This is a necessary evil while improved Lisk code is being written (version 0.4.0)  The 0.4.0 version hopefully will be stable enough after testing that Oliver will turn off the Genesis machines, forging rewards will start, and the Lisk mainnet will be start to be run by 101 community-elected DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) Active Delegates.

For now, hopeful delegates are practicing their node operating skills over on the Lisk testnet

This is an expensive way to practice.  It costs all these folks (including me) money out of their own pocket to run these testnet servers, which are generating "test Lisk forging rewards" with no real value.  

This is also a very frustrating way to practice.  The current Lisk code is very challenging to operate.  While the network endures, individual nodes must be laboriously resynchronized often with procedures that can be very time-consuming.

Many people have given up due to expense and frustration and are no longer maintaining their testnet nodes.  You can see them in the list above as having red dots and / or low productivity percentages beside their names.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE SHOWN THE DEDICATION (GENERALLY SPEAKING, HIGH PRODUCTIVITY PERCENTAGES BESIDE THEIR NAMES) TO CONTINUE RUNNING LISK TESTNET NODES WEEK AFTER WEEK.

Polo added ETH/STEEM pair in the worst moment, now lot of ETH dumpers will take STEEM instead LSK.

I just arrived back from Berlin. I found a flat there, now it depends on the landlord that I get it. I will prepare all necessary documents today/tomorrow and send it to them ASAP. I estimate the chances are quite good. Looking to move there within 2 weeks.

I have a 10.5m^2 office in Aachen since the beginning. For myself in order to concentrate on Lisk. I meant that one, it's already canceled for the end of this month.

You have warned everyone and your job here is done. We were accused of being scammers as well, me personally and Lisk as a whole. This word is being used too often in the cryptocurrency industry.

Charles is one of the most proficient figures in the cryptocurrency space, he has such a rich experience in cryptocurrencies (BitShares, Ethereum) that his advise is invaluable. He is an extraordinary advisor for Lisk and we appreciate the fact that he is willing to advise us.

The business plan calls for investment crowdfunding approximately every 1 to 1.5 years, until the final product release.  There are a set amount of AMPs set aside just for this.

Part of the reasoning behind this, is that small tech start-ups that get many millions of dollars thrown at them too soon actually have a harder time making it than a more sustainable, long term approach.  We know we have to work over a period of time, growing the whole way.  This makes early spending decisions more responsible, less wasteful, and result in better flexibility.

Only a small fraction of the total AMPs are in circulation now, and these tokens will not gain their full value until they are being used on the network.  Many more AMPs will need to enter the Attention Economy of Synereo.  

There is no "damage" to the value in AMPs - see the growth chart in an earlier post.

No comparison to Steem - that is a very different project from Synereo.

"Steem" is a centralized scam perpetrated by the chronic lying, cheating father and son team known as Stan and Dan Larimer with assistance from their Chinese Communist backers who have ZERO interest in free speech.

Synereo is a decentralized technology stack which will host a multitude of applications one of them being an open-source social network platform which will enable people to free themselves from the corporate social media giants (aka Facebook, Twitter, etc).  The entire model is based on the attention economy which utilizes AMPs.

There is no comparison between these two projects.  The former will rob you blind and leave you shackled.  The latter will liberate you and ensure your free speech rights.


There aren't 184.8 million AMPs in circulation.  Coinmarketcap is wrong.  A lot of those AMPs were burned after the first crowdsale.  I believe the current amount is around 45 million or so.  Nobody knows how many AMPs are going to be sold this round.  It all depends on the market price at the time of the sale.  Imo, the potential of Synereo is huge.  You have to consider the fact that right now there is no network or users.  After the network is launched in Sept and users start to congregate, there will actually be a market demand / use for AMPs.  For the network to flourish and get adoption there has to be an additional disbursement of AMPs to new users, because there are a significant amount of AMPs out of the original crowdsale which are not being moved from their original addresses (aka They are not for sale).  Who knows when and if these people will sell them.  It depends on every holders opinion of the potential for this technology.  There is around a total of 1.8 billion or so AMPs.  The burn off of AMPs during the original crowdsale was a reduction in supply.  The mass majority of the other AMPs are locked up for future funding rounds (not necessarily crowdsales).  There has never been a dilution of AMPs.  Imo, these funding rounds will only accelerate the value of AMPs.
