2821  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sr Member Account for auction! on: June 16, 2015, 11:31:09 PM
price is a tad high for a senior account with that activity, ive seen some hero accounts go for similar prices. if post quality is very high it could be worth however.
2822  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: June 16, 2015, 11:05:25 PM
Omg it is based off of the saw movie

Indeed!  I'm wondering if that name is going to hinder their growth in the future---I mean if they were to get really big, it seems like they might risk trademark violations.  If they stay small, obviously it won't matter, but then again, they'd be small.

i think this site is going to stay small, there are plenty of more established, already popular dice sites (PD, 999dice, etc), i dont think theres much room to come into the market here especially with that copyright limiting the future of the site.
2823  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forget about Faucets - share your own Videos and stuff for BTC / BitTorrent... on: June 16, 2015, 10:47:23 PM
This is certainly intersting! I will definitely consider this BitTorrent client.

..seriously?

probably just mindless spam for the pm campaign.

question I have for OP though, how will the use of VPN's affect the payment/pay for using bandwidth? in the US most ISP's track or block p2p traffic and im not familiar enough with networking to know how this would be affected.
2824  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading? on: June 16, 2015, 10:33:57 PM
Why do you not think its a Ponzi?

I need some confidence.

Problem is I have not ROI'd yet.
I am still over 45+ days away from full ROI.

just check the facts on the thread I linked in the previous post, cloudminingwebsite has all of the warning signs of a ponzi scam, its highly unlikely that it is a legitimate operation. read the 1-7 points the OP describes and make your judgement call, the person managing that thread has a good success rate in determining ponzis (95%)
2825  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: June 16, 2015, 10:25:13 PM
I was considerin g using BTCJam to consolidate my credit card balance, but now after reading this thread, it would hurt my reputation on this forum since I would be assocaiting myself with scammers.

consolidating a loan with another loan is never a good idea, its a short term fix but itll bite you harder in the end. and the userbase isnt all scammers, just a few who choose not to repay the loan, but I do believe there is a legal arbitration process if the borrower defaults.
2826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 16, 2015, 09:51:07 PM
I believe that the addiction to gambling is in our brain (Amigdala & Hypocampus)
If you addicted, just try to play in very small amounts.

first off: theyre spelled "amyglada" and "hippocampus," and if im remembering high school lessons correctly, the amyglada controls your ability to feel emotions, and the hippocampus controls long term/short term memory. gambling addiction is caused by a chemical imbalanced caused by the increased exposure to dopamine which is released from gambling. eventually this imbalance will cause the individual to feel less and less pleasure from the ]basic needs, sex, food, social interactions, sleep, etc, and the reliance on gambling will increase.

correct me if im wrong I learned this several years ago.
2827  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hikah Scammed Me $108 // Skype: hikahjsf // BOUNTY: $200 on: June 16, 2015, 09:44:40 PM
I dont doubt you given the negative feedback on his profile, but imo there isnt enough proof here, you should post screens proving those keys were redeemed as well as your conversation with hikah where they tried to "play it off."
2828  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading? on: June 16, 2015, 09:41:06 PM
Interesting idea, but not one I love.

Would love to keep it crypto until I withdraw to $.
I would also like to keep making more BTC per month.

You might consider to try out other Cloud Miners that is around for some time and proven to give ROI. I invested in www.CloudMining.website few months ago and now enjoying profit.

Read details here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=852857.0

Third party mining monitor CMmonitor.com also reported to have ROI with CMW within ~114 days, though it took ~125 days for me.

They also provide payment proof of 7+ months: www.cloudmining.website/payments.php

cloudmining website is likely a ponzi scam, I would not invest in there or get out if you already have (if thats possible)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

has all the warning signs of a ponzi.
2829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 16, 2015, 09:38:55 PM
it can be for a living for some people; poker is the best example of this i think; ive gone to RL casinos several times before and some of those big poker players quite literally live at the casino making a living off poker. this is only a few people though, the true gambling addicts.

Yeah and I guess poker may be a little different than most other "gambling" because it is a game with elements of skill (though it does have luck) and also reading other players. You could argue there is skill in other games as well, but I think poker is in its own category.

I would definitely agree; poker is player vs player, and the house just takes a rake; most other games are player vs house (Blackjack, slots, etc). luck in getting the right cards is definitely a big factor, but so is knowing what to do in each situation. it takes a lot of experience to get to that level though.
2830  Other / Off-topic / Re: Easy Check Address Bitcoin | Chrome Extension | FREE | on: June 16, 2015, 09:32:04 PM
Well, he said in the OP that he edited the script to add a few things, so he was at least honest about it.

true, but he could at least have been through in editing it, this is just shoddy, cursory "work" that probably took all of 15 minutes.

will there be a firefox extension available anywhere in the future? and how will this work? do you just over above an address and see the balance?

no need to bother with this, its been shoddily edited from an already outdated extension.

I found this which might be close though: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/bitcoin-ticker-plus/
2831  Other / Off-topic / Re: Easy Check Address Bitcoin | Chrome Extension | FREE | on: June 16, 2015, 09:22:48 PM
I just checked the source code and it seems clean (I did not check the packaged qTip and jQuery libraries). I did found something funny:
Code:
    this.update_btc = function() {
        url = 'https://data.mtgox.com/api/2/BTCUSD/money/ticker';
        $jq.getJSON(url, function(data) {
            api.btc_in_usd = data.data.last.value;
        });
    };
MtGox API? Seriously? Must have been an old script you edited. Anyway, I don't recommend installing this as loading .crx through chromeL://extensions will be disabled for good soon, I can't find the original script on the Chrome Webstore and there are more than enough good ones available there.

well there you go, thanks mitchell for finding that.

trying to get tips on an ancient script you plagarized.... at least it didnt have malicious code.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 16, 2015, 09:14:42 PM
You should never get to a point where gambling can 'wreck your life'. Seriously my friend gambling is supposed to be fun, we all have the highs & lows of winning and losing but please never gamble with sums of money that can 'wreck your life'.
It's supposed to be fun, the main & only rule of gambling is to only bet with amounts you can afford to lose, please remember that. It is not worth getting into financial difficulties. Good luck.

Agreed. Only bet what you are willing to lose. Gambling is something to do for entertainment. You can make or lose money, but you should not "expect" to make money. It's just a lucky accident if you do.

it can be for a living for some people; poker is the best example of this i think; ive gone to RL casinos several times before and some of those big poker players quite literally live at the casino making a living off poker. this is only a few people though, the true gambling addicts.
2833  Other / Off-topic / Re: Easy Check Address Bitcoin | Chrome Extension | FREE | on: June 16, 2015, 09:04:26 PM
I wouldnt trust the extension if its just a download on drive, instead of the chrome webstore. post the source publicly so people can inspect it.

source : download.crx file and change .crx to .zip you can see all the files

too much trouble for something i most likely wont use, and I dont know too much about chrome extension programming; someone else more qualified should inspect the source.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 16, 2015, 08:52:48 PM
I prefer strategic gambling with amount that I can afford to lose. No gmabler become suddently rich by gmabling, let alone being billionaire. But, by running a gambling site, you can definitely be a billionaire. Smiley

are you sure? i remember some guy posted here about making a fortune off bitcoin roulette, dont care enough to find the link though. There is also the Hufflepuff case, but he was found to be cheating with an unhashed server seed. some guy also win a nice sum of ~12 BTC from sawdice a few days ago as well.
2835  Economy / Services / Re: Develop an Make Money Android application on: June 16, 2015, 08:50:06 PM
I think something like this already exists, CoinPlay iirc, it pays users to download and install apps; it works like those survey/download offers.
2836  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australian members on: June 16, 2015, 08:42:51 PM
not from australia but i found some things that might help, worth a quick read.
https://www.ato.gov.au/General/Gen/Tax-treatment-of-crypto-currencies-in-Australia---specifically-bitcoin/
https://www.dlapiper.com/en/australia/insights/publications/2014/08/international-tax-news-aug-2014/tax-update-bitcoins-and-gst/
that first link seems to cover a lot of information, including income from a bitcoin business and mining.
2837  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading? on: June 16, 2015, 08:36:35 PM
This is why I wish to remove my BTC from Scrypt.

But at the moment they are still paying and paying well...

Is there any good automated type of bots that could be profitable?

no clue, im not too into the forex and trading stuff, but my guess is that if there was such a bot that guaranteed profits, everyone would be using it.
2838  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading? on: June 16, 2015, 08:29:43 PM
Hey guys.

So lets say I have 40btc.
My aim is this... I want a 2nd income to pay off debts.

Where would be the best place to get some good returns?

I'm currently in Scrypt.cc and making 17.5btc per month.
This is a GREAT 2nd salary and goes towards my paying off debt.
BUT I am a bit worried and skeptical of them and want to move my 40btc elsewhere somewhere more safe.

I currently have 5x AntMiner S5's over at Hashnest but daily output is sooooo small.
I could put the 40btc in and buy another 25x S5's but that only nets me around 6btc per month without difficulty increases.

I have dabbled with trading (didn't go so well for me), I also have some bots like CAT (Cryptsy api), and Haasbot.
But I cant seem to get my trading right or for it to be profitable enough.

So that is why I'm coming to you guys.

Where would be a great place to put 40btc to earn me some good cash per week/month.

scrypt.cc went ponzi some time ago i believe, i know bit-x runs a legitimate cloud mining with hashing power provided by bitfury. quite honestly though, trading would earn profits faster than cloud mining if you know what youre doing.
