2821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip! Told yah. on: January 15, 2022, 11:40:05 PM
Overall I can't see any reason why BTC should stay under 50k level next resistance will be around $70k levels if bulls can take price from here.
Hopefully it will be as is as what you've said. $70k as the next support would be amazing and high.

But we just can't see that at most times since we haven't reached to that point. If it will do then that's the next ATH that we're going to have. As of the moment, everyone should be happy that bought at the dip.

Now, it has to break $44k barrier that shall give another positive look to the market from those who are disappointed.
Bitcoin has been seeing good signs right now since its price is making a slow increase but we should not just easily jump on a conclusion that its going nowhere but only reaching its new ATH. If we can see the current situation right now, the market is experiencing some price decline so i think its better to fill our bag first with our prospects than to aim for bitcoin reaching its new peak. I know for sure bitcoin will achieve its new heights but i see less chances right now. While waiting for it, why don't we just buy at the dip and continue to enjoy the ride while its still on hand. After this, when we see bitcoin's new ATH, then its time to sell and get our rewards.
2822  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter McCormack: 'Bitcoin has WON the war on money'. Do you agree? on: January 15, 2022, 11:13:05 PM
In a recent interview on the Futurati Podcast (https://youtu.be/TLHPzPbu5JU?t=848) Bitcoin heavyweight Peter McCormack claimed that Bitcoin would beat out fiat, gold, and other cryptocurrencies to become the money of the future.

Wondering what your thoughts are.
How exactly? Did he go further to explain what he really means by Bitcoin beating out Fiat, gold and other currencies to become the money of the future? Of course we all love Bitcoin, and I’m also a big fan of it.

I am always in support of BTC, and always doing my part of the ‘evangelismʼ work in introducing Bitcoin to the world. But, what I always keep telling people is that Bitcoin is not a replacement for Fiat, I don’t know why it is hard for some people to accept this.

Even though I'm one of those people who support Bitcoin, that doesn't mean I agree with the opinion that Bitcoin will replace fiat. Because Bitcoin
was created from the start not to replace fiat, but as an alternative to payments that don't need to go through third parties. After all, the government
will not allow Bitcoin to replace fiat at any time, we also have to look at the reality that Bitcoin still has weaknesses and has not been able to reach
all areas. There are some areas that have not been reached by the internet network, so in those areas Bitcoin cannot be used. After all, fiat is still
very much needed, even the majority of people still use fiat to make financial transactions. So it's the best Bitcoin and fiat co-exist, so we all can
benefit from both, that's the most ideal thing to happen.
Yes, that is what bitcoin supposed to do, to co exist with fiat and not to beat it or replace it. And there's no war in the first place so we should not compare each of them as they exist not to compete but to work with each other. Although we can say that bitcoin is starting to gain massive adoption, but the truth is there are still a lot of people who have been naive to bitcoin and other cryptos. What they only know is fiat that is very useful to buy their basic needs and to receive compensation in terms of fiat.
2823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: an opportunity or preliminary start of bear market?? on: January 15, 2022, 09:51:27 PM
Market was impressive since last year. But after the start of 2022, market start going down and down. It has been saying that, We'll face the bearish market in 2022. Besides lots of people optimistic too & I'm one of them. I thought market will bounce back after weekend end and so many days have gone and no improvement. Yesterday i saw market recovering but now again failed. Still have ether, bnb and others altcoins that i haven’t sold. I don’t understand this is an opportunity or the preliminary start of bear market
One thing we must understand is that, the market does not just keep going up forever, there will be time for corrections, when the market is going through a correction phase, those who don't understand can easily tag it a bear market whereas, it isn't.
I think we are still very much in the green phase of the market, but what we are currently experiencing is a correction which am guessing will last for a moment before we return back to the green again, and I think this time, bitcoin is going to record a new all time high..
Fingers crossed. 🤞
And now that the present correction creates price decline in the market, then we should start taking advantage on it as its always good to buy when prices are in dump. We should not look for another opportunity because we have it already in front of us. If we can't put buy orders this time, and then the market suddenly turns to bull run, then it will never bring us good profits after all. So while there is still dips, its better to buy as much as we can so we can also make unlimited profits when bull run comes.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Is The Safest Meme Coin To Invest In? on: January 15, 2022, 09:12:28 PM
First of all none of the meme coins are safe as they might pump like anything and then suddenly they will be dumped really hard to the point of no recovery, we have seen many meme coins in some third grade exchanges wherein you will find these meme coins under top gainers and within hours they will be too losers due to the lesser trading volume. It's better to stay away from meme coins but yes if you have decided to get into it then go for doge coin as it has survived for years now.
Well, dogecoin may be the only survivor for meme coins but i think, it will still come to its end one of these days. Honestly, i don't see any potentials for meme coins as they don't have any high utility case and use basis, and they only exist if there is hype, if there is no hype then they don't have good value too. Meme coins are only good for pump and dump, and they can't sustain their high value as they suddenly moves down and loses value. So always think twice before you decide to invest in them, cause its like you are playing gambling.
2825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 15, 2022, 10:56:28 AM
Greed has put many people in vain. When a trader is dominated and clouded by greed, the decisions that will be made are those of somehow ignorant of the risks and impacts of such actions because the sole focus is on the reward that was anticipated to receive after doing such. And this does not do good especially in crypto market where everything is volatile. But, sometimes they say that good greed is what will motivate a person and lead to greater success. I think that this would be applicable depending on the capacity of the person to handle greed and ability to make good decisions at the same time.
I agree on you. Although it is really known that if you trade with greed, you'll end up losing all what you have started. But there are instances too that greed may sometimes lead into a more fruitful success because you will be doing your best because of the rewards that you will get if you will end up the trading successfully. However, in most cases, its still not advisable to be driven with greed if you are in trading since you will lost your focus on the real goal because you are eager on the profits that you may get.
2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: January 14, 2022, 11:39:21 PM
~snip~

So instead of thinking about the $100k price, why not consider the possibility of accumulating when bitcoin drops $20k?

Do you think it's possible?
^ Think positive. I am a BTC enthusiast so I am thinking positively here.
In my opinion, even though BTC's price will not reach $100k by this year but I am sure it will reach that amount, it could be in the next year or it could be in the last quarter of this year which is commonly BTC price will pump on that month.
For me, it is possible that BTC will pump up so much and we are on the way to $100k that we should watch out.
Bitcoin will eventually achieve that amount but it will be uncertain when will it happen. But seeing bitcoin's high volatility, i think it will still be possible this year despite of the prices in dumping. After this expected bear season, bitcoin will rise up again having its strong momentum to move up. But if the market will be full of negative news after the bear season, then we can't expect for bitcoin to reach its new ATH. Maybe by next year, the chances will be very high by then. So never lose hope and keep positive.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 14, 2022, 09:28:23 PM
HODL is considered a strategy that tends to avoid short-term price fluctuations.
Beginner traders either lose money or make less profit than when they hold their coins.
when you can't buy at the current price and are still stuck at a relatively higher price then there's no harm in doing hodling because indeed this is one of the necessities when the coin being held is a coin that has potential there.
on the other hand it is also very good to practice our patience, especially for beginners who incidentally are still passionate about trading Cheesy
Hodling for long term may even bring out the best profits as long as we are into hodling established and coins with high utility and use cases. But of course, it won't be profitable enough if we are not that patient and has positive mindset. So there's nothing wrong if we only chose to hodl rather than sell it in a price that won't satisfy us. I believe we have the right to do what will be the best for us and for our assets, and its our coins so we should be more capable how to make them profitable.
Yeah, patience is always the key to success but somehow, people had made it difficult and can't control themselves which makes them decide to sell especially when they saw market declines. Emotion is the biggest enemy when it comes to holding, the majority got in trouble with this and it cause major losses for them.
If we can manage to handle/change this, everything will be alright, I think. Yes, it was very challenging but if we are committed to changing our mindset and keeping into positive, that would be easy.
Yes, without patience, you can never sustain from long term hodling. And even if you go into short term trading, without patience to understand the market, you will still fail and end up losing. So its always the best virtue not just in crypto alone but in all aspects of business industries.

However, if you can manage not to hodl for long term because you are more capable in short term, that will be a good strategy too as long as you know and is more capable how to make your profits consistently.
2828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 14, 2022, 08:42:05 PM
$43k, $45k, heading back to $50k again? I'm in a wait for that moment, and people do.

I'm already on the ride, I'd already buy some in anticipating the coming Bullrun, may I couldn't miss this time again. Well, it is just a hope but I'm looking forward to seeing the market will get back into bullish again. But, even though it never happens, I was going to be okay, it doesn't matter as the most important is that I made this chance to buy some coins at a cheaper price as for someday I could benefit from them.
Exactly. There's no valid reason that we should not be okay this time because even if the market won't turn into bullish, the fact that we are already preparing for it by filling our bag with potential coins while they are still cheap, then its definitely a good reason that we are still heading for huge profits in the future. Meanwhile, about what you said OP that the bulls are coming back, hopefully it will, but seems the market won't allow it this time.
2829  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 13, 2022, 09:50:46 PM
BTC has crossed the mark of $43k after a while and will it pump further towards $50k and is this the buy in period or else it will once again dump and stay around $40k for some more time? IMO there are more possibilities of bitcoin recovering from recent correction and March towards $50k which will send green signal for entire crypto market and we have even noticed it's positive effect today on top altcoins, what's your take on this?
Even today it was trading around $44.5k levels, it fell down all of sudden and right now it seems anything could happen in bitcoin market. I am sorry that I am not here to spread FUD but it seems that bitcoin market may quickly test its support region one more time which may be below $40k levels this time as well. But, on positive side, we may have sharp bounce back from the current price levels which may go up to $45k to $49k levels in coming days hence just watching market for few more days might get anyone about the clear idea on market direction.
Yes. We'll just observe the market in the next days so we will know what will be its next move. I think if the market turns bearish, there's no need to fear or panic since we all know it won't be forever. We just need to be open minded and always remember that a market needs a bullish and a bearish cycle for it to evolve.

However, this correction or let's say this soon to be bearish market is another opportunity to invest so we have to grab the chance while we can accumulate coins at their cheap prices.  It will be a good start to make good profits in the future.
2830  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is for everyone but not everyone will be for Bitcoin on: January 13, 2022, 07:39:20 PM
That's the fact that we have to face that Bitcoin investment could only be perfect for those who can invest in it. It needs emotional and financial preparedness because knowledge and understanding about the basics of it aren't enough if we don't have enough allocated funds to invest in it. Bitcoin might not be for everyone but we can do something to change our fate. Saving and allocating a portion of our earnings so we'll have something to invest in it would be a good move.
Lacking of finances can be a great barrier not to create positive changes in  one's life. But if you are determined to fulfill your dream, you can do something to make it work. Investing in bitcoin is for everyone so all are free to buy bitcoin even in just a small amount. And i think earning a small portion of your income is still possible so that you can start to invest in bitcoin that will help improve your life once you make profits in bitcoin. As long as you have the courage and patience to hold it for quite some time, definitely it will give good returns once bitcoin becomes bullish again.
2831  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitVest, The worst casino I have ever seen on: January 10, 2022, 09:47:49 PM
I hope they are not in any way affiliated with the large company called, BidVest with more than 132 870 employees.  Roll Eyes  I know the site name is spelled slightly different (BitVest) ..but it's pronunciation is almost the same.

The real BidVest site even have a Bank called Bidvest Bank ....so they are doing very well in Africa. THE BIDVEST GROUP LIMITED is an international investment holding company listed on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa in the Industrial – Support Service sector, with subsidiaries listed on the London, Australian and Luxembourg stock exchanges.
Dont know on why you had attached out a Bank into a gambling site or company? Slight changes and similarity on how it pronounced doesnt automatically means that they are related.

So its a non relevant thing you had posted on here.It has nothing to do with this issue and i boggles up my mind on why their affiliated or something.

So better not to make out some speculative approach if you dont able to back it up with some facts.

Only bitvest could confirm if they are affiliated or not, but I think it's pretty obvious that they are not as we are linking bitvest to a big company with over 100k employees which bitvest might not even have at less than 1% of that number. Stop the speculation, that doesn't make sense at all to be honest.

Also, OP call it the worst casino, how can they be linked to a good business?

BTW, are we talking about this company (https://www.bidvest.co.za/)?
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 10, 2022, 09:16:28 PM
We can not say that only casimero is the strongest fighter in their division which is a Bantamweight we have still Donaire and Inoue they are strong boxers too.

Donaire and Inoue hold a different organization title:

Bantamweigh Division

WBO = Casimero
WBA / IBF = Inoue
WBC = Donaire

Butler is under WBO on which he will make an attempt to snatch the title to Casimero.

What will happen next?

- Butler will win the fight against Casimero and it will now be Butler vs Inoue next. Cheesy

If that will happen then Inoue will be so obvious that he is just avoiding Casimero, and with that, I don't think he really deserves the respect to be called as a champion, nowhere near to MP as he was compared to him as the next one, but MP never avoids an opponent whether he is a trash talker or not.

Quote
- Inoue might jump to Superfeatherweight at 122lbs. No more Casimero vs Inoue there but instead Casimero vs Donaire unification match.
I'm fine with this, but under the same promoter, is it possible?

Obviously, these are just our own speculation, maybe it's more realistic if we know first how Inoue would react after Casimero will defend his belt, if he won't say something about the possible unification fight with Casimero, then we can conclude that he is really dodging him.
2833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 10, 2022, 08:35:10 PM
Since IATF is only referring to big numbers of cases rather than the condition, like most of the cases are mild, then no more sports event yet. Even the mild of the mild cases will be considered a threat. I understand though but the country can't afford anymore those limited restrictions. We can move forward even without these overrated restrictions like going in Level 4. Put a heavily strict on those hard-headed people that will not follow the safety protocol rather than limit people's activity because of these restrictions in Level 3 and possible level 4.

I see your point, but even this is not as deadly as how those previous covid but if you have co-morbidities; you are still in danger,
the virus can still trigger and take your life, not good for PBA to push things up and I really appreciated what step they take about this matter, money ain't the first priorities but the safety of everyone.. Keep safe!

Right! Also even if the PBA has been granted an exception by the IATF to resume its games, there's still no point to resume the games scheduled at some places like MOA Arena or Araneta Coliseum if people still can't buy the tickets and to see it live on scene. How could the league make some profit or atleast get the funds they released when they can't even sell some tickets.
This is the very best choice they've got and we can't expect some games soon as the cases continues to spike daily. So, it's safe to assume that there will an extension to this heightened restriction.

They have done this in the past, there are no ticket sales because it's a bubble set up, in terms of making a revenue, I think it's still possible as there are sponsors like an advertisement, however, it's not that big as they will make when there's a crowd allowed. IMO, they have the capacity to continue and just bear the loses because this league is run by rich people, the SMB corporations and Pangilianan's companies are the richest in the country.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 08:16:36 PM
Brooklyn Nets - San Antonio Spurs game is going on now and there is a really competitive game also. Nets are in the lead by a close gap for now but they have very capable players to open this gap more. Durant and Harden both are in this game which is a big plus for Nets. And I expect them to increase the point difference in the last quarter. Nets really need this win to pull themselves together as they lost too many games recently.

The Nets won, but it was a difficult game for them, they have to go into overtime just to beat a struggling team like the Spurs. I thought that the Spurs have the chance to steal this one from the Nets, but they are just unlucky.

The Bulls though, still leading the Eastern conference, with their 9 winning streak but the Nets are close in the second place.

Yeah, I was expecting Nets to increase the point difference and win by that way but I really appreciated Spurs' determination. Maybe they still lost the game but at least they tried their best and carried the game to overtime. If it weren't for even one of Kevin Durant and James Harden, I think that they would have lost this game definitely. The annoying problem of the team still persists and they can solve it before the playoffs hopefully.

Harden and Durant are the star players of the team so they are expected to carry the team. What happened to Irving by the way? I only saw him play once and then he is out again, do we have an idea here when he is going to come back and start playing again? I don't see the point of playing then suddenly not playing for a couple of games already.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 10, 2022, 02:15:58 PM

Thanks, I don't know that it's already available in our favorite crypto bookie here, I'll go check it and I'm willing to take that odds for sure since I believe Thurman is still capable of dominating his opponent and Barrios should not be a tough opponent for him.

Odd is decent considering Thurman's capabilities, though there are also fans for Barrios who will probably to take that odd too.
I like to see how Thurman will try to regain his old glory after that defeat against Pinoy legend Manny Pacquiao, it's a new
start for him, an opportunity to showcase his fighting skills and aim for another title fight.

Not bad if you will take this for Thurman if you really support this guy. 1.57 is fair enough for this favorite... Wink Roll Eyes

I'm taking it, it's a decent odds considering Thurman is a decent fighter as well. I can get 1.64 odds from another sportsbook as my account is entitled to a price boost, so that makes it more attractive. Good luck to us who believe in Thurman, hopefully, he will win this fight.

Same here, there's no way I would think twice before betting on Thurman, that's a decent odds already as I was expecting I would get 1.30 on this fight, but here we are,  the odds are pretty attractive for a fighter that was dominant before he loses to Pacman. Thurman will rise so this fight is really important for him and I trust him that he can deliver a "V".
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 10, 2022, 12:32:42 PM

Both of them has something to proved, Spence wanted to remain on top of this division, while Ugas wanted to show that his win is no fluke against Pacman.

And this is a great style matchup, both can be aggressive and can also play defensive and then be a counter puncher so this is really a great fight in paper although Spence will be the favorite but it will be more closer that we anticipated it to be.

Spence is not as active as Ugas, that's another thing to consider also although Spence is very good on paper we upset happen like what happened with the games between Ugas and Pacman. If the odds of Ugas will be so undervalued, then I might change my mind and will put my bet on Ugas, I'm sure he will not go down easily if he losses in the fight.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 12:10:33 PM
And the Lakers lost again! lol the best recruiter in the looks like he's going to for a new talent coz their bigs are useless
But prior to that, they were coming from a good win streak. Memphis is a great team so losing against this team is not something to be ashamed of, the Lakers did their best, it's just that Memphis is the better team. On the other hand, Klay of the Warriors did not fail my expectation, he is still a great shooter and the dump of his made me nervous a bit, I guess he is back, few more games and he will drop 20+ points again.
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 09, 2022, 09:45:24 PM

Cryptos have been counting the ups and downs in a balanced way lately. A coin that increased by 15% today, 2 days later we see that it has decreased by 25%. To what do you attribute this fluctuation?
When will cryptos enter Taurus month? Does anyone have any enlightening information on this subject?

When can ETH catch up with BTC?

We can all see that the cryptocurrency market is very nervous. Large price jumps make inexperienced users panic, which has caused the recent price drops. However, it seems to me that the big investors will soon concentrate sufficiently at low prices and calm the market down. Then we will return to the bull market for the next few months.
Realizing bull market this time is still too far to happen as we are still in a serious correction that might go straight to having a bearish season. And definitely, its better to be practical this time and just learn to accept of what is happening in the market. If you can't buy at this current dip, then never sell your coins but continue hodling them particularly with bitcoin as they will become more profitable when it reaches its new peak. I can sense that this dump will take longer this time so if we can find ways to buy at this dip, i think that will be a good idea since we will also be reaping them after years of hodling.
2839  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good moves of Bitcoin. on: January 09, 2022, 09:10:58 PM
The good move is very simple buy the dip and hold thats it ,but we need to be sure on our decisions because it is always hard to see when our investment goes down and down until we decide to quit and sell all our asset. So we need to set a time limit or how many years we are going to hold the coin to avoid lossing.
not everyone can keep holding because there are others that only seeking profit to survive though this is not the best strategy for them and they should not invest in bitcoin if that is their strategy instead bet in altcoins.
If they are aiming for bitcoin only then they should be ready in keeping holding for at least a year or so because after halving season the dumping happens and usually this last 2-3 years again.
so by now we are in what we can call a bearish year and the net coming so be ready if you have no option of profiteering then best to get out of bitcoin and try other coins.
But trying other coins will not guarantee profit as many altcoins and tokens have the same experience as bitcoin. Maybe we can do now just wait for a while to see where bitcoin will go so we can know what we need to do. But investing in bitcoin will still be a good decision, especially for now because the price is down a lot, and the chance to see the price rise again will be wide open. Yes, we need to be sure with our decisions and that is why we must analyze before we decide.
But if you stick on buying more bitcoin, do not hesitate to start doing it right now. Although there are still possibilities that bitcoin may fall deeper, but buying bitcoin at any value will still be profitable in the long run as long as you intend it to hold for a year or two. But when it comes to altcoins, you need to analyze first which coins you will probably be buying as most of the altcoins today are really dumping, but not all of them will recover so you need to be cautious also not to fall on wrong coins.
2840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 09, 2022, 07:57:55 PM
^  A lot more?  I don’t think so...  30k isn’t really far away from what the price is at right now which is now around 41.2k.  Again, if 30k breaks, we’re done for.  Let’s just hope there aren’t any more huge holders that’s gonna capitulate and add more down side momentum if BTC approaches 30k.  Lol.

But really I’m expecting a bounce to around 46k, maybe 48k then a drop back down to where it’s currently at then hopefully it plays out like July and trends back up again.
With bitcoin making a series of price dumps, i think going down to the price level of $30k is very much possible if all news that come to the market are negative and that will make the whole market even more dumping. Aside from that, if those long term hodlers will start to panic and sell their coins to cut their losses, most likely that the crypto market will experience a total dump in this bear season.

However, looking at the positive side, this is a perfect time to enter the market and start buying all those promising coins that are in their cheap prices. But before that, study first and make a deep research on what coins you will buy during this dip so you won't be wasting your money on shitcoins.
