2801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: January 11, 2023, 10:45:59 PM
There are successful people out of investment on memecoins. A market shouldn't be of a same product, it needs to provide variety to its users. One such variety in cryptocurrency is the memecoins. These are for short term, if lucky you'll be profiting and if not you just need to ignore. Dogecoin to be used by Elon Musk might happen, but this isn't gonna make big push in the market.
No one denies that a lot of money can be made with meme coins, but what is the ratio of winners and losers? Or to put it in another way how many losers we have for each winner that claims to have made a fortune investing in meme coins? And the numbers are surely horrible, as people invest in those coins thinking about making some quick cash only to find out that instead of achieving their dreams of making a lot of money they instead lost it.
I think this give us some estimation of how many are losing money with these "funny" tokens:

Almost 81% of Shiba Inu Investors are at Loss, Indicates Analysis

And that is the one they consider one of the best memecoins of the market, probably just after doge. Now imagine the percentage of investors in loss who have invested in alternative memecoins, hoping they were going to become the new hype of the industry. It's sad to see so many people are losing money for nothing, while they could be simply holding bitcoins and making their money grow on long term.
2802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: January 11, 2023, 10:18:37 PM
with the presence of AI that seems about to bring revolution towards how the entire worlds works, I think the cryptocurrency space should take advantage of that fact, I think AI will be trendsetter of the new cryptocurrency bullruns if there's many project invested in developing the AI technology but it seems right now there's lacking of such AI projects therefore I guess it will just stick with smart contract like usually.
What you say makes sense. There is a clear new hype being drawn involving AIs of the most diversified niches of the society. Of course not only legit AI developers are going to take advantage of this hype, but also the scammy ones who must launch the usual fake projects promising top notch AIs for different purposes, aiming to solve and facilitate every our daily tasks and needs.

Yesterday I saw there was a warning here in bitcointalk telling people to be careful with AI altcoins investments, because a scam project claimed to be selling tokens in the name of "OpenAI" company and after all it had nothing to do with the legit AI brand.

Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing

AI will indeed be the next one to be exploited by developers as well as fraudsters.
So yes, definitely we should be very cautious in getting involve with new AI projects.
If you are serious about investing on this project, why not dedicate some of your time to understand and dig more about the project?
No one can do it for you but yourself only. Though some may expose the irregularities or publish some warnings, however,
the work is still on you. It is your money, so it is only right to know where you are putting your money into.
Actually I'm suspicious of AI projects launched in crypto industry, because it really seems the legit professional ones don't sell any tokens in order to raise funds. They have other means of collecting money to develop their concepts and ideas. So for cryptocurrency remains the secondary and fake projects, which have as main purpose speculating and pumping their tokens, instead of creating something original and inedit that is going to make total difference among other AIs concepts. I hope I'm wrong on this matter, because I truly would like to see outstanding projects in crypto industry that goes beyond purely speculation.

2804  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 11, 2023, 09:32:10 PM
Well, I decided to break some of my records. I guess that having locked tokens for a year comes with some benefits, every once in a while I get one more free spin daily:

This is going to be a special one! Smiley

I think that maybe it has halved but I see in the Freebitco.in website from many many days, weeks and even a couple of months that the price with Satoshi to buy a FUN is 37 Satoshi which for me is a pretty high price considering we used to buy then about 6-8 months ago at 22-25 before it went up to 37-41 Satoshi.I think that if you are able to buy them with FIAT in exchanges or places where you can exchange with low fees your other cryptos for them like the Atomic wallet it is a pretty good investment to lock them,I mean when you have over 125.000 Satoshi, and you can do it every 15 days, every month or any other longer time frame.I think it is still somewhat decent, beside that you get those WoF in which you can win Satoshis there and use to buy some of such tokens again.

There are quite some opportunities I would say but they are aimed toward people with a relatively high budget.
FUN is pretty stable around 35-37 satoshis since second half of last year. It's indeed a high price compared to the 22-25 satoshis before the beginning of the bearish season and I guess it's possible FUN returns to that price range once bitcoin becomes bullish again in a near future. So it's really an important point to take in consideration before starting the investment in FUN tokens. It's necessary to imagine a potential scenario where your investment in FUN may depreciate 40% in value compared to bitcoin once btc returns to price levels it was in 2021.

Thinking this way, those 25% APY mean nothing...
2805  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 11, 2023, 08:29:49 PM
For now bitcoin could be feeling the bearish pressure because of a few events that happened like exchanges being hacked etc, but the secret arsenal it has to guarantee prices go up is its limited supply and all it takes is more increased pressure to come from demand to force prices to go up to fulfill these needs... For now it's a waiting game, stay put.
Nothing changes. Every bull season people expect a price of 1M or modestly 100k, but when their expectations are not met and a prolonged bear market begins, these people start talking about how the price will never recover. They also start burying cryptocurrencies.
The fact investors lose hopes and bury cryptocurrencies is what give many other people the opportunity to become investors entering the market during a moment when the prices are pretty cheap, so they can benefit from it on its maximum potential for future gains. Where some see an issue, others see an opportunity, and it has been like this on this market since the beginning.

Even though expectations are never exactly met, it's undeniable the investment mades in bitcoin are still highly profitable when we compare prices from bearish and bullish past seasons, therefore the chances prices are still going up a lot are superior than the chances of having an eternal stagnant or depreciated market.
2806  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 11, 2023, 08:21:48 PM
Let me use the lower end of your number of $4,000 per month to live comfortably... that's $48k per year... That seems to be more than necessary.. and even from that number it is quite possible that $1k per month could be used for investment and only $36k is actually used or needed for living expenses and to still live relatively comfortably.  Of course, if you have a family then you do need more than what would be considered to be supporting a single person.. so the number can vary in regards to the family considerations, too.  If you are able to invest $1k per month ($12k) per year, then it may well take you three years to get to a point of having enough to have 1 year's worth of living expenses saved up (that is not accounting for how much that investment might appreciate.. but we could just try to presume that it is keeping up with inflation at a minimum and perhaps growing slightly beyond just sitting there and devaluating).
And the more they have and the biggest their income is (from wage and investments), the fastest it's going to be to continue growing the patrimony unlimitedly, if a smart management strategy like the one you mentioned above is applied.

Growing patrimony is exactly like a compound investment. I believe that is why it's common to see rich people getting considerably richer each new year, while the maximum poor and middle class citizens reach is the acquisiton of a self-owned house or apartment and a small countryside property to enjoy after the retirement. There is the mindset aspect which prevents people from going ahead in financial status, but there is also the "compound interest" one.
2807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence on Ethereum and the danger of a AI without limitations on: January 11, 2023, 07:54:30 PM
AIs still need a human brain behind to work properly on long run. Even if the AI managed to develop and evolve by itself for some time, it would reach at its roof (capacity limit) or bug at some point, needing human repairs and intervention to continue working. I believe the key point is that AIs can't develop conciousness, on the opposite of what movies like The Terminator or Bicentennial Man show us. AI doesn't have the ability to do something with second intentions, because it's a particular trait of human beings. It doesn't have emotions, greed, ambitions, desires... It's just a machine which is there to fulfill humans' orders.
2808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 11, 2023, 07:02:34 PM
The casino company was corrupt with this woman. Their machine was faulty it should have been sealed in advance. Since they didn't seal the machine as a fault then I can definitely say the machine was perfectly fine and this woman was duped a lot. This woman should have taken legal action. Since the casino sites are publicly established in this country then of course there is permission to play casino gambling. So if there was legal action immediately the woman would have won a better offer and if they refused there would have been legal action and the casino company would have been shut down for life.
That would be the right thing, but justice system doesn't work greatly too and could end deciding in favour of the casino. I can't find how this case finished, but found similar news of a 90 years old lady who won 41$ million at a slot machine in another casino and had payment denied as well. After all the court decided in the favour of the house:

Quote
The Chicago Tribune reported that a court ruled in favor of Isle Casino Hotel when a penny slot machine indicated that a 90-year-old woman won $41 million. The court ruled that "the game's rules capped jackpots at $10,000 and didn't allow bonuses," according to the newspaper.
Woman sues casino that offered her steak dinner instead of $43 million jackpot

It's not the gamblers' fault if machines aren't working properly. If they had lost money, no malfunctions would be pointed. If the casino finds any malfunctions on the machines they have to sue slots' company provider, and use that money to pay the gambler's jackpot.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: January 11, 2023, 06:49:45 PM
Seriously I am looking for lottery coins but something like x20 to x100. But wow! We have x1000 hunters here. It'll be very hard to find coins that will shoot at x1000. Most of the newly launched coins will just perish in a short period of time. And those newly launched coins with known developers and are invested by big crypto groups like Binance Labs and Kucoin Labs have market caps of $50 million something already which make them hard to grow x1000 in the next bull run.

If we're looking into the next meme coin, maybe it's a cat logo in the next bull run. Cheesy
You said it all. It's literally a lottery. You have to be lucky to pick the right token whales have chosen to pump to the moon on the next bull run. You can still follow some criteria, but nothing guarantee it's going to be an accurate guess, because each new season the hypes' characteristics change. I mean, last time it was a meme dog coin, although next time it's not likely it's going to be the same concept, as it's already saturated and very predictable. Maybe a cat, as you say, however I think animals in general fall under the same category.

The point is that we, little fishes, are trying to surf on the waves caused by the whales movements on the sea, and we don't where or when those waves are going to be generated.
2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 11, 2023, 06:39:46 PM
I wish the bitcoin's cycles history has shown us keep repeating one after other, so we can reach to further adoption levels and new ATHs. Of course there are several factors influencing the progress of bitcoin along the history, and some important ones are about regulations, governments' interference. So I also wish future regulations come in the sense of supporting and protecting bitcoin enthusiasts and investors, instead of difficulting their access and usage of bitcoin and its altcoins pairs. If things work this way, regulations can be an important booster to encourage more people adopting bitcoin. It's not what many people here would like to hear, but after the scams involving big players of crypto market, security and guarantees are needed and demanded by potential investors.
2811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 11, 2023, 05:24:13 PM
I played provably fair games 1 year and i mostly losed so i am moving to live casino
You don't lose because games aren't provably fair, you lose because there is a house edge, a casino's advantage over gamblers, which stays around 1%-2%. You can move yourself to live casinos, but it doesn't mean you are going to profit there, and actually, since games from live casinos aren't provably fair, it's much more likely to be cheated when playing there.

I selected 10 keno number and I faced a long losing streak of 20 then It will always hit when by bet is initial amount or less than initial when i started playing keno
After long losing streak of 20 When i incresed the bet by only a few percent I will continue losing streak
Well, that is still a possibility when gambling. I've already played with 50% winning chance and lost, so I raised it to 60%, 70%, 80% and still lost in a row. But there is nothing wrong with this, as we aren't playing with 100% winning chance...
2812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 11, 2023, 05:00:41 PM
Something which intrigued me at Crypto.com exchange is that instant sale was rating bitcoin at 87,000$ price range, in my local currency, while at google bitcoin was pricing 90,000$, in my local currency. Then I opened an order at Crypto.com to sell my coins for 90,000$, but the platform didn't let me, claiming I would have to open a sale order with bitcoin pricing at least 92,000$.

Isn't it strange? They are forcing you to sell your coins for the instant price they want (cheapest one), since you can't increase it a little, but only to a much more expensive price, nobody is going to purchase soon.

That's a sweet win mate  Kiss, congratulations, i played the wheel of fortune this morning and won 50 satoshis  Grin, i will have to withdraw my FUN tokens from the exchange and deposit and stake it on freebitco so i could start getting my 4 free spins everyday.

Buy the way, I am curious to know if any user here has ever won that lambo ticket, or the lambo itself, been a very long time that has been on the board but I've never seen an announcement that a user actually won it.
Thanks! Smiley
As sooner as you start the premium and staking programs at freebitco.in, the better!

I've already won some lambo tickets on the WoF. Sometimes it does happen. But for this round I still haven't won any golden tickets. About lambo winners we don't know any of them. I just remember it was said last winner was someone from the forum, although he didn't want to show himself publicly.

Anyways, I am still happy with what I have earned because I am growing my account since couple of years now. I have kept my patience level to 100%. I dont sell a sats or rp from my account these days. It's growing slowly & I am loving it!  Thanks to freebitcoin Wink
Keep trying, luck will knock you door next time! Smiley
Perseverance, discipline, management and optimism are the keys!

Nice rewards from WoF's spins rolls today. That is the ideal results in my opinion: few lottery tickets, average number of RPs and a lot of sweet satoshis! 5000 satoshis prize and 500 RPs prize in 45 spins. Really good, I was waiting for that since a long time already, but it has finally come!

2815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be banned or stopped by governments on: January 11, 2023, 05:03:15 AM
However, due to the risks involved in doing so when residing a hostile country to bitcoin, it's advised that enthusiasts think about the possibility of moving themselves to a bitcoin friendly country, so they can live in peace without constant fear and paranoia of retaliations from the state.
You can't just move to another country because of bitcoin, unless you really have a big hidden fortune that can make you retire.
A hidden fortune of if the person gets paid in bitcoin for his work, so it might be interesting to become a digital nomad and live abroad, in case his native country has a harsh approach to bitcoin enthusiasts. It's not necessary to move to a country where life is expensive, though. I believe there are potential friendly countries to bitcoin for every incomes' sizes. Moreover, a country which is hostile to btc is also hostile regards another aspects of the society, without any doubts, so it's definitely not a good place to live in.
2816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin as a new part of the human way of life" on: January 11, 2023, 04:03:38 AM
All that remains is to collect the unique stories of the people who have been behind the development of cryptocurrencies almost from the beginning
You are looking for a very select group of individuals to contribute to your book. And I really don't know if early developers would be interested in reporting their story to you, because it's seem likely they would prefer to write a book themselves.

If you have friends who are major bitcoin hodlers (bitcoin only),i will listen to their stories as well
What do you mean by major bitcoin holders? What is the minimum number of btcs someone must hold to be considered a major holder for your research?

2817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 11, 2023, 02:19:27 AM
We can't deny OP that because of FTX the market prices drop and everyone is affected. Though it badly affects my portfolio, I'd never find it unreasonable to become worried and panic about the future of my investments. Now, as we can see the market is able to recover and this is probably because people aren't too emotional when it comes to this issue anymore. It somehow gives some market shake but that was only for the short-term, the market will still move forward as long as holders and investors have trust on crypto.
That is true. Everyone was affected, directly or indirectly, because the scandal has reduced the confidence of investors in crypto market, which retreated their money from volatile assets during 2022, but right now things are looking a little better for investors in general, as Bitcoin and Ethereum are recovering. On the other hand, investors who had funds invested in other altcoins, especially the ones which are more unstable and less reputable may find themselves more affected than us, as some projects were more exposed to FTX and Alameda.
2818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 11, 2023, 12:24:57 AM
When we sell our cryptocurrencies at exchanges we can choose to sell instantly for the currently price the asset is being traded on the exchange, or we can open an order, defining the price we want to sell our coins.

I observe real time exchanges' rates are inferior to the general market price I find on google, and that is acceptable, since each exchange will have different rates depending their trading volume, although it always feel like you aren't selling your coins for the fair price.

So, what do you prefer, to sell your coins instantly for less or to open an order and profit a slight better margin, reaching the general market's prices rates?

2819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 11, 2023, 12:02:37 AM
As far as I know people living in sports betting aren't exactly profiting from their bets, but from sponsors, youtube channels, donators and passive income investments which proportionate them to maintain their gambling routine. Unless you know someone personally who live from bets, you have to be skeptical about it, because the easiest thing on the internet for popular social influencers is to exhibit an artificial life which doesn't correspond to the reality behind the curtains of the spectacle. Sadly, many people believe anyone they see on the internet, since they look wealthy and charismatic.

That's correct. You can't rely on your wins, that's not a way to make a living. A gambler can be at a loss for a month or two and if that's his only way of making money he's going to starve. What if you have a family? Are you going to tell your wife that this month you won't be driving anywhere because you're out of money for gas?
Gamblers who live out of gambling are either affiliated with casinos, or own casinos themselves.
Indeed, that would be a very unstable life to rely on gambling source of income for a living, especially when having wife and children to feed and raise. It's surprising, but there is actually some insane people who take those gambling streamers seriously and resign their daily jobs to adopt a similar lifestyle, expecting they will be able to live from income of sports bets and earn even more than they were earning on their previous daily jobs.
2820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: January 10, 2023, 10:49:56 PM
The best strategy is to not miss the train. It's actually not very important if you buy the dip or on the middle of the way, the important is that you bought a portion of bitcoins and are ready with your holdings safe and sound for the future. There is no mistery on it and everyone is able to build their bitcoin portfolios taking advantage of future price increasements, being them newbies or experient enthusiasts. As an example I could mention the present moment: we aren't at the dip, but if you can buy bitcoin right now, do this, because your focus is on long term, and not on what is going to happen tomorrow or on the next month.

You don't need to wait to start investing, you can do this now.
