_______________________________________________________________ Ilia Frankstein Joins SONM Advisory Board_______________________________________________________________  SONM is proud to announce that Ilia Frankstein is joining the team to advise on IT technology and best practices for SDLC, business strategy and corporate governance. Mr. Frankstein will be one of the spokespersons of the company and facilitate communication with the investment community. Tellingly, he is also an investor in SONM. He and some of his close associates have a significant stake in the ICO. Mr. Frankstein believed in the project from the very first day and now he is committed to help SONM succeed.
Mr. Frankstein brings a wealth of international experience and familiarity with various industries, countries and markets. He began his career as a software engineer, working for some of the most successful startups in Israel. After moving to Canada, he was involved in IT consulting for major banks and corporations. Later in his career he switched to investment banking and was engaged in M&A deals and listing companies on the Moscow Stock Exchange. As a successful long term value investor, he wrote for gurufocus.com. Known for his numerous pieces, he was also involved in crisis management and restructuring for Russian enterprises.
Today Mr. Frankstein participates in the most brainstorming sessions on technology with SONM’s CTO Igor Lebedev and other senior software engineers. He will contribute his articles regularly to increase transparency and improve the invenstor community’s understanding of the company’s progress.
His functional experience spans corporate strategy, business development, IT consultancy and project planning. We are overjoyed to have a person with such wide and diverse interests on our team.  _______________________________________________________________ SONM Monthly Report: August_______________________________________________________________ The SONM team has been very busy over the past few months since the ICO closed, and we wanted to update the community on our progress during the month of August. Our development team has implemented several core application features, including discovery, traffic routing, resource management, and GPU support. In addition, we welcomed to the SONM Board of Advisors renowned digital economist Paolo Tasca, who will advise the team on finances and business development. SONM has also added a number of IT experts to the team.
Team expansion:
In July, we hired a CTO from a software development enterprise to establish software development and delivery.
In August, experts in the following fields joined the team:
* Enterprise IT HR manager to search for exceptional talent
* Golang (Go Programming Language) developer for networking and integration
* Senior systems architect to work on the SONM yellow paper
* Developmental and technical strategy advisor (technology selection, continuous delivery, etc).
Our new HR manager has selected two skilled IT systems/business analysts. They will join the team in early September.
We are actively seeking the following positions:
* Chief Product Owner (possibly CPO) with cloud computing expertise
* Architects with cloud computing expertise
* Head of Quality Assurance (QA)
* Experts developers for multiple developer positions
We hope to complete our expansion plans by the end of October. All job openings are published on SONM’s Facebook.
Advisory board:
* Dr. Paolo Tasca, a blockchain consultant to the United Nations and EU Parliament, joined SONM’s advisory board. Dr Tasca will advise the team on business development. His ability to foresee macroeconomic trends and to implement sustainable business models will prove an invaluable asset to the SONM team.
* SONM has publicized its goals on economic rating systems and on cloud data. It also has announced plans to add additional experts to its advisory board.
Development:
August was a busy month for the SONM development team. Our most significant achievements include:
* SONM released its tremendously-improved alpha version. We have completely shipped two releases, the second with updated installation documentation that is meant for technical audit.
* SONM’s code is now stored in a single repository on Github, rather than on multiple repositories.
* SONM successfully integrated the Discovery Algorithm and produced a video introducing the technology.
* SONM researched and implemented a new NAT and routing solution at Hub (IPVS). This will allow for general case traffic handling and port forwarding, among other functions.
* SONM researched and activated GPU support for applications (currently in use for nVidia).
* SONM integrated a configuration scheme using YAML format configuration files.
* SONM implemented a metrics collection system.
* SONM introduced a system that restricts resources for application containers (cgroups) connected to mining.

SONM Alpha 0.2.1.1 Update
_______________________________________________________________ We've received complaints from some members of the community, about the problems with SONM Alpha launch.
So we decided to release patch with some features from the future version to fix the problem.
The patch includes:
• CLI Patch
• Configuration file for CLI
• Сonfiguration files patch for the hub and miner
• Added a text description of the launched task
