2821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 13, 2020, 09:02:43 PM
The second ODI resembles the first T20 match between England and Australia, chasing a target of 162 they reached 98 runs without loosing any wicket and then failed to score the winnings runs by 2 runs and in this match after a good partnership from Finch and Labuschagne Australia was posed to win the match and then a wicket changed the entire match upside down.
2822  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: bank account freeze by cyber crime after trade in localbitcoins on: September 13, 2020, 07:37:06 PM
Secondly, if the account is freezed for investigation by the police, then the chance is very little that you will get back your account ever in your life! So if the amount is small, it's better to forget about it. Otherwise, hire a lawyer and file a court case as well as involve consumer protection forum into that. That's the only way you will get back your account.
He will get his account back, once they froze the account because of illegal activities they will ask you to present yourself for questioning and if you could give them the proper answer and provide the proof of transaction which the OP can very well submit the details from his local bitcoin account and then you will not get into trouble, but he will not get the amount credited through hacked account.

Does not look like the England will be able to post a big total against the Aussies.
England lost their  8th wicket for 149 runs and if they are able to put 82 runs from that situation, it was a great recovery from Curran and Rashid and in retunr Australia is sailing smoothly till now and England is not troubling the well set Finch who is playing a captains innings and Labuschagne and until they are able to pick a couple of wickets Australia will easily chase the score.
2824  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB Lagarde: COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend towards digitalisation on: September 13, 2020, 04:12:05 PM
Of course, we have seen some tremendous growth towards digitalization in recent months because of the pandemic. I mean people are buying online more often, contactless, using their credit/debit card or probably small percentage with their crypto.

But we will have to see the effect after the pandemic is over, she mentioned that it will be sustainable, but is it?
The rapid growth of E commerce business during the pandemic was multiple fold and it is possible we will see that trend continue in the future, i am sure millions of users who never purchased anything online tried them for the first time when everything else was shut down and the only possible way to purchase was through E commerce sites and if they find it more appealing then those customers will continue purchasing online which will put a big dent of the local store business.

Most central banks will create or co-create with other central banks their own stable coins. There is no doubt about it. Problem is that people will not use them that much. Not in a long term.
What do you think they will be using as collateral, if you are saying they will be using a floating currency, which currency they will be using and if an asset like gold is used do you think they will be having the reserve to hold that much gold.
2825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 13, 2020, 12:16:02 PM
Eh... No changes in the Australian squad, Just heard that smith got hit on the helmet during net session, that's why he's not playing.
It looks like Steve Smith is afraid of the bouncers after getting hit on the helmet by Jofra Archer in which he suffered a concession and now in the nets he is getting hit by bouncers and i am sure when he plays Test match against good fast bowlers they will be peppering him with bouncers rather than allowing him to settle Cheesy.

Match started and Hazlewood is continuing his impressive form as he started with a maiden, England needs to post a big total to put Australia under trouble and hopefully they will level the series.
2826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on refunding 800 BNB that are effectively burned? on: September 12, 2020, 05:54:50 PM
The next burn will be in three days time but, as stated in the tweet, they'll remove 800 BNB there and use it to refund the guy who begged CZ.
What's your take on that?
Lets get it straight, i am not a fan of BNB coin and i am not a big fan of CZ either, but if he could sort of issues regarding the exchange and even though it is not a conventional process of returning the coin i think it is a good cause as the coins sent by the user was burned and is not in circulation as per the tweet and if they are burning the coins and if he is willing to hold off 800 BNB to refund the user, in theory they burned the same amount of coins.

The problem arises if more people start taking this approach, the power of centralization exists  Cheesy.
2827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis: US Open 2020 on: September 12, 2020, 03:30:54 PM
Today Osake will play against Azarenka for the title and I am slightly leaning towards Azarenka. I think it will be a closer match, than the bookies expect, so I placed a bet at over 2.5 sets (@2.3).
Victoria Azarenka is a big underdog and i like the odds and there is no doubt that Naomi Osaka dropped a round from the early rounds and the theme for Naomi Osak in the tournament was dropping the second match and i wont be surprised if Victoria Azarenka becomes the champion and her theme was to drop the first round and then win the next two convincingly, over 2.5 sets is a good bet.

Alexander Zverev played a match of his lifetime in the semi finals after dropping the first two games i thought he surrendered the match and then to come back and win was incredible but coming against the inform Dominic Thiem he might struggle and he will be exhausted with the number of hours Zverev spent in this tournament and i am picking Dominic Thiem to win.
2828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in India on: September 12, 2020, 08:44:14 AM
Recently I hired some virtual assistants on Upwork to help me grow my website, however, for some reason they tried to destroy my search engine rankings.

Do we know if the country of India has something against bitcoin or anything recent in the news that would suggest this?
If an individual you hired was an asshole and tried to destroy your website, you need to blame him and do not put the blame on the entire country, by the way you could report the individual or user if he tried to sabotage your website but what does India has a whole have anything to do with the event  Roll Eyes.

There are many BTCitcoiners in India but you will find many scammers and assholes because it has a billion population. Put the details of the user you hired and let the world know if he tried to destroy your rankings on purpose rather than having assumptions on why he did Wink.
2829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 11, 2020, 10:28:03 PM
England lost the match. No one expected this result once the match was started. Aussie played a good game and come back strongly in the match. For the first time England are losing the series by 0-1. Let's see how they come back in the next match or is this their first series loss after the covid ?
This match will boost the confidence of the Australian players as they played the match without Steve Smith and able to perform really well in the middle order even though the top order failed miserably and was reduced for 123 and half the side was in the dressing room and i never thought they would recover but Marsh and Maxwell played incredible well and the Australian bowlers did the rest of the job to trouble the England batsman.
2830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SushiSwap founder returns money and ask for forgiveness 😢 on: September 11, 2020, 06:43:15 PM
He became a world wide sensations because of his exit scam and that spooked him to come out and apologize to everyone or CZ who took the heat for the event by allowing these scams happen in binance and CZ is settling with him to come out and do these things and he will compensate to make him look good and for his exchange. The founder is still anonymous to the general public and there is no way he would come out unless there is something going on in the background.
2831  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex will stop serving a number of countries. on: September 11, 2020, 11:41:00 AM
Due to regulatory requirements, customers who reside in certain countries (see full list below) can no longer use the Bittrex platform. This list was updated on September 2, 2020.
Most of the countries mentioned are third world and poor countries and i wonder why they took the decision to ban the customers, may be they faced illegal activities and fake verification identities, i was expecting all these exchanges coming up with restrictions like these when regulations come into affect but it is sad to see that they are banning countries even before that. There are many exchanges that had these ban and expect more exchanges to follow the process.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 10, 2020, 11:45:33 PM
This is clickbait hype by mmajunkie and only looking for attention by Nick. Nick Diaz has not fought in the octagon for 4 years. Darren Till kill him hehehe.

Also, watch Nick's interview with Ariel Helwani. Nick appeared to have cte damage. I speculate that to be the hidden reason why Nick has never returned to the UFC.
Even Dana White announced that Nick Diaz approached him and he is looking for a money fight, the fighters that are talked about are GSP  rematch and there are talks about Conor.

Another news is that Khamzat Chimaev got a visa finally and now he is booked to fight in the US this month against Gerald Meerschaert and he booked his second fight in fight island Dubai and that too against Demian Maia which is crazy. I have not heard or seen any fighter being booked twice back to back and his fight against Demian Maia is a series step up in competition and i seriously feel that he is rushing things and might backfire.

Nagarkoti did change his bowling action a bit last year and it might effect his pace. He's in good hands for quite some time so i am optimistic about his career graph, let's see what happens. I don't know about Mfuneko Ngam but agreed on your statement. Having said that we do have Pat Cummins's example in front of us too so it could go both ways.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi are the young prospects i am looking forward representing India for a very long time and injuries have kept Kamlesh Nagarkoti for a couple of years but what i heard is that the selectors are giving him good support and treatment to recover but i have not seen him bowl with his new bowling action but i came across an interview last year that he said he has not bowled a bowl in over a year and he is not sure about his rhythm and he has praised the Kolkata Knight Riders team for supporting and hopefully we will see him play this season.
2834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Are Trying To Break Into This Bitcoin Wallet Holding $690 Million on: September 10, 2020, 02:55:07 PM
I'm pretty sure it's a genuine address, I checked it in an explorer. And I don't think it's an advertisement for the forum; it's only mentioned once. And Bitcointalk is discussed as well.
The wallet mentioned is genuine and the bulk number of coins moved into the wallet around the Mt Gox era and the wallet is still active and getting dust amount for a long time and the recent one was this August.

There is an old thread in speculation that mentions this address

How can one be so sure that it's for that wallet, though? Just because it's posted like that? It can be a prank or something.
As mentioned in the article it is possible that scammers are trying to sell the DAT file editing to look like the hot wallet.
2835  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 1,500 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!!! on: September 09, 2020, 09:59:37 PM
Bitcoin began to be accepted as a means of payment in the Just Eat restaurant delivery network in France. Users of more than 1,500 Just Eat food delivery restaurants now have bitcoin as a new payment option in the franchise's mobile application, in addition to credit cards, PayPal, cash, among others.
It is a good news for all the BTCitcoin investors as they are getting more options for the currency they are holding, but i would like to know the procedure, are they allowing zero confirmation transactions while verifying your identity or you need to wait for the confirmation without verifying anything. If anyone in the forum tried this payment option i would like to hear from them.

But I read that he served as a member of parliament for sometime and therefore thought that he may be having some administration experience. In case Sachin is not suitable for the job, we still have a number of ex-players who can be considered. First one comes to my mind right now is Kumar Sangakkara.
Sachin was nominated in arts quota and hence became the member of parliament and he never displayed any administrative skills and i do not think that he will be interested in the job, Kumar Sangakkara on the other hand is a lawyer and he will be the right candidate for the post.
2837  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Putin signed a law on the regulation of cryptocurrencies from 2021 on: September 06, 2020, 07:56:16 PM
~
They can't totally ban crypto as people will doubt about their digital securities in blockchain. Sooner or later, they will change again their stand in terms of crypto dealings. There are so many Russians here who are into crypto, so I am sure they are also waiting to have good news from their government.
They might not completely ban but they can make every Russian investors life a living hell by shutting down all the local exchanges and then impose heavy tax on cryptocurrency transactions.

~
Why not? if they see the crypto will be a threat to their financial stability and could be used by criminals, can hide their wealth and not pay tax, then a country like the government of Russia can issue it. And I really doubt that under Putin, they will suddenly change their stance. It's authoritarian, and most countries with this kind of government wanted to get control of everything.
These are the excuses any government who is planning to ban anything will come up with. If you regulate cryptocurrency then no one will hide their wealth rather everyone will be transparent with their transaction and pay the taxes according to the profit they make just like the stock market.
When it comes to authoritarian government which country is liberal, you cannot name many countries that are free to do anything and every country does have an authoritarian government and they impose things in the name of countering terrorism or any other excuses.
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2020, 05:13:43 PM
I just read the reports about Brock Lesnar out of the WWE and Jon Jones challenging him for a heavyweight bout. If that fight doesn't come to fruition but Brock still decides to sign up for the UFC, I'd like to see him fight Overeem again. That should be a good one  Grin

I posted earlier regarding the Brock Lesnar stituation, even if Brock fights Overeem again i am picking Overeem because he is a much better fighter and he is more than capable of handling him on the ground.

now with Brock Lesnar a free agent there are talks about Jon Jones taking on Brock Lesnar and even Dana White is willing to make this fight happen if Brock Lesnar is interested to come back to the UFC, but there are other talks about Fedor Emelianenko and Brock Lesnar and the odds makers have already gave Brock Lesnar as the favorite against Fedor Emelianenko but he is an underdog against Jon Jones.

so he is not stopping any time soon, few more years as he said:

While watching the press conference everyone was asking about his retirement and he shut everyone down and he is still eyeing for another title run.
2839  Economy / Economics / Re: Will India be more progressive in the coming years? on: September 06, 2020, 02:08:58 PM
I have been to India multiple times (in fact I am a regular visitor) and the stone-age views about cryptocurrency, cannabis, porn, prostitution and gambling irritates me. They need to become a part of the modern world by removing these archaic restrictions. But till now, there is very little signs of anything positive happening.
The stone age perspective is in the eyes of a foreigner, there are around millions of cryptocurrency users registered in difference exchanges in India and when it comes to porn India ranks in the top 3 position globally on porn sites and prostitution is not even grey in cities, you ask anyone public drivers and they will guide you  Tongue if not if you search online you could get the details of plenty of girls and then there are pick up bars in every major city, i accept the gambling part as it is done more secretively than the rest of the things you mentioned and hence do not be irritated about these things Wink.
I have my opinion against the economic policies of the ruling government and it is the only aspect that will doom everything.
2840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 06, 2020, 11:53:52 AM
Personally, I would bet on Australia first. Once the game starts and if Australia isn't performing well, I would arb by betting on England. If Australia is performing well, I would let the bet stay.
After watching the first match i am not confident to wage a bet on Australia to win, i have not seen Australia loosing a game from as a really strong position ever, i am sure Australia will be playing a much better game and will have the competitive urge to defeat them. If i am betting i would go with live betting rather than going for money line before the match.
