281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 90% sure that "EhVedadooAnonimato" is Satoshi on: May 17, 2015, 01:08:01 AM
1) He starts posting in 2011, two months after Satoshi's last words.
In his first post he says that he was around one year before, so since 2010.
Why does he introduce himself as someone that has been around since 2010, in 2011, two months after Satoshi disappears?

2) How could such a bright guy, always using Tor, and posting relevant things on the Development forum, be so elusive?

3) In one of his posts he mentions the difference between American and British English, comparing it to the difference between Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil.

There is no one on this forum that makes me think more, with the things he says, what I imagine Satoshi could say.
It is really striking. It is very literary dude and very knowledge of all sorts of things Satoshi would.

Anyway, I know this is not convincing. But read his posts and tell me if it is not striking.
I can't help it but think that either he is Satoshi or is doing it on purpose to look like him.
It is really difficult for me to explain. But intuitively, I have no doubts. I would say that he is 90% likely to be Satoshi. I think I would put 95% of the users on this forum on the 0-20% chances of being Satoshi.

Here, the profile is very high for that. That is all that I am saying.

Anyway, I am sure Satoshi is who I say he is. I am even more sure of that, than of this.
But that is another story. I could be wrong, but I'm not.
You may disbelieve me because I am, indeed quite crazy and have not much credit here.
But I have no doubt. I got to know the real Satoshi in this life time and know who he is. A genius, of course.

Time will prove me right; I have no doubt.

Never heard of this guy before and cant seem to find his profile. What's his UID? i want to read his post history, seems interesting. Any worth noting quotes that would make you think it was satoshi? at this point it's just speculation tho, unless he said something that gave it away too much.

It seems the same username is being used on github also since 2011, and was active on it two months ago.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I am 90% sure that "EhVedadooAnonimato" is Satoshi on: May 16, 2015, 10:54:05 PM
I am 90% sure that the user "EhVedadooAnonimato" in this forum is Satoshi.
If so, we have here some evidence that Satoshi speaks Portuguese.
He writes Portuguese in a way that Google translate wouldn't.
I keep looking for clues on his 665 posts. Just before reaching 666 posts... Smiley
Anyway, he must be a rich bitcoiner, considering he was so close to the core developers in the development subsection, so close to the inner circle, back in 2011... Such knowledgeable bitcoiner that was posting back in 2011 must be a rich bitcoiner. And he was so protective of his identity, always using Tor. Appearing two months after the last Satoshi words, out of nothing but already very knowledgeable of it all. It can only be Satoshi, IMHO. But it seems he got afraid of using this identity. I guess is because he knows this knowledge would ultimately be able to track him.
We have something here, don't you think? I have said it before, but I insist: this must have been Satoshi!!! I'm pretty sure...

Does anyone remember talking with him on IRC? I mean, someone with such nickname handle??

I had to add the "3" but I also get something here:

286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I googled: "The Times 0(...)" and it completed the sentence... on: May 15, 2015, 06:15:13 PM
Wait, I logged out and it still completes it as I said.
I am in London, in the UK.

Yeah, maybe is that.
Here is a screenshot:

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I googled: "The Times 0(...)" and it completed the sentence... on: May 15, 2015, 06:00:26 PM
Interesting, to get Google to auto-complete with:
The times 03/jan/2009 chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
You only need to type "The Times 0".

For instance in any game where the results are drawn in advance and kept hidden and secret for a long time, you would get much more chances of winning in one of the parallel worlds because in each parallel world you would be using a different *lucky numbers* picker - using the blockchain latest hash as a source for that pick - and so in each parallel world you would be playing with different numbers while the results were already drawn in advance and kept hidden and secret..

We need books that teach us about bitcoin core source code at the same time as they teach us all the C++ Standard Template Library and prigranning knowledge we may be missing.
Learning C++ with the bitcoin source code without Master...
All that we know you will find difficult even if you know some C++ and OOP.

Hey, the authors of meerkatroulette.com have their tweet handles at the bottom of the page.
Please tweet them saying you would like a BTC address near their twitter handles at the bottom of the page.
I am having so much fun with meerkatroulette.com. We can always changetip them but they could put a BTC address there, would be cool!

298  Bitcoin / Project Development / Idea for a game that may make sense to implement with the bitcoin network on: March 21, 2015, 03:31:25 PM
A seed of 10 digits is given by the game house.
Each player picks his own random seed of 10 digits and hashes a concatenation of the house seed with his own seed.
All players publish their resulting hash and keep their seed secret.
All combinations of the house seed concatenated with 10 digits are hashed to find which players did submit a valid hash.
Once the players seeds are found or proved to be invalid they are ordered from MIN to MAX and concatenated. If they were invalid they are simply omitted.

Here is an example,

Game #n

The house says that the house seed is 3864736283 and that SHA256 will be used.

There are 4 players.

Two players decide to submit an invalid hash. That is no hash of "3864736283xxxxxxxxxx", for any x's produces the outcome they publish.
Another player chooses as seed 7776665554 so calculates the SHA256 of "38647362837776665554", which is:
90bc10e69f3242e1bdcc128524b3763d1be3b5d917daadb0eb43d00348f7399a

and publishes that.

Another player chooses as his own 10 digits seed 9999966665, so calculates SHA256 of "38647362839999966665"
which is:
a7c44f73bf76cb00fca176e5aa9a531a082ecc5f477b9b55a3465bc4870e3d57

and publishes it.

The house will then find by exhaustion the seeds of the players. Two did not provide a valid hash, that is, no possible seed found, so they would not participate in the randomness source.

In the meantime the house founds that 7776665554 and 9999966665 were the seeds of the players.

As 7776665554 < 9999966665 it will be on the left, so we concatenate them and calculate
SHA256("77766655549999966665") , which is:
7e987f1a81778c36040b818ee21ddbb7df4592d8e30df5f843f8cf5ce820e98e

During a given time after all players publish their hashes, all players can bet saying 256 bits. The bet with 256 bits that gets closer to the resulting hash of the game wins.

The number of digits of the seeds is chosen so that it is fairly improbable the house can find the seeds during the time when bets can be placed. For 10 seeds of digits maybe is fair bets can be placed during the minute after all players' hashes are published. This is the tricky part because we don't know the computation power of the house.

Maybe this logic could be implemented where house is an altcoin. Or maybe this could be even implemented with bitcoin.

What do you think?

300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Euromillions extraction using latest 1000 blocks hashes in special way on: March 21, 2015, 12:31:42 AM
It is usually argued that the hash of the latest block is not a good source of randomness because miners can manipulate that outcome.
I was thinking in the case of Euromillions if it would seem secure enough to use the hash of the hashes of latest 1000 blocks.
To further make it more difficult to manipulate all hashes to be hashed would be ordered according to their position in terms natural counting ordering, that is, the lowest hash would come first in the concatenation.
Further, each hash would be hashed with its Unix timestamp, before entering the special order concatenation.
I think this would be an ultra safe extraction for a game like euromillions.
What do you think? I think it is quite unthinkable to manipulate the hashes of 1000 blocks even more if they are further hashed with their timestamp and put in a specific place of the concatenation to be hashed.
What do you think?
