281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ☃☃☃ The .01 Theory ☃☃☃ on: December 13, 2017, 03:27:55 AM
Most people own less than .01 BTC

The fees to sell or transfer this .01 BTC is getting absurdly expensive and will continue to rise. My theory is the fees will become so high that most people will just hold onto their BTC rather than sell. Especially when the cost to send .01BTC cost more than .01BTC. Eventually the addresses holding huge amounts of BTC will start to sell. It will clog the blockchain and fee prices will sky rocket even more. The transfers will take longer and longer to confirm and everything will get "stuck". I believe this will fuel more and more panic selling as everyone tries to cash out at the same time.

What do you think about bitcoin fees and the .01 theory?  Shocked

I think the theory that most people earn less than .01 in BTC is probably right. Does it even matter in the real Bitcoin world? Is there enough attention given to it? I think it does not and it is also being set aside as an issue. But it should actually be given importance. Why? Because we want Bitcoin to become what it is supposed to become. However, I think we cannot easily get away from this situation because the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and rise up to a point when Bitcoin will not be spent anymore. Or might be spent only on things that are so expensive such as a Lamborghini.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2017, 02:26:49 AM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

There are several reasons why Bitcoin is fully embraced by a whole lot of people, especially right now that the value of Bitcoin has reached to a different level. But as for me, I think the reason why I am really impressed by this technology is the 100% transparency that it provides. The blockchain technology, which is like a public ledger which everyone can see and check whether an address is making transactions, is a very amazing invention.
283  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dota 2 play for money on: December 12, 2017, 11:56:31 PM
I am a Dota 2 player myself and I think this is a very great innovation in case this will materialize. Here in my country, there are so many Dota 2 players as well. But of course, we cannot be assured that everyone of them will engage in some kind of gambling while playing but the surest thing is that there will be a big portion of the players that will definitely bet. My understanding is that you will allow players themselves to bet on their games and not outsiders simply betting on existing games.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMG what happend with Litecoin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 12, 2017, 02:24:07 AM
Enjoy it while it lasts Litecoin could drop back down to $80 anytime.

Do you have some valid bases as to your prediction that Litecoin's price will fall back to $80? I am as dumbfounded to learn of Litecoin's sudden growth as to your speculation that it will drop back as low as $80. But be that as it may, what we can see as of the moment is a very bullish Litecoin. I don't know the very specific detail that caused such quick jump in Litecoin's price. Perhaps people are now convinced of its viability as compared to some other coins?
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: December 12, 2017, 01:40:58 AM
To be honest, I am a little bit surprised of the very fast appreciation of the value of Bitcoin. Although of course I am expecting Bitcoin to have a bullish growth because the Christmas season is a season of investment and a lot of money is expected to inflow. However, what really surprised me are the large strides. I was not expecting a $15,000 price for Bitcoin within 2017. I thought Bitcoin would only go a little beyond $10,000. But of course, at the end of the day, we are glad of Bitcoin's growth.
286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: December 11, 2017, 07:09:29 AM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?

That is a very relevant question you have. But all in the answers are found in your subject topic. Everything will boil down into one single matter: Time Management. Everything is a matter of dividing your daily time wisely and properly so that you will have enough time for each single daily task and your some other responsibilities. Avoid allotting time to some unnecessary things such as too much social media just to know how other people are spending their days. These are waste of your time.
287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start with Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 11, 2017, 06:30:46 AM
I want to start  trading , should  i buy Bitcoin or Etheureum first ?

You may actually buy either of the two. Whether you start trading by buying Ethereum or Bitcoin will not matter so much. What is more important apparently is that you start acquiring your first cryptocurrencies for you to finally be able to start trading. There are always more coins for trading with Bitcoin rather than with Ethereum but of course for a beginner like you it is better to feel the experience first. You are still in the learning stage.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is garbage. on: December 10, 2017, 02:53:12 AM
I don't care how people would look at and even treat Bitcoin. I have learned my lessons and continue to hold on to my Bitcoins. Bitcoin has been called every single name in this world and where it is right now? It is high above every single cryptocurrency. And that is more than enough for me to buy even more if my savings would only allow it. As for now, I am contented with the growth of my portfolio's value which is mostly brought by the growth of Bitcoin's value as well.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bubble on: December 10, 2017, 01:04:14 AM
Bitcoin now is too big for a bubble or the risk is ever the same?

I don't think that Bitcoin is a bubble. The appreciation of its value is a testament that it would continue to exist and gather more and more support as it grows. There is no way Bitcoin would suddenly burst and loses all its value instantly. That is what a bubble means. Bitcoin is definitely not like that because the backing of real people and investors are the ones that fueled its continued existence and growth.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am i too late on: December 09, 2017, 05:33:03 AM
is now too late to invest on bitcoin ?

No, it is not yet too late for you to buy Bitcoins. Do not be discouraged with its very high price because that is normal for a coin whose potential users and followers are slowly getting into it. The total supply of Bitcoins will remain the same after so many years so you have no problem of it getting into a point that it would become useless. The demand is high and yet the supply is fixed. That is a fact.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: TIME FRAME TO REACH $25,000 on: December 09, 2017, 04:51:53 AM
Coupled with the rate at which the price of bitcoin has been increasing lately. I'd like to know how long it would take bitcoin to reach $25k since it took it just a year to rise from $1k to $10k(which was pretty cool and fast) but I doubt if it can rise as fast as that again

I think Bitcoin went as high as $19,000 during the month of December. Or was it only $18,000 plus? Either way, with that rise in Bitcoin's value, it is not hard to think that $25,000 will be achieved within January to March 2018. If Bitcoin will achieve $20,000 within December, no doubt the $25,000 will easily follow. Perhaps it will happen not later than February of 2018. Let us just wait.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another hack, learned the lesson yet? on: December 07, 2017, 09:13:12 AM
You might already know that NiceHash got hacked and over $60 million were stolen. That probably wouldn't happen If people withdrew their funds on at least weekly basis. The price is increasing at the moment so we might see more inside jobs or hacks in the future, even for small sites. I'm asking for everyone to withdraw their funds from online services where they don't control their private keys and put them somewhere safer (Electrum, Mycelium,Ledger nano S, Trezor, Paper wallet etc.)

People never learn. That is the fact we cannot deny. People invest in ICOs, they ended up scammed. Why? Because they do not even read whitepapers. But by the next time they invest in ICOs, do they already read whitepapers? Still not. The same is true with wallets. Sometimes, people even hold Bitcoins and altcoins using exchange wallets which are basically very unsafe because they do not even have the control on it. And yet until now they are still doing it. And whining.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin 10.000$!!!! What's Next? on: December 06, 2017, 08:26:25 AM
"What if hedge funds buy bitcoin as an investment?"
"What if investors use bitcoin as a store of value?"
"What if bitcoin is used primarily as a currency?"
Bitcoin is not yet used primarly as a currency, and not much investors use bitcoin as a store of value. But in the actual market, the exchange boost the bitcoin price to the moon with new records every day. What's next with this crypto madness?  Can we still discuss bitcoin as a Bubble?

Share your ideas about Bitcoin in the actual Market.

Right now, Bitcoin is used more as a store of value than as a currency. It is treated by, I guess the majority of Bitcoin holders, as an asset rather than a digital money. And now that Bitcoin has gained more and more popularity, there are more number of investors in Bitcoin. They are still looking at Bitcoin as a form of asset whose value will multiply in the months and years to come. This is also observed by major financial groups.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: December 06, 2017, 07:26:26 AM
Bitcoin may use social media to promote its use and features. This is highly effective the way I look at it. It is because, majority of the world's population is already into social media. As a matter of fact, there were several surveys done in the past in which the findings is that a big chunk of the 24 hours of people, especially to those who belong to developing countries, are consumed by browsing or generally using social media. The thing however is that we should also be careful because social media nowadays are overused or even improperly used. There is a danger of misleading information or understanding.
295  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: December 05, 2017, 12:37:41 AM
What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH

Of course, Bitcoin will definitely win. Take a look at how both coins are performing. Bitcoin is up there. Ethereum is still down here. Bitcoin is already approaching $12,000 while Ethereum is still trying to take the $500 away. We all know that Ethereum is still less than Bitcoin until now, despite the fact that they promoted their coin with much hype. That is why some people are saying that Ethreum is founded on an artificial hype.
296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: December 04, 2017, 11:31:24 PM
Now when BC is sky high and ETH also pretty high. DO people even give their real money for those currencies. I mean give 300$ for 1ETH or 6000$ for 1BC is too much for most people.
I mean how often do people buy crypto currency like ETH and BC

You know, there are so many rich people who are into Bitcoin. There are so many rich investors behind crypto. They must have shelled out some significant amount of real money for their crypto investments. I for one have also bought my first Bitcoin with my real money savings. No matter how expensive it is, we still consider it worthwhile because the growth of Bitcoin is really very fast. So I don't mind releasing some amount from my pocket.
297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose good coin!? on: December 04, 2017, 02:35:42 AM
Everyone says trading is easy, you have to pickup a good coin and then invest your money there..Will you guys, please tell me how I know it is a good coin or bad? What certain things I should check about that coin? What types of information helps me to know the coin is good?

The easiest way is to look for the coin in the list of top coins. Make sure you are looking at a reliable list. Coinmarketcap.com is one of the good sources of information of this kind. If the coin is included in the top 10, they are for sure perfect choices for investment. In the top 20, still good and very promising. This will even include the top 30 coins. But most of all, try to monitor their projects' development and progress. You will see there what they are preparing and doing.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: December 03, 2017, 08:33:15 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

Well, in a way, Bitcoin is also able to help some people in terms of their financial freedom. But that is basically indirect because Bitcoin, when it was conceived, was generally for the sake of getting away from the banks and central powers. I would even go far as to claim that Satoshi Nakamoto did not consider Bitcoin to become some sort of an asset whose value will rise so high in so quick a time, so much so that people would no longer use it and its features. Right now, only a few percentage of Bitcoin owners are also actual users. That is certain.
299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: December 03, 2017, 06:43:58 AM
Trading is perhaps the most effective way to grow your Bitcoin. I think more than anything else, the profit that crypto trading will give us is indeed huge. But it does not mean to say that we should focus all our investments in Bitcoin. It is always a good advice to diversify crypto investments. It is also a good way to increase Bitcoin holding by investing in good altcoins. Altcoins could grow as big as 200% in just a couple of days. That is now very hard to imagine in terms of Bitcoin's value.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: December 03, 2017, 05:23:57 AM
The advantages of Bitcoin for me is that it provides us a way to pay the things that we need without using the traditional method that needs to pass through some intermediate agencies. A peer-to-peer form of payment, Bitcoin is providing the ultimate power of commerce in the people's hands. They are the ones dictating on the rules and terms unlike in the traditional method wherein the banks and the governments are the ones setting the terms and conditions of almost everything.
