281  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Could we invalidate all regulations? on: October 23, 2017, 12:12:02 AM
I think it's necessary that the bitcoin rate be more stable

I'm not so sure about that. If merchants are using payment solutions to exchange instantly, then it's not really a big deal. Also, at that rate, then you've got a much higher velocity of money, which would put upwards pressure on the purchasing power of bitcoins. If anything, merchants would tend to hold what they didn't need for immediate liquidity and they'd welcome BTC purchases.

However, that's again predicated on enough merchants accepting it for it to be used much.

Yes, with due time this will occur. Even though Bitcoin is incredibly strong, growing and established for 8 years....you gotta remember that its still not at 1% adoption of all people yet.

Once it hits around 1.5%, and then a few years later when it hits 3% global adoption, then that pretty much equals mainstream.

283  Economy / Economics / Re: Catalonia Referendum Pushes Bitcoin Prices Above $4400 on: October 22, 2017, 11:57:59 PM
Maybe the corrupt catalonians politics are pushing BTC price up.  Grin

Part of this independence trial is just to save some corrupt politics from the punishment by spanish laws. Politics that were stealing from contracts of statal constructions. Unfortunatelly Bitcoin is an easy way to make this money disappear...

Maybe. People of Spain marked top 5 peoples in a country engaged in Bitcoin.

Wow, that's a lot!

I'll try to do a better job explaining how Catalonia and bitcoin could be related.

There are many threads in these forums discussing banks. Most would likely agree banks desire centralized one world governments. This is the reason why star trek has a centralized federation of planets. To give people the idea that a centralized socialist state will someday conquer war, poverty, racism & other evils.

Catalonia and the UK moving towards independence and decentralized government flies in the face of the goals bankers wish to accomplish. Brexit and Catalonia becoming independent would reduce the influence central banks have in the world. It reduces the degree to which governments of the world are centralized, increasing bitcoin's chances of success as bitcoin has better chances of surviving in a world of independent states than it does a centralized one world government run by central banks.

I feel like there's a better way to break this topic down. I'm just not seeing it right now.

But if Catalonia becomes independent and the neo-communists/socialists take it (what has a great chance to happen), it won't be good for Bitcoin, for people who live/work there and for their individual choices. It will just be good for the command, the parasites who sell the false idea of equality, love, mutual respect and all other lies these people like to tell to conquer lands and slave nations.

Bitcoin wouldn't have any chance on a society like this.

I disagree, you see in countries that experience economic restrictions or war (ie if a local geography such as Catalonia is targeted), it seems to fuel more adoption to Bitcoin. Look at the already high rates of Bitcoin trades in Spain. Look at Bitcoin adoption in Venezuela, in Nigeria, in India, Argentina.

Heck, even in USA, as the stock market has had tiny falls, you see something like this:

After the initial reaction of riotpolice forces, Catalonian people might as well go more nuts on bitcoin to drain the violent establishment of its systemic resources.

Thank you for sharing.

Amazing to see global trade growth on localbitcoins as well (scroll down to see all the individual countries:

Another strong solution that will make bitcoin's decentralization stronger is cross-chain atomic swaps! Decentralized trade without fiat.

Those who are Chinese and in the business circles understand opportunity within threat, and this is exactly what's happening with Bisq. I think it was really unfortunate that Localbitcoins were supposedly named in the list of exchanges to be banned, seeeing as they were originally excluded as a P2P exchange. This wouldn't then explain why BISQ were left alone though.

285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Malaysia's Central Bank to Decide on Crypto Regulation at Year's End on: October 22, 2017, 11:43:04 PM
LOL Hahaha, you are obviously confused, haha.

Why the Malaysian central bank doesn't matter = Over four years ago, back in 2013, All central banks including the Malaysian one followed suit to ensure every big bank in the world including in Malaysia to train bank tellers and their supervisors to block transactions if you mention to the bank it is for "bitcoin". Blocked and banned since 2013 yet they still cannot control it. Never say "bitcoin" and you are fine and the banks can never control that. That is why Bitcoin keeps growing.

Exponential growth despite worldwide bank bans:

Even China is irrelevant! China or any country's government for that matter should all go ahead say bitcoin is illegal and it will do nothing to Bitcoin. In fact they might as well all say bitcoin is legal and that will do nothing.
Bitcoin reached escape velocity 4-years ago in 2013 which means it cannot be stopped - cannot make it illegal or legal - governments/banks do not matter.

Bitcoin has freed, continuing to free, and tomorrow will still free many people globally from the centrally controlled debt-based fiat system that confiscates your wealth with inflation and tax. Bitcoin is a TRUE savings vehicle. Buying Real Estate, Hospital healthcare, Global traveling, College Education gets cheaper as you hold Bitcoin.

And it has become clear that...
Bitcoin CANNOT be controlled.

Bitcoin cannot be made legal. Governments may still attempt to do so.

Bitcoin cannot be made illegal. Governments may still attempt to do so.

Central banks already control and manipulate Stocks, Real Estate, Gold, Interest Rates. They have no such domination on Bitcoin and wont.

On the opposite end of the spectrum the global fiat (US Dollars, Indian Rupees, Chinese Yuan, etc) bubble system broke a couple of decades ago.

Fiat around the world is forced to inflate issuance as its heavily infested, burdened and broken with:
-regulatory burden on fiat banks & system (incredibly costly)
-unemployment & other welfare costs
-inflating fiat to keep stock market rising and to keep house-prices from collapsing
-financing conflicts, bombs, and "aid"
-insurance fraud
-false claims and insurance loss-events
-stabilize regions after natural disasters
-keeping monopolies with internet access centralized and search engine crawlers centralized
-money laundering
-chargebacks
-frivolous legal costs (lawsuits bogging the system down)
-state-sponsored corruption and unofficial corruption (governments and gangs, banks and conartists)
-retirement obligations (debasement in value to keep up with payments from government or other retirement-obligations)
-fake credit (goods being transacted with credit-loss, replaced by inflation of monetary base rather than bringing perpetrators & source to justice)
-using enforcement labor to freeze accounts and assets and take away your money
-costs of auditors and budgetors and accountants to governments and businesses

Bitcoin, systemically, is free from these burdens.

Nobel-winning economist Shiller calls bitcoin a fad
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/16/nobel-winning-economist-shiller-calls-bitcoin-a-fad.html

  • Economist Robert Shiller thinks bitcoin is a fad, like bimetallism was in the 19th century.
Yeah, I agree it is a fad in a sense that it really became a craze in the world of trading. However, unlike BIMETALLISM, bitcoin doesn't intend to stabilize prices. In fact, cryptocurrencies are so volatile that they don't totally depend (it is INDEPENDENT) on the value of one another, especially the bitcoin. Also, bitcoin doesn't increase the supply of money, which investors and businessmen thought about the BIMETALLISM. Actually, bitcoin is just another type of currency, which means that it doesn't really add to its equivalent value in local money. No one totally takes control of bitcoin but the users themselves.

  • Bitcoin hit a record high of $5,856.10 on Friday, according to data from industry website CoinDesk.
Actually, its all time-high was recorded on Sunday, October 15, 2017, when it reached its high $5,880.87, according to one of the biggest cryptocurreny exchanges Poloniex.

  • On the markets front, the economist noted that he's seeing some worrying signs in his data around the anniversary of the fateful 1987 stock crash.

The Black Monday, or the October 19, 1987 stock market crash, happened just for a short period of time. Let's also think the differences between the 20th century and the 21st century. By that time, internet and technologies are not yet popular, that's why most people that time don't depend so much in online trading (or none). The Black Monday happened mainly because of program trading, according to Wikipedia. During that time, some traders were able to exploit price differences in different markets with the use of a computer program.

With the high-technologies and SMARTER people today, there's a low chance that market crash will happen again. Big traders and investors will not allow that to happen again.

Bitcoin has the highest value because of the totality of what it is - if it lacked the features of what it is, then there would be no value.

If it can be shutdown, and have assets frozen by a bank or government, there would be no value
If it wasn't secure, there would be no value.
If it wasn't immutable, there would be no value.
If it wasn't globally distributed, there would be no value.
If it wasn't so strong, open-source decentralized and unstoppable, there would be no value.
If it wasn't so scarce, there would be no value.
If it was easy to spam transactions, there would be no value
If it didn't have the history of 8+ years (and still no hacker can exploit bitcoin blockchain), there would be no value
If it was exactly like fiat and only did transactions, there would be no value.

Bitcoin has all these together to make the most value and increasing more than any other financial-asset option coming from the fiat central-banking debt-system.

Though it is still very early adoption not even 1% adopted yet (most people everywhere don't know what it is)...

Now the price of one BTC has reached 6200 USD,
It will be in months or next year the price will continue to increase or even dropped to 200 USD,
my hopes can go down at the price of about 200 USD million so I can buy it, maybe there is hope the same with me Grin

I need your opinions and predictions, BTC will continue to improve or vice versa ?

OP, you do everyone a disservice when you are quoting things that are not true.

Bitcoin's current price at time of your post is ~5550-5600USD and has a total market cap of $92 Billion USD.

Copy/paste Coin Market Cap:
#   Name   Market Cap   Price   Volume (24h)   Circulating Supply   % Change (24h)   Price Graph (7d)
1
Bitcoin    $92,296,070,625    $5550.60    $2,029,300,000    16,628,125 BTC    -1.45%

Now moving on. Who cares what price you get in at when in the grand scheme of things the current price is miniscule to whats happening. Its a question of survival now.

Now that the world is exponentially adopting bitcoin, how long will US Dollars/Euros/Chinese Yuan/Indian Ruppees survive? LOL hahaha.
Bitcoin has been around 8 plus years. And the poor people of the world's countries are having their countries fiat currencies pumped into oblivion

Bitcoin is GLOBALLY held and sought after by people in almost every country - see global trade data by country or see this list:

Bitcoin is approximately 0.5% (or half of one percent) adopted in the world, it has become much less volatile with time and will be much less volatile once it is 1.5% adopted by word...and will be incredibly stable once it's 2% adopted. One day, many years from now, when it hits 6%-7% adoption the ramifications to the world's financial systems will be epic.

Again, its now simply survival.

290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why so many currencies? on: October 17, 2017, 04:36:36 AM
What you say can be very simple but big business guys do not think so. To create a single currency requires a great deal of money to set up. Not all customers know and want to use virtual currency as a form of payment, although it is more convenient than conventional but the use and purchase is too complicated.

Starting in 2013, and every year since then hundreds of crypto currencies or tokens have been created.

That's four straight years of so many currencies/altcoins/scamcoins being made.

2013

2014

2015

2016

2017

How come Bitcoin continues to be the strongest and most secure and most trusted and most globally distributed despite this fact?
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: October 17, 2017, 04:16:37 AM
LOL - such a silly premise in a system where world fiat credit/currency is incredibly unstable with insane pumping and expansion of US Dollars, Indian Rupees, Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yens, and Euros in supply is nuts. Bad Actors:
DCG = DIGITAL CURRENCY GROUP (Barry Silbert, Jeff Garzik, coinbase, bitpay, etc) supports FUD & have/will try to infiltrate & eventually shutdown bitcoin.
r/btc reddit thread and (the other) company-controlled bitcoin website (bitcoin.com) also spread FUD but then try to accuse others of spreading FUD, LOL? Why do they push hard on altcoins (bitcoin cash, ethereum, FUD?)  Why do they push for forks?

Forks creating scamchains are a courtesy brought to you by DCG group of companies led by Barry Silbert with his fellow minion Jeff Garzik and friend Roger Ver. Central banks love to fund their seeders who in turn fund DCG operations so they can get inside the community to circumvent Bitcoin's progress and try to destroy bitcoin.

The fiat currency global system is a debt-based conflict-funding system that wants to keep its monopoly (by the central banks).

Central banks controls the governments in each country.

Central banks control and have a MONOPOLY on credit/currency issuance in each country.

Additionally Central banks control the media in every region. Thus will TRY to influence opinion on things like bitcoin.

They will not allow competition and they've even banned bitcoin worldwide since 2013 training tellers to block/stop transactions if "bitcoin" is mentioned.

Four full years and the powerful central banks have been rendered POWERLESS TO BITCOIN'S decentralized strength.
Bitcoin keeps growing and growing in every country.

The people around the world are becoming too smart in seeing through the fiat currency schemes.

They can never have such domination on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin cannot be made illegal. Governments may still attempt to do so.

Central banks already control and manipulate Stocks, Real Estate, Gold, Interest Rates. Central banks will never have such domination on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin reached escape velocity 4-years ago in 2013 which means it cannot be stopped - cannot make it illegal or legal - governments/banks do not matter.

Don't you know what a database is? A non-decentralized "Blockchain" is a private database....Private databases has virtually no value!

BLOCKCHAIN without bitcoin = SCAMCHAINS, useless unsecure private databases
BLOCKCHAINS without bitcoin ARE SIMPLY PRIVATE DATABASES that every small business has even a coffee shop = NO VALUE, its like fiat currency, small minimal value!

Because Central Banks controls government.

Because Central Banks use government to have a MONOPOLY on each country's credit/currency issuance.

But who will be potecting us from these monopolies?
WHO WILL PROTECT ME FROM THESE HORRIBLE FIAT CURRENCY BUBBLES??

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE STOP BLOWING BUBBLES OF EXTRA FIAT MONEY AROUND THE WORLD? (PLEASE NO MORE USD, EUROS, JAPANESE YENS, INDIAN RUPEES, CHINESE YUAN, MEXICAN PESOS - PLEASE STOP INFLATING AND MAKING BITCOIN SO VALUABLE)...stop this pumping

Gold is one of those assets like stocks that is actively controlled, and manipulated by the central banking system in the world.

Bitcoin is free of such manipulation.

Bitcoin/USD
S&P 500 Stocks
Real Estate (REITs)

Luckily for your education, every and any government and bank sponsored attempts at blockchains are proving to be practically worthless, rightly so as they're private consortium blockchain private databases. Also many other blockchain altcoin failures have been continuous...
"Bitcoin Classic" failure
"Bitcoin XT" failure
"Bitcoin Unlimited" failure
"Bitcoin Cash" failure
coming soon..."Bitcoin Segwit2x" (BTC1) failure

Satoshi died years ago and took his private keys to 1mil BTC with him to his grave. Realistic supply max for bitcoin is much lower due to such lost keys.
