2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: this eth congestion sucks almost 5 hours on: March 01, 2021, 07:01:28 PM
i have sent some erc20 token to binance. now almost 5 hours still going. am really fed up with this.... bsc is the best and trc20...  eth sucks
Everyone is facing the same problem and the depressing thing is that some tokens can only be moved on the ERC20 which means you either keep them which might mean loss of value on the token, either you send it with unwantedly high fees or just wait for days to confirm on the blockchain.

With the situation we are seeing now, we can wait for the moment when the most dedicated followers of ETH will abandon it in favor of the BSC. Indeed, the impossibility of working on the Ethereum network is already beginning to enrage.
I really pray new projects move to BSC or other chains like TRC because it will make space on the ERC20 and we can finally move our tokens and once I sell off my tokens which I hold on ethereum, I will never again buy tokens on this chain. I think with more tokens moving on either chain like BSC it might slow them down.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 01, 2021, 04:31:14 PM
I love to see Jerimy Lin back again in NBA. He is really eager with his goal to play again in NBA, if he will be given a good playing time, I think he can contribute with the team, particularly in the offense as that is where he is good at.

The Linsanity fever was a short lived, Melo ruined it and later Knicks traded him because they did not see anymore their expectation from Melo.
After that, Melo was not anymore playing like his old self until he has given another chance with the Blazers.
I believe Lin definitely got the short end of the stick because of Melo because Melo couldn't handle sharing the light at that time (for the past few years he has been begging for a few minutes per game and teams didn't even gave him that until blazers).

However we are in a situation where Lin is not that much wanted neither and he had to leave for China, not like he moved away from New York and became a superstar and just ruled over NBA after that, he played a bit and got injured a lot and eventually he was not even signed by any team in the league, you do not see any decent player to be not signed, even "worst player in nba" is in nba right now, which is why I believe him not being in the league is clear proof that he is not really going to help any team at all, he could be decent but he is not going to change anything that much hence I believe people are overreacting to his return.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 28, 2021, 06:22:35 PM
I can't believe that Juventus got a tie yesterday, even though they were missing some key players, they are a great team and they have enough to actually end up with a win over a team like verona, I mean not like I want to diminish anything Verona has achieved so far but the reality is that Juventus has so much money and so much power that even the most young Italian players are scouted way before they are any high age and get to Juventus affiliate clubs before they are 15 so even the youngsters of Juventus are better than some main players of other teams so the missing players weren't really looking like a problem for them.

However as we can see there aren't really that kind of case in football because let's face it even in the best of the teams could lose to other teams if they play bad enough, so I believe this was a case of that instead of missing players.
2844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss influence in massive dump on: February 28, 2021, 04:50:41 PM
I read somewhere that the dump was due to a mining pool (F2 Pool) sold a huge amount of bitcoins (3633) and leveraged x100 for the selloff. Those who tried to take advantage of the current price movement got liquidated but its not likely that it had something to do with the recent dump. Not sure how accurate the F2 Pool selloff rumor is but stop losses are essential especially in a crypto market that is volatile. Stop losses poses as your security blanket. What's important is how to properly place your stop loss. Ideally, it should be where you can still have a little profit from your first buy but when you're in a bull market like right now, where dips are bound to happen but a bounce is more likely.
I think you are talking about the Bitcoin slight downfall recently but the topic is actually about usage of stop loss function and if it actually helps or just makes things worse since we could have waited and got better price for the same token/coin.

With bitcoin I will never even think of using such functions because the price always swings but I use it for some other coins because I cannot keep a track of all the coins I own and how they are performing so the best way to maintain portfolio and avoid big loss is to place orders at lower than the market value in case the coin drops, we don't lose too much money for that one coin.
2845  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about borrowing against your bitcoin? on: February 28, 2021, 11:26:48 AM
Giving bitcoin as collateral to get the fiat money doesn't look like a great idea, you are expecting it to grow meanwhile you are paying your interest but what if the price of BTC gets crashed? Lender will ask for more BTC for sure or they will never accept it as valid collateral to get finance. First of all understand that if you are going to pay interest rates then it will be too hard to see any returns so saving money is the only smart choice whether it is fiat or bitcoin.
Yes, that's the only problem although I overall like the idea because the price has to go up technically speaking since the demand is growing beyond expectation and although there are swings up and down but overall the price is only rising. I like the idea but only so much that I won't implement myself but I don't mind others trying.

I would rather sell some part of bitcoins I hold and pay off my loans, then just focus on earning while locking my bitcoins in a safe wallet and don't considering selling or even trading them for years.
2846  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: February 28, 2021, 10:28:41 AM
Most likely, this time a new level of Bitcoin price fixing and cryptocurrency market capitalization will be reached. Then there will be a "sideways trend" with minor fluctuations.
The new average price after the bull run has finished should be around 40k dollars in my opinion and if things dwell well we might have a 50k dollar stable price too from where as you said it can fluctuate up and down.

As long as we are hearing about news about huge investments coming into the market the price will rally and you cannot predict when these institutional investors will book their profit and once they book their profit the market will go down drastically and it is not a big surprise and you do not need any skills to predict that but to understand their plans you need to have either insider information to book your profit on time.
What exactly do you mean by "inside information" if you could please clear. If you are talking about institutions holding money will let others know when they are selling it is never going to happen because it means they won't be able to grab the optimal value of their bitcoins.

Wonder what will happen once all the bitcoins are mined and out in the market, really get goosebumps thinking about that scenario but still think its far away right now. From there on the supply will only come down.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust In-House Casino Competition? (Wager/Multiplier/Raffle) on: February 28, 2021, 08:12:05 AM
I only take part in Sportsbet.io tournament competitions as I only play there.I tend to believe there are no faked names because as long as people are taking part in slots tournaments they are using money and the company in the end will only share part of this money to the top 5 players who wagered the most. There is no reason for a big casino why they would want to put random fake names in these competitions as there is nothing to be gained from this.
I also took part in the sportsbet.io American Hero streak challenge where we had to make bets on NBA and other sports and win the most consecutive bets to get the prize. I never managed to win the 1st prize but I do got free bet, I trust them but that doesn't deny the point that they can easily cheat if they want and even the usernames are hidden for user privacy. Don't mistake me, I really trust sportsbet.io a lot and would never associate them with such frauds.

my way of verifying is if the high roller in the leaderboard competition is not hidden and the another one is if he is active chatting in the public chat of a gambling site .
Yeah, but for example at stake.com there is a player who has the highest VIP level, GDLE but I never saw him in chat or anywhere and he even won the raffle draw of Lambo so I am not saying stake cheated or anything like that because everyone was given a ticket before announcement of the winning number and winner was chosen by google random number generator but the point remains the same that how do we know if such a player actually exist and not just a dummy account.
2848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Play Smarter 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: February 27, 2021, 06:27:35 PM
Another unreasonable high withdrawal fee Sad .

Mempool is ok for at least 5 hours now and yet the fee is at 0.00025, way too high!

https://imgur.com/a/fU7rN6o
I know the pain being myself a gambler but there are lots of solutions for the problem. You can either play with coins like TRX or XRP which have almost negligible fees for withdrawal and you don't even have to wait for confirmations either.

If you somehow deposit BTC and now stuck in the situation then I have another solution for you, just visit this site https://cryptogamblers.pub/exchange make an account and follow the instructions and you will be able to convert your Bitcoins into any coins supported by stake within minutes but at a small exchange fees. I am NOT promoting the site though, I used them and worked out very nicely for me.

Whenever I am playing small, I use this service and convert my coins to withdraw.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your worst loss in 2021 bull run on: February 27, 2021, 01:37:41 PM
I just bought $ BAND and $ EOS on Binance, I got the info to buy those coins. However, only 2 days Bitcoin dumped and made all Alt coins dumped. This is the first time I have lost. I hope my assets recover and getting big profits.

This is not the last of the loss that brought us the dump of bitcoin. As expected, the decline in the price of BTC was followed by an increase in dominance, which led to even greater losses for altcoins. Over the past day, positions worth $ 5.64 billion were liquidated, of which $2.5 billion was accounted for by Binance.
I think this last drop should not be considered a "loss" unless you sold it. I have "lost" some profits as well, if I sell them right now I would be in a loss (well only from profit) but I haven't, in fact I am planning on putting some more money in it instead, that would be easier to buy some more today, and sell later on, and I know that eventually we are going to have a lot more drops and I could buy even more if that happens, however I feel like this is just a correction.

We had a huuuuuge correction in January as well and we recovered and moved 2x after that, I feel like same could happen today as well, who knows what we are going to do, maybe we will be doing a lot better in a week? Maybe we will be 60k? So, it doesn't make sense to call it a loss right now, but it could be a loss if you sold it, or if you end up selling before it goes up higher.
2850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A Sudden Loss of Faith in Tether Would Pose Risk to Bitcoin, JPMorgan Says on: February 27, 2021, 05:37:10 AM
Just saw this article "A Sudden Loss of Faith in Tether Would Pose Risk to Bitcoin, JPMorgan Says."

https://www.coindesk.com/a-sudden-loss-of-faith-in-tether-would-pose-risk-to-bitcoin-jpmorgan-says

I don't think so, but what do you think?

(Maybe I am naive, but is there any direct connections between Tether and Bitcoin?)
On contrary if there was a sudden loss of faith in tether, that would mean people would sell their tether, why would anyone want to stay in something that they do not have any faith in? Which means we are going to see people running away from tether, and when they sell their tether what to do they buy with it? That's right, they would buy bitcoins with it.

This is why I think if tether lost all their customers, became a company with zero money in it, and every single USDT in the market was sold back to tether and all the money was taken back from them, we are going to see an insane and unbelievable increase in bitcoin. By comparison tesla bought 1.5 billion dollars worth of bitcoin and increased the market more than 10% higher, if we see 20+ billion USDT all switched to bitcoin we are going to see 2x easily for bitcoin all on first day.
2851  Economy / Economics / Re: "Looks as if #Bitcoin is eating #Gold". Good idea to buy some Gold now? on: February 27, 2021, 04:42:16 AM
Ideally we would have expected the gold prices to go up along with the hyperinflation caused by the stimulus measures, but the prices are actually going down. Many of the analysts are saying that there is an oversupply of gold at the market right now, because of people liquidating their gold savings to survive during the pandemic period. This is especially true here in India and I have seen for myself how people are selling their gold ornaments and coins after losing their jobs.
You have a very valid point as during pandemic a lot of assets were liquidated in the market including gold, silver and other valuable metals. This might be a reason why gold has seen a downfall despite expectations being the opposite.

Also it will take some years to get back to normal conditions which means people still haven't settled like before and hence cannot buy gold right now. The main focus is surviving and after that things like gold, silver or even Bitcoins are being considered.

I was shocked why Bitcoin market is doing so good lately because people were saving money after the pandemic rather than spending but maybe Musk and other investors have impacted the Bitcoin market too much.
2852  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the potential side effects of corporations selling fake crypto? on: February 26, 2021, 02:16:41 PM
PayPal has started selling "crypto" but they don't let you withdraw. Hence, if you think about it, they could easily only literally sell numbers on a screen rather than a math-backed, miner-verified real cryptocurrency.

I was wondering what could happen from an economical point of view if they (or any other corporation) did this and suddenly wanted to manipulate markets using false coins. What could PayPal do to BTC?
No I don’t believe that any of these things like this can affect the crypto market, especially Bitcoin. Though I’ve been thinking that the reason why PayPal has been doing this is because they are still new and they don’t have cryptocurrencies in their storage yet, so I guess they don’t want to rush into it quickly, and what they might be doing is that when you invest in their market, they then buy from other real exchanges and then keep the assets for you. Not really sure about this, I’m just saying.

But, if there are companies that are doing such thing as you have said, I think they will be at loss, because if the price should increase heavily and customers wants to withdraw their money ,the company will be the ones to be losing at a moment like this . So that’s a loss for them I think, unless they will use other customer’s fund to cover up.
2853  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 26, 2021, 11:32:41 AM
It also shows that the gambling industry is revolving very fast. In the last 2-3 years, it was only BTC as the majority and then ETH, DOGE and LTC. But since crypto has evolved at look specially bitcoin who's narrative has change, it's about time that some gambling platform needs to adopt and give us gamblers other altcoin alternatives to play with, as bitcoin and ethereum fees are skyrocketing right now.
Multiple coins are good for the players because they can avoid extra fees to be paid at the time of deposit while multiple coins can be increased in the expenses for the site itself because they need more money for their security to save their funds from hacks all the time.Still there are only bitcoin-accepted casinos are running successfully for some reasons.
That is the only reason there are multiple coins for many of the projects, because casinos are not in favor of making people pay 10+ dollars just to deposit when they are sending their coins to the casino, and end up spending 10+ dollars for withdrawing to their wallets back from casino as well, that is at least 20 probably over 30 dollars just to be able to play here, and that causes the casinos to miss out on the small fish that would like to gamble 40-50 bucks here, sure that is not really a big profit earner for them but when you combine 10 of them it makes 500 bucks, 100 of them is 5 grand, who could say no to 5 grand per month? That would be great.

So they always look out for a way to make the smaller fish to gamble here as well. Best way to do it? Would be adding new coins, that way you could end up with a bit of a profit in the end and use that coin instead.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 26, 2021, 10:50:28 AM
Once you a promote a project make sure you will get a money because that is your part of your advertise or streamer to get money because there is no free now. But it depends on their agreement on what they do on money they get on the casino while their advertising it. Also a streamer will protect their watchers too because it will cause you blaming to the other people once you promoting not good gambling sites.
Whether a streamer takes money or not I don't really care and appreciate him promoting the site but only if he is actually promoting a functional and legit website. There are some website who take money from scam sportsbook like 1xbit and list them as the best crypto gambling site which is what I just cannot stand as a player.

I don't mind trying a new casino because a streamer or a blog has recommended me but if the site scams me then believe me I will do everything in my power to make sure the person who recommended me will get punished or if he wasn't aware of the scam, at least remove the listing from their site.
2855  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much lower you think BTC can go in this drop ? on: February 26, 2021, 09:02:42 AM
Hi Guys i would like some opinions, in this drop how low can btc go before it starts going up again , any idea what is the resistance or what could the bottom floor be for it ? I was hoping around 40-42k but it seems that it does not want to go below 47k , what do you think ? Thank you
The price might even go below that particular price sometime, maybe it’s not going to be now. For now it’s just going to be going around that particular price of $40k and the $50k. And I believe that’s because the market is still being bullish, that’s why it’s in that position for long now. But anytime the market goes below the 50,000 dollars price I usually doubt if it will go up again to that price and all of a sudden it does.

So, I can’t really predict this market, the good thing is just that I invested very early, so I don’t have much to worry about, and I also don’t have any plans to invest at this high prices anymore until it goes down.
2856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is a crypto liquidity provider? on: February 26, 2021, 06:42:28 AM
I’m on the biz development team of a new token, we are self-funded, no IEO, ICO etc. We’re looking to list on a legit crypto exchange with real volume and we have funds to spend to secure the listing. Here’s my question, every exchange we talk to requires that we work with a crypto liquidity provider. What is a crypto liquidity provider, is this the same thing as a crypto market maker, as in someone that puts up their own crypto to make the market? Where can I find a crypto liquidity provider? Who are the best crypto liquidity providers in the space?
What liquidity providers do is that they fund liquidity pools  with their crypto, they are the ones that will help in making the trades possible, and in return these liquidity providers are compensated with the fees of those assets they are providing liquidity for.

For example, anyone that wants to be a liquidity provider for your coin will fund the token and another token, which will enable people to be able switch or trade those two coins, let’s say for example he funds ETH and DAI, that enables traders to easily trade these two coins, and the liquidity provider will be compensated with fees. That’s just what it means. Maybe you can still research to understand better.
2857  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: February 24, 2021, 02:12:09 PM
Why do many rich people make money easier than poor people. Because the rich have knowledge and know how to make money work for them, otherwise the poor prefer them to work for money. From simple thinking like this will have a different impact for the future. I worked in an office for about ten years but I couldn't afford a house and a car, but when I focused on investing and trading in cryptocurrency. It only took two years for me to be able to buy a house and a car. From my experience, if we want to be rich people must have the knowledge of how to make the money system work for us.
It might be true for some cases that lack of knowledge might be a barrier for them in their way to earning big but most of the times its situational problems like if you belong to a middle class family who never had the money to support you, then, despite having the best ideas and highest intelligence you will struggle making money.

Knowledge along with some luck and decent preparation might be the right combination for success and eventually freedom. Knowledge alone can help you think and address problems, but luck is needed for the plans you make to succeed and preparation helps you develop backup plans and making the plans even more robust.

Bitcoin was a combination of all three if you closely observe.

Luck: No one would have known about Bitcoins if Satoshi's wasn't lucky enough to generate enough interest initially.
Knowledge: Someone who created the blockchain idea in 2009, I am not capable enough of talking about his knowledge and skills. His work speaks for him.
Preparation: Things like confirmations on transactions, mining were a result of smart preparations.
2858  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 24, 2021, 11:09:17 AM
A while ago I thought the correction was already applied since bitcoin dropped a couple thousands of dollars, but it seems tho have recovered and plateaued for a while now so I can't say much for sure at this point. That being said it's really hard to predict when the correction will commence knowing that there is very strong resistance at the moment. Soon as that is taken care of we can expect bitcoin to dump.
I don't think we can and should expect Bitcoin to dump ever again because these prices are although a touch over priced in my opinion but by no means are fake pumps or being controlled by anyone, instead this is the result of a lot of factors like paypal allowing Bitcoin purchase, Tesla buying btc and accepting it as means of payment for the cars, Saylor buying so many Bitcoins and a lot of other news.

Yes there might be some price plummeting soon but it should stop quickly and market will stabilize at a moderate price. One who invested at any price lower than 25k should not even think of panicking because I really doubt if that price is ever going to be touched.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 24, 2021, 10:38:06 AM
Illegal in our country are those who make their own lottery from the result of lottery on the T.V but with little payment for entries and the price is not big as well.
Yes, the result of such lotteries are almost always rigged. They can always make their own people win and there is no verification process and the worst thing is that you cannot even complain about being scammed because you were wrong to buy those illegal lotteries ticket in first place and while they might get caught, although not sure, police will definitely trouble you for your actions.

They've been doing this kind of illegal gambling since I was a kid and when they get caught they will face some serious charges. because not only they copy the actual legal gambling platform, they also present themselves as one of their representatives.
The problem is that one gets caught the other one starts and there are lots of scam/fake lotteries going on in almost every country and the only way to close these illegal operations is if people decide not to waste their money and abandon playing completely on these sites.
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What games are best suitable for PvP gambling? on: February 23, 2021, 03:28:10 PM
Chess can certainly be a better solution. But I'm not sure that Chess will be very popular. After all, it's not a game for everyone and games can take a very long time. I once went to chess school and I remember that once a game lasted more than 6 hours. I think a lot of people would get bored with such a long game. We need a game that lasts no more than an hour and a half.
If you play chess online you must know that there are various settings players can chose from like maximum time per move or maximum time to make all your moves combined. So you can take 2 mins for example per move when its your turn which means the game will not go on for too long.

The problem with chess is that the person who is playing against you might be using some kind of script or computer based moves which almost guarantee that you cannot win and in best case scenario you might be able to draw the game if you are using such scripts. Chess is only fun and legit when players are sitting in front of each other and playing it. Maybe a face cam can help but still can be manipulated.
