281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: April 11, 2018, 11:56:45 AM
It is very simple. I DO NOT THINK SO
Ethereum is not dead and will not die so easy, doesn't matter what its haters are trying to tell us.
It won't die until it can still be used by others to start off their own ICO(since the erc20 tokens are the lifeline of ETH). If token creation subsides and ICO startup lessens, ETH will still have a value until all of the erc20 tokens are deemed worthless which is very unlikely to happen(since many erc20 tokens have good usage too). For this reason I believe ETH will still last long, it is just suffering bear market like what other alts experience too.
282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recommend some Cryptocurrency wallet that is UI friendly to a Newbie? on: April 11, 2018, 10:41:58 AM
Hello Newbie here,

Just got into cryptocurrencya couple of days ago and need some recommendations for Newbie friendly wallet apps with cryptocurrency tradings.

Anyone?
If you are talking about a wallet with multiple cryptocurrency support, I would suggest coinbase to you.It is not a wallet for bitcoin, it is also a wallet for ethereum, ltc, and bitcoin cash. They might add more crypto in the future but whats the best in this wallet is that you can directly convert them into fiat, and is also with a newbie friendly user interface as it is a web walle that is easy to operate. If you have enough experience interacting with complex sites, you will easily familiarize yourself with this.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Opinions on my portfolio? on: April 10, 2018, 01:23:43 PM

IMO all coins in your portfolio are good enough to hold long term(at least a year) but please do dump it if ever a crazy bullish movement occurs. Nevertheless, I think you should remove RDD in your portfolio and buy other coins with potential using the bitcoin you got from selling RDD. It should also be good if you consider replacing the latter with a coin in the top 100(in coinmarketcap) which is dumped ATM.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: April 10, 2018, 12:19:38 PM
Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$ Grin
Just because the popularity of the word bitcoin, cryptocurrency and hodl decreases on google stats doesn't mean that people have also sold them, the hodl strategy is still done by many IMO. It might have been that they have found a better place to search for facts crypto related, which is this forum. They also might have had started to hodl, not searching anything about crypto, bitcoin and the word hold.
285  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc go to 7300 you agree or no? share any tradingview idea for vote on: April 10, 2018, 11:42:21 AM
I think the market is not ready for any kind of major rise for now. which is why price is struggling to rise up. there simply isn't enough buy support for a rise but there is enough buy support to prevent a further drop.
but I agree that for a real breakout and the ATH we first need to go back to $9k levels.
I think that we need to go back to higher levels rather than only going back to $9000 in order for a real breakout and ATH to happen because I am sure that the price you have indicated is where resistance will happen and in order to break through it, I think bitcoin price needs to go back first to 10,500$, IMO this price level is the final resistance point before a major bullish movement happens.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how can bitcoin have a good impression if there are people like this!?? on: April 10, 2018, 11:03:40 AM
if there are people who scam with bitcoin, The 1st impression of investors here in the philppines will look at bitcoin as scam. -_-
If that is the case then people's first impression into fiat should have been bad. IMO there are many scammers everywhere using fiat, so don't think that scams like this only happens with bitcoin and crypto. The 1st impression of investors shouldn't be affected by this incident.
OP, I fear for the Bitcoin holders in your country. I believe your government might be quick to jump on the news and start banning all cryptocurrencies and make them illegal.
Do not fear for bitcoin holders in Philippines since as far as I know, the Philippine government already took a step to legalize bitcoin way back in January. According to coindesk, Philippines SEC plans to craft rules intended to regulate crypto news and ICO's. Why would government agencies issue regulation rules if they will ban it?

287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What procedures does a newbie need? on: April 10, 2018, 10:10:04 AM
What does a newbie to do make money from Bitcoin talk?
You can offer your services in the marketplace section, this is the most profitable way to earn money here if you got skills but I doubt whether one will try to transact with a newbie account unless there is an escrow involved. You can also learn trading here, IMO it is very profitable if you got the capital to invest onto altcoins and bitcointalk is the best place to learn how to do it in a right way.
288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Withdraw misstake on: April 09, 2018, 01:36:49 PM
Hey guys i need help. Today i withdrawed LTC from binance to gdax. But accidently i used BTC adress instead LTC adress. Is there any way how to refund my coins? Btw. After few minutes i recived 15 % of that transaction back.
You can request GDAX to give your LTC back to you(if that BTC address is a multi signature address since LTC and BTC address with multisig is the same, thus making BTC address private key importable to LTC, giving gdax a chance to be able to access it in ltc wallet as well). If the transaction cannot go through the blockchain, it might also be returned to you eventually. It might help though if you could post the txid here, so that we can check it in LTC block explorer and blockchain.
289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The History Of Bitcoin Value on: April 09, 2018, 11:43:42 AM
20.   November, 17 2013 – USD$ 503.10 : Bitcoin value increase twice from before
21.   April, 10 2014 – USD$ 381.88 : Pressure from Bank Of China result decreasing of bitcoin value
Nice idea making a history list of bitcoin value but I think there is something lacking in here. You forgot to include bitcoins old all time high(1200$ before the Mt. Gox incident) and it's low and it should be put somewhere between the two quoted above(since it happened really fast in december 2013) before the event in April 10 2014 took place(since it has experienced lower price in January 2014).
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is needed for Altcoin to survive long term? on: April 09, 2018, 11:11:00 AM
I think good marketing campaign and completing roadmap with new partnerships and technologies. Alts are good and some of them are really sleeping giants (like EOS and NEO for ex.)
They haven't really been in the market for a long time so I wouldn't use them as an example. Some altcoins who have proven themselves to have survived for a long time is litecoin, eth, waves and many more. Good marketing campaign and completing roadmap is one thing, but what keeps altcoins survive long time is improvements(it keeps demand going) and it's use cases(like what others mentioned).
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 is stabity year ? on: April 09, 2018, 10:37:53 AM
Cryptocurrencies Market will be stable only if it will become regulated by governments. But on the other side - do we even need such market?
I think for now we don't need markets regulated by governments, I think crypto is fine as is on free market but in the long run, government regulated markets will sprout one by one.
The value of cryptocurrencies has plunged more than 50 per cent this year, but some analysts are upbeat the asset class will grow more popular and mature this year, with a gradual increase in trading volume and decrease in volatility. ..........
Don't fully believe what analysts says, their statement will only be beneficial to them and to their investment(at some extent). IMO, crypto will not decrease in volatility atm, not until government takes action to regulate transactions.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela's growing interest in bitcoin explained on: April 09, 2018, 09:07:48 AM
I saw some news that says even though the volatility is so strong, but Venezuelans still turning to cryptocurrencies to store their savings. It seems a bold strategic from the Venezuelans. What do you guys think?
I think it is just right in order to secure their wealth from the government's corruption. Better yet, they should have had also hedged into gold and any other precious metals in order to safeguard their money from the inflation.
The BTC can effectively control inflation in venezuela!

The Venezuelan government has issued the world's first legal digital encryption currency, the "oil coin", to ease the country's financial crisis.

The government's support for digital cryptographic money has led to the rapid development of the digital cryptographic currency in venezuela, where many of the BTC mines are located in the Venezuelan capital.
Do you really believe that they have issued petro to ease the country's financial crisis? I think no, because Maduro and the rest might have had a hidden agenda behind the launching besides the well known reason. Nevertheless, I think you are right by stating the statement in the bold, their attempt to launch a national cryptocurrency increased the adoption rate of cryptos in their country.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional Infrastructure on: April 08, 2018, 10:14:12 PM
Will institutionalization actually happen now?
Probably not but instead, institutional money might be entering crypto space now before that plan of coinbase happens. They will probably short at the day of the Lau ching or hours after it.
If people try to front run that money again, will we see a bull run this coming summer as these custody products get set to roll out?
We might not see a bull run because people, mostly traders have accumulated at low prices and at BTC is starting to recover a little(which is probably caused by some people buying). They might or might not sell it after the launching of  those custody solution.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: How do drug dealers get their bitcoin laundered? on: April 08, 2018, 01:52:31 PM
Chip mixers only hide the origin of funds but according to the article, he claims to be making $123,000 a month. If I try to convert $100.000 into fiat I’m going to be investigated and I will have to explain where those funds come from, so using a chip mixer doesn't make those funds appear to have a legit origin.
~snip~
I find this reply more plausible, thanks.
One can do over the counter deals or local trades peer to peer in order to get that money out and those who received a lot through bitcoin sells it to ordinary traders(probably after it is cleaned using a mixer). They also might have been slowly converting it all into fiat in order to not attract the government's attention and public's eye as well to avoid getting tracked.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for Resolution of the Scale Problem on: April 08, 2018, 12:54:39 PM
> Pre mine all 21 million coins before distributing, so there will be a fixed value for each one
I think your suggestion is nice and all besides the one in the quote, wouldn't this suggestion make all those Bitcoin(copy) essentially a shitcoin and centralized? If all would be premined, what will miners try to mine? Fees? I think that would only make it more expensive and wouldn't make transaction fees cheap again, but it will make it fast again.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finding and getting in Bounties on: April 08, 2018, 12:15:52 PM
Hey everyone! How do you find good Bounties? Those that will get it to the ICO at least. Is there any like checklist to see if the Bounty is legit? Thanks in advance for your answers!
You can find bounties in bounties section which is a subsection of maketplace(altcoins). You can find a good bounty campaigns by looking into it's white paper, activeness of team in public relations, concept of the project(whether it is a copy cat or not), and community's support to it. If all is good, then it is very likely that it will succeed in ICO, making it a good bounty to join.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price flatlined over the last 20 hours - manipulation evidence? on: April 07, 2018, 06:29:13 AM
everything is pure manipulation,so we do not need an evidence because everything is decided by them whether it is go up or go down.
To be precise, it is decided by whales and large holders but in the long run, it will stop as btc gets diversified so let us be happy that they at least dump their coins as it gets diversified among users that way. Also, they cannot keep what they are doing forever, they will either run out of bitcoin to use in manipulation or the government might intervene with them in the future as it is somewhat similar to money laundering(since they gain unexplained wealth in just a short time).
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Why well-distinguished economists are negative on bitcoin on: April 06, 2018, 10:44:09 PM
It's the same stupid blindness that led to Blockbuster video thinking streaming is no threat. Somehow people who are winning in business can't see the changes coming. Why? Because they don't want it to happen.
It can also be the other way around. They might have had seen bitcoin and crypto in general as something with potential, but they don't want it to go up in price yet. There are many reasons why they don't want it to happen, one of it is that they are gaining profit more in fiat and credit cards when compared to the profit they will get in crypto atm. I wonder though, what will the future present to us? Will it be a future where bitcoin is massively used? We will find that out within 10-20 years from now.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie BTC on: April 06, 2018, 12:24:01 PM
this is big help to me thank you.
This might also help you to know what the requirements are in order to rank up: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0. Since you wanted to join bounties, you will need to rank up to at least full member in order to earn a decent sum of btc, this thread will help you know more about merit system. Also, you are not to late in trying to earn Bitcoin and hold it as it still does not reach it's full potential.

What's the basis for your speculation? News? Market sentiment? If none why have you come up with this conclusion anyway? I am not saying here that you are wrong it's just that there aren't any basis which would make your speculation be a random one. I also think you have posted in the wrong section, since this kind of threads belong to speculation section where this kind of threads is posted. Don't worry a moderator might move this topic for you.
