2841  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 28, 2022, 07:30:46 PM
We are all advising not to follow what OP is recommending he did not post that the method is effective and just inviting you to cheat he is already banned for a reason that he did not mention, you don't want to hear instruction from a guy who got banned you will just jeopardize your account so don't follow this method on a casino that you're playing if they don't allow the use of VPN.

You know what makes some people hook onto some things and later regret, that is because they love doing things they shouldn't have done in the first place. Your country ban something, doing it at your own will is a crime and there is a reward for any crime committed, then why risk it in the first place?
The earlier thread was complicated due to religious settings and of course, you know what happens if a country is ruled by a theocracy, their Yes is yes and No is remains unchangeable. I will leave to gambling if it goes against my country's objection not to talk of the KYC by casino
2842  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: February 28, 2022, 07:16:38 PM
Considering the current events in Ukraine and the open aggression from Russia, what are your thoughts on the collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms in support of Ukraine?

We know that 1xBET and 1xBit are owned by Russians. Do you know any more? Could we make a list of all Russian-owned casinos?

I'd love to support an initiative to help Ukraine! I think it would be great if we all raised our voices together and supported it.

If you are unaffected by war, you should not take sides and instead appeal for peace between the sides. Politicians began the war, and it should be their battle, not that of the average business person trying to make a profit.
Regardless of what happens, A casino is a Casino and will operate as long as it is licensed in that region and will offer more promotions to stay relevant if people choose to live for another.
Besides, Putin is the one that triggered the war, he is the one to be blamed and not any function casino from Russia.
2843  Other / Beginners & Help / Some potholes to avoid in every website on: February 28, 2022, 03:30:31 PM
We sometimes go to some websites with our device in search of one thing or the other that we get caught by a virus that we don't see coming at times. I was guilty of this potential virus back then because my eyes never go past free movies, I like downloading software programs that are free and aren't licensed, for example like crack windows, free photoshops, After effects, WinRAR, and also premium videos that are still private in cinemas. We sometimes download these files and softwares because we don't have money to purchase the real versions that are licensed for pay before use.

The owners of these websites cracked these softwares and modified them for free for users, then uploaded them to their websites for free download without paying a dime, most in return rely on traffic revenue to remain sustain for long time, google does not allow these types of websites to run their ads because they dont fit it requirement(illegal). Due to this barrier, they run their own ads for some products and brands, but overdo it for increased click/per pay revenue that may end you up with irregular traps without even realizing it, not to mention the softwares being harmful to your devices.

A cracked version of any program, not to mention the ads and traps you may find on any of these websites, is a risk to your computer, some of them are listed below.

Cookies: Cookies are good to some extent and not harmful but they should be optional, there should be liberty to how you want some info about your computer to be used. Imagine going to a website you have previously visited before and then it recognized you, the username, and your password, that's not privacy-preserving, imagine developers using your online experience to improve their website by monitoring your activities. If you value your privacy, don't accept those cookies.

This is an example of a cookie I saw on one page, and it explains what they'll do if you accept them.

Sport bets: seeing sports bets ads on a website are not even a problem at all, the problems begin when you want to open a page on a new tab and then you constantly get redirected to a gambling platforms, it's annoying, consumes time and internet data with this advert on websites.

Wining an iPhone/Money for spinning: May be the attached fake comments to a free spin wheel give some confidents but you should know that there is no rich company out there that has any free iPhone gifts and money for you, you did not win any and will never win any for free spin. Understand this and reject any potential virus on your computer.

Medicine that cure cancer and all kind of ailments: This one wouldn't just give you a virus, they are liars that will make you believe what doesn't exist. They will display all kinds of medicines that cure cancers and ailments, you may even see dick enlargement, save your energy because you will be redirected to risky websites.

Download this game and start earning: Apart from multiple players that play/bet against each other, I'm yet to see any apps that pay you to earn. I mean be logical, this is a waste of your RAM space, and who knows what you may end up downloading on your device.

Get hook up guys and babes that are closer to your Location: I know we all have outside life apart from bitcointalk but there is no girl anywhere near your area on that website, there may be real dating apps but definitely not this one, you will just end up giving up your privacy for a desire.

A tip
As a pro bitcoin holder on PC and mobile devices, avoid these when you encounter them, always make sure your Adblocker is turned on while visiting any page, this will protect you from ads on this website as well as any potential risks to your computer. Some websites identify adblockers and automatically refuse you from seeing any of their contents unless you disable it, it's a win-win situation to stay secure rather than watch advertising you don't understand.

Rich, you should know that this is a citadel for learning, for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. You should also know that this is an open place with different people from different regions, the least is to expect similar response from different people.

You are new here perhaps not to bitcoin but there are ways which things are done here which you have to follow, the thread you opened is similar to what been done by many users.
Take a look at this reply by Falcon [here] Ratimov has done already what you posted and it is well organized than yours and merit was fairly earned for your effort.

Don't get offended when they correct you, effect the corrections that are very necessary, you will improve with time.

Don't plagiarize. One love

How do I transfer money from GBP wallet to BTC wallet? I'm with CoinCorner.

I think he is trying to transfer a bitcoin from CoinConer to external wallet.
GBP deposit is supported by CoinConer, you need to make the deposit and purchase your desire bitcoin and then you can make a withdrawal to an external wallet.

I found a guide from CoinConer exchange, it should help and fasten the process..

www.coincorner.com/amp/buy-bitcoin-united-kingdom

If you are using an external wallet, your best choice is a hardware wallet and alternatively, download Electrum wallet.

2846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin censorship for Russian addresses? on: February 27, 2022, 10:24:21 AM
Every node verifies every transaction it receives, not just the first node.
Sorry if I didn't include that, every node validate the transaction.
If a transaction is true, they return a success message and if false, they reject it and return a message.  Lips sealed

Quote
That's not accurate. Whenever a new transaction is created, it is added to the pool of unconfirmed transactions known as the mempool. Miners then pick a subset of transactions out of the mempool (usually the ones paying the highest feerates) to include in the block they are attempting to mine.
Copied that.

Quote
Again, not correct. Miners compete to find the nonce (or other variable data) required for the hash of the block in question to be below the current target. Transactions do not have a nonce.

Learn from the Master. Thank you. Grin
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin censorship for Russian addresses? on: February 27, 2022, 10:02:41 AM
  • How do transactions get included in a block?

When you initiate a transaction, it must be authorized for evidence of spending by the real owner of the wallet address by presenting a valid digital signature. Your transaction is then spread to the decentralized Bitcoin network (decentralized nodes), the first node validates your transaction, and if it is true, it redistributes it to other bitcoin nodes until it reaches the last node, and lastly, the mining node verifies your transaction to be included in the next block of transactions. That transaction will forever remain in the bitcoin global ledger.

A Transaction >>> Digital signature >>> Bitcoin Network(Nodes) >>> Mining Node >>> Global Ledger

Quote
  • Are miners responsible for deciding which transactions are included in a block? I thought miners work towards finding the solution for the block.

I remember asking a similar question some weeks ago and the response from ETFbitcoin was: the mining pool choose the transaction.

In practice, mining pool usually is the one who choose the transaction.

Quote
  • If so, the block must be already created ? Who created this block ?
Blocks (blocks of transactions)  are arranged in a series of numbers, new transactions get added to new block whenever new transactions are created. Miners compete to find the nonce of that transaction, whoever has the most hash rate will likely solve the puzzle and include it in a fresh block.

Quote
  • When I send a bitcoin transaction, does it get sent to a miner ? How does my client (such as electrum) know whom to send the transaction to?

Check my first illustration.

Quote
  • What other parameters are taken into consideration while including a transaction into a block for eg. Fee? If so, is it possible that Russian bitcoin addresses can give an incredibly large fee to incentivise miners to include the transaction?

Of course, the fees determine the chances of your transactions to be included in the next block. If I decide to run my node, there is no way of anyone knowing the origination of my transaction with a well-secured VPN.

Quote
Apologies if my questions are too basic. If there are reading materials that explain in detail how the Bitcoin network works relating to some of the questions I posted above, I'd appreciate it if you can point me in that direction.

To know how mining works, check this beginner illustration on mining.[1]

2848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some tips on how to make 'genuine' posts on: February 26, 2022, 07:00:05 PM
You forgot to mention that they should avoid replying threads they have no knowledge, this will only put them in an awkward situation, you don't need to reply to threads when you have nothing to say. Also, avoid responding to off-topic threads, instead, look into more meaningful threads.
Sometimes the replies and mentions I get in certain topics aggravate me to overlook and ignore them because some of the responses are just too off, and joining them in their quest makes you one of them.

Lastly, if you have genuine mind to contribute to forum, write them formally from your head, don't spin any write up or copy any internet materials, it will backfire and the results has always been a permanent ban.

I just saw this, the reply came in while I was typing, and wasn't aware he had the private key. Follow the above procedure, very easy and simple. Thanks, Charles-Tim
2850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I have my wallet address, but I can't remember my wallet I used... on: February 25, 2022, 08:00:27 PM
I thought it was with blockchain, but no dice...

Hello user! If you have the private key, all you have to do now is import it into Electrum, and you'll be able to spend from the address.
I'm not sure if you're talking about a blockchain wallet or not. If that's the wallet you're referring to, you'll need the recovery phrase you were given during the backed-up process. Without your recovery phrase, it may be difficult to recover your wallet/private key. If you have access to your email and password, you can recover your wallet recovery keys, which contain your private keys.

The recent issue reported was from signature campaign and not from gamblers in the Casino. Signature campaign participants don't deposit on the Casino that's why we are the one that mainly affected on the recent updated but it was already resolved after a couple of hours after it was reported by concerned participants here. No need to worry about the issue since it's already fixed and Casino is continuously operating right now without a problem.

Ehmm! I happen to be among the participants and I was able to make the withdrawal after the issue was fixed but there is something I'm not sure if lack the understanding or that is how the casino works.

That's my balance after my withdrawal but before that, the white 0 balance was displaying some cents, like a free cents for a free spin but I didn't make use of it and is not visible again, is it that it expires or it wipe away if you don't use it?

I thought I saw something about Russia being removed as the Champions League final host.

There are likely going to be disruptions if the league you are betting on is mostly located in Europe.

Especially with crypto sportsbooks, I wouldn't risk it and bet on an event that could be potentially disrupted/postponed. They could hold your funds for ages and deny wins, etc., which is certainly not ideal.
It wasn't just the champions league that was removed, their league has also been suspended for 30 days until everything becomes clear.
I will be most disappointed if human life becomes a mockery for bets, that's not cool to even discuss or talk about, it is Russia and Ukraine today, you don't know what sideline yours may turn out and if it goes south, it will affect everyone just like corona time.

For sure those affected countries will never participate in any sports event, because of the current conflict between those two countries. They will not prioritize such thing because their lives is more important. Instead of thinking such things, we should pray that this war should be stop soon, for those innocent lives not get caught to the conflict between country leaders.

just Ukrainian players that are playing both national league and international leagues are enough to put a hold on some games, Europe dominates most football matches we watch over here.

OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ?

Well let me tell you what you do when crypto is low (shhh don't tell anyone it's a secret ...):

1.You build dapps
2.You create nfts
3.You start selling something
4.You create tokens

etc...

Why ? Gas fees are low when crypto is down ...when crypto is down be creative.

Is this from the standpoint of a developer or an investor? I'm still not sure what a normal investor would desire from the above list, but from a developer perspective, it's a great to-do list to start with, but there are other things to consider.
You can't build apps without factoring in the type of blockchain, and when doing so, you should think about the chain's throughput, consensus mechanism, and, of course, security.
NFTs? What exactly is it?  Embarrassed

What exactly are you trying to sell? Trading is an ideal base.

Why develop a token that will be worthless if no one invests in it?  Undecided
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 24, 2022, 09:58:42 PM
I guess there is a difference between trust and willingness to play.

People are still quite willing to play these games despite knowing that it's not provably fair or whatnot, presumably because of the entertainment value.

And that is honestly fair enough. I sometimes play these games for fun too. But the problem lies with streamers promoting this game as the equivalent of provably fair and dropping thousands in a single bet which you should never do.

May be some prefer the fun part with some pretty small  losses. It's not even entertaining playing where another person (auditors) say it cools to use them since they have  checked them. It will come to a point when you would be mislead and regret following what the front runner was showing you.

I will choose sport virtual  games where the risk is high than follow this, it's my money and its going to be my rules and my way and let the players give me the outcome.
2855  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 24, 2022, 09:44:43 PM
What type of assessment indicators you are referring to? There are some things which we can look out ourselves to judge from our instict that whether the project will be surviving or not in the long run. There are so many projects at this time in the NFT space like coins but you need to decide which is better one.

I can boldly tell you that instinct fails sometimes, and you know what? It's not because you don't you didn't properly analyze, it's maybe due to some factors that you can't control.
You see the good side of holding Rollbots NFTs, you will be benefiting from the Rollbit platform, unlike other NFT projects that will promise you reality on paper and will die on the roadmap shilling and disturbing the twitter community with their tokens.

Rollbots are cool. It will be nice if they attach some more benefits to increase the taste of investors?

2856  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: You always loose, and the house will be the winner ? on: February 24, 2022, 09:14:55 PM
If you continue to wager many times, regardless of the outcome, the house always wins ( either win or loss).
Let's imagine an average casino has a 5% house edge and you have $1,000 to wager on a game. If you win the first round, you'll have 5% to pay to the casino and the remaining 95% will go to your balance, if you lose, the same thing would happen. In the long term, the house will always win, but if you play and win the first bet, you will hardly lose to the casino, but the chance of winning the first bet is X, which is impossible to calculate.

Update:
Wintomato has been removed from the table!
There has been a valid scam accusation against this platform since February 03, 2022 and they have failed to provide any information to the community as to why they confiscated $20 worth of DOGE from one user.

A warning to those thinking of playing at Wintomato. Read this scam accusation first.
I asked them twice to share their side of the story here and here. Their forum admin was online two days ago and there is still no response regarding this issue.

I've been meaning to ask this question, and I'd appreciate it if you could provide an answer. I've searched the whole Google for clear answers, but none of the answers were satisfying.
Do we have a blockchain-based demo casino? It would have most of the games, spins, and other popular games found in other casinos, but it would be in demo mode. This faucet limits you to certain games, I simply wish that there would be a casino among those in that table that would allow one to check out their feature and learn things without a single deposit until you become confident that you're are ready.

2860  Other / Meta / Re: What is the limit of Activity points every two weeks? on: February 23, 2022, 03:25:53 PM
the maximum you can earn is 1 per day, which still means 14 every two weeks.

He didn't say the maximum you can earn a day is 1, you can earn more than 1 activity a day, you get 1 activity if you make at least 1 post on average a day and at most 14 activity in two weeks.

Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

Your account was registered on the 8th of May 2021 which happen 2 days after the new period on the 5th of May 2021[1]. So you had the chance to make 14 activity before the new period. If you have been active from then till now, you would have gotten a 24 period equivalent to 336 (24*14) activity but were not active in some periods.

There is nothing weird in your activity, the new period started today. Check this FAQ for more guide.
