guys tell me if you believe that someone won big win?? Mostly account made same day when they post about big win.. and after that they are inactive..  Grin

probably admin made some account to on freebitco.in and give itself big win then came here to post ..  Cheesy

Actually, it's more likely that one legit user has mutliple accounts. Not something we condone but hard to police. The FreeBitco.in admins don't gain anything but posting here daily. And the reward wetsuit offer does provide incentive for long time lurkers and first time posters to create an account and make the post.

I received a great question on our Gambling board thread regarding if we will improve our user interface. It's something we've been pondering. What thoughts do you all have?

Specifically, what elements of the current user interface are confusing, awkward, redundant, or time consuming?

Please PM me!

We'd love to get your feedback!

Why dont they change site layout for better interface?

Is it so important thing to do? Their layout is good already, no need to be changed. Just curious, what do you think would be a better interface for freebitcoin? Could you imagine it on a picture?

This doesn't prove you won the lottery. Send us a screenshot of the email announcing your win and please include the date/time and your user ID.

Thanks!

Congratulations! you have won the first prize of 2.44943477 BTC in the weekly lottery draw at FreeBitco.in! The amount you won has been added to your balance on the website and can be withdrawn anytime. We hope that you will let others know about your win as that would help us become more popular. You can use your referral link (https://freebitco.in/?r=3093253) when you let people know so that you receive 1 free lottery ticket for each FREE PLAY roll that your referred users play!.

i love it Grin

If this is a lottery win and note you received, please share a screen shot with us all. The first prize amount seems too high for this to be a super recent win...maybe earlier this year or late last yer, but not in the last month.

Thanks!

...and a direct update from wetsuit!

Thanks for your patience during this downtime.

Sorry about the downtime guys, we had a pretty large DDOS attack directed towards us. When stuff goes wrong, its 20 servers that need to be checked and services rebooted. We handle more bets than pretty much all other dice sites combined (60 million+/day and nearing 80 million for today) so it's not as simple as just restarting a single server.

Even after the issues we had this last 30 days (probably our worst 30 days ever in terms of downtime) we have had an uptime of 99.5%. We do aim for 99.9%+ but it is not always possible.

The free btc bonuses have not been finalized yet, the numbers still need to be worked out. The bonus will stack with the reward points bonus so you can have both running to maximize your rolls. However the free btc bonus is only guaranteed for the next roll and if after that your requirements fall below the threshold, the bonus will be reduced as well. Just to make things clearer, the picture below shows the maximum your faucet can be boosted to with the current prices.

@Food2, how long did you experience the outage?

Please PM me to give me that detail. If you lost out on the use of your spent RPs we may be able to do something.

Thanks.

Anyone else having trouble accessing Freebitco.in right now?

The site is working but experiencing too much slow response and sometimes will turned into bad gateway. My internet connection is good and Im even streaming and downloading while Im tyyping this so the problem is on the site itself. Hours ago the site is fine and smooth.

Maybe try again later. No chance to access it smoothly at this time.

Hmmm. Ok. I hope they do a 5x RP event on the weekend or something because I just spent like 4800RP on RP multipliers and faucet bonuses, and I probably won't even be able to use them now, lol.

Edit: Site is loading for me now.
290  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Any site still giving away bitcoins? on: June 13, 2017, 05:09:51 AM
No, theres no site giving their bitcoin for free.

I suppose this is technically true, but FreeBitco.in comes damn close. We're paying interest on your balance over 0.0003BTC and we pay it out DAILY!    So if you want to earn a 4% annual rate for doing nearly nothing, use us. No other bitcoin wallet is offering such a deal.   And we even pay 25% commission on the interest your referrals earn!
291  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 12, 2017, 12:55:22 PM
If an admin wants to encourage those winners then should offer them some extra tips for posting proof on that thread then surely all the winners will post their winnings. All issues will have solutions just need to find them. Just offer small extra amount then everyone will rush to post their proofs.

FreeBitco.in does offer a reward/bonuse for posting proof of the big wins - as long as you have a screenshot. The OP to that thread (which is still very active) requests $200 and $20 winners to announce their good fortune. To be fair, it doesn't ask lottery winners to come forward, but lottery winners could if they wanted to.

Doesn't make sense that such vast number of people could settle to not celebrate their windfall. If one may ask, since when does winning a lottery became something to be shy of? I think the onus rests with Wetsuit to tell all of us here, we are bunch of unlucky folks, Grin that is why no regular person here - Bitcointalk, have ever won.

I realize that this forum is a center of activity and discussion for anyone and anything bitcoin related. But that doesn't mean that everyone and everything bitcoin related is here. There's actually a very small community cruising these boards regularly.

If you broke down the math of how many members are actively on this forum out of how many people use bitcoin I suspect the % would be quite low.

@MinerHQ, other questions?
Basically, above post didn't answer my questions. You just asking users to believe you guys and buy the tickets. There is no such thing that we can verify what you guys are doing fair or not. Every individual will vouch for themselves saying that they are good. But there should be a system to prove that they are doing good.

So you assume that every user will vouch for themselves, saying they're not cheating. And that FreeBitco.in should have a system to prove that they're not lying?

I think you're losing the audience a bit with this last comment.

Anyway, you requested a response and we gave you one. We offered you the truth, sometimes the truth hurts.

To everyone else...if you can think of a way to make the lottery ticket acquisition process provably fair, we're open to suggestions.

Cheers, friends.

And I'll see what's possible here...
To answer your question about how to convince me of your all time reliability : why you not guarantee our balance instead of the interest? For me it would be assuring that it is worth to have a large balance. What is the collateral you have to offer for me lending you, what it effectively is?
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: A big thank you note to Freebitco.in on: June 10, 2017, 05:44:45 AM
i think they should offer new features to earn free bitcoins now.

Do you know we're paying interest on your balance of 0.0003BTC? 4% per year, and that annual rate is paid incrementally each day!
296  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 10, 2017, 05:39:13 AM
I'm not asking them to give me the user details but asking about how they will pick the winner and that system should be fair enough for everyone.

You can't pick one which you may like and it is site responsibility to prove that they are fair enough. If they don't do it then I will say that system is not fair and we shouldn't buy the lottery tickets until we are sure that not cheated from the system.

MinerHQ, answers for you...

There are two different elements here (1) our methodology to drawing the winners and (2) the approach users take toward earning tickets.

(1) Our methodology for drawing the winners is fair, it's a random selection of the available tickets.

(2) The approach to earning tickets each week is impossible to police in a way that guarantees users aren't cheating to acquire tickets.

You can look at both of these elements together and conclude that to be 100% provably fair the system must also guarantee that users aren't cheating. Or you can look at these elements and realize what's realistically possible for us to control.

At this time we can only vouch for ourselves, our own honest approach to ticket selection. We can't vouch for every single user earning tickets.

Here's an example of how users can cheat (this scenario came up recently)...wait, if I do that I risk encouraging more cheating. I can't do that. But if you're concern is really significant, PM me and I'll share some of the details of the scenario.

Most importantly, and as a sign of our devotion to keeping the site as fair as possible - we'll offer a bounty to anyone that can arrive at a way to combat potential cheating, which would eliminate instances where tickets are being generated against our rules.

wetsuit has posted about this in the past, the offer remains open for someone to claim. We're always open to ways to improve the site!

fhireman!!!

Wow, what kind words! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We're so glad we could (at least) bring a smile and some hope/happiness to you during a difficult time. What we offer you pales in comparison to what you've been going through, but we're happy that you were able to gain some positive vibes or at least some distraction for the tough stuff from our site.

We're glad to have you as a member, a user, a friend of the family.

Sincerely, thank you!

From the whole team,

Myfe.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: June 07, 2017, 04:30:42 AM
...but to think the web wallet is holding such a significant advantage means that many are willing to change their security of their coins completely just to get a little bit more of comfort when dealing with their bitcoin.

South Park, great comment here. I've snipped some of it to get to the point. While I agree with your point above, I also believe that it's possible that web wallets realize that they need your business and the right thing to do is compensate you for the risk you take (not owning the private keys and all).

Nearly all of us want to succeed with bitcoin and we need to trust each other to do so.
299  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 07, 2017, 04:27:02 AM
Hey All, i'll keep this quick since this is a Gambling board but I want address the consistent theme of the comments quoted below.

When it comes to online wallets there are two camps of thinking:
(1) People who understand the risk of not owning their private keys but balance the need for convenience with the balance they keep in an online wallet to meet a happy medium, and

(2) People who believe that online wallets are the riskiest wallet option available and will never use them.

Those of you that believe in (2), that's a valid and logical way to think, continue on with the extra security you gain by always having full control over you bitcoin.

Those of you that believe in (1), ask yourself what you get in return for the trust you place in your online wallet. For the risk you take in that relationship. What does Coinbase pay for trust and risk? Nothing. What does Xapo pay? Nothing. What does Bitstamp pay? Nothing. What does Circle pay? Nothing. The list goes on.

We pay interest to you BECAUSE you've given us that trust and accepted that risk. It's the least you deserve.

Some companies will pay you more, be weary of whether that rate is sustainable. 1% paid per week (so 52% per year) is not sustainable...whatever company pays this amount either knows they won't be able to continue at that level of interest or they're getting you to pay for it in other ways.

FreeBitco.in pays an honest 4% APR. It's better than bank savings rates in most countries. And it's sustainable. There's nothing going on behind the curtains.

So it's your choice, get paid a fair amount of interest today and every day or not. Either way, we appreciate your business.

4% a year is horrible. Compounding only 4% makes very little difference. Maybe 5% ? If you lucky.
I wouldn't store my bitcoins there for a whole year. What you get out is not enough for whst you putting in. For me the risk is too great.

Personally I will not trust any form of online wallet including wallet freebitco.in provide to store my bitcoin for those tiny returns.  Wink

I say be cautious, once your coins are on there site there is NOTHING you can do.
Are you ready to risk all your BTC for 4% a year?

Also for bitcoin investment, 4% is almost nothing because if you hold bitcoins in your wallet then sometimes you can make these 4% profits within a day by trading.

We do not have control in our bitcoin even in our online wallet but it much risky if you put your bitcoin to them specially for long period of time.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 07, 2017, 04:11:04 AM
1. Do you provide the winners contact details for us to ask the proofs?

2. I will wait for your details to be posted on this thread to check. I'm interested in lottery winner choosing process not in the hi-low game. Because that game is fair and never said that it is not fair but the issue is high house edge.

Hi Miner, quick responses for you...

1. All activity on FreeBitco.in is kept private for the member...from faucet activity to multiply activity to lottery wins to online wallet transaction activity to interest earnings. If you want to solicit volunteers to share their stories you should start a thread!

2. Have you been to our site? There's a link (highlighted in blue) on the Free BTC and Multiply BTC pages titled "Provably Fair". This is an active link and if you click on it you'll find all the details on how our system is provably fair.

Here's the actual text from the Free BTC game:
This game is provably fair. What that means is that there is no way the site can cheat you by picking a number that is in our favour.

The way this works is that each roll is calculated using 3 parameters - the server seed, client seed and nonce. Out of these, we show you the client seed and nonce that will be used for your next roll along with a SHA256 hash of the server seed. You can also change the client seed if you wish. The server seed is the only part that is kept a secret until after the roll.

Then after you roll, under the section titled PREVIOUS ROLL DETAILS, we show you the server seed that was used and you can verify that this was the same server seed that we said we were going to use before the roll by checking if the SHA256 hash of this seed matches the SHA256 hash that we showed you before the roll.To know exactly how we calculate the rolls, read the section below titled How are rolls calculated?

After you roll, you can also click the link above named CLICK HERE TO VERIFY YOUR ROLLS to verify your roll using our javascript based roll verifier which uses the same seeds to re-calculate the roll right in your browser without any external communication.

How are rolls calculated?

Two strings are created :
STRING1 = "[NONCE]:[SERVER SEED]:[NONCE]"
STRING2 = "[NONCE]:[CLIENT SEED]:[NONCE]"
For your last roll :
STRING1 = "110048:37bb1ccb4790213f6c72f97c2e99ebf7d8464398a64dad8d4218fa41d2f2a579:110048"
STRING2 = "110048:GYpiBTwWqM8aThNw:110048"
Then HMAC-SHA512 is used to hash STRING1 with STRING2 as the secret key, giving us a 128 character hex string.
The first 8 characters of the hex string are taken and converted to a decimal.
This decimal is then divided by 429496.7295 and rounded off to the nearest whole number.
This whole number is used as your roll, with the maximum possible value being 10,000.
