281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: my vertical mining case/frame on: November 01, 2017, 10:06:05 PM

They actually use Colorful boards, which are like $40 in bulk, and server PSU's that cost them 50$ with the breakout and cables, a 40$ CPU's with a 30$ stick of RAM, so their total systems costs them $160.
Cant beat that price and efficiency, and it sure beats a 12/13/19 GPU build in stability.

Ah, my bad ... not an Asrock board then. $160 isn't a bad price, wonder what they get the GPUs for in a bulk purchase - dealing direct with the manufacturer ... prices we can only dream of  Roll Eyes

I heard from a contact that since that batch of RX 570's they flew in from China directly, a 6 X 570 system costs them under $1300 all inclusive, while it costs me over $2100 Sad

Whats the XMR hashrate on a 1800x CPU and 299 is a great deal for one right?
3.6 ghz 8 core
// what mobo do you guys rec for a amd chipset mining build? How much extra power do I need to allocate for this CPU
Asus prime b350 plus seems nice?
This would only do 4 cards, it has 4 PCIe and 2 PCI slots, which cant be used for mining.

Biostar tb350 btc seems to have eh reviews?
This would definitely be better if you want to do 6 cards per system.

This sort of idea caught my eye a while back, it's not too dissimilar to the way Genesis Mining build their rigs:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUs3Z1z0TvA

Looks like they are using Asrock Pro BTC boards with their own custom software/os on USB stick.

286  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: ethx.in : Secure Ethereum Wallet & Exchange for Indian Residents [Invite Inside] on: October 27, 2017, 07:41:27 PM
Minimalistic/clean Interface and quick Account/KYC approval. This looks different from a typical exchange, I dont see a sell order/ buy order list.
Will test it for a few days and post a review here. Any plans on adding other Crypto or as the name suggests this will continue to be Ethereum only?
In any case, good to have one more player in the Indian market. Best of luck.
287  Local / India / Re: Any exchange ti buy eth in india? on: October 27, 2017, 07:30:27 PM
Why do you necessarily have to buy from India ? You can use your credit card and buy off sites like cex.io  ( 3.5% markup on currency conversion will be charged by your credit card company if you are having one issued in India )

cex.io has an insane delta between selling and buying prices and very large fees, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
288  Local / India / Re: Any exchange ti buy eth in india? on: October 27, 2017, 07:28:44 PM
These are the 3 exchanges where you can buy/sell Eth in India afaik
EthexIndia.com - Been around for a while, stable, somewhat slow service, not accepting new accounts for the last 3 monhts
Koinex.in - New players, Multi Crypto ptrading platform, relatively fast processing of sales and deposits/withdraws
Ethx.in - Newest kid on the block, clean and simple interface, Only for Eth ( for now ), Biggest pluses - fast processing and can use credit cards

290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ** Breaking News ** Run 12 AMD GPUs on Windows on: October 25, 2017, 09:11:54 PM
What is point to have lots of cards if drivers not included dag fix?
Nice that peoples from amd start to working for us miners who made their sell rates record level, but they not working enought.  Sad

The driver that enables 8+ AMD cards also has the DAG fix built in, so I don't know what you are complaining about ...
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 25, 2017, 02:07:30 PM
Hi guys,

I'm totally new to this, I was able to get 26.xxx MH/s on modded Bios and OC for MSI RX580 8GB Gaming X on ETH only.

Now I want to do dual mode but once I ran the script, it hangs.

My code is below:

Quote
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:14444 -ewal 0x739b8012f896721EC6b9b9E23C389d48ea628CCC.Riku4515 -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://lbry.suprnova.cc:6256 -dwal username.workername -dpsw password
The CMD just hangs and froze.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Maybe add in your LBRY Wallet address?
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a Ethereum farm and need Rx 570 and 580 gpus on: October 24, 2017, 09:38:20 AM
Dear,

I am on the way to build a small farm with 500 gpus, my selects are RX 570 and RX 580 with the total is 500 gpus. But I dont know where to buyvit in the USA. Could you help me to find a supply?

500 is a lot, contact manufacturers like MSI, ASUS directly and you will get shipments delivered to you.

I've spent many hours combing these forums and the net for ideas on different builds. I feel confident enough to post what I think will be a good starter rig.

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 9 GPUs in Windows ok, but Miner won't start on: October 22, 2017, 03:50:28 PM
well ... well ... look what just happening .... ppl with a little bit more knowledge than you have , starting to discovering the possibility of windows 10 and 8+ GPU's  Grin ... as i mentioned to you earlier, of course its take some time ... for some ppl a little bit longer ( for you maybe a year ) ... for some ppl who know what and how to do a little bit sooner  Grin

Sooo your claims of having run 8+ GPUs a months ago with no proof/not even a screenshot whatsoever, followed with nonstop shittalking is somehow justified today because Microsoft enabled 8+ gpus in a Windows update?
I can claim that I invented anti-gravity shoes, refuse to give anyone any proof, wait till the day they are invented to come back and shout from the rooftops "See some people with more knowledge have started to discover anti gravity boots".
I feel sad for you, you must have little else to derive any pleasure/sense of accomplishment from, so im going to walk away and let you enjoy your moment of "Sound Logic".

I wish I was near my rigs, im dying to try this out. I need to see if this works with Nvidia non-mining cards, and then for AMD cards.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 19 GPU ASUS Motherboard on: October 21, 2017, 05:59:51 PM
I sold off all my GPU's over 2 years ago, didnt seem worth it

So .. you sold off GPU's right when GPU mining took off again ...
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: October 21, 2017, 02:05:36 PM
Powering up this small guy to test in the next few hours.... keep fingers crossed.

Super interested in the results, I am assuming this is powered similarly to the Pandaminer, so the 7 PCIe plugs take in all the power the board needs, and route it the PCIe out plugs as well which can be used to power the cards, correct?

This one is a little more confusing, I do not see any power inputs on this board besides the 24pin and 8 pin, so the Molex and Sata connectors are powering the 8 x16 PCIe slots as well as the 4 1xPCIe ? Thats a lot of load on just 6 power-in connectors for a board supporting 12 cards ... the older Onda 6 slot board needed 3 molex and 3 sata, so ina  way one for reach slot.
I'm not sure if PCIe slot power hungry cards like the 470/480 will work on this board.
Also the Molex/Sata inputs rule out the possibility of a pure Server PSU/picoPSU kinda setup, so that kinda sucks.

In any case you guys, this is thoroughly interesting, do keep us posted on your progress with either of these boards.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Plz Help with MSI Armor 470 8g Hynix mod on: October 21, 2017, 09:56:52 AM
Some people just found a batch of MSI Armor Rx 470 8gb cards, which have been out of production for a while so surprised me, but these cards are a pain to mod, almost no straps/clocks work well and the default memory timings on these cards are horribly bad, so copy pasting them to lower bands does not work.
Luckily for you, I have modded these cards for people before, and was able to get these cards to 27.5mh/s.
Here's the strap that I use :
777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17
Open your BIOS in PBE, and copy paste this strap to 1750 and above. Then using something like OverDriveNTool (Or MSI AB beta 16+), and then set core to 1075, mem to 1875, both at 900mv. Then push it slowly, I was able to get 1075/900 core and 1925/930mem stable on all cards that came to me. Best of luck.

300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A question about present and future on: October 19, 2017, 12:44:56 PM
OK. Can anyone please let me know what would be the optimum specs?

I have ASROCK H81 PRO BTC v2.0 mobo, HX1200i PSU, Intel G3220 CPU, 4 GB DDR3.

Your config is great, no problems there, its just that your electricity cost is pretty high for mining, so your profits will not be significant till alt-coin prices go up.
