2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 08, 2023, 06:27:54 PM
It usually comes down to the numbers.

If a casino gets a lot of unresolved accusations, eventually people will begin to lose trust in them.

The reactions will go from "unresolved? it's probably a cheat attempt by the player" to "there's something going on with that casino because it's a 5th time someone complains this week"
Trust me, the community works even when there's not enough solid evidence against a casino a lot of accusations can change how people see the business.

This is one.

If casinos can't really solve such problems within their platform, that just goes to show that they are incapable of handling such concerns and therefore shouldn't be trusted with any money at all. Players should be able to enjoy their time in the casino, and these unresolved problems will only make them feel uneasy in playing on that platform.

And I agree that the community will usually watch each other's backs against a casino that has had a lot of repeat cases in such a short span of time. If the same issues keep on being brought forth against a casino, that just means that there's really something going on that needs to be checked, and that players should be more cautious in dealing with that casino. The warnings will come from within the community, with or without solid evidence, as long as the numbers of similar cases pile up.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 08, 2023, 06:12:34 PM
Let's not add Floyd Mayweather into the discussion because Haney is different as well as Mayweather Jr. himself, I know that the retired undefeated legend is not that easy to defeat because of the defense mastery he had obtained and practiced, but Haney is just different because as of now, Haney is not picky in his opponent and just let anyone one come to him and try to dethrone him while Mayweather had to chose some opponents to increase his chances or at least let his opponent grew old first before he faces them.

Mayweather picks his opponent not because he's scared, but because he's looking for value on his enemy. He only locks in against fighters that will bring him money and not challenge whatsoever. He plays clean boxing, and by clean I mean defenses. He just comes in the ring and treats it as a business deal. He doesn't want to get knocked out, doesn't want to do all the bad stuff, he just wants to win and get the payout. That's why he mastered his defense and evasion plus jabs because he just want to score as much points as possible and not go out head to head against his opponents. He's a smart boxer and a businessman, but not so much of a fighter.
2843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real Estate Tokenization on: January 08, 2023, 05:40:25 PM
Doing this is kinda like creating derivatives off of stocks - it somehow doesn't make sense. While the idea of owning a 'share' of a real estate sounds plausible, whoever holds the title still has the ownership of the lot, and those who invested or bought a token of that lot/house will just be fools donating to someone that can easily run away with their money.

There are some things that just cannot be tokenized or be converted into crypto, and one of them is real estate. People throwing out these ideas here and there should really think a lot before they put out their ideas in the market and have some actual money involved.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 05:21:04 PM
I think even if abuse is eliminated, wagering requirements would still be there. If there aren't any then people would just go on and continue creating new accounts to avail of these bonuses. Casinos place these bonuses behind wagering requirements because their goal is to make money. Without wagering requirements, they are literally just giving people a lot of chances to win against them and it's counterintuitive to what they want to happen. Also, abuse will never be eliminated. People will always try and make things convenient for themselves and benefit themselves.
Wagering requirement elimination doesn't mean a free hand to create multiple accounts, what I meant is a working mechanism that will eliminate the possibility of multiple accounts and also total avoidance of possible abuse of the system in whatever ways possible. means that, casinos will have nothing to fear about abuse and loss of bonus money and other promos and players are only entitled to their winning alone with being handed other rules, that is when a player can deposit and withdraw the balance but the bonus is not inclusive but winning from bonuses can be withdrawn without any restriction.

Now I get you. I thought you mean the other way around. Even if the casino found a way to combat such abuses and whatnot, they still wouldn't want to remove the wagering requirements to activate the bonuses because this still gives the players a lot more chances to beat the house. And what if during those chances, the player wins big and leaves the casino without trying to play any further? That leaves the casino a total loss and they wouldn't want that. With wagering requirements, they can even squeeze in a lot more money from the gambler before they give out the bonus which cannot be withdrawn in itself. Casinos would always choose a win-win situation for them as they're in a money-making business after all.
2845  Other / Off-topic / Re: Virtual Cards For Online Sportsbooks and Casinos on: January 08, 2023, 02:43:24 PM
Why virtual cards when you can go the crypto route anyway? I doubt there is any that can serve your purpose at all, or they may be but the casinos that will accept them will be limited. In crypto, you will not have to worry about your banking information being phished. Just send the money over to the casino and wait for confirmations. After that, you're ready to go.

Casinos that allow the use of credit and debit cards run the risk of getting attacked by hackers for the cards' information. Better be safe than sorry, and since you already know cryptocurrencies, just buy crypto and use it to gamble.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 08, 2023, 01:38:27 PM
First off, you won't know if luck is on your side. It's not like you're doing something for the day and then suddenly you felt lucky and started to play. If that's the case, then everyone would not be spending their time and money in the casino without feeling that luck on them, and actually translating that 'luck' into wins. Next, how can you consider luck as a strategy if you can't use it at will? You can only consider some routine as a strategy if you can use it any time you need it in order to get the situation on your favor. If that's not what's happening, would you really consider it as a 'strategy' if you can't even harness that luck when you need it?

Superstitions, maybe you can employ to your gambling activities. But do not expect that they will work as they are, after all, superstitions.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 08, 2023, 12:32:27 PM
If casinos wouldn't show any solid evidence of the players cheating, and would just mention some internal stuff that none of us can view without showing us any screenshots or logs of some sort then it's safe to say that it's best to put some initial suspicion on this casino. If they bothered showing evidence later down the line, and if it matches what the accusation is, that is the only time we can let our guard down BUT remember that these proofs can be tampered in one way or another.

Usually I don't bother with these accusations if it involves less than a hundred dollars. But if it's more than that, then it's time to bat an eye and question the company's legitimacy and trustworthiness. It's also worth reading the platform's ToS and check when they were updated because there have been casinos in the past that changed their ToS after an accusation has been thrown at them and people were quick to spot that one.

2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Luck Was Measured In Percentage, Rate Your Luck In 2022 From 0-100 on: January 07, 2023, 11:19:36 PM
My luck would probably be lower than 20% Cheesy All my gambling sessions I have just spent money and never really recoup anything back. Even in sports betting wherein I think the events are an easy win for my pick, it'll just go against my bet and bam! Easy lose with juicy odds. That's why I never shared my pick until now that I have shifted my focus in sports betting and I have more time to analyze statistics and my bet. Right now I'm up in my bankroll and doing good so far in my NBA picks. Hopefully it carries over throughout the whole 2023 though.

Anyone aware of Mansion Invitational? Just saw some post about Blacklist International dota 2 team which consist of Karl, Raven, Kuku, Tims and Eyyou. It is what I think the most hyped dota 2 team in PH right now but sadly the are eliminated in the first tournament they have joined which is Mansion Invitational. They are still a brand new team and I guess they are lacking the chemistry they need. I think they are still forgivable despite the elimination they have. I hope that they will do well in DPC if ever or I guess it's a early game over for them.

Credits to KuyaNic

This is just the late 2016 TNC roster with the addition of Karl. They already have the chemistry and they already know how each other plays but perhaps the time they spent not playing as a team together really hurt that chemistry. They just need familiarity with each other's current plays but they can get this up to speed if they spend a lot of time playing scrims and joining minor tournaments. This team has a future in the SEA DPC, and a strong contender at that considering that a lot of SEA teams have reshuffled too.
2851  Economy / Economics / Re: Will central banks ultimately fail in their goal of lowering down inflation? on: January 07, 2023, 10:43:12 PM
Not really, they don't need to drop the prices, people are somehow expecting prices to fall and I have no idea why, they just need to keep prices going up just a bit, or not at all, which is quite possible. As long as you give good high interest rates, people will use all that extra money to invest and that means there will be lack of money and that means people will keep the prices cheap to be able to sell because if they keep it high then nobody would buy it since their money is in interest.

As simple as that, it is literally a high school freshmen level mathematics and everyone should be aware of it, nothing complicated going on here.

In an ideal world where everyone plays by the rules this is what's going to happen. The reality is different, and a lot of players are not playing accordingly as they have to play for survival and not for the equilibrium in the economy. Those who have the means to buy and sell will have a rather easier time powering through rough bouts of inflation than those who do not, and that's where most complications set in. You also have the governments and companies not working together to increase wages as the price of goods and services increases. It will lead to a lot of ruin in the economy short-term and if there isn't anything that the governments and huge companies do to fix the situation, it will eventually lead to even worse inflation that is no longer signifying growth of the economy.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: January 07, 2023, 10:06:03 PM
You gotta like the payout with upset, it's Hector 9.80.  But will Ryan Garcia vs Davis going to happen if Hector wins?

I think Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis will still push through even if Tank receives a loss via decision. If it's a knockout loss then it'll be hard for his team to pitch this bout to continue at all. But with the way the odds swing even heavier towards Tank's favor, I think we know the outcome of this fight. Hector Garcia still is not out of the game and a lot of things can still happen, but I think the outcome is already decided here somewhat.

It seems that this will go the distance, with odds of 4.xx, whereas, if this fight will be over 7.5, has the odds of 1.7x.
The odds for the fight going the distance is very tempting to place your bet with but bookies are highly favoring davis on this match.

That is if Hector Garcia can hold up his own against Tank. I think Davis's camp is looking to finish this bout very early and we might not even see anything greater than 7 rounds at all but we'll see. There's some juice in there but everyone is expecting a knockout by Davis early on in the fight.
2853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the maximum number of loosing streak possible in dice with 20%/5x win? on: January 07, 2023, 09:45:53 PM
It's all probability and luck. You can log all the results and make an analysis off of it, but you'll never really come to a definite answer on the maximum number of losses on such a setup. Each game has its own different identity that does not affect the results of past games. If that's the case, then everyone will be off to crack the algorithm in order to make a lot of money and casinos will not exist in the first place.

You can come up with your own conclusions and your own analysis and see whether you'll be able to come close with the actual results of your gambling session, but I'll doubt it'll come close the first try.
2854  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Palestine have an independent economy? on: January 07, 2023, 09:09:33 PM
They have their own economy that's for sure, but not robust enough to be a contender in the world stage. The little nation has been struggling for years to achieve full independence against Israel and is continuously trying to make ends meet with what little resources that they have. They have no capability to produce anything that will help their economic conditions to be better. A state that is almost fully reliant to donations and outside aid won't have anything great going for them in the long run, and will surely succumb to outside forces. Its citizens will also want to break free from the reins of poverty, and maybe even help colonizers in the end to 'free' them from such.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 07, 2023, 07:17:55 PM
I have to admit that I hardly ever gamble, and when I do it is usually national lottery or sports (football). The motives to do so are, on one hand, entertainment and, on the other hand, the little hope you feel until the draw takes place.

It's like most of us here gamble for fun. Only a few are ever serious of doing this as their money-making scheme, and perhaps most of them are on the card games and sports betting. In these games, you have the capability to change some factors that may affect your game and convert it to a win. Whereas in casino games, you just have to rely on RNGesus to bless you and give you the win that you're looking for.

I guess that holding cryptocurrencies is another way of gambling. You don't lose until you sell, so you don't have to place new bets, like every day is a lottery somehow for us. I don't know what would I do if cryptos didn't exist, or stop existing. The excitement of holding maintained over time which involves that, maybe, one day, you'll be able to quit your mortgage, or even retire early, is addictive. At least to me.

In itself it can be considered a gamble, but there's not much fun involved in it anyway. You just buy and keep it until it appreciates in value. There's no interactivity in buying and hodling, unless you're actively trading these crypto to cash and vice-versa. And yes, it's kinda like the lottery that you will win big one day after buying each ticket—in this case those small coins that you buy over time.
2856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 07, 2023, 06:09:56 PM
Depends on what motorbike are we talking about here.

Is it something already considered a classic? Is there any special interest in the market regarding your motorbike? What condition is the motorbike anyway? Bikes that are considered as street classics usually appreciate in value over time, and I have one in my garage collecting dust at the moment. Planning to hold on to it for 10 more years while also keeping its engine, electricals, and fluids regularly maintained. It's a great investment on its own already, and it's always good to have your investment diversified too.

As for your situation, see whether any of the factors I have listed applies to your bike. Generally, bitcoin is still a good investment long-term, but some assets can outperform it greatly depending on the rarity, value, and special interest for that asset.

If ever you have already sold it and it turns out that some bloke is willing to buy it more than what you sold it for, just keep in mind that you have bought bitcoins at the right time because of how cheap it is right now.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: January 07, 2023, 06:00:56 PM
Have heard of people waking up to go play draws on numbers they probably saw in their dreams while they were sleeping, and another where certain persons also place their belief on getting draws from mad persons on the streets (a situation where they buy food for the said mad man who in turn writes down numbers that would play draw on pool that very weekend), of which in most cases these numbers tend to play.
But in my whole time as a gambler and even amongst my gambling friends I have never heard of gambling based on jerseys number sign due to how repeatedly they flash on TV. It's quite weird though but I understand that gamblers can pull out every strategy possible just to get winnings anyway!  No matter the strategy anyone uses, what really matters is winning's.

People who do this are usually desperate in winning something, hence they believe that every single number that they come across anywhere is a sign that they should bet on it or use it as a guide on their bets. Not that it's wrong in any way but it just defeats logic and gives people false hopes to people thinking that every single occurrence of a number anywhere will give them a win. This will surely push them into the corner and will, over time, lose them money. Well lotteries are a money sink anyway so there's that. But on other games? Better use some logic before locking a bet.
2858  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there anyone who enjoyed playing table soccer on: January 07, 2023, 04:32:41 PM
I think they're called foosball, and on all companies that I've joined, they have this gaming room that has this exact table.

The reason why no one is discussing about this is because there isn't really much of an interest in this at all, but there are huge tournaments all over the world regarding foosball. IIRC, Nitrogensports.eu offered some lines for the World Foosball Championship or whatever it's called back then. The lines and the odds are pretty funky because the favorites are just the same people every year and the outcome of the tournament is very predictable.

Like pool, I think game providers can create this game for PvP gambling. But of course, the viability of creating such a game should still be considered and whether or not there is huge interest on it.
2859  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam GDP grows 8.02% in 2022; fastest expansion in 25 years on: January 06, 2023, 11:04:16 PM
Vietnam's exports to its neighboring countries probably helped this growth. They are starting to take advantage of their fertile lands more and more, and are trying to export surplus agricultural products whenever there is an opportunity. I like the fact that they are focusing mainly on agriculture nowadays because it means they can support a lot of their neighbors pretty well with what they can offer and in turn, they receive these profits that can help further more projects. Hopefully this economic growth in the country translates to salary increase too, because economic growth with wage stagnation isn't really growth at all.
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 06, 2023, 10:25:13 PM
B1t performance stats can be bad yes. B1t has a role in the decline of Navi, but it is necessary not to put all the responsibility on one person. I think the main problem was the fifth player, there are a lot of factors in the team that caused the regression. When B1t does not take on the role of carrier, Navi usually loses when s1mple does a single frag. I remember last year B1t and s1mple always carried the team by scoring high. It was very important to the huNter g2. I can say that it is better than B1t this season.

That's 2021 and early 2022 b1t that you're talking about. He usually was in the highlight reel doing clutches after clutches. I remember when s1mple, b1t, and Boombl4 made a lot of teams look like amateurs during their 2021 dominance. Those were the hey days of b1t that unfortunately I cannot see anymore. I guess the fault isn't only in b1t's inconsitency as of late. Electronic also has a part in their downfall plus the 5th man that struggled to find their tempo with the team. Sdy was great during his initial games with Navi, and the last minute replacement with npl just didn't really change anything to an already weak team. Hopefully npl makes up for his lackluster performance this 2023 though, for Navi to come back in the top 5 team like they just did in 2021.
