2801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: October 17, 2022, 04:06:23 PM
Bukele notes that bitcoin has helped increase the flow of tourists to the country, but in fact, El Salvador has not made much progress with the adoption.

your point here is contradicting, you're talking about the increase gained through El-Savador's bitcoin  tourism which you applaud Nayib Bukele for these, yet you're saying the haven't make any progress it their adoption, what other progress could come than having good tourist attraction that yield a vast income, the investment is not yet ripe if that's what you meant but i can tell you that tourism alone is a boost on El-Savador's economy through bitcoin adoption.

The population does not use cryptocurrency in everyday payments

have you conducted a research that ascertain this as fact, every average El-Savadoran who is an entrepreneur has had the taste of bitcoin before and they are still using it.

but even the tourists themselves do not ask sellers if they have the opportunity to pay for purchases with crypto

have you been there to experience such? should incase you forgot, El-Savador is majorly deals with bitcoin and not other crypto, bitcoin is the only name you can identify El-Savador adoption with of which every tourist already have that in mind that they are coming for bitcoin tourism and not crypto tourism.
2802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 15, 2022, 01:24:05 PM
I will prefer to stop the game for the day if i begin to experience loss on two consecutive occasions, luck is far away as at that moment then I'll make a try another day, if we don't properly plan to position ourselves on a good eege, it may be difficult for us to make progress with winning, some will keep loosing at the scene of trying to play hard for a winning, but we you understand what's best and good for you, then you can know how to stop and or continue when needed, but as for me I will stop anytime am making a loss consecutively.
2803  Economy / Economics / Re: Meta has burned $15 billion trying to build the metaverse on: October 15, 2022, 12:56:48 PM
The Metaverse at large isn't a failed project and those that has key into this are also working tiredlessly to bring out something unique from it but i must confess that it is not what is as simple as we all taught, i think we are only on the ideological stage and more resea needs to bebdone in other to bring this ideas into practical reality, which will obviously take time, money and efforts, the Facebook Meta are also trying on their own but it's not what we should expect to into live like this soon, but time will definitely bring to unfold what it has through Metaverse and those that set in first will make a lifetime history with it, let's keep the fingers crossed and see who comes in first.
2804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 15, 2022, 12:46:35 PM
Much efforts from my end had not been put together towards bitcoin adoption as at recent, why is probably because of the environment i found myself and i believe this is mostly the likely possibility for most people as well, what will the people say about you, this has been a common challenges especially with those living in a remote areas, how to convince them to digital network like bitcoin for an investment and currency is now a tideous task because of the past experience they had with bounties and ponzi scheme, if the environment looks uncondusive enough then it will be wise to exercise patience and apply wisdom.
2805  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 14, 2022, 04:34:55 PM
With all the saids been acceptable as an advise, it must not be forgotten that every business that is just starting need time to grow up and during this period you're not expected to be eager for more profits it at all and not until it got established, you're expected to have a continuous flow of money into it so as to help maintain the business for long until it starts generating it's own consistent profits, these are part of the requirements needed as well but most business entrepreneurs don't have a financial backup for incase of emergencies and expect the business to boom at the start, and this is why many ended up into closedown because they went either bankrupt or can't maintain handling the business because of low income or profits realize from the start.
2806  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: October 14, 2022, 04:27:12 PM
Business is needed to run the Social media. But what you told is true.
The primary focus of the social media entities should be Socializing and next is business

But Everyone wants money. Money is given more priority than Socializing

Exactly, what is the essence of wasting time on the social media without anything to come forth thereof, i accept the fact it's for socializing, but have you discover that even with that the social media developers are making a good and reasonable amount of money from it daily, so it's not something bad if one could eventually spend alot of time on it and have some incentives coming out as well in return, this will also serve as compensation for it, but it all has to do with what one can offer before he can start thinking of being paid at all.
2807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 14, 2022, 04:21:23 PM
The senator showed confidence but until there is a law that passed declaring bitcoin as a legal tender, her words are just opinions. The USA and its DEA will not be happy of this and they will influence the Mexican government to stop this. Mexico is the home of powerful and notorious drug cartels that are supplying drugs in many parts of the world. Money laundering is rampant in Mexico. Billions of US dollars laundered every year in Mexico. If this will push thru, the authorities will impose stiff regulations to counter money laundering.

We can't use an excuse for money laundering against the proposed adoption in Mexico but i believe the house has the final day when the bill is being presented, there will be vote forbthose in support nor against and by then we will all know if truly the majority are in support for bitcoin adoption and regarding the drugs dealers and so on, don't be surprised that even from the government officials there are those behind it and backing it up with steady funds, they have their boys in the business and i think they will have more supportive hands with the adoption considering privacy, security and decentralization they will benefit from but don't quote me wrong am not saying bitcoin is an abored for such.
2808  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 14, 2022, 04:12:29 PM
I agree Bitcoin can go to about $12000 - $15000 downwards. Check out this link for what’s going to make it turn to an upward trend again

Anything aside tge demand and supply for bitcoin which serve as the major determinant, but have you also forgotten that bitcoin is volatile and volatility is not a one sided effect, it's both for the rise and fall in bitcoin price and all you need is to have a good knowledge of when to oush in for either buying ir selling and most importantly if you are investigating, you must learn to be patient enough to hodl.
2809  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price drops as US inflation reaches 40-Year High on: October 13, 2022, 03:16:30 PM
Obviously we are in October and the bitcoin price is still rotating along the same axis, US inflation may ne getting higher and tougher indeed but that is not what we work on in determining the price for bitcoin or predict more dips to go down below what we are having, if you notice that ever since the incident of US inflation there have been any tangible difference that cause bitcoin to go down beyond the same range it has always been right before now, $17k maybe the lowest for now but on several occasions it has attempted going beyond $20k but on a resistant level, there may not be any tangible difference that will change the current circles within the end of this year with bitcoin price and never expected further low than we've got already.
2810  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: October 13, 2022, 03:07:01 PM
Education is the most important thing for humans, with education of course it can lift civilization for the better, unfortunately in many countries education is not considered so that its citizens are still left behind and it is difficult to improve the economy, of course this is the task of all of us, the presence of social media can be used for positive campaigns so that everyone cares about education.

There's no way there can be a developmental progress in a place where education is lacking, civilization is one of the fruitfulness birth in education, and the advance technology today we all operate in were as a result of education, we have light and live a peaceful and comfortable lives today because education has givien us enough reasons to growth and develope to whatsoever thing we would have wanted to achieve, education is the hidden force to every success in the lives of children to become what they the future needs for their generation.
2811  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Biden mentally OK? on: October 13, 2022, 02:58:49 PM
I started to have some feelings to a level of doubts about Biden since the start of the Afghanistan crisis that led to the seizure of power by the Taliban group, ordinarily you couldn't expect Obama or Trump to act so lenient in that regard as he responded to the issue over there, Biden may be old enough but i think we still have enough leaders in their numbers above 70 years and still very active a d conscious of every steps and decisions they made, maybe in the case of biden it could be heriditary if we trace his actions and kinds of mind thinking.
2812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My life as a Bitcoin believer on: October 13, 2022, 02:50:41 PM
Now you believe that bitcoin is a digital currency and have the average information any newbie could have started with, but remember that the journey does not end there, you will still have to continue in learning, especially sometimes whereby you may invest and the luck went down on you to have a dip in price after your investment, expression of interest is good and your experience in this network is as important as well, wish you all the best.
2813  Economy / Economics / Re: Switching The World To Renewable Energy Will Cost $62 Trillion on: October 12, 2022, 01:34:59 PM
We strongly believe that going by the adoption of the use of a renewable energy source could bring alot of ease to the global energy challenge and the high cost to securing it, but we cannot expect the massive switch come in place at once, it's a gradual steps whereby there will be less dependent on the electrical energy being handled by the government and certain individuals or corporate affairs could solely depend on the renewable source for their sustainability in the world economy system for maximum productivity on baseless cost effective.

2815  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government data show that 1 out of every 246 covid vaccinated people DIES within on: October 12, 2022, 08:53:40 AM
With strong convictions and enough reasons backing it up i don't blame those that has determined to avoid the administration of the fovid vaccine, infact bit should have been made clear on the overage adults to abstain from it or rather have another alternative to the general dose administered on everyone, those with eeaker immune system finds it difficult to survive through vaccine and it would have been better never been administered than been taken and have a death consequences after it, i think research could develope more natural plant resistance to tackle it than vaccination that work against most immune systems of the weaker individuals.
2816  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Despair is a sign of defeat on: October 12, 2022, 08:42:28 AM
The defeat of Putin's Russia in the war with Ukraine will certainly lead to the fall of Putin's bloody regime and save the world from the threat of nuclear war

The unleashememt of the nuclear weapons can be what may lead to III WW and currently Russia is suffering a big hit on the ongoing war despite it several attacks but i still don't get to understand what this engagement of war will benefit Putin, i learnt a number of Russians citizens were already going against Putin leadership and possible attempts for coup is undergoing underneath, very soon there will be light upon every dark and hidden agenda perpetrating the continuous lingering of the ongoing war, but a nuclear weapons as threat will be his last attempts to final regret, the US has warned already on that.
2817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have all the 'Bull Runs' just been billionaires pumpin and dumpin? on: October 12, 2022, 08:31:57 AM
Shall we just wait till the next billionaire wants to come along at the 'next cycle' and pump and dump?

We cannot derive into conclusion just by the steps taken by Elon and those were his personal decisions, we have already a good number of investors who happens to be whales and their buying season does not determine the pump or dump to the current situation on bitcoin price, this is a global distribution where we have different investors buying and at the same time some are selling and what can also be put into consideration is the four years interval between when a new ATH is attainable by the next halving event.
2818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Support Casino Operated By The Bitcointalk Members on: October 11, 2022, 01:19:20 PM
If i will accept a recommendation for using a casino operated by a bitcointalk user then such user must be a sr. member rank upwards or one that is well recognized by the members on good reputation, you can't just expect a newbie just coming onboard to gain the interest of members by ordinary sweet words with having an history to trace about his stay on the forum, that should even look more suspicious to trust, i think one of the easy ways to earn trutmst from people is to start by creating on on others.
2819  Economy / Economics / Re: Retailers make more profit than wholesalers during inflation. on: October 11, 2022, 01:12:59 PM
The narrative of this topic may mean to some considering business that going into retail can be more profitable for them when compared to Wholesaling just as you have suggested

Let's picture it from the two ends and compare them together, wholesalers don't need to struggle before they make their sales, all they need is a warehouse and a huge capital, their target on profits is little amount but sinfe they deal with quantity then each item been sold will accumulate a good amount for profit realization, as for retailers, they buy little in quantity and have a direct sale with the consumers, this makes them have chances of manipulating price by hiking some, they also suffer the losses of damage and poor market sales whenever their inflation, this same inflation can favour them and also at the other end discomfort them in many ways, but i will also prefer wholesaling than retailing.
2820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google partners with Coinbase to accept crypto payments for cloud service on: October 11, 2022, 12:58:07 PM
It's a goodnews indeed as bitcoin serves them right in choice for making payments but also we must not forget the harm that can come through this online backup service providers, they are welcome into the world of adoption but that doesn't change the believe and conviction towards giving both of them a patronage to their services (coinbase and google cloud service provider), moreso we are close to the time where both of them will begin to seek for better security with blockchain with their services for maximum safety, which means even the cloud services and centralized exchanges were unsafe on the longrun.
