That's all the circle of life, what lives must die eventually. We can slow down the process but eventually the earth will die.

Yet, because we can't understand how life could have happened in the first place, perhaps we will live again. There is no reason to think that we won't. And God and the Bible tell us that we will.

I love how a topic I made back in 2014 is still managing to piss people off Cheesy

Not people, just BADecker. Most of the pages of this thread are just full of BADecker preaching so he doesn't have to burn eternally after death (Isn't God so loving?)

What's really amazing is, that intelligent people, who take warning when the clouds roll in and the lightening flashes and the thunder roars, so that they seek cover from the rain, are so generally apathetic about their eternal state.

If there had been nothing backing my words, your apathy would be understandable. But I have shown you the science and nature for the existence of God, I have explained how mankind is a religious type creature, you have the thinking that you can examine on your own so that you can take warning and come in out of the rain, but you ignore your impending destruction, even though you don't really have anything to show that the things that I say are false, and the evidence of death is all around us in the graveyards of the world.

Amazing!

A world without religion would be really great , but I think religions may stay forever
in the history even before prophets people created many things to worship , so it's the human nature I guess
all the religions should be replaced with humanity in my opinion

The absolute only way to get rid of religion is to get rid of people. All people are religious, and religiously minded beings. Even the ones who say that they have no religion, simply have a religion of non-religion. Even the ones who don't think about religion at all, still have a personal religion in their life.

Cool

It depends how you define religion. For most people, religion is something that cannot be scientifically explained. I cannot accept something like that, so in this sense, I have no religion. On the other hand, if you call religion the making of the universe and the laws of physics, then yes, I am a religious person. But in this case, religion is pure science Smiley
No religion as nothing to do with science..
Lets not get into the religious argument because you do something religiously no no no we have had that one before Wink....

Science has a whole lot to do with religion.

If you go to store, and get a can of Hunt's tomato sauce, where do the scientists tell you it came from?

They say "Walmart." But you could have gotten it from Safeway, Basha's, Kroger, or one of many other stores. You might have gotten it from a food bank.

Big Bang Theory is like this. Science doesn't know that BB was a reality. Many scientists say that it was, but their science could be lacking all kinds of information. Many people believe what the scientists say, that BB is real. They are like the lay-people in church.

If scientists have become smart enough to figure out your receipt, they know where your tomato sauce came from. But, if they are that smart, they would never tell. Because they would know that God created the universe.

Although science has the scientific process which has little or nothing to do with religion, science has become a whole lot more things than the scientific process alone. Science has become a religion.

Cool

I generally am a critic of science, the way we have it today, I consider science to be a religion in itself (Keep in mind that I'm not an atheist, I'm actually quite religious).

However, you're essentially saying that your God is the God of the Gaps.

First, God isn't my God in the sense that I own Him.

Second, since He is the God of the universe, He is your God as well, even though you might have hidden within yourself your knowledge of Him that we all have in our hearts.

Third, God might be a God of the gaps in a slight sense, if there wasn't a second, far more common, explanation of Him besides science. This second explanation that everyone sees is the machinery of nature.

Fourth, the overwhelmingly universal penetration of the 3 scientific observations that are facts and laws of the universe - cause and effect, complex universe, universal entropy - without anything other then some fragile theories to suggest that one or all of them are not universal facts and laws, shows that there are no gaps.

The existence of God is fact! Belief in the idea that God does not exist is brainwashing or self-brainwashing. It might not be such if we didn't have the evidence of the machinery of nature. But since nature is marvelous beyond all our understanding in its machinery all around us, and since we know from experience all over the place that machines take intelligence to build, Whoever built the machinery of nature fits our definition of the word "God."

I wanted to thank you for, again, giving me the opportunity to show the existence of God to people, by prompting me for a reply to your post.

So do the gold and silver runners..

Also how do we pay to travel all over the world?..

That's what is so good about common law nations, like the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, and India. The individual is sovereign over government. In the USA, it's by the Preamble, and the Bill of rights, esp. the 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th Amendments.

Richard Dawkins famously said "We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further"

We cannot ban religion. But I hope someday it will be abolished; simply because people wont need it

Dawkins, along with most of science, simply ignores the scientific proof for God, as well as the example of nature's machinery.

Cool

He doesn't ignore it; there simply isn't any proof of God Smiley "Nature's machinery" is pure science Smiley

Nature's machinery is an example for us. We make our machines. Some of them are very complex. Without our making of them, they would never get mad... at least that we have example of in nature.

All of our machinery comes from nature, one way or another, or the example that nature's machinery shows us. All of our machinery is inferior to the machinery of nature.

But since life as it is, is impossible (except for the fact that it exists), there is really no way to say for sure that eternal life via the resurrection is a false promise.

Bordering on nihilism there. There is really no way to say for sure that eternal life via the Cat in the Hat is a false promise either.

The fact that life and this whole universe is impossible with regard to any source we have scientifically found that could explain it, and the fact that all our mankind-created explanations are simply wild stories, the Bible - testifying all the way back to the Beginning - turns out to be the best explanation of our existence that we have.

I think the Christians in this thread need a warm congratulations from us all.
Giving us such a real deep in-depth demonstration of the BS they speak, has been a real eye-opener for the rest of us and must be quite fatiguing for them to constantly keep their BS levels high.

Thanks.  Smiley

Lol, ain't it brilliant??

Among the greatest miracles of the Bible include the ability to spew out even the most absurd of claims, and still have otherwise reasonably intelligent Christians suffer from cognitive dissonance as they attempt to explain how something so mundane can be correct, like God creating plants before the Sun.

The explanation is in the word "God." And the clarification of it is in "God Almighty." There can't be an explanation for God almighty because He is way beyond us in everything He does.

Cool

The Lord works in mysterious ways indeed. For example, he will kill some guy for picking up sticks on Saturday, but let another get drunk and impregnate his daughters (shortly after turning his wife into a pillar of salt for turning her neck, that is).

And again. It appears like this to us because we don't know what was in the hearts of those people, nor the circumstances of the situations... except maybe in general. However, God protects His own. In addition, God protects all people by letting them die when living is something that is extremely unbearable for them. I mean, why live an extra hundred years after you are so pathetically worn out that living is a daily pain?

Another example. Some unbeliever might die at 25, while a believer might die at 75. The believer dies so much older because God is allowing him to rack up points in Heaven for the evangelizing he is doing while alive. But God is allowing the younger person to die, because He sees that the guy will never turn to God, and God is protecting him from the Hell punishment for additional sinning that he might do if he lived longer.

Not really so mysterious.

Cool

I have bolded out the Orwellian parts that will help you see why you sound like a fascist eugenicist. "God protects his own"? That's Nationalism. "God protects all people by letting them die?" That's Orwellian. "Why live an extra hundred years after you are so pathetically worn out that living is a daily pain"? That's eugenics.

Nationalism? Eugenics? You got it, Buddy. You are finally waking up, right? See the below happening from Daniel in the Bible. The end of it is happening right now. The reign of the "Rock" nation is about to formally start.

From Daniel 2:1-3:
Quote
1 In the second year of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; his mind was troubled and he could not sleep.

2 So the king summoned the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers and astrologersdto tell him what he had dreamed. When they came in and stood before the king,

3 he said to them, “I have had a dream that troubles me and I want to know what it means.”

Then, later, from Daniel 2:24-35:
Quote
24 Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him.”

25 Arioch took Daniel to the king at once and said, “I have found a man among the exiles from Judah who can tell the king what his dream means.”

26 The king asked Daniel (also called Belteshazzar), “Are you able to tell me what I saw in my dream and interpret it?”

27 Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about,

28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you lay on your bed are these:

29 “As you were lying there, O king, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen.

30 As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than other living men, but so that you, O king, may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.

31 “You looked, O king, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance.

32 The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze,

33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.

34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them.

35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth."

Next, God's interpretation of the dream, through Daniel. Daniel 2:36-45 :
Quote
36 “This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king.

37 You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory;

38 in your hands he has placed mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds of the air.

Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

39 “After you, another kingdom will rise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth.

40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.

41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay.

42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.

43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.

“The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future. The dream is true and the interpretation is trustworthy.”

Interpretation of the interpretation. Genearlly the head of gold is interpreted to mean the nation of Babylon.

The "following kingdom " is  Media/Persia, a couple of nations that were closely united.

The third kingdom, the bronze one, is ancient Greece.

The fourth kingdom, strong like iron, is the Roman Empire, and might be the Roman Catholic Church.

The iron mixed with clay represents all nations that follow Rome, but do not keep its strength.

The rock, cut out of a mountain but not by hands, which smashed the whole statue, is the Kingdom of God. Not only will it smash all nations and yet remain, but it has done so in the past. This rock might be referring to Jesus, Himself.

Finally, you are getting there.

The Chinese already did.

No they didn't. They simply replaced it with State religion which is more loosely formed in some areas and more strongly formed in other areas than what is generally thought of as religion.

Cool

This is correct. South East Asian atheism is tricky, because state atheism just seeks to remove all the deities apart from the state itself, which is actually quite worse than what we have in other parts of the world where people practice their religions freely. Ironic isn't it?

So that the State can become the "god" and the high priests (governing officials) get the tax money. At least with Christianity there is the promise of eternal life.

Cool

Read: At least with Christianity you have the same false promises as any other religion. It's ironic you talk about high priests in government positions getting tax money but at the same time, dodging any kind of payment on their own part.

You can guess that if you want. But since life as it is, is impossible (except for the fact that it exists), there is really no way to say for sure that eternal life via the resurrection is a false promise.

Government officials work for their money. So do church officials.

In spite of not being in the same camp as Flat-Earthers, I'm taken aback by our closest star supposedly having an Earth-like planet orbiting it. How convenient to have said star in some plane not in line with our orbit have said planet just happen to be in a plane tilted such so that when it passed in front of its sun we were able to "see" it. What are the odds?

Further, I can't get over how with 60's technology they were able to fold three giant parachutes to fit into a five-gallon bucket, have it travel in below freezing temperature to the moon and back, enter the atmosphere of Earth where it heated up, then pop the cap to let it out at the right time, whereupon it unfolds without twisting so to slow a non-aerodynamic capsule gently to the ocean where ships awaited its arrival a small handful of miles away.

Houston: Eagle, you're off course. Delete the basic program and write the following code without any errors and that should get you back on track for another five minutes.
Eagle: Roger that.

Knowing they faked the moon landing, I couldn't figure out why they would go through all that trouble.

hiding the flat earth answers that question

Why they would hide the flat earth is another question

It was simply advertising.

Who knows what the moon landing really looked like. They didn't know ahead of time that it would work out that well. That's the only reason they made the movie. It was all advertising so they could get funds to go even further.

The real question is, how do you take advantage of people waking up to the fact that the landing vids were faked? The answer is, make the people thing that the Orion Project is all the farther they have gone. Then, at just the right time in the future, if necessary, they can allow people to get some idea of the great strides they have really made behind the scenes.

In other words, they are playing dumb like the people are beginning to think they have been all along. They are doing it so that they can suck ever more funding out of government, when really, they are way farther along than anyone could begin to imagine.

Now the god you know of is he broke?..
If you say no then what's going on with all this war and kids dying of cancer and so on..
Now if you learn how to make a universe will it be better than this one?
Now just be careful how you answer because you could upset your own god..So will your universe be better than this one?
Now if it's the same as this one we are back to building sheds with rotten wood and bad nails..

Since you are a mocker at heart, I could expect no better from you. However, there are a few people in this forum who will read this and check it out.

Actually, it is you who looks stupid.

Saint Paul tells us in the Bible that we don't know what we will be when we arise, BUT, we will be like Jesus, because we will see Him as He is.

Jesus is God as attested to throughout the Bible in various ways. The Bible also tells us that anybody who sees God will die. So, to see God and live, we need to be like God.

Wake up and change before you miss out on the greatest opportunity of all.

I think he believes in God, just ashamed to admit. Many people say they do not believe in God, but when they are afflicted pray to God

Everyone believes in God way down deep. We have to, because we were made in the image of God, even though we corrupted ourselves. The point isn't believing that God exists. James in the Bible tells us that even demons believe and shutter or tremble. The thing we need to do is acknowledge God, and pray for salvation.
