We going to be using #Causecoin on twitter? I'll start using #Trump #Causecoin #crypto #cryptocurrency #bitcoin #Altcoin on my new account
Great idea!
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: July 22, 2016, 04:30:22 AM
Well, the last night of RNC was amazing. Ivanka is the perfect woman, as always.

Donald did a fine job too! You could feel his passion while he was speaking. He was really restraining himself, especially when that protestor acted up. Good for him; very presidential.

Here's to Trumpcoin being a YUGE success! He'll need all the support he can get to defeat that evil witch called Hillary Clinton!!

MAGA!!!

I'm using Windows 10 Home x64. I'll wait for your guys' responses before I proceed with the commands. I'm guessing I should back everything up prior, which I'll do now.
Yes, you should always backup your wallet.

To start Bitcoin Core with -zapwallettxes, first shut down Bitcoin Core. Then right click the shortcut on your desktop and choose "Properties". In the box labeled "Target", click it and move the cursor all the way to the right so that it is past what is already in there. Then type -zapwallettxes. Make sure there is a space between what is already there and what you typed. Then click "OK". Then double click the shortcut and it will start Bitcoin Core with that option. When Bitcoin Core has started, you can remove that option by repeating what you just did but remove instead of type.

So after this command, the unconfirmed transactions will disappear from "Recent transactions" and the BTC will return to my wallet balance?
Yes. You will now be able to spend your Bitcoin as if those unconfirmed transactions had never happened.

Wow, you're amazing! The funds have been returned to my balance. Expect a tip heading your way!

Thanks so much for all of the help, knight!!

YOU ARE THE MAN!!
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Another BTC Transaction.... Predicament? on: July 22, 2016, 03:04:52 AM
You can rebroadcast the previous raw transaction (which I doubt you have) and when it confirm, the transaction you have made will also confirm. If not, you can only use -zapwallettxes to remove the transaction in question. Next, you have to ask the sender of the transaction you received from to send one more time.

Great, thanks for the advice. I actually did try to rebroadcast that first tx w/o the fee, but it failed. So I guess the -zapwallettxes is the way to go at this point.

The transaction you talked about in that thread is the same transaction which is blocking the transaction you are trying to send now. Do you still see that transaction (the one in the other thread) in your transaction list?Do you still need to send those Bitcoin?

I think the solution for you would be to start Bitcoin Core with the -zapwallettxes option. This will clear all of the unconfirmed transactions from your wallet. At that point you can then redo your transactions. It will be as if those two transactions had never happened in the first place.

Starting with -zapwallettxes is dependent on your os. What os do you use?

285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Another BTC Transaction.... Predicament? on: July 22, 2016, 02:35:15 AM
The problem is that it is spending from a transaction that doesn't seem to exist, d890605be31f55e0ce8e748b4b056bc7841aecf51bc95d5d3445799606f85df1. This transaction appears to have been dropped, and because of this, your transaction cannot confirm.

You will not lose any Bitcoin. If the transaction confirms, then it goes to the destination. If it is dropped from the network, then it will be as if that transaction had never existed in the first place.

Thanks knight. Do you know what would cause this even though I paid the recommended fee and "did everything correct," per se? At least, I hope I did.

I'm seriously thinking about switching to another wallet... but not exactly sure if it's the wallet's fault. It's all kind of confusing and not very user friendly.

Also, do you have any idea of a brief ETA on how long the transaction will either reach its destination or drop and be refunded? It'll be refunded right? I'm trying to figure out what "...then it will be as if that transaction had never existed in the first place" means.

Ugh, sorry for all of the questions. This is just frustrating.
It has nothing to do with the fee, although this should not have happened with Bitcoin Core. This is happening due to the way that Bitcoin works.

In order for a transaction to confirm, all of the transactions that it spends from must also be confirmed. What happened here is that one of the transactions you are spending from is unconfirmed, in fact, it has even dropped from the network. Because that transaction is not confirmed, your transaction cannot confirm either, regardless of the fee and priority.

The issue here is that your wallet let you spend from an unconfirmed transaction. This should not happen with Bitcoin Core. The only way that this could happen is if it were spending from the change output of that transaction. This means that one of your recent spends must have not confirmed. Double check your transaction history and see if you see any recent spending transactions that has a low fee.

I sent a transaction on 7/14/16 without any tx fees (which was my fault, I admit). I actually opened a thread for that as well:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1552274

Since then, I have made some successful transactions that went through without any issues at all. It figures the biggest transaction I've ever sent would get stuck like this...

What to do?? I'm totally lost now.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Another BTC Transaction.... Predicament? on: July 22, 2016, 01:00:59 AM
Hmm, I'm reading https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1559125.0

Maybe I'll try that method since it worked for him. But I don't think I should have to do this when I used the recommended fee suggested by Bitcoin Core. Lol, it's all just so messy.

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Another BTC Transaction.... Predicament? on: July 21, 2016, 11:59:37 PM
Hey all.

So, I'm having another issue with a BTC transaction from my Bitcoin Core wallet. This time it is for a larger amount and I think I did everything correct.

Now, I've made quite a few back and forth BTC transactions before with no issues, so I don't know what's going on this time around.

Here are the tx details:

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 7/20/2016 15:43
To: 1FxQ7w5Y45a913tGqw22h9TLM1pbsXa1nc
Debit: -0.09900000 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.00011988 BTC
Net amount: -0.09911988 BTC
Transaction ID: 9965b1c9b0b4e9671b9a356200a8e1b17d987dbf7eed7dc7b6d1fb196aadf2ab-000

I chose the recommended transaction fee amount and it showed up as "High Priority" at first on blockchain.info, so just wondering why this happened:

"Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database."

Only seeing the tx show up on this explorer at the moment:

https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/9965b1c9b0b4e9671b9a356200a8e1b17d987dbf7eed7dc7b6d1fb196aadf2ab/

Do you guys have any recommendations?

I already tried a raw transaction push on https://btc.blockr.io/tx/push & https://coinb.in/#broadcast but they returned the following error codes (respectively):

"There was an error pushing your transaction to network! Did you sign your transaction? Is this double spend? Have you already sent this transaction?"

and

"Missing inputs"

Am I screwed? Should I just wait it out? If so, how long do you think it will take?

Should I try double spending, even though I'm not super technical when it comes to this stuff?

I guess the main question is will this transaction eventually go through to its destination (address owned by me) or returned to my wallet?? I just want to know the 0.099 BTC isn't totally lost! If so, that would really suck and make me a bit salty.

Thanks for reading and I hope someone can help me.

Would it be a good idea to leave out the [MODERATED] from this thread's title?

Can't do that sorry

No such thing as "hidden moderated threads"

So looks like you're stuck with the word moderated

I don't think this is true. I've seen other moderated threads without that in the title. As for being hidden, there's always the "This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated..." disclaimer at the top of each page, so you're correct in that aspect.

Really nice list! I'll be following this because I'm always looking for quality faucets to use myself Cheesy
292  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 20, 2016, 10:24:23 PM
Nice! It looks like the site is up to 433 unique users. Highest reward paid so far has been 750 sats. Total paid as of this posting is 62400 sats.

I do see rewards being collected every few minutes, so hopefully they're by organic users and not bots. I'll be working more on anti-bot protection tonight.

Great thread! Bookmarked.

294  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 20, 2016, 11:41:43 AM
Hey, faucet looks nice, would you like me to feature it on my list at www.cryptocan.ca ? I take a run through this board sometimes just to try and add to our list. But it's your page, and it's up to you Smiley

Also, in agreement with what others have already said, your faucet IS susceptible to bots currently (bots now just send captchas to their respective service or pull them for manual fill, still with 0 chance of ad clicks). Have you seen other simple faucet sites with "Click the anti-bot buttons in this order" with the little bright number or words or whatever? I don't know how to get them but they seem to be a theme of FaucetBOX faucets in particular. This one simple addition is enough to protect you, so look into it!

Hey there Lukkus. I just visited your site and it looks great. I also saw you added my faucet url, so that's very cool!

I'm still researching on how to add some quality anti-bot protection to LeakyBitcoins. I've been monitoring transactions somewhat closely and nothing looks too out of place so far, but I do understand how important it is to put up a fight against the bots.

I've definitely seen that "click these buttons/pictures in order" feature on other faucets, so I'll probably try to incorporate it somehow.

Anyways, thanks for the comment and support Smiley

I also wanted to quickly mention one thing: The traffic on LeakyBitcoins seems like it's increasing exponentially. I'm obviously still determining its profitability, but if users keep helping me out by visiting the site regularly, clicking ads, using my referral links to other sites that I personally use (like Yobit and Crypto-Games), I'll create quite a few of these faucets, all with similar payouts! So let's help each other!
295  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 20, 2016, 12:51:15 AM
Use some anti-adblock system Wink here's a good one http://antiblock.org/

and, you CAN use adsense on your faucet, just put some original text(500+words) and don't incentive clicks, etc

nice gif.. put the gif on topic too Wink

Ty, I added the title .gif to the ANN.

Checking out http://antiblock.org/ right now.

Thanks everyone. Like I said before, I'm very humbled to receive your vote and also extremely excited for what I know is coming.

Bring on the vetting!

Grats and good luck Smiley

I joined you faucet, but I have mostly hourly faucets, never mind though going to the site every one hour is ok  by me.

I removed http://freebitcoinbuilder.com/ which has a pop up that I cannot close, your site takes preference over pop ups.

BTW Adsense pays monthly at least it was worth leaving them on, or better still talk to adsense  when you have some non bitcoin news on a sub page, but make subpage open up first.

I know a faucet owner who talked to ad sense, and walked them through what users had to do.
They approved him after removing him.

Great to hear! I went ahead and removed AdSense altogether, but I may consider contacting them directly to see what options I have. I don't want to risk getting my account banned, since I've had it for 3+ years. I suppose I can create a brand new one and chance it, but I'm not sure if they ban by individual accounts, names or IP addresses.

So, I put up some alternative ads for now. The Yobit.net & Crypto-Games.net ads are basically referral links from my personal accounts. Registering with them would be awesome and help me keep the faucet running strong. The others are from Anonymous Ad, so we'll see how those work out. I've got a bunch of other advertising sites lined up to investigate, but I don't want to add too much clutter.

Also, I changed the SolveMedia captcha difficulty from just "Revenue" to level 1. You guys might have to refresh it a few times to get a readable one, so please let me know how it goes. But hey, even if it's a little more difficult, it's only once every 30 minutes and you have a chance of winning up to 50,0000 sats Shocked

I plan on keeping a somewhat low balance in the faucet to avoid any heavy losses to bots; probably around 1 million sat max. I'll be monitoring everything for suspicious activity and will continue to do research on anti-bot countermeasures.

Feel free to post here with any questions or comments. You can also send me a PM or email leakybitcoins@gmail.com.

298  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 19, 2016, 02:52:21 PM
I went ahead and removed AdSense and bumped the referral commission up to 10%. I'll look into adding some other types of ads later today after I get some sleep Wink

I also plan on making Facebook & Twitter pages for the site, so be on the lookout for that.

You guys shared some awesome advice. I really appreciate it!!
299  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 19, 2016, 02:42:15 PM
100 satoshi was sent to you on FaucetBOX.com. Thnx for coins. You should find other adds for your faucet beause ad sense will ban you, faucets are against their rules. Your security is low, you have only solve media and i think bots will eat your faucet in no time. Besides that, I think rewards are ok because you have chance to win 50000 every 30 min.
cheers

Thank you for testing it. Since there seems to be a consensus on Google banning me, I'll go ahead and take those ads down for now, although I do see Google ads up on other faucets (such as bitcoinaliens.com). Do they know something we don't?

For the captcha, SolveMedia was appealing because it was easy to set up a revenue account. I can see how it doesn't seem like the most secure (mostly simple worded answers), so perhaps I should consider changing that.

The only captcha options for Faucet in a BOX are SolveMedia, reCaptcha, FunCaptcha and Are You A Human. I signed up for reCaptcha, but it doesn't look like you can monetize with it. FunCaptcha rejected my request for revenue-based ads, so I may have to try applying again. I haven't looked into Are You A Human yet, but I probably should.

Keep the feedback coming! I'm still learning Smiley
300  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LeakyBitcoins.com: The Super Simple Bitcoin Faucet with HUGE Rewards! on: July 19, 2016, 02:17:35 PM
Your title say "Huge Rewards" but I see 90% chance to win only 100 satoshi and 6% to win 200 satoshi and today users consider that low reward.Chance to win 1k-50k satoshi are too small and 5% for referral is to low to anybody promote your faucet.

You use FucetBOX script which is vulnerable and completely non-resistant to bots and I not see any anti-bot protection.Generally speaking your faucet currently does not have bright future if something does not change.

I appreciate the criticism. This is my first faucet, so I'm still feeling it out.

I guess the main perk of my site is the "chance" to win up to 50k sats. I've visited other faucets where they just pay 100 sats every 5 minutes, and to me that's kind of boring. Others pay a guaranteed 500-1000 sats every 60 minutes, but even that's a bit boring.

I want LeakyBitcoins to at least be a little exciting, so I chose to go with the gambling aspect where you can win a decent amount if you're lucky.

As for the referral fee, I started out low just to see how it does. What kind of % do you suggest? 10%?

Now, I don't have much experience with FaucetBOX, but I chose to use it since I'm a beginner with MySQL and wanted something user-friendly. I've enabled all of the safety features available, so hopefully I won't have too many issues with bots. Considering I only have a little over 1 million sats in the balance right now, I'll just have to see how it does.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do differently to make it safer?
