281  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Desktop Wallet on: February 11, 2021, 10:55:27 PM
Inaddtion to what others have said, the portable version is flexible and easy to use on third party computers but if security is your top priority it better you use the non-portable version of the wallet because the portable is compared with a web wallet which is vulnerable to viruses and keylogger attack and footing your message the BTC will use for long term shortage.
The portable version is not like a web wallet, it is a desktop wallet also. The only difference is that people can have it on a flash drive, this can result to it being installed on third party computers.
I aware of this and the mobility sector of the portable version of the wallet was the reason why I contemplate it to be like a web wallet.

Is it ok do use portable version?

The vulnerabilities of the portable and non-portable versions are the same. If the computer is compromised, either of them is vulnerable unless they connect to the hardware wallet.  In the latter case the transactions safety is in your hands. IMO, if you check every details of transactions to be signed by HW they’re not in any danger.
Yes, but nonportable is still not prone to attack if you personal air gap computer while portable is prone to attack when used on third parties/public computer which the reason why the issue keylogger is mentioned.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 10, 2021, 11:59:28 PM
The trend now is tweet about bitcoin and expect a rally, Elon Musk is doing it successfully and the market is responding to all of his tweets but what about the influence power of the richest man in Mexico, the market went down today may be because of the power of the tweet Cheesy .
It all good now that the whales are creating a different type of hype in the market using the power of social because there was once a moment where nothing of the mogul and celebrities will publicly make an announcement about cryptocurrency.
Having said that, the reason why Elon is doing the hype successful is because of his new rank in the world and a lot of people will want to earn through his knowledge/statement.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain adoption on: February 10, 2021, 11:36:50 PM
feeless is needed if we want to see mass adoptions in blockchain technology. right ?
because if the fee is very high its impossible for all sectors to adopt this technology
here some nice article to read
https://cointelegraph.com/news/going-feeless-is-the-only-way-to-enable-blockchain-adoption

what do you think guys ?

The exclusion of transaction fee may have help DeFi in some area but its completely not what bring DeFi to the spotlight. The last time I checked the services rendered by the centralized institutions/business attract a certain fee and the fee doesn't hinder its adoption then why will the transaction fee hinder cryptocurrency adoption? I think the TPS is the only primary issue that needs to be addressed as mass adoption of cryptocurrency is a concern.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: February 10, 2021, 11:06:03 PM
The pandemic totally changes everything and makes us see the world as a different thing but one thing I understand about complying with the total lockdown and dealing with the financial and the mental repercussions caused by the pandemic/lockdown is that it better to stay alive than get kill by the virus.
The only way I depressed about the financial and mental repercussions is by taking an online class and looking for an online job that will bring something good for me. In the meantime, the Greece government ought to make a huge step in getting the virus vaccine.

286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real fact behind crypto ban in Nigeria on: February 08, 2021, 08:20:13 PM
Finally CBN gives the main reason why they put ban on crypto in Nigeria, the fact is there are many bad eggs among the good eggs, online romance scammers are now using bitcoin as their benefactor to cashing out money easily with no traces, read news here
It true that there will always some black sheep in every country, setting which will abuse the system for their own selfish and greedy purpose but I don't agree with the statement of the Nigerian Central Bank saying some scammer using crypto to scam people with no traces when most crypto to fiat payment are handle by the centralized exchange. However, their ban won't stop the bad action from operation since they can easily use a P2P exchange to execute their transaction while the genuine crypto user will be affected.

287  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 08, 2021, 07:32:03 PM
For this cryptocurrencies needs to be regulated. Right now very few countries have regulated the usage of cryptocurrencies. The central banks of every country were under the control of the government. Upon this it isn't possible to make official transactions as we do through wire. Banks around the globe are into development and integration of blockchain into banking operations. Maybe in the future when things go regulated bitcoin might be considered by the banks for cross border transactions.
If because Bitcoin decentralization, the potential it posed for borderless and to remove what hinder it to be mainstream of payment was the reason you believe cryptocurrency must be regulated then I will consider you to still be naive cause we don't need the banks to consider Bitcoin now for if Bitcoin is regulated then what Satoshi planned when he created Bitcoin was destroyed by the community.
Having said that, we don't need the banks or government to regulate Bitcoin, and the last time I check they can only regulate its usage.
Myself too said about the regulation of the Bitcoin usage. Without regulation governments will not support the banking system to use it on mainstream transactions. Agreed, if the Bitcoin network is regulated then it is truly destroying the vision of Satoshi for which he made such a marvelous innovation.
We understand the government's viewpoint when it comes to the decentralization of crypto currency cause they only want to abuse or cause more harm to the network just like they did with fiat by regulating crypto However, we need crypto to be regulate before it can be mainstream of payment and some governments have already supported it

289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami To Start Paying Salaries In Bitcoin Soon on: February 07, 2021, 10:21:59 PM
I never think that this can be applicable to all workers for that company, there can still be people that don't know about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin,
Yes, some people are still gullible about Bitcoin and others cryptocurrency existence but the payment of salary in Bitcoin which Miami is planning was to add Bitcoin payment to salary payment option in Miami not a must that every salary will be pay in BTC. However, this will help institutional companies that bought BTC early.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 07, 2021, 09:06:01 PM
Mayweather wishing 50cent could accept to fight him in an exhibition fight is a stupid thing to do when Pacman promoter offers him the chance to give us an anticipated rematch but I think Mayweather wanted to fight 50cent because he sees him as an underdog and the last time I checked 50cent is a street fighter, once a drug dealer before moving yo music.
I hope Mayweather would able to handle his punches cause the man is a beast and he doesn't play when it comes to fighting that's why he said Mayweather is small for him.
Too exaggerated for you to described him that way when it comes to experience which do ends up on a having that punching power. Not to frustrate you but nothing
beats out someone on the ring that had been constantly making some training for decades which is totally different when you are just a streetfighter or a drug dealer.
Try to compare it technically or even with just common sense you can eventually spot out which one does have the advantage.
Mayweather will be accepting on fight that would turn out to be simple for him.
I know my statement will be unacceptable and unreasonable to some boxing fan but I want you to understand that I am also Mayweather fan. However, I like the to face the reality about this kind of things because Mayweather is going after opponent he believes will be easy for him to win which the reason why he ignore Pacman rematch but he underestimated 50cent that why he choose to fight him an exhibition fight and I can assure that 50cent will disappointment cause 50cent also have experienced in boxing though he may not use it as a professional boxer.
Having said, I don't think the fight will hold again cause 50cent said "The fight is off because Floyd cant read 2 paragraphs of my New York Times best seller (Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter) on IG live."

292  Economy / Exchanges / Re: storing BTC at exchange wallet long term on: February 06, 2021, 10:01:14 PM
Everywhere I read tells me it is not a good idea to leave BTC long term at an exchange wallet.
In addition, to what explained already one of the concept of Bitcoin is to make each individual is own bank and never to trust third parties. However, keeping coins on exchange is just like trusting the third party but you can still keep some coin you can afford to loose on exchange site that integrated SAFU.

However, the same people who say that recommend crypto interest earning accounts such as BlockFi or Celsious.  Doesn't make sense to me.  So I should not trust Coinbase or Gemini yet I can trust BlockFi or Celsius to keep my crypto safe?  What?Huh
I honestly don't trust coinbase ever since the ask they lock user account for no reason and force KYC but those fellow that gave you the advise are after profit cause blockfi is also a third party platform and it trying though is not a bad idea but you should only put the amount you can afford to lose.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk shill for DOGE on: February 06, 2021, 06:35:15 PM
I believe after Billy Markus left the Doge project 7years ago due to harassment from the communities and sold all his holding in the year 2015 (footing what he said) Jackson Palmer can not handle the job alone, he seeks some help from Elon Musk which he later acquires the project and before the rightful CEO of Dogecoin all he can do is to shill for the coin.

Is this to say that Elon Musk buys Doge and can become Elon Musk's Dogecoin entirely?
I don't know if Elon Musk acquired the entire Dogecoin since Jackson Palmer is working with the project but he (Elon) publicly said hes the coin new CEO then.

if what I say is true then this could be something very interesting and of course it will give new life to Dogecoin price movements, because Elon Musk has many companies meaning he can make Dogecoin as another alternative for transactions which will increase the use of Dogecoin.
You are right but the Dogecoin concept won't make the coin to have increase use and if they integrate more features to the coin it will increase the coin use case.
Alot of people don't know that Elon shill the coin because he is the coin CEO.
294  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 WINZ.IO 🚀 BITCOIN MINING ADVENTURE ₿₿₿ UP TO 6 BTC IN BONUSES 🥇🥈🥉 on: February 06, 2021, 05:18:54 PM
I’m intrigued by the site. Seems like it has potential to last long, and might try out betting soon for this site. Who knows, I might be lucky.  Wink
Aside from that, they are also part of the ask gamblers movement which mean their user which may have an unresolved situation concern game or withdrawal can report the situation on ask gambler for an effective solution.

I think winz.io needs to give more specific information related to the free spin and cash prize.
As I can see there is no specific numbers there, does it mean that those prizes are in random number?
Maybe the numbers depend on the activity and how many players participate in the competition. Most probably, on how much you wager as well.
To be on the safe side, I would advice yo check with their support over live chat. Just click on the green chat icon at the bottom of the page and ask them.
You right cause casino promotion is always depend on their users activity but I don't think there's a need for them to provide any more specific information since there thing is writing on their promotional page.
295  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of CRYPTO GAMBLING & BETTING SITES with bonus & promo codes! Site And App on: February 06, 2021, 03:20:05 PM
What new features can we add? what you want to see ?
I best features you guys could provide to people is making sure all the gambling site on your platform are a genuine site which doesn't scam it users cause we have seen some site that provided the same service as you but recommends scam gambling to people just to get pay by the site I guess should be your number 1 priority features and also add information that will make people gamble responsibly.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 05, 2021, 09:59:16 PM
Footing the want/priority of the cryptocurrency community privacy-focused coins are a necessity but I think the privacy coin teams also don't think about the situation that may arise in the future when cryptocurrency become mainstream of payment when they created their coin to be total privacy cause they ought to make it both side functioning coin i.e sender can choose to send privacy or pseudomous payment.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are sky high on: February 05, 2021, 09:27:54 PM
I have about 35$ that I'd like to buy BCH with, but with the transaction fees, I can barely get 8$ out of those 35$. Anyone know a way to buy BCH on blockchain directly from your BTC balance? Also, Could I maybe set a low low fee and use transaction accelerator to push it through?
The hike in tx fee is challenging but I believe the fee is somehow low during the UTC mid night time and prevent some future further situation like this it better to use SegWit support wallet so you can join cheap fee.
Having said that, it hard to provide the platform for you to buy BCH directly from your balance without knowing the wallet provider you use.

High Fee is now a big problem for low income investor. Of course no one can bear 20% fee.
The transaction shouldn't be a big problem for small cryptocurrencies if they can follow the mempool status or use the Bitcoin transaction price estimator to know the best to move their coin.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Crash? on: February 05, 2021, 08:56:37 PM
Although, the OP question was not specified the aspect of Bitcoin to crash he really means and there's a saying that nothing is impossible in the market, which I believe something will trigger it but Bitcoin seems to have passed the level of it to totally crash cause it biggest enemies have now chosen to accumulate it.

300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will market dump on Chinese New Year? on: February 04, 2021, 10:35:24 PM
Normally, there some holidays that always impact the cryptomarket so I expect the price of the Bitcoin market to experience some slight dump in price but that dip as some people think since the Chinese upcoming holiday is something that has to do with the Chinese tribe and descent. However, some investors could use the advantage of the moment for quick buy for some profit.
