2821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative of trading//newbie here on: October 07, 2020, 10:26:38 AM
Newbies/inexperienced traders are advised to start with small amount or with amount they can afford to lose until they become good at trading.  Can you afford to lose 50 UNI? If yes, then learn to trade with it... probably by first having a basic idea of how to trade crypto (you can find some interesting/ok cryptocurrency trading tutorials on youtube for example) and then try it out on a good exchange to see how well you can trade.

If you can't afford to lose that amount (50UNI), then I would advice that you convert part of the coins to stablecoin and only hold the amount of UNI you can afford to lose. You can then find time to learn ways to increase your UNI and experiment with the small amount of UNI you have to see if what you learned works and if the earning is sustainable. If it's profitable and sustainable, you could gradually start converting your stablecoin to UNI for more profits.
I don't really know where you can earn that much you stated (2-5UNI perday of 50UNI investment)
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: October 07, 2020, 09:28:58 AM
Betting these days have been quite tricky, especially when it comes to football you never can be too sure as what might seem to be the result of the outcome untill the final whistle is blown.
One thing we must put into consideration in choosing what pattern our...

Even in any kind of game betting is quite tricky and risky at the same time because you dont know if the team that youre betting in would win or loose. The risks of being loose was still there. But of course you can have a little ray of sunshine to win when you were going to check its player and the team background, how they play, how many game the winned. Also from the player itself of course a different game has a famous name that was really good in playing its game. From there you can partially predict a end game result.

Ofcourse. It's probably like doing fundamental and technical analysis in Crypto trading and betting on two coins based on the analysis. I assume football betting sites already have tools for bettors to analyze teams/matches fundamentals, team records, players past/present fitness, players skills, etc.   The information will certainly help people bet right.
2823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 07, 2020, 09:01:02 AM
I have read a lot of theories about NBA being rigged and a little portion of me were convince, so I would like to ask you.

If you believe it's rigged, is it a disadvantage or advantage to us bettors?

Share your opinion and if you have some proof, kindly post.

Rigging will certainly affect the accuracy of bets. A good bettor who doesn't factor in rigging will likely be affected by rigged results.
I don't know much about NBA(I'm used to football), but I think you could factor in the rigging before participating in the bets to see if it's true, then avoid betting on certain games/teams/referees that will likely be rigged or encourage rigging...and bet more on games with teams/referees that consistently look fair
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🏈⚽ EVERBET.IO: MULTI-CHAIN SOCIAL BETTING DAPP !!! ⚽🏈🔥🔥🔥 on: October 07, 2020, 08:45:11 AM
Sounds interesting.
I can imagine how useful this will be if done right. Could work like social trading or something... where the good/skilled traders are followed by others.
Just hope it's really decentralized and there is sufficient rules to prevent irresponsible or very risky activities by participatants.
Bookmarked.
It is planned to address such bets through a community governance process.
Likely through the selection of randomized referees that get rewards for acting as such (that part is actually the most complicated in terms of doing-it-right).

You mean moderators (at randomized "referees") . Still close in meaning though, assuming you are referring to mods.

I guess you mean randomizing the referees is difficult to do or you are not sure how to go about selecting quality referees through the randomized process?

2825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade what you can't risk loosing on: October 06, 2020, 03:43:53 PM
Don't trade what you can't risk loosing
These words are very special. This is life changing words. When you putting your money on any project ,your money can go both way, in profit or loss. If the project succeed then money put by makes you gain but if project not getting success then you can not even recover your money. This is called absolutely lost. Everyone should know this in market or trading, or betting put the money that you can afford to loose.

Same in most businesses... you start with what you can afford to lose until you are grounded and start being consistently profitable in the business.
If you don't want to start small, you could learn the business first and practice it for free via apprenticeship, getting goods from people/friends for free to sell(& share the profit with them) etc and see how profitable you can be.
2826  Other / Off-topic / Re: could a deflationary defi project change the way defi is moving on: October 06, 2020, 02:49:36 PM
The token has to be very useful to users, not just deflationary. I think the usefulness and fundamentals are very important factors to consider while developing/participating in a crypto project, otherwise it's as good as sharing millions of useless shiny stones amongst the uninformed and controlling the supply to make it deflationary.
2827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illiteracy due to online exchanges on: October 06, 2020, 02:10:52 PM
Agreed. The centralization of the exchanges most likely contributed alot to how people view Bitcoin and others. Probably one the reasons it doesn't make sense to them.  I imagine the exchange users wondering: "How can this people say it's decentralized, transparent, privacy-friendly/anonymity-friendly, immutable, censorship resistant, permissionless, secured, consensus-driven etc whereas it's not"

The worst is that people who should know recommend those centralized exchanges/platforms and don't seem to be bothered..
2828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption - Climate Change - Internet Access on: October 06, 2020, 10:58:33 AM
It doesn't have to be completely virtual currency. It should be both virtual  and physical currency. I sometimes find the idea of eliminating physical currency really strange. If you prefer virtual/digital, then go for it, rather than imposing it on people who prefer something different.
I think you could create a small Local "internet" Network in a community and bitcoins/cryptos could be used and printed in the community like you would use physical currencies. You'll need to build the applications and equipments for this though. And I believe it will be cheap to build.
2829  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dogs or Cats? (Highly off-topic) on: October 06, 2020, 09:56:24 AM
I actually like both. They can serve different purposes at home or other places, and can be really friendly/loving pets.
I don't prefer any particular color, esp if it's not too colorful, completely too dark or white... so they don't attract too much attention from people. I don't mind having the colours though, if they won't be bothered
2830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 06, 2020, 08:51:45 AM
Having good knowledge and enough information is such an advantage for you to win the game but it doesn't mean that you the odds of winning are always on your side, it will help you to know whether the opponent team is matched on the team you know, that is the only advantage that you can have in sports betting. It is really hard to bet or to choose where to bet if you don't have a little bit of knowledge about the game. It is just a full guess for you and it will only be based on the luck if you win the bet.

Ofcourse! I believe lots of information/knowledge is really require to achieve success in skill-based bettings. Without this, you are depending on luck as a bettor even though it isn't luck-based games/competitions.
If I want to bet on a match, I will learn alot about the two teams rather than just bet blindly, without knowing enough or anything atall about the teams

2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: October 06, 2020, 08:04:02 AM
The longer we play we get curious and will try different strategy but we will understand in the long run that risk is always present regardless what odds we pick.

I guess serious bettors would learn from experience the longer they play. Bur the problem  would be how can they learn without taking big risk... Probably with small bets, free bets or by practicing for free on some sort of dedicated free betting platform(more like demo trading)
2833  Economy / Economics / Re: Non-Government Economic System (Anarchy) on: October 05, 2020, 05:15:58 PM
How about rules/laws, is that compatible with the ideology? I have always seen anarchy as an ideology that hates rules, laws, orderliness (and government). I wonder what a community will be like without governance.
I don't really believe in any particular man-made ideology. I prefer something that is moral and works.
I was going to ask that question too, rules/laws are very important and from the way I understand anarchy it should be a world where people are free to do whatever they want to do without government interference and the way I see it, that’s going to be very bad.

The idea of people having freedom might seem really good, but that’s only when everyone is only out to do something good, which we know is not very possible in this world. So, this whole idea of anarchy is not for me, I am not in support of a world where people will act however they want.

A humane and sensible ideology would be:  "freedom to do what is good/right/moral." Do everything in love for GOD and people. Don't move outside of the boundary of Love or you get punished.

GOD created everything... If you love HIM well enough, you wouldn't abuse HIS creations or displease HIM. You basically find what pleases HIM and do them always. You can only do what pleases HIM always if you have HIS Spirit in you. So, people with HIS Spirit in them can live without human laws/rules and still do things right/morally always.
2834  Economy / Economics / Re: Money printing and inflation explained on: October 05, 2020, 12:01:26 PM
You don't necessarily need to destroy/burn money in Crypto unless maybe it's crime, dirty or invalid money.   I think I would prefer cryptocoins to continue to be in circulation and taken out of circulation until the coins are no longer good to use.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: everything can happen on bitvest on: October 05, 2020, 11:38:39 AM

Can someone brief what OP is trying to convey with this image.

Is that the image op posted?
I checked the link but saw nothing(probably from my browser), and the image didn't show on his/her post.

Anyway, I wonder how much in total Op started the bets with. If it's less the the total win, that means he/she did well or is profitable.
However, the Balance is 0...guess op has already withdrawn his/her win.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question: Is there any websites where I can gamble crypto under 18? on: October 05, 2020, 11:18:51 AM
How old is the under 18 exactly?
If by "gambling" you mean "taking big risk on bets" then I can assure you that you are not supposed to gamble even as an adult. You can however bet little, and only what you can afford to lose. But betting as under 18, it really depends on the country you are from. Does your country allow kids to bet without supervision from guardians/parents? *Gambling* is out of the equation here because kids are not supposed to gamble at all.
2837  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do they use our computers for CPU mining? on: October 05, 2020, 11:04:59 AM
Are you serious about this:
Quote
I am a gambling fan who has almost tried all the gambling websites that exists.

You really tried almost all gambling sites that exist?  Specifically what "gambling" sites are you referring to, crypto-based betting sites, non-crypto betting sites or sites that allow specifically gambling(which could be both crypto and non-crypto based)
Do you have to leave you computer on to autobet or is this just a short autobet?
2838  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many posts have you merited? on: October 02, 2020, 03:58:00 PM
I'd probably spend all of mine in a short time because of the many nice and interesting posts I often find. I honestly don't feel very comfortable giving 1 or 2 persons in a thread while leaving out the others.
And It's bit difficult for me to give out merits without specific reasons. Wish it's possible to give out the merits with little comments/notes (or have list of reasons to choose from) why i did so... more like it's done with reputation. That would help me have something to comment or list of reasons to tick while giving out the merits, so others I didn't merit won't think I am partial or something. Maybe sending the merits anonymously would be preferable also Smiley
2839  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If only we had a crypto version of Ebay that could save us the hindrance of fee on: October 02, 2020, 03:19:12 PM
One more thing that would not work is to way to refund payments and return products, and that is something we see in ebay everyday.
.Slow speed would also not be so user friendly.

This can work well with advanced escrow system on a decentralized marketplace.
If you have a contract with your seller and the goods turn out to be different from what the seller claims in the agreement, you lay complaints with proofs on the decentralized marketplace. Qualified arbiters go through the complaints, if you have a good case, you return the goods and automatically get a refund.
2840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mediocre/People. on: October 02, 2020, 02:46:53 PM
I wonder why you use the word mediocre for such people.  Is it mediocre on just the understanding of Bitcoin or mediocre in all other areas of life? I think people who don't understand Bitcoin would most likely be good in certain other areas of life. Lots of them probably don't see the need for Bitcoin yet,  it isn't explained well enough to them, it doesn't interest them,  they are just cautious etc..
I believe when people find Bitcoin unique, secure, very useful, easy-to-use, etc... and that they can use it with little to no problem,  they will likely attract others people.
