As it seems to me, there is a possibility that the BTC price will consolidate in a relatively small range shortly. I guess most users apparently think the same way, as there are quite a lot of bets that have already been placed in the $65k to $70k range. By the way, if the Bears can't break the support around $61k, there could probably be another ATH as early as May.
I see placing bets on the price to be anything but safe around this halving in place. It can go haywire and most likely not go in any favor. Predictions are like that, one side will win but the other side will lose - then there is also the third side where it stays sideways, tough luck to hit the one that would happen in real.

About the FUN token, future seems bleak, even though I am sure many of the forum members have invested in it. I would rather keep coins on the site only to get the base interest and forget about FUN token for the time being.
282  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Best Crypto Investment Opportunities for Passive Income -2024 on: April 17, 2024, 02:44:45 PM
There's risk but there's also a nice ROI. Perhaps I'm taking not your keys, not your coins too seriously. It might be the right time to make some changes in my strategy.
I agree with the Not your keys, not your coin. But there also comes in the question of how much of your bitcoin you can essentially wager for more bitcoin? From where I live, spending crypto for daily necessities is out of the question because there is 30% taxation on crypto transactions and I would rather stash more crypto rather spend any, keeping fiat only for spending needs over bitcoin.

Also because these sites have been running for long, there owners are well reputed on this forum and chances of exit scam are low. It is not worth pondering if they are going scam anytime soon or not but use that time to make the money - lets not forget that time is a factor when considering these investments, lost time = lost money.

284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: April 16, 2024, 04:29:59 PM
I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot.
Well first advice would be to watch those videos with a non-biased mindset. Take the knowledge but dont get stuck to the coins they talk about.

Quote
Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up.
You are taking the wrong road to trading. Everyday we have pump and dump happening on many coins. These are not significant because often there are signals groups and all doing this stuff and if you try to get your hands dirty you will get burnt. Focus more on the top 10 coins, bitcoin as the maximum. Dont chase those short term gains, trading is always for the long term.

Analysis is always going to be a  50-50 game, you can only get an idea about the movement but not a forecast, so use that information with a bag of salt.
285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 16, 2024, 04:22:18 PM
Points well taken but it possible to shape trading in a way that it stays for the long run.

By keeping yourself limited to bitcoin and only long term holding you are essentially taking it slow and calm but making profits as well. So that negates the first two points. Also an exchange can turn scam but most of the big ones are fine for some time, it would be bad luck if they turn scam or exit.

Most people dont get trading, so I dont expect most of them to run it for long either.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 16, 2024, 03:48:06 PM
I think that people who are gambling are going to gamble in public or private, it is just that the urge to gamble follows no rules or bounds. It is not uncommon for people to meet up in dark and shady places after the evening for a round of card games and often there is money involved. Usually these events happen away from the wives and the kids and in lower economic strata.

It is possible they will get beaten up by their household if they find it or they dont want to be a bad influence on their kids.

All of us do end up dreaming on what to do if we ever win something this big. I keep thinking what I would do too, my life is not rainbows or sunshines, just like it is not for billions of people all around the world, literally billions. So just like with everyone else, I would simply just pay my debts and try to live a decent life. I could simply pay my debts and buy a house, that way I would be able to live a better life for the long term.
Those debts came out of a reason right? If you have gambled your way to your debts then you have to pay them back after stopping gambling, you cant possibly have both things running at the same time, even though thats what gamblers attempt to do.

If your debts are due to a different reason and that have been solved now, you should not gamble to make that money back, because its not a guaranteed income, rather save from your salary to pay back.

Of course we all want to dream big, but often we are left only dreaming and not living the reality. Hard work and discipline goes a long way here.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Fever. What are your range of thoughts in response to Lucky Winners? on: April 15, 2024, 10:12:28 AM
The common response I have seen is that I can also be a winner. But as I gradually understood how casinos and gambling work, it came to me that these games are all ending up the same way for almost evryone, a loss of money buying the ticket. The news is made to induce the greed and sense of challenge among the gamblers, so does big wins being posted on social media.

You have to see the logic and then only you can realise that these thoughts are wrong and that no one wins from the casino without losing more already.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: April 15, 2024, 10:08:15 AM
A form of support for someone to stop so that it does not become a gambling addict again can be with many things, besides continuing to provide positive motivation and support such as encouraging beautiful words and can be accepted by a gentle human heart.
It depends on the person as to how they see the incoming statement. Most addicted people are very defensive about their addiction and will not accept the fact that they need help and you have to respect that too if you want to change anything in their addiction. This is a tough mental discussion to pursue and not everyone can do it without being judgemental or angry. Often professional help will be oa use and that is what I usually suggest to any addict who wants help.

Of course the days are not bleak for them, hope is there for such addicted gamblers to become diligent gamblers.

292  Local / India / Re: 22Bet betting site doing scam with me on: April 14, 2024, 09:52:56 AM
This website accepts crypto as payment, so if you have used any cryptocurrency to deposit, then you might want to move the thread to "Scam Accusations" and edit the opening post in their proper format.

If the site is running maliciously, this needs to be reported on this forum for awareness and to the local police for legal action. It might not be just the OP who is being scammed.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: April 14, 2024, 09:47:05 AM
Mate, the common man needs a place to buy bitcoin from and a place to spend that bitcoin on, if they are going to have any use of it. Now most countries in the developing world, have not got these in proper numbers, heck crypto transactions are being taxed heavily in some countries. So the common man is at a loss and they would rather use fiat over bitcoin, than go through all these idiotic paths.

Things might change in future but for now this is what we have. If you dont live in such a country, good for you, but to remind you that many live there too.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt Management. on: April 14, 2024, 09:42:55 AM
I would say dont be in a debt or attempt to make choices in such a way that a debt is never incurred. A debt is a constant headache, at least from my perspective, it makes me uneasy to feel that I owe someone money and have not been able to return it till date, be it a bank or a friend.

The concept of debt management comes in because people dont spend as per their needs and their income. If they did, they would never be at debt at all. There are methods to cut down on expenses but few people actually are diligent enough to employ those.

Try putting your credit card away and manage your expenses in a way that you have some saving at the end of the money - its a rigorous exercise, but it can be done.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 14, 2024, 09:38:08 AM
Most people get addicted with these games without any prior history of addiction because the games are designed like that to stimulate the sense and bring that dopamine rush, which if missed for the next few days brings in craving for that same stimulation.

So Neymar is not exception to that, added to it that in the recent few years, athletes have become more of cry-babies who are given almost everything they want right at the time of asking and never actually have to work for it, this type of addiction does not take much time to settle in.

Still what we need to learn from this is that family and gambling need to be kept way apart or else the former becomes dysfunctional, which we never want.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: April 14, 2024, 09:34:40 AM
I won in the Original game of the Stake.com Crash game before. There's a way to win against the system, it's not being greedy. When you have a faster internet you can somehow cash out faster so that you can win. Those who are satisfied with little profits can make some money here but it will really take long before you feel it.
Are you sure you are talking about the crash game, similar to the one running on bustabit and bc.game? In my opinion it is never dependent on skills but only luck, an EV- game. Try making money back from it using whatever "script" or cheat you try to find, you will lose money no matter what. Fast internet here helps to stop at the time before the crash happens but this is anecdotal, does not influence the actual game at all.

If that was the case then people will fast internet (which is almost universal now) would all have an edge over others, but that is not happening because the casinos are profiting more.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: April 14, 2024, 09:30:15 AM
Casino will gets the biggest advantage than the gamblers because the casino have the business and serves the gamblers with many gambling games.
The casino is having a house edge, that matters. In the long run the house edge's effect becomes more prominent and the total loss of the players is more than the total loss of the casino, eventually making the casino profit more and thus have a positive net output. Hence the casino business is productive in the long run and it is why people like Trump have ownerships in casinos.

Be a part of the casino if you want long term profits, being a player will only bring losses if you dont know when you need to stop gambling.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2024, 11:25:23 AM
Each type of asset has its pros and cons and none of them are superior than another. Since bitcoin is new to this group compared to the rest, it might be getting the maximum support in this forum, but in the outside world, this might not be the case because the forum represents a small section of the entire population of this world.

Hence my opinion is to keep all these assets in in your portfolio, no matter the cost, all are important, because you never know which one will be useful than the other. Bitcoin is not accepted or easily spendable in every country while fiat is, again fiat is affected by inflation with bitcoin is deflationary, fiat is difficult to carry but gold bars are easy to carry and have a high value.

Hence a diligent investor knows their assets and does not become partial to one.
299  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Best Crypto Investment Opportunities for Passive Income -2024 on: April 13, 2024, 10:59:00 AM
My investments on bustabit and former MoneyPot have been very much positive. Moneypot was able to turn 1BTC to 1.04 BTC in a month or so and BAB investment is ongoing with a projected interest rate of ~20% per annum as per my calculations. Short term ups and down are common but the overall graph is going upwards.

However my experience with bitvest has been poor and I seem to lose all the earned money to the commission there so I decided to pull out after a couple of months. Freebitcoin is a fixed daily interest and is the most stable of all these four.

I am not sure why you wrote "sea shells" instead of clams when addressing Just-dice's Notes though.
I miss the old crypto-games investment scheme, it was giving me 50% in a year.
300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 12, 2024, 03:24:39 PM
P2P trading and trading on CEXs are a bit different. The former is mostly for those who are only trying to buy/sell and not have the prospect of re-exchanging that back hoping for a multiplication of the original capital, which is true for the second one.

However long term hodl and P2P might work hand in hand to be close to trading in the long run but maybe not in the short term. I have nothing against P2P but getting trusted people to deal with is tough and bank freezes and all that are another pain in the rear.

However for those who are trading regularly, for some zero profits or even losses might continue for months, for them stopping rethinking the decision to trade for money on only trade to get the opposite asset is important.
