I'm definitely surprise by the price of bitcoin today, bitcoin is now at $20k and growing in price value is i speak, In 2018 the price of bitcoin will be going up rapidly, The only thing is that the fees are too high, I hope the fees can get adjust soon like every other currency.
Lightning Network is almost ready as far as I'm aware. That would slaughter fees and transaction times.

Storj has been going sideways for months and still hasn't pumped during this bull-run. Could be a solid short term candidate and certainly a good mid to long term buy.

Don't understand why everyone is so negative about it. I think it depends from person to person. But you should probably earn that money to say they cannot buy it.
It doesn't depend on the person. True happiness comes from within for everyone. The best thing money can do is serving as a bandaid or a useful tool. But if you're not in charge of your own mental world you're screwed even with all the wealth in the world.

Someone, early this morning, while I was sleeping, hacked into my main e-mail account. They then proceeded to change the password on my Gmail account, which tipped me off, by sending me a text. After I changed the password back on my main e-mail account, it had an e-mail with a code to change the password on my Facebook account too. I then learned that they changed the passwords on my Coinbase, my Bittrex and My Poloniex account. Fortunately, I have 2fa activated on all of them, so they didn't get shit. I guess the lesson learned is that I should use a different e-mail for each and every one of my online accounts. What a fucking pain in the ass. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) How did they change your password on coinbase, bittrex and poloniex if you have 2FA enabled? Or you have it only for withdrawls? ANyways, good to hear it didn't have bigger consequences. You can reset the password without doing the 2fa. They just need the e-mail that you use. Just not get into the account afterword. I lost some bitcoins in February due to e-mail hacking and phone porting, and funny that hackers may not know how many coins that you have, and from rumors, here, bones, you have claimed to be pretty poor in your bitcoin holdings - yet hackers do not necessarily know that. So there are a few ways that we can become vulnerable, and the hackers are considering different ways to enter into accounts that have lesser levels of security... needless to say that I had taken several measures to improve my security, and I had some further attempts, but so far, none of the hacking attempts had been successful after February.. and I am not ruling out techniques that could be employed by hackers to break into account, so security continues to be an evolving question and something that we want to keep abreast of, and even while life happens, we do not want to create so much security or to end up losing our own access to our account that might not even had been caused by a hacker. Locking myself out makes me more paranoid than hackers to be honest.

Some one should talk cuz I invested big in this ICO is it a scam or not
Yes it is a scam. I've been trying to warn people, but greed always seems to win anyways.

what clients are expected to be the first users of the network ? How can you put your computer in the network ? (will it be like running a nod ?) (did I miss the document where everything is explained ?)
Any client that needs computing tasks outsourced will be the first user of the network. You can use the docker to rent out your hardware, which you can "sell" for a given timeframe on a market/exchange type of platform. Depending on your hardware, time-frame and reputation you'll land different prices. You're expected to keep your hardware running fulltime and if you fail to do so you will be downgraded and possibly miss out on future offers. I recommend watching the Youtube Q&As, they're very good.

The strange part of the 6 months hold requirement is that you do not receive a bank card for 6 months while the competition moves forward in the meantime. Isn’t this requirement actually hurting Monaco.
“You want to buy toilet paper? Sure, hold these tokens for 6 months and you’ll get it. Good luck the next 6 months”.
Nope The moment u locked it, your card will be processed and sent to you in matter of weeks. Meanwhile there is ntg u can do wit your tokens l for 6 months as MCO will hold your private keys. They r not fool to send your card after 6 months' lock. Thats a turn off if they do that. Why not do it that you voluntarily lock the needed amount of MCO and if you for whatever reason decide to sell, you just downgrade the card to the standard free version and your MCO gets unlocked...? I know you would have a different color of the card, but it shouldn't matter, right? It does matter. I tried getting a ruby red card with higher perks, but it wasn't possible.

do you think that in 2018 it can reach 5,000? There are hundreds of ico with erc-20 token. Blockchain can also exist without bitcoins but surely all tokens can not live without ether
If the bull market continues, why not. x6 isn't really that much. But there are much more exciting coins out there than Ethereum.

My DNA and my character makes me special. Al of us has something that distinguishes us from others people. So don’t worry, You are superspecial
But if everybody has something that makes them different, doesn't that make everyone the same?

Personally, I didn't have any issues buying NVST multiple times from counterparty, It took a little time for the transaction to be completed each time, but It also worked perfectly each time.
It's just very cumbersome, as you first have to buy BTC, then XCP and then NVST. cumbersome, really ? it only takes a few clicks ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) To be fair, crypto is usually pretty much instant. Meanwhile having to three exchanges almost reminds one of traditional bank transfers. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I forced mine to buy 0.1 ... 0.05 ... etc... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) At least they have a small piece of it and don't come begging at me when they are poor. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I tried, but almost all of my friends are pussies. I got exactly two of them to start and one only went in with monopoly money.

there are many, I like IOTA, XMR, POWR, ADA, KMD, LSK, EOS, NEO, ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 2 years is a very long time for me to trust any of these coins. IOTA has already shown serious weaknessess in it's technology, the rest don't have anything I would considering interesting enough for one to get rich in 2 years. XMR is probably the only one I would feel "safe" holding 2 years due filling the anon coin niche but it has serious scaling issues too. The only coin without scaling issues that I'm aware of right now is/are Waves with over 100 tx/sec and scalability to 1000 tx/sec. Surely others will follow though, otherwise they'd perish.

Blocklancer is just about to launch its ICO (in January).
They've been consistently working hard on figuring out every little detail in anticipation of their launch instead of after raising money. Something very formidable that no other ICO has done so far (as far as I'm aware of).
Targeting mass adoption of a multi-trillion dollar market (freelancing) by addressing all the common problems that are encountered on traditional freelancing platforms.

Bitcoins price is growing so fast because of the demand. The more demand the bitcoin price rises.
And the more the price rises the more demand there is. Mostly due to the 500k to 2000k USD Bitcoin predictions.

I think it will become worst. There will be a war between all countries. There will be bombs everywhere, nukes will landing in different places, bloods and dead people will seen in the streets, and many people will become slaves.
Nope. I think that the opposite will happen. As technology progresses, people will become less interested in fighting. Also, human life will become more valuable (because most of the couples will be having just one or two children). Slavery will cease to exist, as people will become more educated, sensitive, and prone to political correctness. Slavery still exists in some sense in first world countries. But that's mostly due to people being unwilling to push themselves further. That's probably not going to go away. And for fucks sake, I hope political correctness will never be a mainstream thing (it's only a real issue in the US as far as I can tell anyways). Pandering to whiny idiots just creates more whiny idiots and less people who are willing to explore their full potential as a human being. Political correctness is a cancer that needs to go. I do agree that the world will get increasingly better though. There'll be new problems, but overall there'll be an upwards trend.

I am not sure the bitcoin cash can be beat of bitcoin. Bitcoin cash is altcoins and no altcoins can be replace bitcoin in the future.
There's no realistic scenario in which lolBCash could overtake Bitcoin right now.

Things are looking pretty good for all cryptocurrencies in general. Even though Bitcoin struggles to break the $20,000 resistance, all altcoins are slowly catching up again. In the case of the Ethereum price, we will most likely see a new all-time high in the next 24 hours. With the Ethereum price now holding its own above $732, surpassing the previous ATH of $744 shouldn’t be overly difficult. It is good to see the Ethereum price approach the previous all-time high again, though. A lot of people have been waiting to see Ethereum hit $1,000 this year. $1000k Soon.
20.000$ resistance is not be found with technical analysis. It is just a psychological resistance. It won't be hard to pass that if enough volume occurs. It will be like same with ethereum on 1000$. The real question is what the next target for BTC is after it breaks the 20k resistance and how quickly it will move there. Swinging alts is getting increasingly difficult.

That could also make you complacent though.

Buying drugs for bitcoin is a silly idea now.. So slow, so expensive and no more anonymous.. people would rather use DASH or ZCash for that kind of deals.
Wasn't Monero the new go-to crypto? Haven't heard much about DNMs since the last crackdown, was wondering if those had anything to do with the XMR spike or if that's just crypto being in a bull market.
