They look new and work just fine although I decided to clean the miner by compressed air and now one hashing board only has 48 chips working instead of 63. I knew I should've cleaned it!   . If you have the link that you could give me in order to send this board for repair in the U.S, I would really appreciate it! But yeah the control boards work just fine, I even tried and installed 2 new boards on the miner just to make sure that it wasn't a faulty control board and that it really was the hashing board that messed up. No problem my friend! I'll let you know as soon as I get them and install one. Don't know if it will fit your miner, I've never even seen an S9 with a 2 piece control board. In mine it just slides out after pulling back 2 little metal locks on the sides (One board) At the same time I'm pretty sure it is compatible and will work as long as you manage to install it on the miner somehow. In my opinion it should work and auto tune the hash boards that you have as long as your miner 11-12, 12.5-13, 13.5-14 th model. But you should Definitely consult the guy before you buy and I'm sure he will tell you. In any case the buyer protection is working on Aliexpress and you will get the money back if something doesn't work but you need to ask first. I bought some new bulbs for headlights once and they were like 2 days late so they gave me the money back. I'll let you know. Yes, I'm sure it will work on mine. The newer control boards are all one piece. Bitmain sent me a link to buy one this morning and wanted $60 but said it will ship within 20 working days. I don't want to wait that long and will spend the extra $$ to get it in a week. Mine attaches the same way as yours. My old one just had an additional black board that plugged into the green The new ones do away with the black board and everything is self-contained on the green board. Thanks so much for the info! You know this is the second time I buy a control board to replace and first time I got one on eBay and ended up paying like $185 with express shipping but the bastard didn't even had the board on hands and ended up sending it to me 20 days after I've made the payment!!! And I've received it like 27 days after  . I was so freaking pissed because I've lost like $400 while waiting for it!!! . This is the sellers name by the way "kurniaboss888". Anyway after another miners control board broke i stared looking for another place to buy because there is no way I would wait that long again! And pay that much when they are like $70 from bitmain (of course they never have it in stock). Nobody is complaining.  . Tomorrow I'm getting the replacement control board for my S9, it is already in the local DHL office! Very cool! I know that feeling of getting a replacement that makes "things" right again! I NEED a control board for one of my early batch S9's. It is the two-piece type and I believe it is the Beagle bone Black board that has failed. (It has some melted plastic on the back of the card that makes me think that is the culprit.) I did swap it out with another S9 controller and that seems to be the problem. So I have one S9 totally off-line. It will only have two working hash boards when I get it back on-line. I'll worry about a board repair/replacement later. My MAIN question is:: Where did you get the board from??? I have just in the last hour put in a ticket with Bitmain and Bitmain Warranty looking to get a repair or replacement for the board. Neither of these companies list it as being in stock. for 3 blocks i got only 0.003 after 3 days with 26 th that s not good
That just means that you haven't mined long enough to get your 5Nd average up. If you stick around for longer you will get at least around 0.004 per block with your 26th but then of course the block size and the size of the pool will affect your reward. If you would have been mining for like 3 more days prior to the 3 you're talking about you would have had around 0.0045-0.0047 reward per block, that's around $20 per block which is excellent for your 26th! Mine on!  |

I have been mining on kano.is since June and I have to say I am very happy to be part of this community! I've been reading this forum on a daily basis as it spread the good vibe and gives a lot of important insights.
Below is maybe bit off the topic, but since there is so many very experienced users maybe someone would be able to help.
I have recently bought Ledger Nano S and sent my BTC into it. I also have a small investment in Dash and LTC, I have transferred them (presumably) as well from the exchange.
Now I can see the BTC and Dash but when opening LTC it shows BTC account instead. I have uninstalled all of them and installed back several times but this doesn't help. Tried to contact manufacturer but the automatic email says I can wait up to few weeks to reply due to the high volume o queries?
Anyone experienced any issue like this?

Hey Majic, I just got a couple of these my self. One I purchased in France and it was taking to long to get so I bought one in the U.S with faster shipping so now I got 2 and from what it looks I will be needing both because it can only load like 5 apps max before it's out of space, which really sucks! Concerning your issues not sure how to help you and I can only recommend waiting for the reply from support because the only other thing you could do is restore your wallet using your private key, which I doubt would help. Did your LTC app opened just fine at first, or it has always opened into btc? I myself will be contacting them because the ethereum app just won't load and I've tried to reinstall it several times..... Good luck |

Hi, Been with Kano since about May and love the forum chatter. I have an S9 and one of the hash boards has gone west. It still powers on but fails to hash. The other two boards are fine. Bitmain Hong Kong say send the full miner back and they will repair it. I live in the UK so that will be expensive, plus I lose the hash power of the remaining boards. I contacted Bitmain Warranty Colorado,USA. They say send the board they will repair for between $90 and $300 depending on the problem, and give a (massive ) 30 day warranty! Does anyone have any experience with this outfit? Thanks, G. I've had 3 S9's which broke during the warranty period, out of 8 that I bought and I had to send them back to China and pay like $80 for each shipment by EMS (that was the cheapest option in my region) DHL and UPS wanted like $160!!! And then I had to wait for a couple of weeks for them just to confirm that they have received the packages after they were delivered. Then I had to wait another month or so to get them back! So if you live in the U.S then I think the Colorado is your best option. I don't think that they'll charge you $300 for the repair as long if the whole board isn't Fried. Besides you won't be left with no hash at all for a few months. And the hash that your 2 working boards put out will make up for the money payed for the repair of the third in less than a month. I just lost another unit 3 days ago because another control board went out and just ordered 3 more control boards from China, couple for replacing and one to keep just in case. The control boards seem like the weakest part in my miners, I think they burn out when the electricity gets shot of and on too often. It is the 3rd time I'll be replacing one on my miners. Hey guys just switched over to Kano, been doing a lot of reading and found that Antpool was racking me over the coals. I was getting about $40 payouts per day there. How often does Kano Payout or when can expect my first payout.. Just received a couple little ones but can't quite wrap my head around the PPLNS. Sorry I'm a complete newb here
How much TH you got? Here you will need to keep mining for a few days until you reach the 5Nd, only then you will start getting payed for the full potential of your total TH. Go to the workers tab then click shift graph there you will see the 5Nd field marked in red and you will see a tiny horizontal red line on the right side of which it says AV. That's your average TH that you get payed for when the next block is found. Just wait for a few days to reach your max average hashing power, that is all. Then Master Kano will start sending you nice and fat amounts of btc, as soon as the block confirms and (usually but sometimes faster) when the next block is found. So ho much TH you said you have? Welcome aboard! |

Haha, if it works I agree Heh - and here I thought the cause was that I'm in Tokyo Well since Carl and I seem to do the 2 main shifts reporting blocks quickly, anyone else who sees a block now has a good chance to post first I mentioned a little while ago about being in Tokyo and Beijing soon - well that's now. No one on the forum responded about being here though - oh well. If anyone is in Tokyo or Beijing over the next 10 days let me know and I'd certainly be happy to meet up and have a sit down meal and a chat. Yes I'll pay for anyone who's been mining on the pool if that incentive helps in any way (that's always the plan if I do ever get to meet any miners) I was wondering how come I get so lucky lately on getting to report a block first, and yesterday 3 blocks! Usually you or Carl always beat me by a few seconds! . I thought you guys were sleeping or something! My brother just came back from Tokyo, he and his kids went to Disney Land there. From what I saw is an incredible place with clean streets and everything in a very nice order. I've just been in Shanghai and Guangzhou China, which was awesome too! |

Love it! Been searching this topic regarding the payouts, and the fee's when using the mined BTCs. My wallet gave me this warning: http://support.exodus.io/article/71-i-receive-btc-mining-payouts-why-are-the-fees-so-high. Searching this topic I did not really found a good answer to that. Sorry if I missed it, but could somebody explain what up with all this? And how I can maximise the usage of my mined Satoshis? Not sure what it's all about but what I can tell you is that you shouldn't pay a penny for receiving your btc! Whatever Master Kano sends me is exactly what I get in my wallets! Me personally, I give a btc address of one of my online wallets/exchanges, such as Coinbase and when I get the right amount on there I sell them if the price is good or transfer them to my Cold Storage Ledger wallet because there it is safe. And welcome aboard if your planning on mining with us! Receiving is not the issue, Master Kano is generous ;-). It is the using of the very small received transaction which is the challenge. Also see gecox22's response to my question. Are you avoiding these combination fees with your Kano2Coinbase2PersonalWallet way of working? PS: I indeed plan on keeping mining with you guys. At first I tried to send directly to my Cold storage Ledger wallet but when I tried to send them from the ledger in order to sell them it took like 24 h and the fee was high too I which I didn't like so I wrote to Ledger support and they told me that the problem is because I'm sending the Mined funds directly to my cold storage, which I shouldn't be doing and advised me of sending my mined coins to some exchange first before having them transferred to my Ledger so I did that. Now everything is working like a charm! And don't worry about sending your coins to some reputable exchange, it is perfectly safe. Just don't keep too much there for too long, for example I don't let over 1 btc accumulate on there and transfer them to the cold storage if I have't sold them yet. I hope you enjoy mining here! |
