2821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 08, 2022, 01:52:39 PM
For me, I'm quite excited and interested to try playing slots or poker using VR headset because I wanted to explore and find out it on myself the difference between playing it in traditional way but maybe not now because I believe and I will going to agree with you mate that it will be expensive either buying your own VR gadget or trying it in a casino businesses. Of course, these casino businesses will going to invest in new technology it will be too much for them to allow it used by their customer for free I bet there will be additional charge for it.
Same here as I never tried it before. I mean I never tried purchasing a VR equipment and use it for gaming or other stuffs but before I use it for gambling I will try to play a video game first that supports VR technology. Even though we haven't tried it yet, we can still distinguish the difference right now.

It's that VR is digital and it brings you closer to what you are seeing on the VR screen but the traditional way are straightforward, what you see is what you get. VR adds more fun so it's okay if they will charge an additional fee. You can still recover what you have paid if ever you win in the gambling that you are playing with.
They are actually expensive that only rich people can afford to buy or if we are really wanted to use that. Those who use this VR equipment will have a very cool experience closer to real life. This somehow gives interesting factors that encourage those people who have the money. But for us gamblers, I don't really think this could be an option, of course, fees will simply apply as the casino will also invest this expensive stuff. And yet, we can't find winning assurance in gambling.

2822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true? on: April 08, 2022, 01:29:28 PM
Altcoins that are released in the bear market have a high chance of bringing good returns than those that have already surged high in a bull market, this is what a friend told me this morning, do you think this is true? He used Vulcan forged as an example
It can be true for some projects, but not all created during the bear season become like PYR (Vulcan Forged) and profiting.
https://priceprediction.net/en/price-prediction/vulcan-forged-pyr

Projects that have the potential will grow no matter what is the condition of the market.
We have seen a growing trend of PYR, perhaps many speculations pointing out that this will grow in the coming years. But somehow, we can't be sure about that and it was found to be exemptional if this project carries the potential that investors had looked for.
2823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2022, 11:52:27 AM
Anyhow, no regrets, and I do agree that Klay looks great in this game. He could very well have game the confidence and his rhythm is back. THT 40 points? but I don't think that he will still be a Laker next season though, I have a feeling that he will be traded as well.

I doubt he will be traded, unless the recipient of Westbrook or Davis will ask for him. But, considering the value of Westbrook and Davis, a trade should be one vs one or one Laker star in exchange of a bunch of players, like Westbrook being traded with a bunch of laker players.

THT finally received enough game time to show case his skills. Lakers should trade again Melo, Westbrook and Dwight then invest on young talent that can be useful to boost there bench score and at the same time to support Lebron and Davis. I’m actually already doubtful to Davis because he is always injured most of the time after there first Championship. Lakers should change the management and stop Lebron on dictating the decision for the Lakers. He is not at prime anymore so he needs a lot of reinforcement right now compared before.

I agree with that, having a bunch of old players in a team will not help the Lakers achieve a championship. if only they move and play like Lebron, then for sure they will win another championship, but look, for one season, they are just a big messed, probably the biggest failure in the history of NBA.

Don't worry about that, we will see a new Lakers team next season because it was rumored that coach Vogel will also be fired, maybe it has already happened inside and is just waiting for a formality.

Enough with the LA Lakers. I think we should talk about the upcoming playoffs.
Does anyone here bet on the NBA futures already? like NBA champion, ECF or WCF champion?
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 08, 2022, 11:29:23 AM
Being great in boxing can bring you a lot of fans so technically he’s a superstar and talented, because of his winning matches it attract more followers for him. Its sad to see someone suffering from a mental illness but its really good that we can see Garcia again to have a fight. I still expect the same thing from him, he’s great, fast and have a good punches, I’m confident that he will remain undefeated here.

What’s the current odds for this match?

There is something that has me very intrigued, how could they determine that he is already completely healthy? In this fight they must accept some kind of proof that he is in full normal health, right? I don't know to what extent they have a certain tolerance to put up with everything that has to do with this type of problem.
Currently, it should be taken into account that this business is driven by a lot of money, that this can make a difference, only that there are some little events that seem to be far above the real sport.

There's no need for him to prove that he is already healthy, the fact that he accepted this fight, means he believes in himself that he can beat Tagoe. We know that his popularity is at stake here, if he loses his fight, he won't have a bright future ahead in boxing.

In my opinion, we still don't know if he has recovered 100% mentally. Although he has accepted this fight, but the boxer they get? relatively unknown to us, maybe is just a get busy fight and a cherry pick for Ryan to look great again in his comeback. But who knows what is the state of his mind in this fight. Besides there is also this ring rust, but elite boxers can just totally shake the effect early and then fight like he has been his situation again. Anyhow, hopefully Ryan is good to go mentally.

Obviously, it's a cherry-pick.. why would Ryan Garcia choose an unknown fighter when he is even challenging champions? He even challenged Manny Pacquiao when the latter was still active. Ryan Garcia will consider this fight as a preparation for a serious fight, so it's understandable that the odds are not attractive betting on him.

2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Billionaire Says Bitcoin May Significantly Exceed Its Previous 2022 Goals on: April 08, 2022, 09:21:40 AM
We're supposed to keep buying, that was a concrete idea upon investing knowing that Bitcoin is significantly growing almost every year. So what I think is that this person has positive insights based on the market history and he even believes the possible surge coming which able to surpass the previous price.

That is why rich people become richer for they are still investing their money. They remain positive about Bitcoin and crypto because they'll see the opportunity inside. And those who have the capabilities to invest will risk somehow.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH future on: April 08, 2022, 08:49:05 AM
snip...
Ethereum is an improvement over all of them, many smart contracts are using them, even if examined closely, projects that have a greater success value are using their smart contract network, and the prospect of Ethereum using PoS will have a huge impact going forward, as they are figuring out how to use Ethereum must master any exchange, be it transactions, swapping or buying/selling in their smart contracts
Projects that have a real market value sustain no matter what will be changed in their system. Like, Ethereum has gained huge support before this change and sees no huge impact on its trend because investors and traders had seen no big difference from it. That is why we don't need to worry about this, instead of looking for more benefits we get and giving convenience to the users. This kind of system innovation, well, I guess this even help for a sustainable market demand somewhat in the future.

2828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I planned to keep my keys, good or stupid? on: April 07, 2022, 11:34:00 PM
Is this too much or not bad? I plan to keep my recovery keys in four separate locations, a brand new flash memory from Huawei, a brand new WD External hard drive, my book with a strong cover and my wardrobe, in my wardrobe you can't easily see it because its always dark in there, I use my torchlight to carve those words in there and its even written on the top inside the wardrobe, I tend to keep it this way for now till I can get a Nano X.
Well, the purpose of having a backup copy of all your keys, passwords and etc... is just something to help you recover in case you've lost access to it. Your idea is great and I think it was just you who could think about hiding them in the wardrobe. But I think it wasn't necessary, at least having two copies could be enough, written on paper and hard drive.

Thus, if you are using a hard drive or USB memory card just be sure you never use it for other purposes. It should be just a key keeper, nothing else otherwise this might be a reason why you lose control of your account.
2829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason people join bitcointalk forum on: April 07, 2022, 10:48:55 PM
I come because of these things...
 1. Curiosity
 2. Learning some ideas
 3. Earning money

However, the most interesting part about crypto is how to earn money from here which obviously the most reason why people are coming. of course, it wasn't just designed for such a thing but aside from making some money here, it also imparts useful ideas which it was very beneficial to all of us.
2830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: April 07, 2022, 10:22:47 PM
I wasn't a day trader nor full-time, I was just seasonal. I was doing trading if the market is in good condition and of course, not in the bear season. It was good to have a good entry upon trading like to see that after buying we can sell them. That is why we could notice that during the bullish season a lot of traders had come as this was the perfect time for this. Well, of course, the chance to gain is high compared to doing this during the bear season or corrections.

A reason why we should have to analyze the market first, study the market trend, and have an idea of what next is possibly going to happen.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIBA INU - The Next gem in Altcoin industry on: April 07, 2022, 09:41:08 PM
I don't discredit the chance that Shiba Inu will become big, in fact, we can see its huge improvement and market demand development bringing them to the top 20 coins in the CMC. However, I couldn't just say that it was the next gem, not a thing I see based on its performance. I simply agree this project is worth to invest but not as good as ETH, BNB, or even BTC.

Is Shiba Inu the next gem? It will take time.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 07, 2022, 12:06:32 PM
Crawford really want a blockbuster fight as he is not making big money in his past fights, so maybe now that he is not connected with Bob, he could make his own decision whom he would like to fight.

That's probably the reason why he left Top Rank to have more freedom in choosing his opponent, but even before he was still with the Top Rank. He was already calling out Spence but it seems like Spence is not interested in fighting him, so if Spence would say no, better for Crawford to just move up in weight.
2833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 07, 2022, 11:25:26 AM
Too much of the controversies guys. Others just fall into the trap and don't anticipate that Meralco win takes Game 1. Too much confidence that they can't stand against Ginebra even for 1 game. Bookies have no way to be part of that rigged or manipulation.

If Game 1 is manipulated, I admire their acting skills. That was hard to act in front of a live audience. Cheesy

Let's just move on especially BGSM fans and be wise in analyzing your next bet.

If you are a fan of Ginebra, you will bet on them every game, and since they lose in game 1, it's wise if we will bet on them in game 2. That was a tough game for them, but I have a feeling that they will bounce back and take game 2, so never doubt the Gin Kings, they are good at coming back.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Gambling Course provided by OnlineGambling on: April 07, 2022, 08:41:03 AM
This is great Start to make new players familiar with the gambling and how to enter this field with taking notes of all the factors. You can have idea of how to place bets but winning more is not guaranteed because you also needs to be lucky in these luck based games to have win on your end.But overall this course will help players in boosting up the gameplay and build up strategies with some practical experience beforehand.
Perhaps, the intention is not to increase their chances of winning, the purpose of such a course is to provide them an idea and information on how this is played especially for beginners. This kind of idea gives a reason why players will never blame the site and think about manipulation. I see this becoming useful to the gambling community as in this way, gamblers will fully understand what they do and simply just know gambling isn't just about luck, it also needs strategies and understanding of the game you've played.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is the "Draw No Bet" not found on most sportsbook on: April 07, 2022, 08:15:52 AM
But how do they decide if the match ends in a tie? Do they refund all the bet money?
Yep, that's why the name is draw no bet you wouldn't loss anything if the match ended in a tie. It's a good feature for low risk bettors, though I'm not really interested to bet in draw no bet. The odds is significantly reduced, so betting on low odds wouldn't profitable except you're a high roller. Only popular match who have draw no bet, because if the fight was on 1 side only, the odds will be 1.01... moreover you can't even bet since it's closed.

Draw no bet isn't the most choice of a gambler, even you are a low-risk taker, I don't think this would be in our mind, I certainly choose the team that I see will win. What I can see as a reason for this why it was removed from some sportsbooks is it wasn't needed anymore. Sportbooks denied this option for it couldn't help them, it never gives them profit.
Quote
Draw No Bet (DNB) reduces the number of outcomes in a 3-way market and increases your chances of winning. It achieves this by eliminating the draw outcome and canceling all bets that end in a tie.

2836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: April 06, 2022, 09:30:29 PM
When to cash out? When the market prices turn back to bullish again, probably the next halving. Or until the time has come I was already in profit. Well, my target is to double my capital, at least.
It can be 3-5 years or even more but it also can be done depending on the situation like emergencies and other needs.  But I guess, the holding doesn't have such a so-called time frame until when, as it considers the price.

2837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you help out a newbie trader please? on: April 06, 2022, 01:56:23 PM
No one becomes an expert without going through the newbie process, as we know that the thing that distinguishes a newbie can be successful and become an expert is the courage to try and learn from mistakes, never give up and stop when we feel like a failure, continue to focus on the goal and make things happen. what we do as an experience, I'm sure the newbie will be successful soon.
Indeed. Not all had come to that very short experience and they become successful, it all comes to a process.
There are some reasons that make some traders fail,
  1. Courage
  2. Disappointments
  3. Mindset

Quitting sometimes will be the best option but that is not the thing we have to think about first, we have to find a way that could help it out.
Success should be at the top of our minds.

2838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: April 05, 2022, 10:10:44 PM
The concept of trying to use one stone to kill all the birds in the forest is what normally causes this late "Had I known" regret. Because at times when the price of a coin get pump so high they tends to get carried away and forget actually how this things work, because whatever goes up most surely comes down. And that's why it's good to always have an investment goal.

Plan + execution = success

Many people have their plan or goal, however, there is no execution has been done which makes this useless. Greediness is very common to most of us, we believe this is the reason for our losses and regrets. Mostly we got out of our plan because of the influence of our mindset and mostly we missed selling our coins during ATH as we usually think about more profit. I don't believe it was wrong but in this kind of market, the volatile nature and fluctuating prices went it wrong.
2839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading indicators/traders would you recommend? on: April 05, 2022, 09:22:32 PM
Hello Bitcointalkers,

The subject of the thread is pretty self-explanatory, I am wondering which tools would you recommend for spot trading in particular.
Fro the numbers for trading indicators we have, but it was RSI and MACD are what I usually used as they seem to help me a lot when it comes to making analyses.
https://www.yoreoyster.com/blog/best-indicators-for-crypto-trading/

And as I read the above replies, they are also using this one. But of course, it is your choice if you use many indicators what is important is that you are comfortable with them and the results are also satisfying. But if were just new in trading, I suggest to focus on those tools I've mentioned above.
2840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 05, 2022, 02:01:05 PM
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins
Well, diversifying our portfolio seems the best choice if we aim for more profit.

ETH, ADA, DOT, and of course, BTC are the top projects that have utility and also have good performance. But if you believe in the future BNB, I guess you have to keep them instead of selling them. In fact, this coin is one of the top coins in the market and really has the potential which likely is one of the best coins to hold longer.
