Nothing better than selling half the coins i mined for 3+ times the cost of my rental rig... now to wait and sit on the remaining for when the sites go live!
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BBL] BitBlock - 15 ROUNDS OF SCIENTIFIC HASHING - LAUNCHED on: June 29, 2014, 01:17:57 AM
Your work is impressive and I'm grateful for it, however I'm having some issues in setting up a good config for your miner on a rig with 2x R9 280x and 2x 6950. I would very much appreciate any help.

Currently sgminer v5_0 doesn't support multiple kernel per config means you can't use bitblock kernel for 280x and bitblockold kernel for 6950 at the same time  Sad
i might work around to get bitblockold kernel work with 280x too but there will be a negative impact on 280x hash rate Sad

Thank you for replying so quickly.

It's sad, because the "devices" parameter doesn't work also Sad

The devices parameter does indeed work if you use it in the bat command... I use it to disable my APU cores and sgminer starts with -d 0 running and the APU which is on device 1 is noted as off.

My batch...

sgminer --algorithm bitblock -d 0 -o stratum+tcp://bbl.suprnova.cc:3663 -u XXX -p XXX -I 20 --thread-concurrency 21712 -g 2 -w 128 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-vddc 1200 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 50 --temp-cutoff 85 --scan-time 1 --queue 4 --no-submit-stale
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BBL] BitBlock - 15 ROUNDS OF SCIENTIFIC HASHING - LAUNCHED on: June 28, 2014, 07:17:13 AM
With my GPU costing about $1 a day to run... and only mining 2.1 MH/s on supernova since last night and earning only ~3.5 BBL in that time frame... the no profit cost of this coin for the average miner is about 48000 satoshis.

None of us want break even... I personally strive to double my electric cost so selling anywhere below 96K satoshis is a no for me.

For now... its buy time. Wait till this hits a couple of calc sites...

[/opt/X15GPU]:# sh autogen.sh
aclocal: couldn't open directory `m4': No such file or directory
autoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1

Fixed ... plz redownload from git Sad

funny thing ... i'm pretty bad at linux, it took me more time than fixing the bitblockold kernel Sad

how should we set the kernel option. kernel:"bitblock" ? i try it with suprvno.cc pool but it's show all reject share on it

Start it with all your settings in a command line... then when it hashes... S for settings and export the conf file. Then you can see what it shows for kernel.

Actually... my export doesn't even show a kernel: line... and im mining fine since the GPU miner was launched AND on the newer version posted.

same goes here, 2.5 max, what is your config? thanks
For x11, x13 and x15, worksize does important to get better hashrate
I was experienced that 280x gives best hashrate on worksize 64, but 7950 and 270x good on worksize 128

280x - 2.7MH/s
Quote
-I 19 -g 2 -w 64 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-fan 63

270x - 1.7MH/s / 7950 - 2.2MH/s
Quote
-I 19 -g 2 -w 128 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-fan 63 --gpu-powertune 20

7950 2.15 MH/s 58C

-I 20 --thread-concurrency 21712 -g 1 -w 128 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-vddc 1200 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 90 --temp-cutoff 85 --scan-time 1 --queue 4 --no-submit-stale

NOTE: A GPU MINER IS OUT FOR AMD ON THE FORUMS, BUT WE SAW IT CONTAINS A VIRUS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:
<link to archive here>
It is not being listed on our getting started yet because we would like to find a clean source before. You can find infromation in the last posts on the BitBlock ANN.

http://suchpool.pw/bbl/

WTF? Devs have posted ITT miner with a virus?

Yes, it has been flagged by Avast. It probably is false positive, I will modify my ann to avoid raising panic, but still be careful without seeing the source as always.

All three of the first are typical... checking in on the Symantec detection...

EDIT: the fourth is just because Symentec has no reputation data for said file.

The miner appears to work just fine on an AMD 7950 OC Boost Ed.

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
del *.bin
Color 0A
sgminer --algorithm bitblock -d 0 -o stratum+tcp://www.hashharder.com:9678 -u X -p x -I 20 --thread-concurrency 21712 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-vddc 1200 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 90 --temp-cutoff 85 --scan-time 1 --queue 4 --no-submit-stale

http://www.hashharder.com/x15/bitblock address Xmtok6Qgc truncated but still unique here
1.75MH/s in sgminer

are your shares accepted?

You can see it showing my hashrate on the site with the addy string i posted...

Hello guys, First untested release candidate for AMD GPU miner. This is untested, not created by us as well. If any testers want to be the first to test please let the public know on forums right away if all is working well. I just want to stress that it is for testing purposes for experienced testers until they give the go ahead that all is fine with it. Please let the community know asap. Thanks

EDIT: We usually leave the forum un-touched as far as the trolls/haters goes, but wow. for a guy who hates Bitblock so much, he sure does spend a lot of his time on the thread talking about it...shrug...just saying

Also, BBL needs a stabilization period as well since hitting the exchanges. So we will see what happens in the coming days. Smiley

You would think you would also post a base start command...

The posted wallet from testz worked for me... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665809.msg7534353#msg7534353

on Win 7 64 and got my first payout from pool.mn.

This sucks... I rented a bit of hash to point at supernova.cc and the damn transaction refuses to confirm even with a decent miner fee and blockchain showing it as high priority...

Looks like I'm gonna miss launch now...

pools are not up yet ;]

True... but three blocks have gone by already without my tx being picked up... F all these gambling txes I see flying through the chain... killing me...

Interesting... $10 per MH/s and based in Colorado. No idea what efficiency is yet but this has potential.

i've bought some TAC & i'd like to move some off of the ex. sure would be good to find a wallet somewhere  Undecided

THIS IS NOT TAC!!!!!! Make sure you are in the right thread.

While i do see this as you looking obtuse and ignorant, if your plan has always been to pay for the network to maintain after POW is over, rather it be in hardware or purchasing miner power via a pool and implementing merge mining, then so be it. Just realize that no matter what, this means you have centralized this coin, your company's actions will be the only thing that dictates the value, not how much hashpower is on the network and not what you can actually use this coin for... it is going to be tied directly to how successful your IPO campaigns are in their respective markets.

Wait please, i am not saying that our project is to pay lifetime for 0NE network support.
I just gave you a "worst-case-plan-B" , just in case all tasks that need to be done will be turned in an epic fail

Then I fail to see how you can consider this a mid-long term project... when day 30 comes and the last block is mined... there will be no one to move transactions unless your company has dedicated hardware on the network, or you are buying support from somewhere else, be that a pool or other miners.

Either way, without this, no blocks are made, no transactions move and your coins are worthless... somewhere there has to be hashrate, and in order to have it, there will be an expense... and since you MUST keep to no transaction fees... the longevity of this coin is 100% on you to pay for... until you no longer want it to have any value at all.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 0NE project [launch TODAY < 20 minutes]|0NE|Support company details in OP on: June 21, 2014, 06:28:16 PM
Just admit you screwed up implementing this without transaction fees... even if you do make this merge mineable... there will be no profit for the pool doing so without you paying for it... server I/O and bandwidth cost money. Those funds will come out of the IPO which i doubt you planned for.

Your best option is to implement a transaction fee that is mandatory, and then you can think about leaving it to be mined or update it to be merge mined off another pool.

We will NEVER put transaction fees. I may look like obtuse or ignorant with this affermation after your kindly consideration, but 0 fee is mandatory.
Of course we know that hw to keep network will have a cost, but we have so many way to generate income and actually 30 days to "play our match". We will never touch even 0,00000001 0NE mined from the poor miner or bought by a whale. in the worst case we will pay from our pocket. Honestly we are quiet enough about this.
Anyway thanks for keeping this thread alive and sharing your opinion.
