281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future payment methods of bitcoin and crypto on: November 11, 2018, 02:23:19 AM
There are already hundreds of places where you can purchase cryptocurrency easily. I would check your local neighborhood church, library and maker groups.

Otherwise, there are some good exchanges online where you can buy bitcoins online quickly and easily. Some of them accept credit card, PayPal, gift card and the like while others only accept other cryptocurrencies. I would do some research before making a decision, however, I think LocalBitcoins and Paxful have the lowest fees AND the most payment methods.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ⚡⚡⚡ BITCOIN for Long-term investment ⚡⚡⚡ on: November 11, 2018, 02:17:59 AM
I think Bitcoin is a great investment! Not only is it the first mover cryptocurrency that is blocked by the Blockchain, but also it is a great store of value since so many services accept Bitcoin as payment. With the proliferation of the blockchain in society and economics, we will probably see Bitcoins get rarer. As we see more services and online payment systems created by companies and nonprofit organizations Bitcoin will inevitably have more utilities behind it thus raising its value.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Not Ripe To Replace Gold: Analyst Kristoffer Inton on: November 11, 2018, 02:03:27 AM
I don't think Gold and Bitcoin will ever replace each other. Gold is probably safer than Bitcoin overall since its value will probably never disappear, nor does it fluctuate as much. Bitcoin works great as an investment since it is both secure and transmutable. I would recommend getting a reliable hardware wallet or rolling over your IRA or 401k into cryptocurrencies. There are some places like Vaultoro where you can invest in both gold and bitcoin.

I would definitely do the research and, personally I would invest in both.
284  Economy / Service Discussion / Where do you buy bitcoins? on: November 11, 2018, 01:01:01 AM
I am looking for a few recommendations of places where I can go to buy Bitcoin with a credit card and has low fees. Can anyone recommend any good options?
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will the miner do when 21 million Bitcoins is mined? on: November 11, 2018, 12:57:47 AM
When all the Bitcoins are mined, there will only be 21 million in existence. At this point (sometime in 2100 or so), Bitcoin can be used as a long, lost digital currency and be treated as gold. I'm sure by then a good chunk of those Bitcoin will be lost to fires, electrical meltdowns or theft so the value will probably be a lot higher.

WHen you factor in the Blockchain and its connection to the Internet we could see a universe like Cowboy Bebop or Star Trek.
286  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I would like to buy a big amount of BTC by Bank Transfer (Europe, US). on: November 10, 2018, 04:40:20 AM
Hi Matinandra, I would recommend contacting a few of your local exchanges, checking out LocalBitcoins or perhaps any one of these exchanges.

288  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard is investing in blockchain on: November 10, 2018, 03:28:35 AM
Considering many Bitcoin buyers already use VISA or Mastercard credit cards and debit cards, it is not such a surprise to see MasterCard adopt the blockchain. In fact, the blockchain makes transactions more secure so it makes financial sense as to why financial companies are investing into it.

I wouldn't put it against every single bank, and payment processing company to invest in the blockchain in some way.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we overcome the hard times? on: November 10, 2018, 03:12:58 AM
Give it another year or two and we will see a tremendous number of applications for Bitcoin. We already have companies like Square which accept cryptocurrency payment. Soon perhaps PayPal, Chase and other companies will follow suit.

In essence, Bitcoin is money so as long as businesses begin accepting it or investment companies begin offering it as an option, then it will surely be used as a form of money for years to come. There is only one Bitcoin, and it was invented 10 years ago.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto's identity revealed ? on: November 10, 2018, 03:02:38 AM
There's no way it is Gavin. Satoshi has to be someone from the government or an alien...
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Ma, Anti Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2018, 02:26:21 AM
Jack Ma seems to be close to the subject of Bitcoin. As the founder of Alibaba, I'm sure he has his own reasons for not implementing Bitcoin into their payment system. It would be cool to see Alibaba, or even AliExpress accept payment to merchants in Bitcoin much like Paxful offers hundreds of options for their customers.

294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Social Media Outlets for Crypto on: November 07, 2018, 05:07:34 PM
The best social media platform is the one you are currently using. BitcoinTalk is a great resource for like-minded people.

Aside from here, Steemit is an excellent media and social networking outlet. If you want to go beyond the scope of cryptocurrency, I would look into Facebook  Cheesy

Not only is it one of the most popular exchanges for transacting Bitcoins globally, but also LocalBitcoins accepts just about every payment method. No matter what kind of financial situation or payment methods you have available the great thing is you can still get your hands on Bitcoin.

All you have to do is either arrange for an in-person meet up with a local dealer, or private message them so you can buy with PayPal, postal mail, Western Union or any type of payment method you two decide.

Overall, I have made a number of transactions using LocalBitcoins and met some interesting people out of it as well.

I would recommend the platform for those just getting started, and also to very experienced sellers who see opportunity in the cryptocurrency space.

Just like Coinmama, CEX.IO offers an extremely simple way to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 8 other cryptocurrencies with a credit card or debit card.

Unlike Coinmama which charges a 5% fee, CEX.IO has a 2.99% charge for credit card purchases.

The platform is easy to use and offers a sexy interface for users to make quick market transactions. The fees are low and transactions are protected with Two-Factor Authentication.

Overall, I would recommend CEX.IO over most other platforms for buying cryptocurrencies with a credit card.

Coinmama is an excellent way to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and Cardano instantly with a Visa or MasterCard credit card or debit card. The process is fast. It is simple to get started, and Coinmama delivers a stupendous experience for beginners and advanced buyers and sellers alike.

The exchange platform is accepted in over 180 countries, and I would recommend it over Coinbase.

Paxful is one of the easiest places to buy bitcoin. On the platform, you have over 300+ options to purchase bitcoins including:

  • credit card
  • debit card
  • PayPal
  • MoneyGram
  • Western Union

Also, leftover gift cards such as iTunes, Steam, Amazon, Starbucks and many, many more. The great thing is your purchases have no fees, and seller's only get charged 1%.

Set up is quick, and verification is simple. I would recommend the platform for just about everyone since it delivers a seamless experience for buying bitcoin.

Gift cards are often given to others as Birthday gifts, Christmas presents and as presents for loved ones. If you have any spare, used or new, Gift Cards laying around the house it is definitely advisable to redeem them one way or another for Bitcoins. Not only is it fast, free and incredibly easy, but the process is fun as well.

Here are some examples of the type of Gift Cards you can redeem on Paxful:

  • iTunes
  • Amazon
  • Steam
  • Sephora
  • CVS

With LocalBitcoins you can trade your gift cards in person to the seller for bitcoins.

Not bad! Reminds me of when Bjork first started accepting Litecoin as payment for her album https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/6/16611822/bjork-album-utopia-cryptocurrency-audiocoin
