282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: November 23, 2017, 01:56:50 PM
There are a lot of reasons. Life happens is the main one. But also, some people will be getting cold feet as this market continues to go parabolic. Its never  a bad idea if you've doubled / tripled and want to take your original investment off the table.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't bitcoin enough? on: November 23, 2017, 01:55:56 PM
Its mainly because of the massive fees that are beginning to appear for bitcoin. In the early days, you could send BTC for free, I remember this vividly. Bitcoin has essentially now become a savings vehicle, or a settlement for LARGE funds.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: November 23, 2017, 01:52:35 PM
It depends, do you have an effective business plan to make money from the bitcoin field? If not, then I would strongly not suggest this. Bitcoin currently is incredibly volatile.

Bitcoin is a massive community and marketplace. There is no "business model" for Bitcoin itself.

The value of Bitcoin is the value of anything else in the market. The price someone is currently willing to pay for it.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying an ASIC for mining on: November 21, 2017, 03:22:52 PM
Its really hard to compete with the big dogs these days. Once upon a time, in the early days, I remember when anyone could partake. But now it is very hard to turn a profit.
