Brand New Release: Myriadcoin EasyMiner Beta v1

Full Details + Download: http://myriadplatform.org/easyminer/

TL;DR Description: Autotuning Mining Software + Myriad Electrum + P2Pools + Code = Quickest and Easiest Mining Ever

TL;DR Description from the Eyes of the New User:

Step 1) Unzip Program
Step 2) Click “RunMeToMine.vbs”
Step 3) Profit!

Description: Easy Miner is a package file that contains miners for Myriad’s four major GPU/CPU algorithms (Scrypt, Skein, Myriad-Groestl, and Qubit) and after minimal installation will mine directly to a Myriad Electrum wallet that is set up with it using p2pools. It contains documentation and after the initial setup of Electrum it mines any of the four algorithms of your choice with one click directly to the wallet that was set up with it.

The Easy Miner package is intended to bring Myriad mining to everyone who has yet to get into cryptocurrencies because mining was too complex or too time-consuming for them. They should be able to run a file with minimal installation and immediately begin making that “magic internet money” like Bitcoin.

Support: It supports Windows 2000+ 32 & 64 bit and is currently in beta.

So probably myriad just hasn't enough buyers yet.
Not because it doesn't have enough merit to be valuable to people.
It's just that people don't get it yet... because it's like one dimension more complex than most other coins... right?

I think part of it is the self-fulfilling prophecy that day-traders perpetuated about inflation. Myriad is made for the long run, there'll be time to buy back they say. Well, they better not miss the chance, but when ideas spread like this it almost doesn't matter if they are true or not, they cause the heard mentality.

But either way, we are doing things to market Myriad to brand new markets. Nobody is giving up. It actually is the opposite for MYR when the prices dip--we start working harder.

New lows on MYR.

Markets are disillusioned.

Or, in keeping with my main thesis, perhaps I'd better say that ASIC's are happily deluded and the rest of us are terribly depressed?

Something REAL, as in tangible, as in something that makes a real difference, needs to be done. Adjusted rewards, ASIC elimination altogether, or something very similar that addresses the cancer needs to be done!

The more you keep thinking about it and sitting on your hands telling yourselves the "gimmicks" will work, the deeper the hole we're in will get.

Real shit is being done, not scammy shit.

Who's sitting on their hands?

who is dumping?
i get over 10M MYR now,am i the last hand?

8M here, yes, we are the 'last two hands' . Sad.

Out of almost 500M myr currently in existence, you each own ~0.2% of the total coins in existence. Pretty sure there must a be a few more 'hands' lying around somewhere.

That's 2%, not 0.2%

Ohyea, herpa derp. 2% is significantly more significant. I think the point is still valid(ish) tho. Speaking of, it'd be nice if we had a block explorer with a rich list.

290  Other / Meta / Forum Suggestion: Create "Alternate Cryptocurrencies" Subforums - POW or POS on: August 02, 2014, 05:36:28 AM
Coins that move from POW to POS can be moved from POW thread to the POS thread.

Maybe there could be a better organization method, but the suggestion is something along these general lines.

1.) Myriadcoin [Myriadplatform.org] {SHA256d, Scrypt, Skein, Qubit, AND Myriad-Groestl (It's the first multi-PoW coin--any algorithm can find the next block, independent difficulties.)}
2.) Yes
3.) No

http://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin/comments/2c99ed/block_reward_halving_schedule_discussion/

MYR's block halving schedule occasionally gets mentioned as a positive, insofar as the inflationary effects of miners selling newly minted coins on exchanges keeps the price low for an extended period relative to many coins, so more people can initially enjoy an opportunity to learn about and accumulate MYR at reasonable prices.

Sounds good, but I'd like to better understand how this relates to what other coins do and how significant it actually is, hope some folks here can drop some knowledge.

As I understand it bitcoin block reward halvings occur about every 4 years, approximately 4X as slow as MYR, so BTC's inflation decreases at a much slower rate. By contrast a lot of scamcoins complete their entire mining period in 2 weeks or less! No point in comparing a long-term project like MyriadCoin to instamine / junk scamcoins, but it appears MYR's schedule unfolds in the middle ground between these extremes.
As has been previously discussed the presently consistent long-term decline in MYR's price occurs as a function of block rewards getting sold on exchanges at a greater rate than people seeking to invest in MYR wish to accumulate. Obviously the block halving will influence this dynamic, but since the usual daily volume of MYR exchanged remains fairly low, would it be accurate to describe the expected impact of the block reward halving as negligible compared to the potential effects of wider adoption / increased demand + use?

• Do very many other coins have similarly slow block halving schedules?
• How did the dev team arrive at roughly 48 weeks as the ideal reward halving rhythm?
• As I understand it MYR remains one of the most profitable coins to mine at present, will this continue to be the case after the 1st block halving?
• How will PolyMYR play into all this?
• Is slow block-halving considered an intrinsically required feature for a coin to maintain long-term stability?
• If so, does this mean MYR enjoys a significant "first mover" advantage over other coins aiming for long-term survival, which even if they wanted to copy what MYR does would necessarily need to adopt a similarly slow reward halving schedule which would make "catching up" a distant prospect?

Bounty Reminder: Create a Youtube Tipping Bot that allows users to tip video uploaders AND the people who comment on videos. [INFINITE MARKETING POSSIBILITIES]

I have one lead for you if you are interested in making this: https://plus.google.com/u/0/110820315203668613125/about

This is an old Coinye Tipper Bot that actually worked. It utilized a Google+ page where the Bot was able to parse comments of those who added it to its circles for keywords indicating a tip.

Reason for the bounty: Myriadcoin does not identify itself as a "tipping currency" necessarily, but creating a tipping platform on a mega-social networking site with content producers like Youtube is an INCREDIBLY cheap and easy way to market ourselves.
People will think "What?! I can directly receive money from others for a video I made or a comment I make without Google taking a cut of the revenue?" People will love to tip and receive tips.

But it sounds tremendously hard!
Nothing is impossible. Be creative, use your mind, and understand the implications if something like this was set up. We need PR, we need marketing, we need a way for people all over the world to get more acquainted with Myriadcoin. We need to be firing on ALL cylinders.

Bounty address: MKgAspTqp9C5i44hWReqBksTcmAkwJK5y7

I'm adding 100,000 MYR to it right now.
