One cannot completely say panic is over because anything is bound to happen. It could be that more people are holding their bitcoin or they are trying to apply what I called " wait and see approach " which the outcome could be positive or negative or maybe the price will return to what it was at $2500 or there abouts.
Price is moving now and in next few days we may again cross the price of $2500 so even if you buy at current price then also you can make good profits in quick time so I think this is a good time to buy bitcoins as price can go higher after the August 1. I think it would be better right now to make some investments, then trading cryptocurrencies, because when you are making investment to any of the virtual currency you start searching and comparing information about different currencies. The 85% you are talking about is just the intention to implement the SegWit (91.0% as of now, according to Coin Dance website). But no one knows whether this support level will remain at the time of implementation. But if it is implemented, then the exchange rates may zoom upwards by anywhere from 50% to 150% of the current levels. Most of the people have their vote that at 1st august the price of bitcoin will at $2500 and will continue to grow. I am also of the opinion that it will happen when the segwit happen then people will start again to get bitcoins and exact on that same day the price will jump higher for to reach to more than $3000.
My opinion is same.As many has eager to know the price increase of bitcoin after August 1.It may reach 3000$ or more than that.If you want to brought bitcoin means brought now .Because you will get very huge profit after August 1.No doubts in that. Bitcoin is currently decreasing in it market value because there is panic of what the outcome of 1st August meeting would be. Some quarter are of the believe that there is going to be a split by 1st August which will invariably affects the market value of Bitcoin negatively. Am still holding my bitcoin and even buy more. I believe it will still decline to maybe around $1,050 to $1,300 but it will definitely bounce back. yes no doubt that currently the price of bitcoin is decreasing because of a little bit panic selling int he market. i am sure that with the passage of time and specially after 1st August the price of bitcoin will start increasing. Are you have looked LTC after SegWit? In my opinion, Bitcoin will do that too, maybe the price will around under $2000 in short time or have panic selling ... Why do we talking about crash? Actually things will be better after the august 1st. BTC whatever happens won't lose its popularity, certainly won't return to 2014. This is just misconception. Price can vary few days but as soon as situation settles we will see another good pump to 6k.
I must say some scenarios are very realistic and can influence your decisions if you are insecure, i would recommend you to read longer term predictions for BTC.
