Millionaires on: May 01, 2019, 01:57:33 PM
This list could be vastly improved tbh...

These guys have a list of who the top-100 crypto millionaires are and what they've done so far:

https://cryptotradernews.com/millionaires
thanks, added it to the first post

Just wondering though. With all the millionnaires bitcoin and crypto has produced, can we really account for the names of the actual top 100? I mean there could be some who chose not to disclose their identities for personal and security purposes right?
285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Keep religious beliefs personal to promote peaceful coexistence on: May 01, 2019, 01:50:26 PM
I think when it comes to religion, it can't be avoided. There's hardly any compromise when people talk about their beliefs. As long as we can't overlook which god is the real one, there will always be divisions among us. At this time and i age, you would have thought that we're already beyond religious squabbles but no, sadly there will always be those that will force their beliefs in others.
286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mental health awareness friends on: May 01, 2019, 01:36:35 PM
RIP

Do you guys know if we have members that are mental health professionals? Surely we can cheer each other up and provide moral support in this thread but it would be really helpful if there are people who know how to properly address issues such as depression.

As mentioned by others early in this thread a lot of people that suffer from depression is because a lack of money.  I doubt anyone here is willing to just hand out money to people suffering from mental illness.  Moral support only goes so far when you can't afford the necessities to live.

I'm not thinking of donations. It's likely the money would be used for some other necessities first instead of hiring a therapist anyway.

What I'm hoping is that we have members who have mental health training who can stakeout in this thread to answer questions from members needing guidance.

Such people though are very unlikely to be actively articipating in threads like this. Though if anyone opens up, i think most of us active in the forums wouldn't mind sharing even small pieces of support. It's usually the people who personally know a person having troubles with their mental health that needs to reach out and take initiatives.
287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Duterte: @Canada, deal with your shit. on: May 01, 2019, 01:31:47 PM
I don't think anyone outside the Philippines still take him seriously. As for the containers unless he can find a connection between that private company and the Canadian government, he really can't force Canada to do something about it. The Philippines just don't have leverage in anything.

He can claim a connection of course (like how almost everyone believe the CCP give orders to Chinese companies operating outside China) but he need to find a way to sue them.

I don't remember if they've already went after the local company that's supposed to "buy" the "recyclable" materials.

Yeah if the canadian government claims these are from private companies, it's going to be difficult dealing with it legally unless the philippine government can exactly pinpoint where it came from. With the ph president's overfriendliness with china, it's also not going to get him much attention from western countries. Going to war against canada over garbage is a big joke and this president knows it.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future HODL? on: May 01, 2019, 10:11:14 AM
Bitcoin always experiences a surge in prices in the months leading up to halving. The next Bitcoin halving is scheduled to take place in May 2020. No wonder the price of bitcoin will increase. So we just wait until after halving Bitcoin.
well, halving brings big changes in prices, and allows prices to be higher. it still takes a long time to reach 2020, but I think this is a good opportunity in the matter of holding back the assets we have, especially bitcoin and eth.

With still a year to go before the next halving, btc price could still go low. People will prepare for that probably 6 months before it happens to the last quarter of this year may be very different from the disastrous last quarter we had last year. Not a lot of people are expecting 2019 to be a breakout year anyway but a transitional year.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AT THE END, ONLY YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF on: April 30, 2019, 08:55:04 AM
We should know ourself every made decesion in our lives have a full of resposible either the result are good or bad came from our decision.

I believe a lot of people investing in bitcoin are knows about bitcoin how it really works as currency and bitcoin is not fonze schemmesome people declare bitcoin a fonze scheme investment but isnot depends how people understand bitcoin importance.

You might be talking about ponzi schemes dude just so we're clear 😆😆 yeah a lot of them know what they're doing but an awful lot as well don't. People hear about bitcoin and they jump the hype. That's a common occurrence and that's also one of the main reasons whya lot of them get stuck with their coins. It should be easy to understand that knowing as much as you can about an investment is a requirement.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 29, 2019, 04:30:05 PM
Your goal is very supportive of the development of bitcoin, right if many people use bitcoin, the higher the price of the coin. I have always been thinking and giving positive messages to my friends to invest in bitcoin. Hopefully bitcoin can become the world's first digital currency.
There is nothing hopeful, it is the world's first digital currency that has added a new word cryptocurrency to the dictionary. By now each person cannot help with mass adoption. There is continued spreading happening through the word of mouth from each and ever user. Through me more than fifteen people came to know about bitcoin, but very few have began to use it.

Of course knowing what it is is a lot different from actually using and applying that knowledge. I think by now majority of the people have either heard, watched or read about bitcoin one way or another. So word of mouth and curiosity did it's part in making people aware. But adoption is when people accept bitcoin and it's uses. That'll be way harder to pound in people's heads than just simply letting them know about it.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is a Bitcoin Millionaire on: April 29, 2019, 04:06:10 PM
A blockchain account that holds bitcoin, the first and most famous cryptocurrency, this is a wallet with fantastic value https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Maybe everyone can identify a wallet that is not from the market ?

It is difficult to identify it all, because of the basis of its anonymity. We can only know just a bitcoin address no more. Maybe the large number of wallet holders of bitcoin can be exchanges, investors or Sathosi Nakamoto or a member of Bitcointalk.

And why should we be interested in knowing who owns wallets containing thousands of btc? And right those addresses will remain anonymous to us and pretty much everybody. If i'm holding that much btc, i'd be smart enough not to risk my life and my loved ones by disclosing my identity. What do you even get from that anyway?
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 29, 2019, 03:57:30 PM
I remember the first years of bitcoin's life. There were so many things to do and learn: mining, faucets, wallets, blockchain visualizations, etc.

Nowadays the bitcoin world is pretty boring: mining is for people with deep pockets, faucets don't exist anymore, wallets are getting centralized by big corporations (blockchain.com, coinbase, etc.).

Is there anything fun left to do with bitcoin, any specific application, website, app, anything that will make bitcoin fun and interesting again? Otherwise I just keep on holding and that's it.

What may be boring for you could prove interesting for other people though. It's a matter of perspective. I for one, are having fun playing through the markets and doing trades with my favorite alts. There are bitcoin documentaries, tv shows and even a movie about crypto. Faucets and free btcs of course would be hard to come by now because btc's value considersbly increased from the time these things were abundant.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats up with Craig Wright? on: April 29, 2019, 03:51:31 PM
I see that ignoring him will be better for btc, he has become a suspicious person
especially after his problems with the Australian government that pursued him
he lies and tries to earn fame and money to tackle his problems.

Lol. The guy had his beloved bchsv coin delisted from a lot of exchanges simply because of a foolish claim of being satoshi nakamoto. Obviously he's not being taken very seriously and binance's chang peng zhao even called him a fraud. I don't think this guy will be seriously relevant in crypto today.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you like to see Bitcoin accepted? on: April 29, 2019, 03:45:24 PM
I would like to see bitcoin being accepted in every regular grocery store, eatery and phone accessories shop. In all aspect of consumer electronics and products.. This will eventually reduce the crypto to fiat conversion currently experienced.

We are already working on developing a system that will incorporate bitcoin payment in every e-commerce store in Nigeria.
This is really a great news for bitcoin. Sooner Nigeria will be accepting bitcoin too. I wish to see bitcoin too in my country being used as a payment system in all cinemas, department stores, grocery stores and even in fastfoods. It will be more beneficial to us if we can use bitcoin in all establishments that sustain our basic needs in life.

It's just a matter of time anyway. Bitcoin's acceptance as an online payment method has been picking up pace recently and i think there wull be a time when it'll be seen everywhere. What you said about cinemad and fastfood stores accepting btc may not be very far from us now. Bitcoin atms, p2p transaction signages in local stores, we're in the right direction if you think about it.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 arrested in Bangladesh for merely trading Bitcoin on: April 29, 2019, 01:46:19 PM
Yes, I remember that I read similar cases last year about people in Bangladesh getting arrested because of crypto trading. I guess there traders are putting not just money risk, but their lives as well. But who can stop them if trading brings food in the table for their families?
It was not due to trading, last year a sum of 7-8 people were arrested due to mining bitcoin and some other crypto. Till now, I have not seen someone to be arrested for trading bitcoin in Bangladesh. However, it still is illegal here.

It's probably just a matter of time before someone gets arrested for trading in that country if it has banned btc. Banning it means it's illegal to be associated with bitcoin and crypto so unfortunately for the citizens there, they'll have to face the risk of getting apprehended if they mine, or even trade with crypto.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin and online transctions on: April 29, 2019, 01:29:44 PM
I don't think 10 percent is bad at all though. For a society that has been so used to making transactions face to face, that's already a good number considering that online payments just got the recognition it's meant to have just a few years ago. It' going to take bitcoin transactions  bit longer since trust issues and fluctuation will take time to get over with.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fake money? Think again! on: April 29, 2019, 01:17:40 PM
Most of the people around were with similar level of understanding about cryptocurrency and the virtual money. It is our responsibility to make them correct and go on the right path. People find it really different when heard for the very first time, but the usage and when they experience using it similar to fiat will get to know better and begins to make use of bitcoin.
They would appreciate it once they use it, it's different from a traditional payment system, we have the most advance and the most transparent.
For users who loves to transact money online, they can be our potential users and if we can convince them, they will be part of the system and they will not only discover bitcoin but also altcoins since this space is so big that needs to be explored.

I think it's better to not force it to be like money at all. It's an alternative. It can be used for transactions just like money but somehow different. Some people will find it a bit confusing if we always compare the two and there of course will be some who won't have trust in btc that way. Make it have it's own identity as bitcoin.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VETERANS to a gambling questions here(newbie here) on: April 29, 2019, 10:38:43 AM
First I want to say I got to know and see links and website in a certain thread that give you trusted gambling sites because I wan to know the trusted once of a veteran who is a long time gambler.

Now I want to know when did you know that one site is trusted and the better among all your played games? that is the best among all, the differences?

What was the feeling? when you started it?

Did you have been scammed? what did you do? besides posting that it is a scam. How did you get through it?

Are you rich? that is why you gamble here? or an ordinary person?

First one i played at was betcoin.ag and i have nothing negative to say about them during the time i was using their platform. I'm not really a gambler by heart but that was the first time i've played online so i enjoyed it. Never got to play in a fiat based online casino lol. And i'm not rich at all . Just someone who has a regular job and doing some bounties for recreation. That's usually where i get the funds for some gambling.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the gambling site's having a promotion? on: April 29, 2019, 10:33:41 AM
Despot bonuses are what do it for me to get me to try a casino.
Some have very nice welcome bonuses and then you end up liking the site and you are hooked instantly.
If you not, then you can try another site that offer a similar bonus or try them all out.

That's usually the promotions new gambling sites offer to users. Free tokens, free spins, free membership etc. Always freebies and rightfully so. I doubt that anyone would already put in their own money for a new gambling site. As they say, they always put their best foot forward to get enough people to join.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: April 29, 2019, 09:55:04 AM
Plenty of free time. This is because during your free time, you are more likely to find something that will entertain you which in this case can be gambling. When you have plenty of free time, it wouldn't matter so much for you thus your self control could become weak.
That’s why you have to spend your free time well so you will not get addict. The eagerness of every person to make easy money makes them more addict and since gambling is a great way to win big money they tend to do it more often. Addiction can ruin your life and everything, control yourself now.

But think it this way. If you will be spending your time on gambling, your free time, that would also make you addicted since that way of passing the time will become a habit of yours, will be a hobby, and will turn to addiction. If you are using it in your free time, be sure that you can still gamble what you can afford. You might regret it if you don't.
We can't assured that we are only going to use spare time and money because once we got engaged self control is really hard to do, overcoming your addictions is way far from just quitting after playing some games, it's a process where you needed to win over your emotions, make sure that you are well aware of possibilities.
There is no need to overcome this issue as we know there are so many gamblers who are gambling and earning from it, when you first enter gambling then it is not good to quit because the more you spend your time you will become experienced, so time makes us perfect never give up just keep trying and stay with gambling.

This one here is a really bad advice and example to follow. Many gamblers suffer losing big money by thinking that with time they will become more experienced and win in gambling, while experience does matter it is not a determining factor to win in gambling. When you become addicted there is only one solution and that is to get help in a professional manner.

For some  people that could be the only way but not all addicted gamblers have the same situation. Some of them just need a little nudge or inspiration from close friends and their families to rethink their habits. Professional help are for those people that are beyond influence from their family and friends. A severe case like that destroys relationships so last resort would be to get help from someone who specializes in psychiatric fields.
