2821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play Dice with Autobet? on: November 26, 2016, 12:54:53 PM
Do you play dice manually, using autobet or third party bot?
If you play using built in autobet what features options you consider most important?

dice is a boring game as it is without use of an automation technique and if you remove that automation and leave yourself to make bets manually by clicking the Roll button over and over you will end up mad and losing your mind!

and yeah i use the websites bot not a third party ever because i trust it more and it is easier to use. and the strategy is nothing fancy the same old martingale method Smiley
2822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin: Prepare on: November 26, 2016, 12:49:10 PM
....
The benefits of ltc as listed are quite well known to people and it would be good to take stock of the promised developments in 2016 from the link you posted to see if LTC developed the way it was planned to.

I can't see how OP arrived at a 150$ valuation... care to share a little more concrete, less tongue-in-cheek analysis?

topics like this don't really have much to say because it is guess work and is mostly hyping a particular coin up.

with that said i believe the litecoin is one of the rare altcoins that has stuck around and will continue doing so and because of that it will have a better price in the future but i seriously doubt that it can ever reach $150 from the current $4 ish price because there is not much use for this coin.
2823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do Bitcoin and Chinese Yuan Values Correlate? on: November 26, 2016, 12:44:22 PM
Chinese have always been investing in bitcoin and altcoins on top of many different things so it is not like your typical small country where their currency value drops they do nothing or at the very best they invest in gold.

in China they are going to invest in bitcoin as much as they can and if their currency value goes down i am sure bitcoin price will have a nice time.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: time to buy Dogecoin on: November 26, 2016, 12:39:27 PM
the community is too strong for this coin, and its a good alternative for transferring balance
maybe its hard to see a big jump but the price wont fall too much

that is where you are wrong.
i agree that the community is strong with this one! but no amount of community strength and enthusiasm can help Dogecoin survive because there is a lot of coins created each day by miners and are dumped on the market and on top of that there is a limitless number of coins in circulation which no amount of buy support can keep up with.

that is why Dogecoin price has only been falling if you look at the charts starting from 2 years ago.
2825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How and where do I store my bitcoins? on: November 26, 2016, 12:35:22 PM
I have less than 10  in localbitcoins and about 5 each on BTCC and their justpay wallet.

I don't trade actively, just buying around 1 coin every week or two since a few months ago.

Should I be considering some secured wallet?

Maybe for you it is not a large amount of bitcoin but for me and for a good number of users here it is not a small amount of bitcoins.

I would suggest you to buy a hardware wallet, maybe a trezor or a ledger nano S or hw.1(it is the cheapest one), they are safe enough but you can use also paper wallets but hardware wallets are more user friendly.

i still can not wrap my head around for buying a hardware wallet. in my opinion it is not yet worth it for me to pay $100 (or less for some other producers) just to hold my bitcoins as long as i can make a perfectly safe cold storage on my own and then spend from it the same easy and safe way.
2826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: problems with bitcoin holder on: November 26, 2016, 12:29:23 PM
No specific problems were experienced because of the users who hold small number of bitcoin, only at some rare instances when big whales hold a huge volume it affects the price and circulation. Even while holding if a small amount were spend regularly growth won't be affected much.

there are more 16 million bitcoins in circulation today and no whale can hold enough to matter for bitcoin price and its circulation. what you say is only true about those altcoins that are created everyday with 80-90% pre-mine or ICO or in general controlled by a couple of holders not for bitcoin.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone ever look at "Announcements (Altcoins)" anymore? on: November 24, 2016, 06:28:28 PM
Nah, i don't care about it enough to go and waste my time by checking their announcement and see the same topics over and over again.

With so many coins being created maybe it's time to sub divide that page into different sections.

- Long term PoW blockchains.
- Short term PoW -> PoS blockchains
- ICOs -> PoS or PoW blockchains
- ICOs -> meta-coin tokens on top of another blockchain

i liked the idea of dividing that section into some sub categories. but the problem is the categories. for example ICOs are going to end which board will you put them in? and besides the sub-boards will be filled with the same thing again. now we have multiple boards with shitcoins in it.

however if we could come up with a better categories it would be good.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: November 24, 2016, 06:14:10 PM
For the people who say online gambling is illegal in their country, is it that it is for gambling sites to operate/have servers in your country and offer gambling to those citizens? Or is it that it is specifically illegal for citizens to gamble online on any site on the internet? Or both?

it is different in different countries.
there are countries that say gambling is illegal no matter how you do it (offline casino, online gambling site, in a back alley,...) there can be no casino operating on their soil whether it is physical place or an online server thingy.

also there are countries that say only online gambling are illegal because they couldn't tax them but since they can tax offline physical casinos they allow that so in these countries they will block gambling sites and fine those who run it inside the country.

Ok but why are you talking about block size increase in speculation board?
2830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you do when BTC shoots up? on: November 24, 2016, 06:04:32 PM
Hi,

I'd like to know what do you think is a good strategy when BTC price shoots up and you feel it's going to come down again.
- hold on to your Bitcoin?
- Sell it for USD hoping to buy it again cheaper?
- Sell it for other crypto (in this case which would you choose)?

the scenario you are asking about has only one answer and one answer only! Sell and buy back at the bottom.

because anybody with  clear head is going to see that if price shoots up (suddenly goes up very high) there is always a correction coming afterwards because people are cashing out their investment and also surely after that there will be the rest of the rise which makes a rise a dip and then rise again.

if you are wise and fast you sell on top and buy back in the dip to enjoy the rest.
2831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This man sells his cattle for Bitcoin in Zimbabwe! on: November 24, 2016, 05:58:32 PM
haha this was pretty funny.
but i think the real question is if this is a Joke and if he is going to be successful in selling his cattle in the end?!!!

because to be honest i don't see any farmer in a third world country be using bitcoin and wanting to spend it on a cattle!
2832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin business idea on: November 23, 2016, 04:06:33 PM
  • Exchange
  • Blog
  • Lending
  • Trading
  • Selling stuff in bitcoin
  • Freelance job in bitcoin

i will choose Exchange because i think it is the most profitable thing out there and it can be successful if you offer some local fiat transfer in a country that doesn't have any service like this but has many bitcoin users.

Blog: is not a business but more of a tiny side thing that you do.
Lending: is too small and risky
Trading: is also what i do and prefer with smaller amount
Selling stuff: it is a bit hard specially with physical goods
Freelance: is good as long as the pay is good but it usually is not.
2833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: November 23, 2016, 03:54:02 PM
i think it will be a great pump of zcash in december, after a slow start and low price near 0.05-0.07btc. wait and then make money)

That will only happen after the big whales have accumulated enough. It might not be ready in December.
it will be more and more coins every day. I told about december because the date of slow start ending is the nearest date of something could happen. Then i will not see really big causes for pump. except whales accumulating, of cours. But for more strong pump they nedd some information activity and news, i think.

There would be no news hence  whales do appear on random ways  and the  price increase  will surely be visible for all  and that means the whales  have just bought  zcash  but i think it wont happen on this upcoming december but well who knows on what will happen on zcash, price drops drastically since on the beggining.

I think the pumper will wait until the Z address is implemented properly, then they will pump the coins a lot.

you can never predict the pumps and surely after some new feature is realeased to an altcoin there is automatically a hype going on with that particular altcoin which can help the price rise.

if the pumpers were ready (had accumulated enough and are not pumping other coins at that moment) they will use this to pump it otherwise not gonna happen!
2834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best alternative to bitcoins on: November 23, 2016, 03:46:03 PM
hello everyone, i would like to invest in cryptocurrencies apart from bitcoins which cryptocurrency is advisable to invest in

nothing can compete with bitcoin. not as a currency to be used for payment or money transfer and not in terms of investment. because all of the altcoins are so much riskier than bitcoin investment. with bitcoin you know there is always some use for it and you can always use it to pay for stuff online but altcoins are only kept in your wallet for a short time before you dump them.

and because of pump and dumps that are happening you can never predict altcoin movements.

also in the end i have to warn you to be careful what coins are suggested here because most of them are not going to be good.
2835  Economy / Speculation / Re: IRS sniffing around Coinbase on: November 23, 2016, 03:35:49 PM
This will be another legal and a "paper trail" headache for the IRS. Imagine this scenario, I buy $100,000 worth of Bitcoins at Coinbase, transfer them to different addresses using an HD wallet. I gamble some in a sportsbetting website, buy altcoins with some at 3 different altcoin exchanges and then transfer them back to different addresses in my HD wallet. I cash out some using Local Bitcoins for a person to person transaction.

How will the IRS figure that out. Also let us pretend I use VPN + Tor since I am also a dark market user.

That's right, I don't see how they can effectively enforce it either. Untangling a series of transactions you described would not be worth the effort (unless you are a high-profile target Cool)and definitely cannot be automated.

i assume you two have never used coinbase because the step one (the first line of Wind_FURY's comment) is how they can find out about you no matter what VPN you use.

when you sign up with Coinbase you give them all your information and then deposit from your bank (i think credit card also) they again know all your information. so no matter what you do with the coins next your account and bank account are flagged  because of purchasing a large amount of bitcoin.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell us How You bet On Dice on: November 23, 2016, 03:27:28 PM
If someone is betting on dice websites then i would like to hear what base bet , Multiplier , and other stuff related to it...

base bet: 1-10 satoshi
multiplier: 2x most of the time
strategy: martingale, which means increase bet size 100% on lose and return to base bet on win.

Quote
Also tell us the most successful strategy you think in gambling .... But please don't say Only Luck works in gambling... I have heard it more than thousand times  Grin

i never had any success with dice in general and i don't think there is any strategy that can work for this game since the way it is designed prevents you from winning and the house edge on top of that ensure it.
2837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wow ,almost 30,000 unconfirmed trans on: November 23, 2016, 03:22:58 PM
Its probably people just trying to spam with network with minuscule transactions with 0 fees, Itll clear up eventually.
False. Please do research before posting or not not post at all.

Full information can be found here.

i just want to add that spam attack he probably had heard and now is talking about is about the old spam attack that was happening (it was never with 0 fee) instead it was with lots of transactions with minimum fee. if i remember correctly it was 0.0001BTC with 0.0001BTC amount of fee.
2838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India is Paying $900+ for Bitcoin Amid Cash Crisis on: November 20, 2016, 02:51:08 PM
i never thought i live to see the day that people of a country actually start buying bitcoin this massively and this expensive just because there is a financial crisis going on in their country.

we have already heard some news about it in Greece and two other places before but they were mostly talk and no action. this time they are actually buying bitcoin!

The safest currencies are the only ones that have the possibility to live during a crisis in this world. In our case, it should be Gold and Bitcoin. Bitcoin as the second because it's virtual and without Internet or electricity we can do NOTHING with it. Gold requires a small space for 1kg (it's as small as a phone), and Gold was always the best one during the World Wars. This is why the traders are relying on Gold too.

when a crisis happens in the world people are not thinking about "money" they think about food and shelter and the basic survival things! instead. and besides you can never store gold or anything else of value in times of crisis especially something that weighs 1 kilogram! and it wouldn't be small either.

Doge Coin has a community ?  Shocked

PS:

I am glad i don't have a scam coin in my forum name here  Grin

I wonder maybe i can get my name changed to "PayCoinProfitStar" or "LEOcoinPonziFan" or "AURprofitWhore" or ...

EDIT:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=461360.msg6100175#msg6100175

..the day i predicted / proven Doge's decimation.

Doge is a shitty coin and it was a joke to begin with and the price is going to die and all that other things, they are all true and we all know it but that doesn't change the fact about the community that it inspired on the internet (although i haven't been seeing much activity lately) and all the other charitable things like that Africa thing they did!
for some reason this coin has stuck around!
2840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start own bitcoin trading bot? on: November 20, 2016, 02:41:24 PM
Hello,

I want to make my own trading bot on some cloud service. Can you post some resources? What I need to run a bot with API that I already have?
Is it possible to write down strategy from api signals?

all of it depends on how much knowledge you have. and you need two different kinds of knowledge: 1) about trading 2) about coding.

you should know trading to be able to come up with the strategies and plans on how you want to handle different scenarios and then you need knowledge of coding to be able to turn those ideas into a code that a computer executes for you.

in other words it is possible if you know those two major things.
