2821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 11, 2021, 12:15:44 PM
If the match will continue I think Mike Tyson will win and there is no way that Mike Tyson will accept draw to some amateur fighter (compared to him). He accepts draw when he fight Roy Jones Jr. because he knows they two are legendary but draw between Logan Paul and Mike Tyson I think he will receive a good K.O.
There's no way a boxer will decide the outcome of the game, their job is to fight and try to win, but if the judges see that both are doing well and give their best efforts, they could decide it a draw and no boxer could protest unless there's a corruption happened in the fight. Don't get me wrong, Mike Tyson is good but I think we should not expect like he is still the same as the old Mike because the new Mike is already old and his opponent is really younger than him.
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 10, 2021, 09:51:58 PM
Looks like the venue and date for this fight have been finalized already, per below it would be held in Dubai, and also it will be a double championship fight.
There are many Filipinos in Dubai and Casimero is comfortable fighting in Dubai as I think he has the crowd support and no problem adapting to the climate once he will be there, unlike if this fight will be held in the UK where it's almost winter there.

2823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 10, 2021, 09:16:43 PM
Hehe Morris acting like he was run over by a truck after giving a hard foul. He could have sent someone flying if it was someone smaller and not a bigger guy in Jokic. Call it cheap shot but I think what Jokic did was fine to send a message that he's not to be taken lightly. It would have been better if it was a push but Morris would have acted the same way.

That is something we normally see in the 90's era, but the difference is, they keep the intensity of the rivalry inside the court. Unlike what happened to this brothers who took the everything even in the social media. They kinda acting like kids quarreling in the social media lol.

However, I don't know why Jimmy Butler was so mad about it that he was willing to put his career on the line just to have a brawl with the whole Nuggets team lol.

What can you say about the Hawks slump though? they have been in the Eastern Conference finals last year and now they in a 5 game losing streak.
Probably with most of the teams have upgraded their roster, the Hawks have difficulty now to beat any team. Plus, Trae Young is not that effective as compare to last year, maybe because of the new rule. But I've notice is that he is not that aggressive compare to last year though. Collins, Bogdan and Gallinari should step up and help Trae in offense. They can match any team up to the 3rd quarter. But entering the last quarter, they seems to falter out.
I noticed that too; they are in the game in the first 3 quarters but in the final they fell short,

Hawks are not getting the rhythm. I see that they are trying, but the new rules are making it more difficult for them to adjust.
Trae is not benefiting knowing the style of his game, he's more relying on how the ref will buy his move and make a call.

Though they try to come back but jazz played solid, Mitchel, Clarkson and Bojan towered the offense, ensuring that they will win in front of their home crowd, another amazing performance and showcasing of a good system for the entire team.

I was thinking of better Hawks this season but it looks like my expectations are wrong. Young's production is decreasing, I mean he is not anymore in the top 10 (https://www.nba.com/stats/leaders/?SeasonType=Regular%20Season). As you can see, his previous season was really good and the Hawks are competing very well against the top teams but this season, they have a lot of losses that are in a huge margin.

2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 09, 2021, 09:57:01 PM
There was a report that there was a no knockout clause on Jake Paul's fight this was the allegation of Claressa  Shields but it was denied by Woodley's manager.
I'm glad that there was none like that because Tommy Fury will have his hands locked if he is not allowed to knock out Paul, Jake Paul is in big trouble he is facing a real boxer, who knows how to knock out, he is going too far face people who think he can beat, there has to be an end to this Jake Paul show and Tommy could be the opponent that can end his show.
Tommy Fury is the half brother of the Heavyweight king Tyson Fury, but he is not that experienced either and he is not a dangerous knockout fighter either after checking his profile. I have not seen his fights but Jake Paul is a good enough boxer and you cannot expect a stoppage in this fight. Lets see how this fight goes and i hope it will be a good one, if not for the hype i doubt i will be watching the fight.
But compared to the fight experience of Jake Paul, I guess it's obvious that Tommy Fury has a better record, and so I would say now that this fight could be a fight where Jake Paul will not be able to maintain his undefeated record in exhibition matches as Fury is going to destroy him. What we are talking about here is just mere speculation but we have a basis, and that is their past fights which I can see that Fury has more serious fights than Jake Paul.
2825  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do spectators now know better? on: November 09, 2021, 01:41:39 PM
Sometimes I feel I know better than the coach by just watching my favorite game.

I guess it's human nature for a fan to think that we know the game very well because he put out interest in it.
As a gambler, I could put myself in the shoes of a player, a team, a coach, and even on the management, that's how deep my love for the sport I've been playing and that just makes me more satisfied with what I'm doing though honestly, I lose a significant amount sometimes.
2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: November 09, 2021, 01:14:23 PM
October was the beginning of a bull run market, bitcoin made new ATH at $67200 and now there is new ATH at $68k, and I'm sure the upward trend will continue, the market is moving high as it is now making us optimistic that in december the price can reach more than $95k, and in November it will hit ATH of around $80k.
No, I disagree, the bull market started last year when bitcoin break the $20k which was the ATH before and it continues to rise now, there are times we saw a correction but that was short and overall, what we witness is a bullish market, so definitely this is a bullish year for us and we are ending this year with maybe $100k price per 1 btc.
2827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 06, 2021, 09:31:20 PM
HUGE win for the Knicks last night.  Anyone catch the game?  They looked dead down 21 in the beginning of the second and the Knicks second unit came in and shredded the Bucks.  D Rose looked as good as I've seen him play in the last coue years.  Dude looks like he is on a mission to prove everyone wrong.  Big fan of DR
Yes, that was a good win for them, they bounce back easily in the 2nd quarter with a good run and they don't anymore trail. The undermanned Bucks could not stay consistent all night as New York used their entire force to defeat the depending champion, and it's good to witness the Knicks knows how to come back from huge deficit and hopefully they'll be able to carry that in the playoffs.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 06, 2021, 08:55:13 PM

Going back to the topic Grin we are all waiting for the next conference and we are excited to see if how good those imports from different teams, how they will help in chasing for the title. Roll Eyes
Is there a way to see the potential imports for each team?

Here's the list below, maybe you can see some familiar names.

Just a few minutes ago, One Sports facebook Page posted the list of the imports of some teams and here it is:
Quote
Brgy. Ginebra - Justin Brownlee
TNT - Mckenzie Moore
Magnolia - Mike Harris
Phoenix - Paul Harris
Rain or Shine - Henry Walker
San Miguel - Brendan Brown
NLEX - KJ McDaniels
Alaska - Olu Ashaolu

AFAIR, I only see 3 names on the list which have already played in the PBA, and of course the most popular is Justin Brownlee who continuously brought success in the PBA every time he plays.
2829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 06, 2021, 08:12:19 PM
Here is the latest interview from Teofimo Lopez, fight will be on the 27th already:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bLE3_HZCj0

He said that he is going to massacre George Kambosos and will knock him out in round 1.

Really confident that he will going to finished Kambosos by a brutal knock out. Then he is talking about to move to 140 lbs so maybe we can't see him and Loma.

He has to do what he said, talking too much does not help at all, I know he is good but Kambasos is not an ordinary fighter that he could just toy in the ring. I guess it's telling me that Kambasos really have a good chance here, he is playing mind games hopefully Kambasos will not fall for that, and instead, he will work hard to dethrone Lopez who is underestimating his capability.

Odds is 6.40 for Kambasos, let's grab it.
2830  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deron Williams to fight in an undercard on Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight. on: November 06, 2021, 01:31:17 PM
They didn't mention a name but the name of Frank Gore to be his possible opponent has appeared in this article.
https://www.slcdunk.com/latest-utah-jazz-news-recent/2021/11/5/22765999/deron-williams-to-fight-on-jake-paul-tommy-fury-undercard

I'm excited, exhibition fights getting to a higher level and as an NBA fan, I would never forget Deron Williams as one of the best players in the NBA during his era, his time with the Utah Jazz was so meaningful.

This undercard fight will be another major attraction of the fight, they really know how to do the right marketing.
2831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 06, 2021, 12:59:27 PM

Who has the information about their split before their supposed fight was cancelled? As we all know, they have a scheduled fight last year, April 26, 2020, but due to the effect of the pandemic, that was permanently cancelled.

I did some research regarding your question but I didn't find the exact answer, but instead this article.

John Riel Casimero might need to take reduced purse to fight Naoya Inoue, says Bob Arum

Can you believe that? Arum still wants to reduce the purse of Casimero just to make the fight happen, I think they like to rob Casimero and disrespect his status being a champion. I'm sure the purse was not 50/50 on the cancelled fight and after it was cancelled, Bob talks about reducing Casimero's purse, so I'm guessing maybe it will be 70/30 which I don't think is fair.

It's really disrespectful on the part of Casimero knowing that he's not a simple fighter only he has so many achievements on his career and he get less for that fight, its not really fair but for the essence of  honor maybe Casimero take it since he need to do that before he can reach the fight what he want next to this fight. Hopefully on the fight of Inoue he can get decent percentage since he's a champion and he deserve to take big cuts.

Bob Arum knows how to run his business, he always gets the best share against his opponent that's why he is so successful. He knows the value of Inoue, so he can get any fighter in front of Inoue while still making easy money, compared to Casimero where there's a chance that Inoue might lose and that cash cow of him will not anymore get bigger fights as Casimero took over the popularity.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: November 06, 2021, 11:51:29 AM
The fight is already tomorrow night right?

I haven't bet yet but it seems the majority is going for Canelo to win before 10 rounds, and it's 1.86 currently. So I guess this is still very attractive.

Plant ML - 7.00
Canelo ML - 1.09.

Not sure if there will be someone who are going to bet on Caleb here for an upset win.

That's really attractive if only he is not fighting Canelo, I guess there are still bettors who put money on Caleb but they are just probably gambling for fun because you know, anything can happen in boxing and upset do happen sometimes. With 7.00 odds, that would give a huge return of our bet, maybe just a spare amount is enough for that low chance odds of winning.

However, if you like big odds, maybe try to bet on Canelo and predict what round the fight will be over.
2833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 06, 2021, 10:47:36 AM
Therefore my pick is Hawks -1 at home.
It didn't go well, Utah Jazz smashed the home team hard. Lose this bet of mine.

Next bet now.

Game: Bucks vs Knicks.

I have the road team here betting the undermanned Bucks.

No Holiday, Middleton, and Lopez.. these are the starters they are missing, so I think Knicks has a huge chance here.

Therefore my pick is Knicks +4.5 and ML.

I tail you on this one, although it will be on the home court of the Bucks and they are coming from a win against Detroit, they are facing a good team here in NYK.

So yes, NYK will be at a advantage without the Bucks key players and I wouldn't be surprised if they can cover that spread to +5.5. But a ML will be a good bet already.

Line is -4 now, probably bettors are putting their money on the NYK as Bucks are clearly a different team when they are missing some of their starters. Middleton and Giannis has to be playing together for the team so they will be consistent, without one of them, it's hard to expect that they'll win against a good team.

Knicks won already, congrats to those who have them in the ML.

I haven't really bet on the game for tonight, I just have to come back from a laboratory test, (non-Covid related). But there are games that is still ongoing.

I might be interested on the Pelicans vs Warriors, will take a look of Warriors, probably handicap or some player prop bets to get me more excited to watch the game.

It was a bit scary from the start, I was thinking that the Bucks would dominate with an easy win, but Knicks proved they are better because they are complete and they came back in the 2nd quarter and did not give the Bucks a chance to close until the end of the game.

What a dominating performance by the Knicks, Rose did contribute well on this win too with 23 points but Randle's consistency is there to lead the team. Congrats to the winners on the point spread and the ML bets.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 05, 2021, 09:59:43 PM
Didn't expect this news, I guess it's we will know next conference if Vic Manuel has that power inside to lead a team. Northport always fails to qualify in the playoffs but they are trying to improve their lineup, with this news, I'd say they are on the right track.

Anthony is probably what the Phoenix needs as they don't have someone to help Wright carry the team. Wright's production has also decreased the last conference so the team is affected a lot, with Anthony, this team would certainly be a playoff contender again.

When a player does not give the expectation especially coming from a trade, you know the management will try to find a solution by bringing a new guy in exchange for a new player. Looks like Phoenix does not like a player coming from Alaska as they traded Calvin for Manuel and now they finally land to a player that is not from Alaska, hopefully, this time they'll find what they are looking for as the Fuelmasters roster are full of talented young players.

What's with Alaska players that Phoenix management doesn't like, is it the discipline that was instilled on them while they were playing with Alaska ?  Grin

I'm also surprised with this move by NorthPort as I think that Sean Anthony is one of the pillars of their team but I guess they needed a player who can compliment the style of play of Robert Bolick. On the Phoenix side, I think Sean Anthony's role will be more of a mentor to a lot of the Phoenix's young players because he is not getting young anymore and he's also injury prone so i guess this is one of the few win-win trade of the PBA.

Alaska is a good defensive team, Manuel and Calvin played together with the team and they were doing great, unfortunately, when the new coach came in, things weren't the same as their ranking has sink, that's what I noticed to the team and I don't know if they can still be in the finals with the current roster and coach.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 05, 2021, 09:27:01 PM
^^ True, there's no way that Arum will allow a 50/50 split purse between the two. Inoue is still the A-side in this fight, but it will be very interesting what will be the split though, I think a 60/40 in favour of Inoue will be good enough for Casimero. But we all know Casimero, he just wanted to secure a fight with Inoue and maybe not be interested on the money. Of course, it should be good enough for him and his team and for sure Richard Schaefer can negotiate a good deal for Casimero.
I doubt that he is more than interested in the money as he hasn't been getting big money from his previous fights, this fight will probably be his biggest and you know his paycheck would also increase, so he wants to win and at the same time make a lot of money. Imagine if he wins this fight and he'll be a unified champion, that would mean that he will dictate the terms in his next fight as he is sitting at the top.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 05, 2021, 08:56:12 PM
~
So what do you think guys, do these odds would attract bettors?
It is not a surprise that Mike Tyson is a heavy favorite and there is no point in betting for the favorite but i would like to see any bookies giving a draw line and what would be the odds for that. I might place a bet on a draw for fun as most of the exhibition fights ends up in a draw. You never know what would happen, logically Mike Tyson should smoke Logan Paul but Tyson is 55 years and what happens if he pulls a muscle during the bout looking for the knockout  Cheesy.

I guess I have to agree with the bookie this time, though Tyson is "old" he is still fit and we know with this experience he could win a fight. But of course, we have to see it in our very own eyes if he can still win fights especially against a young and active boxer. The idea of putting a bet on a draw is good as it could possibly happen especially when they follow a script not to hurt each other.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 05, 2021, 03:09:41 PM
This is interesting, though odds for this fight are not yet out but there's an article reporting that Mike Tyson is the favorite in this fight.

2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: November 05, 2021, 02:47:55 PM
For now after achieving ATH from Doge, it looks hard to get up and give a quick profit. As for Shiba you can still have a few percent profit that can be utilized from the ongoing Hype. But you also have to be careful if you play fire with meme coins. Because all levels of dump and pump are relatively very fast. Use the profit calculation according to your expectations and avoid market greed.

I'm with you mate, dogecoin now makes more sense than Shiba Inu and can give you returns but not big as you think than other coins ofcourse. This particular memecoin called dogecoin isn't gonna make its status now if not because of Elon Musk, that's why it's hyped and reached all-time high due to Elon's successive commitment and tweets regarding dogecoin.

Now, I would be lying if I told you that I don't have it in my portfolio. But, I only hold it for certain reasons and I'll sell it eventually when the value reaches my goal.

Good luck to that, I hope you bought it cheap because I don't know if Doge would still pump after it has pumped consecutive times in the past. Judging by the price movement of DOGE, look like the hype is over and one day it will just dump and go back to its cheap price, that's the worst scenario so maybe try to see that possibility so you'll make the right strategy in case an abrupt dump would happen.
2839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just a piece of advice needed here folks on: November 05, 2021, 06:58:00 AM
You probably don't hear the saying that "buy the rumors, sell the news", this strategy is very effective especially during the bull run. Of course, when here's a bad rumor, people tend to panic and that will make the price to go down, and because the market is bullish, they didn't realize that it will bounce back in just a short period of time.

For long term investment, I suggest you do accumulate during the bear market, lots of cheap altcoins you can buy at a very discounted price, not gonna tell a certain coin but here's some tip, by a coin that is listed in good exchanges as good exchanges would normally list coins that has a good future potential.
2840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: November 05, 2021, 06:08:57 AM
My question is : *How far is day trading from Gambling according to you?*
Is that a valid comparison?? Are we soon going to consider the day trading *gambling?*
There's a valid comparison if you are gambling based on your skills.

Problem is, the majority of the gamblers do not use their skills, they tend to rely on their luck more and they are undisciplined, so you can really expect that problem will occur over time which is what creates an addiction. Day trading is different, before you enter into day trading, you already understand the risk and your chances, you don't play the game by just doing some random choices, you choose your strategy based on the information you gathered and the experience your earn.
